I just sent off a secret santa gift today and I made a felt appliqu hoopla of Cap's shield for it. It's pretty simple. I finished it with some red sparkly ribbon around the hoop and backed it with red felt. Of course, I only have an in-progressed picture of it mostly finished.

Lurv2knit, those bracelet/anklets are very pretty and very clever!
Thank you! I was making a lot of them for fundraising for my mom's Relay for Life team.

@lurv2knit: YAY Team Harry Potter Who-Must-Not-Be-Named!  Love the colorways & inspiration point of your bracelets.
Thank you! Like I said, I've gotten a season pass for my park and then the new coaster at Cedar Point really have me geeking about coasters (plus, something big's coming next year to Kings Island and I'm excited!)

lurv2knit - wooohoo roller coasters!! I actually went on my very fist roller coaster ever at King's Island (I feel like it was Aztec themed and probably not even there anymore), and have been a coaster-lover ever since!

I know! I was in 7th grade when I went on Beast (I went big, I know) and that coaster's Adventure Express (with the tikis at the end that moved their arms) and it's still there Smiley

lurv2knit--what are your bracelets made of?  they are lovely...I am also a roller coaster rider!  My home park is Hershey with 12 roller coasters! Cheesy  Give me an old-fashioned wooden roller coaster anytime...although I love the ones with your feet dangling! Cheesy

They are that friendship thread that you can get at Walmart - the metallic came from there too. Have you been to Kings Island and rode Beast? Awesome coaster Cheesy

Challenge/Battle/Alert: may's multimedia - blue
Team/Ninja: team who must not be named
Project Geekdom (if any): Roller Coasters/Cedar Point
Bonus Points: nerdy
Project Name: Roller coaster bracelets/anklets
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: So, one of my major nerdy things I love is roller coasters and Cedar Point (so much that I got a platinum pass just so I can go to Cedar Point and Kings Island, my "home" amusement park). Two of my favorite coasters happen to be blue. The blue/white/yellow bracelet is inspired by GateKeeper, Cedar Point's brand new coaster that I've been nerding about since they announced it last September and I actually wore it it the park a couple of days ago. The metallic bracelet is inspired by Millennium Force, one of the best coasters there at Cedar Point and one I can go the whole way with my arms in the air. Eventually, I want to make bracelets of all my favorite coasters (which I'm having problems finding a red and brown that's not embroidery floss).
