311  Re: Back to Hogwarts Gallery in The Swap Gallery by spikefan on: October 12, 2011 11:18:35 AM
I received my package from yzag today and it is awesome!

First thing I saw when I opened my package was this fantastic Hogwarts bag. I absolutely love it and it is so me! It has all the house colors and is lined with a pretty velvety fabric.

Next we have an awesome keychain like one I had pinned. Love it! Already added it to my other keychains.

She also made me a really cool wand. I have made a few for swaps and my daughter but never for myself so I am excited to have my first wand.

An invisible ink quill pen and a pumpkin juice goblet. So cool!

And yes there's more, chocolate wands from Honeydukes and extra halloween stuff, buttons, candy, glass bottles, stickers.

And our daughters made each other a little something as well. Her daughter sent a cute decorated trunk box filled with lots of goodies that my daughter absolutely loved. Gummy spiders, stickers, and a cute witches hat that I am going to add a hairclip to so she can wear it.

Thanks so much for the fun and wonderful package yzag! I love everything! Grin

Details of swap:

This swap is for fans of Tim Burton movies, whether you are a fan of one, a few or love them all. This will be a 5pt swap. Below is a suggested guide to the points system. You are required to craft at least one large OR one medium. There is a space on the questionnaire to say that you're interested in a bigger swap but it's no guarantee that you'll be matched with someone who also wants to craft more.

Please do not join if you are not willing to communicate once a week on the thread. It does not have to be a long post but at least update your partner and myself.  If your feedback reflects lots of non-communication, non-posting of pics, etc. I may decide you are not able to swap in this swap. I want this to be a fun and flake-free swap.

If you are new to swapping and/or have not posted crafts please do so as that will help when partnering up. Thanks!

By Points
Large= 3 points
Medium=2 points
Small=1 point

By Time
-Large = 3 or more hours
-Medium = 2 or more hours
-Small = 2 or less hours

316  9th Doctor plushie in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by spikefan on: September 07, 2011 12:07:16 PM
I haven't made anything for myself in a while so I decided to finally make myself a 9th doctor plushie. I love all the doctors but 9 was my first and I think I will always love him just a little bit more than the others.

I used the same pattern that I used to make 10 and 11. I used felt for everything except his jacket which is vinyl. The skin tone is a little darker than in the pic, but I couldn't get it to show up to clearly. Undecided I normally don't put ears on my amigurumis/plushies but how could I not put ears on a 9 doll.  Cheesy Thanks for looking! Grin

320  Jean Grey amigurumi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by spikefan on: August 22, 2011 05:58:27 PM
I made this in the Ongoing Wish swap for phoenixfiredesigns. She wanted a Jean Grey amigurumi so I made this one based on one in her wist. I really like how she turned out. I made her a little smaller than my normal amigurumis. I think she was around 5". Thanks for looking!  Grin
