211  A Message from Flo - more 8 track art! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by FoxyBlue on: February 26, 2011 04:46:49 PM
So last year, I started painting on 8 tracks. They're a great little canvas. They sit well on shelves, and most of them even have a little hole in both top corners at the back for hanging! I buy them at Goodwill for twenty five cents each..

This one's called 'A Message from Flo' because the paper that I painted the image on is from a little vintage book that I bought at an estate sale in Australia in November and it has a little poem about about a little girl named Flo.

Thanks for looking!

212  A protection & love talisman for my niece's 15th birthday in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by FoxyBlue on: February 06, 2011 05:56:32 PM
I made this little mixed media piece with all sorts of good stuff. Sweet grass arms with leather arm bands, a shell I found in Italy, vintage jewellery, a love pendant...

I'm going to pop her in the mail tomorrow! The pic's not so good, but you get the idea Smiley

My son had some old prints plaque mounted on little 8x8 inch boards. I used this as my 'canvas' for this painting.

I modified her a little. Gave her more personality Smiley

219  Glickenstoffer - keeper of secrets (and buttons) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by FoxyBlue on: January 13, 2011 02:37:25 PM
Glickenstoffer is a keeper of secrets (and buttons or whatever else you place into his glass jar). He's the one friend that is completely true. Loyal to a fault, he will take your secrets (or buttons or whatever else) to the grave...which is a long time, since he's immortal!

He's around 7 inches tall and he's made of paper clay and mixed media. He is a fully functional jar to keep your treasures Smiley

220  Debbie Bliss Rag Doll in Knitting: Completed Projects by FoxyBlue on: January 13, 2011 12:25:33 PM
My daughter has named her 'Lassa' Cheesy I made a few modifications...

Here's the pattern should you like to make it http://www.allaboutyou.com/craft/rag-doll-knitting-pattern/v1 . It was a really odd pattern. It would have been better in the round, but I'm happy with how it turned out Smiley
