1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: asymmetrical necklaces on: June 23, 2008 11:39:28 AM
*sigh*

These were so fantastic that I tried to make my own, but it didn't work out nearly as beautiful.  You did a great job.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Tatted and beaded butterfly bracelettes (Black and Hot Pink added) on: June 23, 2008 06:46:24 AM
What beautiful work!  Tatting mystifies me, but this makes me want to give it another go!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Indigo Rose Wrapped Choker in Chain Maille! Gothy! on: June 23, 2008 06:36:47 AM
That is absolutely amazing.  I would love to be able to do chainmail, but I always end up frustrated and throwing things, lol.

Great job!

Aww, the wedding photos made me all misty.  Beautiful necklace, dress, and couple!

That is absolutely amazing.  I love it.
6  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Snowball's Chance in Hell from the Anticraft on: November 05, 2005 04:05:42 PM
the design is done in duplicate stitch and I think that intarsia would be the way to go, so I'll need to chart that, too.

Have you done intarsia before?

Looking at the pattern, the reason for duplicate stitch rather than intarsia is largely because intarsia in the round is an everloving pain in the butt.  If you decide to go that way, though, you wouldn't need to rechart anything.

Also, please tell your casting-on friend that I have some things she can work on, you know, if she's bored...

She is a dream - she's one of my SNB'ers and is always willing to cast on for those of us that hate it!

Well, not ALWAYS, but for you dear.   Wink
8  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Hurry Up Spring Armwarmers on: March 24, 2005 07:59:20 PM
Bethann,

Noro skeins do that a lot.  To get mine to match up exactly, I had to play around with the second skein until it matched the beginning of the first armwarmer.  I've never used 2 skeins of noro that started in the same place.
9  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: felty sweaters=fuzzy slippers on: January 20, 2005 04:03:00 PM
thanks!  It's the first time I've ever free-hand embroidered something so I was really proud of those bits.
