31  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / When to stop- on: September 09, 2007 07:20:41 PM
I can't quite decide if this is a worthwhile thing to post or not, since I haven't been here long... forgive me if it seems silly..

While I'm a firm believer in "anything worth doing is worth doing to excess," I would like to be able to do simpler projects... I signed up here, and there are lots of amazing things that the creator did not spend hundreds of hours on... but I can't seem to do it myself, but I really want to.  I quit counting the hours spent on each project I do, because it got a bit scary.

It seems like things are only done for me when there isn't an open bit left...

I know asking 'how do you know when something is done?' is too vauge.  I reckon I'd be pretty happy to get tips on planning simple things, and how to make simple look 'finished'... or how to not get so dang carried away?  (aside from medication, teehee).

Here's an example of my excessiveness- this was my first embroidery project..http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a26/corcy/new020.jpg
