Ive spent the last few days making this reindeer from copper and aluminium wire and gemstoness - he's been a real labour of love!
Inspired by an amazing wirework artist here in the U.K. - Laura Binding. He has Amber in his back, marcasite and tigers eye face and black spinel (I think) eyes. Taken about 50 hours all in, I hope you like him
I'm challenging myself atm to make daintier jewellery that has more mass appeal. I'm really pleased with this Amerhyst ring I came up with, and have worn it pretty much constantly since, with a different ring, also copper and amethyst but more simple, on my next finger.
Whilst I'm showing rings, here's a tray full of others I've made.
I can't remember the last time I owned a watch, I tend to just use my phone, but thought I probably should at least own one now I'm a grown up adult! (Officially 33, maybe not mentally!) of course being a jewellery maker I kind of needed one id made myself! This is what I came up with, hope you like xxx
Something slightly different for me today, this necklace made from bare copper wire, labradorite and agate flowers and emeralds for the vine leafs! Hope you like it! Another hospital make kept me going yesterday
I created this bracelet by using lots of different weaves on different small sections of wire and then swirling them in and out of each other. I added some tiny peacock pearls a charoite and an amethyst. I used copper wire as my weaving wire and silver plated wire as my base to add a bit of contrast/sparkle. Hope you like
Here is my latest item, a wire wrapped black agate slice. I used copper and silver coloured wire. There are bits of it that I'm not totally happy with but considering it was made whilst I'm in hospital ill and with shakey hands thanks to nebulisers I'm happy with it, hope you like!
