1  Panda monium quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by Eowynt on: June 27, 2017 01:02:08 PM
Hot off the sewing machine is this cutie.  It's from a free (and easy) pattern from the fat quarter shop.
I'm in love.

2  Giraffe family quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by Eowynt on: June 04, 2017 10:26:10 AM
This quilt came from a pattern from Sew Fresh Quilts.  I pieced the bottom of the quilt using leftover leaf fabric instead of the plain green strip called for in the pattern. Although the instructions were clear, it still took me a long time to finish.

The back is Origami Oasis by Michael Miller:

3  Playful pinwheel in Quilting: Completed Projects by Eowynt on: March 27, 2017 01:10:16 PM
Sorry I haven't posted in ages, but here's my latest. . .

It is a pinwheel pattern that has been modified using the Lazy Angle by Lazy Girl Quilts.  I used an abandoned quilt idea for the back*:

*I went through a phase of buying too many charm packs.

4  Starry night and Pokemon Totes in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Eowynt on: April 15, 2016 04:38:44 PM
The Van Gogh tote represents my cultured, museum loving side.  The Pokemon one represents my playful side.  Love them both.

5  Noodlehead's Poolside Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Eowynt on: August 29, 2014 12:39:07 PM
I love making small bags, but this week I ventured larger and made the Poolside tote from Anna Graham (aka Noodlehead).  It is really big.

I used a plain light weight denim for the exterior and a coordinating floral denim for the accents.  I used some random interfacing/batting I had in my closet, which is working well.  The bag really holds its shape.  I just wish I knew what it was.

I used pillow ticking for the lining.  The bears are in the bag to help it hold its shape for the pictures.

Comments are always welcome.

6  Out of Africa quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by Eowynt on: February 01, 2014 07:48:43 AM
My sister spent three years in Kenya teaching physics at a girls school through the Peace Corps.  Making a quilt for her for Christmas, I used her Kenya adventure as inspiration.

I also pieced the back so that it is two quilts in one. . . You can see the stippling here, as well.

Thanks for letting me share.

7  Re: Michelle makes the cutest patterns in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Eowynt on: December 29, 2013 01:36:07 PM
Just thought I'd share some more reusable totes I made from Michelle's patterns.  These are for my nephews, though I may have trouble parting with R2D2.

9  Black, yellow, and grey cross-body bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Eowynt on: August 02, 2013 07:40:56 AM
Do you ever fall for a fabric, even if it doesn't go with anything you own??  That is me with this line of black/grey/yellow fabric.  I am a blue girl.  Everything I own is either blue or wants to be blue.  But  then I fell in love     with a fabric  that doesn't go with blue.  I have had a blast sewing with it. . .  and I am sure someone I know wears these colors. . .  I shared about a bunch of the things I have made in this post: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=422248.msg5011259#msg5011259

. . . and here is my latest:

10  A very pink pleated tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Eowynt on: July 24, 2013 01:11:18 PM
I scored some fabulous pink batik fabric with a cool shell fossil motif (what are these shells called??) from an older friend who was destashing.  It was a find I couldn't pass up, so decided to combine this with a desire to try a new pattern.  I chose Artsy-Crafsty Babe's free tutorial/pattern, the pleated tote to make this:

Here is an interior shot:

And an action shot:

I am really happy with how it turned out!!  I may have to make more. . .
