2451  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Mini Art Quilt Swap 5 (Sign-ups April 10-18, Sendouts May 29) on: April 12, 2012 08:15:04 AM
With all the encouraging words and lovely comments, I gave in and send in my questionnaire  Grin (not that I mind)

I am very new to this, though not new to sewing. Maybe I will practice a little if I can find me some time to do so.

Thanks for sharing the links MareMare, they will be help full for me too! Normally I just do what I think is right, and if it's no good I have a seam ripper  Wink

I even googled small quilts and art quilts last night and added way too many to my Pinterest... Much to be desired there.

2453  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: Another Twig Sheep on: April 12, 2012 06:59:42 AM
Awww, I think this sheep is even cuter than the first one!!!

Love black sheep, the bell is so lovely too!

Great job  Cheesy

You can always sign up and be matched with another beginner! Quilting is much easier to do on a small project than a large one, I think this is the best way to learn Wink

Yes, the point is that I always want to do things at the highest level  Grin Not that I think I CAN, but I just want it...

It is very tempting and I have always wanted to learn how to quilt. The books are also very inspiring.
I already signed up for two swaps, hahaha, but have to check my calender if I can even find the time to join. It really sounds like a lot of fun!

Thanks for the encouraging words MareMare!  Cheesy
2455  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Mini Art Quilt Swap 5 (Sign-ups April 10-18, Sendouts May 29) on: April 11, 2012 11:17:35 AM
Ohh, this is very tempting!!! I can sew, but I have never done some quilting before.

I own a great book from Kajsa Wikman - Scandinavian Stitches with some CUTE little quilts in it. And another book from I. Berlyn - The quilted object: making things with quilt art techniques whit all sorts of GREAT quilt techniques.... Both books are very inspiring, but I never did any of the quilting yet....

Mhh, will think about this, the quilts of the previous rounds are so beautiful!!!
2456  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Shades of Dawn Necklace on: April 11, 2012 10:57:22 AM
No weird combo, love the colours too!

Maybe the rose is a bit on the bigger hand, but that also depends on who's wearing it. (I am quite "petit" so everything looks so BIG when I'm wearing it, that's what I meant by that) I'm certainly not saying it is strange or doesn't look right!
I think the beads are very lovely, both colour and shape.
2457  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: The Ongoing Poppet and Punkin-Along on: April 11, 2012 10:50:38 AM
Aww, how adorable! You're a great mom for making you daughter nd her doll the same cute dress. Cheesy
2458  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Geocaching swap on: April 09, 2012 11:53:31 AM
That geocache/letterbox swap was a lot of fun!

Hahaha, what do you think about finding a nano-cache??? It has the size of the top of your finger and usually it is magnetic. We were looking for a nano located somewhere on a watchtower where everything was made of metal..... AARRGGHHH!
We did find it though, but it was pure luck  Grin

Oh and finding a micro in the woods, last time we did that and didn't find it was because we were looking at the wrong coordinates.... Darn GPS, it doesn't always work so good when there are a lot of trees  Wink
The fourth time we went to look for it, we did find it.

We like the multi-caches the most. Our boys (5 and 7) both have a balance bike, so we hardly can keep up with them. Good for mom and dad's condition.

What a cute sheep, very Easter-suitable too.

2460  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: I Love Cats Or Dogs Swap; send by 5/1 on: April 09, 2012 08:11:51 AM
Aaaaannnndddd I finished a smallish/mediumish thing!

It turned out to be with lots of different textures and patterns, so I hope it's not too much! I do like it though and I tried a few new or almost new techniques! Let's just say that there is a lot going on in the ..... , lots of details but I hope you still can see the bigger picture. How's that for being vague???  Grin

I know what I want to make next, but I NEED those fabrics I ordered for that.... GRRR, so now I must wait for that to arrive.... "geduld is een schone zaak" - patience is a virtue.  Roll Eyes

Ehh, why are you waiting on pictures?? Instructions? Ideas? Inspiration?
