1  cheap new floor for my bathroom in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by Bailey on: July 29, 2008 07:29:21 PM
Right, so I kind of live in a dump. I'm okay with this, because I'm a student and my apartment location is awesome. My landlady is super-cool, but the building I live in is really old and in need of many updates. My bathroom floor appears to be rotting, it's totally gross.

So, I went to Dollarama and bought some vinyl adhesive back tiles (three for a dollar). I didn't want to stick them directly to the floor, since I don't own the place and it isn't exactly a permanent fix. So I bought a plastic table cloth, flattened and taped it to the rotting floor, and then stuck the vinyl on top of that. You can lift it up at any edge, but strategically-placed bath mats make it look like the real thing!

I forgot to take a really good before picture, but here's an idea of what it was like:

And here it is now:

Now, if I could only get rid of the awful pink tile on the wall.

2  yellow dress with bubble hem in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Bailey on: July 13, 2008 01:26:18 PM
I made this dress for a wedding I'm attending in two weeks. I had a dress in mind for a long time, and since I couldn't find what I wanted, I had to make it. Smiley I used Simplicity 4070.

It still needs a final press.

And these are the shoes I'll probably wear:

Let me know what you think. Personally, I think it's a little plain, I need some suggestions as to what I can do to jazz this baby up! Thanks gang!

4  Re: Show me your craft "room"!! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by Bailey on: June 17, 2005 01:50:50 PM
My crafting area is just a corner of the TV room in the basement.

It was really clean that night, so I had to take a picture.

5  Magazine to clutch for the spy in all of us! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Bailey on: June 10, 2005 02:05:56 PM
It pretty much speaks for itself.

It's not quite finished, I need to put some adheisive velcro on the inside. The idea is that its supposed to look like you're just holding a buckled magazine. This was really just a practice, the next one should be even more inconspicuous than the last!

6  Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Img. Heavy. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Bailey on: June 07, 2005 08:21:18 PM
It's my reversible jordy!

It was my first try at a reversible one, it's pretty basic, but I'm proud. Too bad I don't like Spongebob all that much. haha.

8  Skirt and Shirt (I'm very proud) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Bailey on: March 05, 2005 10:25:55 PM
teeny Zep shirt + teeny purple shirt + 2(Scraps of Dad's old shirt) = Most fun I've had with a shirt in a long time.

AND! A pillowcase skirt, that needs to be dyed or otherwise spiced up (it's very see-through).

9  Re: Slutty & Bloody-fied Nurse Costume! in Halloween Costumes by Bailey on: November 07, 2004 06:53:24 PM
I was a nurse too! But not bloody. Here's my costume:

Not the most flattering picture but it shows the full costume.

Here's how I did it:

I got a old nurse uniform from the thrift shop, sized it to fit, than cut out thie part shaded grey in this sketch:

I fixed up the sleeves a bit also, so that they wouldn't look out of place. Finally, I cut the cross out of an old t-shirt. The hat is just made from bristol board with a little hair comb hot-glued to the back.
