32  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Lace Border Baby Blanket on: January 14, 2008 12:26:25 PM
Hello all!

i'm making this baby blanket:

Well, i am attempting too! But i am stuck on the 1st row! it says:

1st row: Ch 3 (counts as dc).
1 dc in each of next 2 dc. Ch 2 [(Yoh
and draw up a loop. Yoh and draw
through 2 loops on hook) 3 times.
Yoh and draw through all loops on
hook -CL made. Ch2] twice in next ch-3 sp.

i understand that it it making a cluster.. but i am quite new to crochet and i was wondering if anyone could explain what's going on in the pattern more clearly please?

i have been looking in my crochet book and online but i just can't seem to make sense of it!!?
33  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Princess Pram Cover help please? on: January 09, 2008 12:16:02 PM
This is my first time posting a question....

OK, so.. my friend asked me a favour and wants me to make a baby blanket for her to give to her cousin... after going through loads of different free patterns she chose this one:

Its a nice design i think.. and it is pretty simple.. but she has asked if there is anyway of making the 'leaf/petal' bits a different colour maybe blue n the rest white? i am just having trouble trying to work out how to do it? i'm probably being stupid and overlooking something really obvious.. but i was just wondering if there are any suggestions?
