I hope you feel better Tsuki_Tsubasa. What a twit he must be.

It is sad about Heath Ledger. Makes me remember River Phoenix. Cry

Ugh, I hate sending late, but I think I'm going to have to as I'm having trouble finding a box that will fit the awkwardly shaped object.
Sounds fun. Don't worry about being late, coming from NZ it will still get here pretty quick. Cheesy

So no, this isn't the one i tried tinting resin on. This is a blue polyclay heart (cut with a cookie cutter).  I used white glue to glue the pic on, then white glue on front of the pic and over the exposed clay, then resin over top.
Do you mean that you just paint the resin over the top? Does it need a thick layer and how long does it need to cure?
Thanks

Shocked Shocked Shocked I love the totoro earrings and the zippered pouch!!! They look so professional! How did you make the earrings Harvey?
They are resin earrings with photo printed pictures. My first attempt. Cheesy
I also made a pair for myself with different pictures and a key ring each for my kids. We all love Totoro. Cheesy

This is it.
I posted it on the Miyazaki All Year 'Round Craft Along. When I did the modpodge coating to seal it the pink paint which had leached into the wood seeped through the white paint and wrecked it.Cry

I always get swappers anxiety. Tongue The biggest prob is that I don't stop after the package has been received. Undecided
1367  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: Use of "real" names in swaps. on: January 15, 2008 11:25:02 PM
I just consider it polite to use the username when writing to the list. In fact it has become such a habit that I have a hard time using my own name and others in pms. I don't have a problem if someone else does, I just see from my side that if we have usernames that they are there to be used. Cheesy

I made these for the Miyasaki swap, but didn't send them because they were ruined at the end. I took a set of nesting dolls and striped them back. Then I repainted them as the three Totoros and a soot sprite. The original pain job had been bright pink and had leached into the wood. Everything was okay until I used modpodge to seal it, then the pink leached through the white a bit. My family loves them but I didn't want to send them with this problem. I still think the idea was cool though.

Huh Tongue Roll Eyes Although I am going well I like to have plenty of time up my sleeve. I kept thinking the send-out for this was the 21st - that was the send-out for the Miyasaki swap, which I sent early. Then I actually looked at the title for this thread and my brain went back into gear. I think it was the fact that we were waiting for both swaps to happen for so long and then they were so close together, I got really confused. Tongue

The orange one made me think of Ludo from Labirynth. Cheesy
