11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Commissioned wolf purse for 7 year old girl on: November 12, 2016 05:03:27 PM
My friend couldn't find anything for her niece that had Wolves on it...so she asked me to make one. Her niece is obsessed with Wolves. It's a little lined purse with a vintage lace moon, a wolf that I hand painted and appliqud, and a pretty rose that I sewed by just flipping the fabric as I turned the corners. Turns out she's super happy with it and is super pumped to give it to her niece for Christmas. So, in the end, I'm a happy girl  Wink
12  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Custom elf on the shelf siblings! on: November 10, 2016 12:06:03 PM
I had someone reach out to me and ask me to make them some elves on the shelves (?) for her three kids and these were the outcomes! They stand about 9" tall. They have button-jointed arms and are full poseable by way of wire in their limbs.

All designs are my own

13  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Countdown to Christmas sign! on: November 07, 2016 01:56:21 PM
For the second year in a row, my friend and i have gotten together to get Christmas crafting! This year it was countdown to Christmas signs. I've been a fan of the 'Coca-Cola' style Santa forever so I win with that as my theme. Pretty happy with how he turned out. I like things to be magical for my kids...Santa and glitter are good for that  Grin

14  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / I've been on a doll making spree! on: November 04, 2016 03:40:58 PM
I've made 10 dolls in the last few weeks. They've been all different sizes, but I've discovered that I like these tiny 8.5" ones the most. All designs and patterns are my own Smiley
15  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Meet Eccentric Walter who loves Haiku and Starbucks on: October 18, 2016 04:04:39 PM
It been having some fun with dolls lately. Drafting patterns and such. Seeing where it takes me. This is Walter. He's about a foot tall and is fully jointed and pliable and hand-painted. He's my daughter's second-best friend (Zoey is her bff - I wil post pics of her and Zoey later).
16  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / my niece's first Christmas present! on: October 13, 2016 07:06:05 PM
My sister had a baby in July, and since this will be my niece's first Christmas, I had to make the present special. The doll itself was just a sort of 'eyeball, cut, and sew' and I drafted the clothing to fit her once she was assembled and stuffed. She is wearing a pretty seersucker collared pinafore, bloomers, and wool pea coat, crocheted socks, hat, and cowl, and little leather boots that I made from an old coat of mine! I like how she turned out Smiley
17  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / My Daryl Dixon Walking Dead hand painted pumpkin on: October 10, 2016 04:16:27 PM
I've been painting my pumpkins for the last couple of years. This year, I dedicate my pumpkin to Norman Reedus (aka Daryl Dixon). I love the Walking Dead and I can't WAIT until the season premiere. Can you tell?
18  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A 16x20" tattooed mermaid painting on: September 11, 2016 04:37:04 PM
I haven't posted in quite some time, but I have been on a very creative streak for a long time, working woth mostly water colours. This time I deviated and painted with acrylics.  I've been working on her for 3 days and I'm pretty happy with how she turned out!

19  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Tiny water colour fairy painting printed into a huge poster! on: June 23, 2016 07:07:24 PM
I painted a tiny little fairy piece on water colour paper (pictured on right) and took it to my friend who printed it onto 25.25x33.5" glossy paper. I love how it turned out. I didn't alter the image digitally at all, so I'm shocked at how clear and colourful it looks...especially given that all I did was take a picture with my iPhone and emailed it to her!

20  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Fancy snail mail for a friend who moved away on: June 14, 2016 04:39:52 AM
I decided to create some fun snail mail for my friend who moved away. So much more exciting than texts or email! I just sketched it in pencil and coloured it with my beloved copic-style markers ☺️ At the last minute, I decided that the back was too plain and I added an oyster with a gem pearl  Grin
