I received my swap package from poppymonkey. We were both in the Sci-Fi group, and we both had a mutual dislike for the book we had to read, so we decided to go with a general book theme.

First up is a set of etched wine glasses. It's hard to tell from my picture, but those are books on the glasses

Next is a book safe made from poppymonkey's copy of the Doomsday Book( the book we had to read for the group) and a really cool necklace.

Here is a close up of the necklace- it has flying books and butterflies on it!

Thank you for the very nice package poppymonkey

I received a wonderful package from sallyb last week, but I've been camping along Lake Superior for the past four days, so I didn't get a chance to post it until now.

First up is the crafted item. It is a felted bowl in greens/reds/pinks. It is kind of hard to tell from my picture, but it has a unique oblong oval shape which I really like. Now I need to find the perfect use for it.

Sallyb sent me 100 grams (which i think is about 4 ounces) of superfine wool top. The colorway is called Bush Flame and it is a beautiful mix of reds and pinks.

Finally we have the extras. Sallyb sent me some Vegemite to try out, which I did as soon as I opened my package. I am not sure I like it, but it is definitely unique tasting Grin She also included some Cadbury chocolate bars and 50 grams of the softest natural cashmere fiber ever!

And I am 32 and still have two baby teeth (that will cost me $$$ when they give out, ugh).

I just had to have four bridges put in because I was born without eight of my adult teeth and my four of my baby teeth never fell out. It cost me about $10,000 to get every thing fixed  Shocked

Here is my random photo of the day. I took this on spring break in Ontario, Canada. Every time I see this picture it cracks me up- I think I just like the use of the phrase "small humans". Those silly Canadians Grin

I love "Heirloom"! That is definitely a yarn I would put in a pretty bowl to display in my living room.

I just have three yarns this time. All of these were spun for swaps.

Mustard Mardi Gras
Spun a copperpot Merino batt

Magnum Steel
Spun from commercially dyed merino/tencel blend

Raptor
Spun from roving that I received from RhymeswOrange

I finally found time to edit and upload the pictures of the wonderful package that sarahj2001 sent me last week. Prepare your self for image overload Grin

Sarahj color coded the wrapping paper for each theme- what a clever idea! (pay no attention to the cat sniffing the gnome's crotch)

Gnome Theme:
Two great gnome stenciled t-shirts, a gnome stuffie, gnome resin pendant and shrinky dink and an awesome gnome cookie cutter.

Beer Theme:
A ducktape beer tote, beer soap, and bottle cap magnets from one of my favorite beers- Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss.

Tree Theme:
Two wonderful resin leaf suncatchers

Tree/leaf resin pendants and a tree shrinky dink

And a rock door mat that is already in it's new home on my front porch.

Prairie Theme:
Since there aren't any native Wisconsin Prairies where Sarahj lives, I sent her some seeds and other plant materials to craft with. She turned them in to some wonderful soaps:

Resin Pendants:

And a resin switch plate cover

Sarcasm Theme:
A really cool melted army man bowl. My husband was totally intrigued by this bowl and he kept trying to figure out how it was made Grin

Some wonderfully dirty broccoli and a resin pendant. There was also some great innanimate object face stickers that I can use to give faces to my stapler, phone, television etc. She also gave me a great puzzle piece cookie cutter.

And finally something that I have been wanting forever- a knitted dissected frog. I cannot put into words how much I love this! It already has a special spot on my craft room wall!!

Thank you Sarahj2001 for a wonderful package!!!!
