1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Sewing Up Your Hair on: January 12, 2012 08:51:46 AM
I can't believe I haven't seen this post before.  I am always fighting the fight against hair.  Not just mine either, but those of my cats.  It doesn't matter if I'm crocheting, knitting or sewing.  If you receive something from me, it probably has my hair in it!  I have also heard that story that it's good luck to sew in a piece of your hair if you're making something for someone you love.  I always tell myself that for comfort.  Cheesy

Last night I made brownies, but I wanted to put a mint glaze icing on it that need to be in the fridge, so first i had to take them out of the metal pan they were in.  Of course it doesn't come out like a cake, it came out in big chunks, which I sort of tried to put together and just ended up squishing everything and then pouring the glaze on.  Ugly? You betcha!  Tasty?  Absolutely!  Cheesy

OMG, Lady Pistola, LOL.  I am horrified that you did that!!!  Your mom must have unbelievable self control that you're here to tell the tale, lol.  Wow.  I may have a nightmare about that tonight.

Demi, maybe some of those see through stackable boxes would be a good idea for your dorm room.  I use several in my craft room and they are a real life safer for the terminally unorganized, lol.

This year I have gone through about 10 stitch counters.  It was really driving me crazy, I would literally be sitting and knitting and suddenly my counter was gone.  They were even disappearing from my sewing box when I had it sitting next to me.  Then yesterday I was vacuuming and decided to move the radiator covers to do a proper job, and there were ALL my stitch counters, lol.  I assume the cats were stealthily taking them right from under my nose!
