31  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Mrs. Darcy KAL on: July 24, 2007 01:36:51 PM
So I got about half way through the back, and I was holding  the sides up to it, just to see how it would look, and I noticed the ribbing was off, just like lulubird (only my yarn is pretty simple, so it was painstakingly obvious)!  I counted the rows, and the back was indeed off from the front!  I looked at the pattern, and it wasn't just my own mistake!  The back calls for 13 rows of stockinette before ribbing, while the front only uses 12.  Also, the back has 17 rows of ribbing, while the front has 16!

Now I must frog all of the ribbing, and reknit...

All I have to do is finish the back, and then it's on to finishing!!

I have long admired this pattern, but have yet to cast on, due to a lack of small needles (In the past, I simply avoided patterns requiring a needle smaller than a 6...).  Hopefully with the help of this KAL, I can finally branch out.

I got about halfway through this piece before finding this KAL, and I wish I found it so much sooner!  I love this pattern, and am using Plymouth's Encore in an amazing turquoise color.  All I have left is the back and a sleeve, and cannot wait to finish!
