Oh, ya'll.  I received from dontneedaclassroom.  And it is just stupendously lovely.

Here is the total, complete piece:

Stupendously lovely, amiright or amiright???  It's an imagined landscape!  (one of my selection requests)

Let's look closer at all these yummy stitches!

The willow leaves, with different types of birch type trunk stitches. And then different colors and stitches on the main tree.  Man, I would not have thought to do that.  Oy!

The waterfall, those fan flowers, the stair stepping, winding vines, and natural lattice work.  Can you see all the stich types?

Tumbling water using different colored strands.  More fans and organic matter on the shore line.  sweeeeeeettt

But wait! What is this?  A creature is peeping from inside the tree:

Well, hello!  Who are you?  awww.  sew sweet.  Also a close up of her work.  See the lines of green projecting off the white trunks?  (they're over in the middle as well).  I just can't.  Seriously.  I'm so LITERAL when I craft.  But this?  Maybe it seems small, but for me, I struggle with this so much.  And WOWZA, the execution is just utterly perfect.

I had requested non-white background, and non-primary colors, but I NEVER imagined this beautiful piece!  I am so inspired just by looking at it. Which I have done.  VERY VERY CLOSELY. As if I were inspecting something.  CLEARLY IT PASSED INSPECTION.  Some of these stitches are completely new to me - so very impressive.  *happy sigh*  just wonderful

dontneedaclassroom - I cannot express enough how much I love your piece.  Thank you so very much for being so kind and generous with your time and crafting.  I cannot wait for mine to arrive to you.  I hope you like yours when it arrives!

I'm so excited it fit! I have never made something without having the fittable object in front of me (I'm ridiculously bad with ease). I am super stoked you like it!

I made two reversed mandragora, and used batting so it will help with heat retention for the tea. I installed 19 (18?) little snaps to accommodate size at any location for handle, lid, and spout. I also left the leaves unstitched to be loosey-goosey. But looks like it fits well over the belly! In a worst case, they could be placemats or weird doilies inspired by gaming.

I struggle with paint, so all your details (in both pieces) are really appreciated. I like to see how you handled certain aspects (like bleeding the paint over into the printed piece, blurring the line so well!). Thank you so much! The Yarn Dragon redux is just fantastic. I can feel myself cyclying back into fiber as I type!

I received from smileyyogini today! It was such a welcome surprise, as I confess I was having a bit of a rough go. So I left the unopened package on my desk as a happy 'survived the inundation' Tuesday!

And look what happy, lovely, sweet, precious gift she made me:

It's a stylized Nessie painted monster box! I just adore anthropomorphic beings and these remind me of Stephen Cosgrove. They are very endearing. I couldn't stop looking at the detail. Funny, I didn't know I wanted this until I held it in my hands.

She even painted the sides with complimentary pastel sky layers:

Do you see all the non-primary colors? Ohhhhhh, baby! And in a functional object!

Inside the storage box, smileyyogini also sent a wonderful Yarn Dragon painted on a canvas tote:

I want to lock in all the detail, so will hit the image with a fabric safe clear coat. I would be very sad if I ruin the paint detail, and definitely plan on using it. Can you see all the highs and lows, with soft shading? The lady is uber skilled!

Thank you so much, smileyyogini, for sending two really thoughtfully crafted items. I wish I would have doubled down as well, and am now desperate to know if mine even fits!

You were a wonderful partner - I hope you give them their own posts. I have enjoyed connecting with you!

I received from MareMare!  She called it 'Acid Swamp Flower'.

I am a HUGE fan of non-primary colors, and this is definitely my kind of color pallet!

Each petal is a different type of stitching, or fabric manipulation

I'm amazed at all the options she crafted into this happy little flower

Some of the layers have layers!

MareMare used textures of all the same color family.

And then she invited some distant color relatives!

Buuuuut, that wasn't quite enough! Cuz then she threw in all the different stitch patterns! *sigh*

Super dreamy.

She also sent a bar of her handmade orange dreamscicle soap.

It really does smell like an orange dream!  If you're not sure what that smells like, you should totally order a bar (or two!) from her!

Thank you, so much, MareMare, for the wonderful MAQ. Truly lovely!

That May Pole makes me want to lose my mind! I'm floored by the distinct small bodies. And the code is such an undercover nod! Impressive!

So relieved my second partner received! Oh Canadian mail, you fickle beast!

I have no idea what that rusty bit is...but I had to laugh because JoyfulClover put that she would be find with a rusty nail on anything...this was in homage to her theme...I find rusty things daily since my office complex is near a construction company...walks outside allow me to find everything from money to "stuff"..ha ha

I had forgotten until you typed this, but I TOTALLY SAID THIS! I have such a love for rusty bits, and am jelly you have a access to a plethora of rusty gold! I used up every one of my rusty nails on my assemblage art piece for geekgirl1000100, and have already started collecting again. I walk a lot with my head down, looking for random pieces. My friends don't even think it's weird anymore.

Here's a close-up:

I always think others' work is so interesting. I love how the disk isn't completely surrounded, but only enough to attach it. I think of would have gone more obvious, and clearly would have been wrong, wrong, wrong. I also love the green stiches expanding our and over the blue. These are the small details which make pieces breathe life.
