1  Re: old crappy beads, new crappy beads... in What the heck can I do with THIS? by bastet on: January 22, 2008 02:46:34 AM
I had loads of old beads too. I even had inheriteded beads from my greatgrandmother...
I did crochet-necklaces from them. First I stringed about 2-3 meters of pearls on a fishing-line wich is much thinner then hemp-string. Then I startet to crochet three to five chain stitches and one stitch with the pearls withing and so forth. After corcheting about 40 to 50 centimeter I cut it off and startet the next string. After having done 6 to 8 strings I braided the strings together, glued a lock on each end and had a necklace.
