1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / 5 Foot tall Totoroctopus on: April 19, 2017 04:26:11 PM

I initially had an abundance of this gray faux fur I didn't know what to do with and people suggested I make a Totoro. I really love cephalopods so I decided to give it long long tentacles with a forest fabric for the underneath.

Hard to get a full shot of this giant. From top of the ear to bottom of his tentacles it's about 5 feet long.

I also made a little Soot Sprite friend for him. I initially was going to stitch him so it was wrapped in one of the tentacles but I decided I didn't like it at the last minute.

He took a lot of stuffing and time but I quite love him.

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Pumpkins! Three different sizes, two different colors. on: October 06, 2016 03:10:52 PM
I started making these pumpkins back in September because I'm pretty obsessed with Jack o Lanterns.
I made three different sizes!  Big, medium, and newborn.

Here are the 'Newborn' ones, in orange and black colors!  About palm sized.

The others are pumpkin 'Monstroctopi'  Part Monster, part octopus.  Furry pumpkins with stubby tentacles coming out!
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Two Little Monstroctopi on: July 07, 2016 03:55:41 PM
Made two mini monstroctopi! (Monster + Octopus)
Both about 5 inches tall, 7 inch antlerspan

This one I call a Mossy Monstroctopus, because the fur reminded me of moss. Smiley

And a Spooky Monstroctopus!

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Seasonal Kitties on: March 28, 2016 02:23:36 PM

I started out making this kitty design by making a simplified fluff ball version of my boyfriends cat, she's basically a big black ball of fluff with golden eyes.  I made a bunch more after that and called it a 'Fall' kitty.

I made a LOT.

And then I made a 'Winter' version in white once Christmastime rolled around!

And the spring and summer colorings I just finished recently.  Had to complete the set!

I also made some other plush based off this basic design.

Cheshire cat inspired!

And a large Jackalope kitty!

9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Made some pillows to express my daily emotions (Plus one that makes me laugh) on: March 17, 2016 12:14:43 PM
I'm sure I can't be alone in mumbling these words multiple times a day!

About 19 inches wide, 15 inches tall
Made with fleece, and stiff felt for the lettering.

And as for this one... I'm not entirely sure why I made it?  Except that when I thought of it, it made me laugh.

This one I was trying to make look more like a conversation heart font
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Gibbles! on: March 10, 2016 05:35:07 PM
Invented my own breed of monster I named the 'Gibble'.
Gibbles are a very nervous and jumpy breed of monster. Any slight noise or sudden movement sends them into a fit of screams, which is why their face always looks like that.

I've made large Gibbles, and little one-toothed 'baby' Gibbles like these little guys:

I've made an awful lot of them
