I can't wait to see everyone's take on this theme!

I am going to start this gallery off with an avalanche of planty goodness! Because some people *cough*- Laura -*cough* do not know the meaning of one medium and one small. Seriously, look at this giant pile of packages!

Everything was neatly wrapped in colour appropriate tissue and strung together with string and tape. Numbered too!

K, first up is this full sized binder pocket insert. It is honestly the cutest cacti fabric in the universe. You did an awesome job with the stitching and the GROMETS! Beautifully done my friend.

Inside the pouch was something I love to receive because I like sending a nice card with swap items and these are gorgeous. I was tempted to include a photo of each one individually but that would make this a VERY long post, lol.

Next up are these really cute embossed tags, one shows what's on the back of all of them. And the clear window pouch? I know a daughter who would love that but she is not getting it off me, no way no how. It is adorable and is going straight into my purse. I love it! She can have the lettuce pin. Maybe.

That is all more than enough times two but there's more! This completely charming hoop with a CATcus, haha.

I really like how the texture of the fabric looks different on each coloured part. That's really neat.

And, because she's an over-the-top kinda gal, not one but THREE extras.

This guy cracks me up :D.

Thank you so much! I sent you a paltry amount of items in return, boo. I will say though that I made 7 mediums and combined them into one so sort of balances out? Nah, I'll have to hit ya with something extra special along with your masterboards (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=458451.0).

Thanks PB for organizing such a great swap! XO to you both <3

That cactus guy cracked me up, too!! And, when I saw the CATcus design on Urban Threads, I just knew I had to stitch it up. It cracks me up! endymion likes that cactus fabric, too. I sent it to both her and kittykill in the MAF swap, and endymion used it on a pillow she crocheted me! She got it at Hobby Lobby; I got it on Etsy.

I had to spoil you; We'd never been officially partnered before AND when you send internationally, it had better be worth the postage! ha!  I'm really glad you like the clear zip pouch. That was a new to me technique and fun to learn!

Here are all the cards; I put them into a collage:

(The pretty flowers on the cards were sent to me by a friend who kindly gifted me several of her stamps as well.)

The cactus cutout were done with my BigShot.

So...craftylittlemonkey was worried that because I sent more "items" than her that somehow hers did not add up.  She's kidding herself because you guys. I received my package today and IT. IS. SO BEAUTIFUL. AND. SO. AWESOME.

Everything all together:

How funny we sent each other cactus erasers! A fun "Can't Touch This" note pad, (not pictured) a fun little page of drawings to help me recognize my plants, and a BAG! I LOVE reusable bags.

You guys. These were just extras!!

Look at this beautiful display of succulents I can display on a shelf. We'll probably finagle a hanging system since shelf space is limited, though.

I squealed. Did you squeal too? It is so pretty! And, there are so many! I used to crochet a lot. This took some time! Wow! I think I really like the one with the white edges. It really makes it pop!

Another view:

Thank you so much Tisha! I really really love it! I recently killed a cactus and I think I'm killing some succulents (I just haven't figured how where to keep them!) so I know these will never die!

Thanks Jessica for a wonderful swap. Such a great theme.

YAY! It got there so fast! Glad you like it Laura, it really was a ton of hooking but I wanted to use all the colours to make all the cacti, each shape was more irresistible than the last! The white-edged leaves were the thing I felt least confident about so I'm extra happy to hear you like them especially. I hope you'll share a photo of the diagram explaining what they are all called. I drew that late the night before shipping and forgot to take one, d'oh. Isn't that always the way?

I think you could find a way to hang the container but it also might be narrow enough to sit on a windowsill, I was thinking it might do when I chose it for you since you mentioned not having loads of shelf space.

And ya, I laughed when I saw the erasers you sent :D. I thought, well at least I know she'll like the ones I sent her too :D.

What an awesome swap this is so far, I am super looking forward to the rest of the gallery!

Succelents need full sun and only need to be watered once a week.  I have several growing.  DS's former boyfriend was really into these type of plants so I received a few.

CLM, I ADORE that crocheted succulent garden!  I need to try making one.  It's the only amigurumi I like.   ::)

Stickers, a face mask, cute lunch tote, a pin and awesome cactus candy!

The prettiest garland! I just love the colors, the roses and of course the cacti!

And I just realized I didn't take a pic of the super cute cactus totebag she made. SOOOOOO....I need to go do that now! ]]\]

Thank you SO much! Everything is just perfect.

I just had my popsicle break interrupted by the mail lady with a fantastic package from kittykill.

First up, she stitched and colored a throw pillow with monstera leaves!

Also, an adorable tea towel with the happiest cactuses!

Closeup thumbnails because they are too cute not to.

And fantastic extras - violet seeds, a little pot for a baby plant, pretty coaster, suction cup air plant, and the most perfect book ever about growing plants from window scraps.

Thank you so much!!

Kittykill goes and spoils again! What a wonderful package. I adore the sweet little cacti. And a suction cup air plant...I need to look into those! Well done.

They look like Turkish Delights. They are sweet with a fresh taste-if that makes any sense.

The embroidered cactus tea towels are SO frikken cute, ack, I can't even stand it!

The cacti on the tote look awesome! Are the stamps or stencils? Love that orange with the greens and blues.

Title: Re: I love Houseplants Swap Gallery

Cactus candy is made from prickly pear fruits, and they are so sweet and delicious! When I visited Arizona I found prickly pear licorice, taffy, gum, jam, and syrup. And I got prickly pear lemonade some where.

The tote is stenciled - it was actually my first time stenciling fabric. I did add fabric medium to the paint and set it, so it should be totally washable, if you need to do that.

My package from LFF came in on Saturday and it was FULL of goodies! She definitely spoiled me ;D

First of all, there was an impenetrable layer of plant-themed wrapping paper (protected by loads of tape) on the outside of the package, so it was so exciting to come home to :)

LFF sent sooo many things! Here's the big pile of treasures all together!

She sent stamped plant markers, a saucer, with a leaf pressing, and a super fun feather accent for my houseplants:

A bajillion "antique gold" animal figures (which all have already made their homes among my plant friends :D)

And the giant T-rex planter to match! This guy roooocks!! I have three dinosaur planters now and they are all different ;D

And of course, what's a swap between two fiber lovers without a bit of fiber fun? She sent me some gorgeous green fiber that I will for sure be putting to good use <3

Thank you for being such a fantastic partner, LeapFeetFirst!!

I received my wonderful package from bec99 last week & am able to finally post the pics.

She cross-stitched a couple of nice cards: a cactus & a vine:

A pretty cross-stitched african violet on a small canvas backing:

And my favorite of all , my very own crocheted cactus!

Thanks so much, bec99! I love all the things you made for me!

A CUTE little mushroom magnet.
THIS LIL GUY GLOWS IN THE DARK.

Prayer flag/bunting
THIS ALSO GLOWS IN THE DARK.

Socks

Thank you so much. I had fun and this packaged really brightened up a rough couple of weeks.

You all make such lovely things. It was nice to see everyone have fun with this.

I received the coolest package from PerfectlyBohemian! It is full of my two favorite things- plants and fibery goodness.

First up is a set of amazing airplant canvases with the pouches made from felted fiber. I have been curious about airplants for a while, so I am super excited about having some! I've already hung these up all over my house!

PerfectlyBohemian also created the most perfect felted artwork for me as well! I love the colors and the textures and it fits in perfectly with the mid-century vibe I am trying to create in my home.

Look at all this texture!!

Here it is in it's new home in my kitchen.

PerfectlyBohemian also send me a bunch of succulent cuttings that I can't wait to propagate!

Thanks so much for everything. I truly love it all.

WOW that felting is wonderful! How cheerful it must make your kitchen! I wonder if I'd be able to keep air plants alive? I would never have thought to make felted hangers for them. That's what one of the best things about swapping.

So many great things in this gallery.

HOLY CANNOLI!!!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o  I love all of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What a great idea for the felted "pots" for the air plants!!!!

I do have one question, and I've had it for awhile...how do you know/how can you tell when air plants are dead?  ???

The airplants that Perfectly Bohemian sent me where a little brown on the edges, but I dunked them in water from my rain barrel ( as indicated by the wonderful instructions included in the package she sent me) and they turned green right away. I think it takes quite a bit to kill them.

OMG that golden dino planter is TOO MUCH FUN! Love it!

Those teensy wee cross stitched cards are amazing. I have a pile of aida in the give-away box that is going back to the studio with me. I am totally stealing that awesome idea.

Love the GROW flags! Love!

That felted art work is so very. The cross-wise fern really lends to the post-modern vibe so perfectly. Great texture and colour. An all around "WOW".

I haven't had any luck keeping air plants alive. Sad but true.

I was actually worried the airplants would get baked with how hot the weather is, so I'm really glad you were able to revive them! They looked much happier before I sent them compared to your received pictures, so I was terrified I gave them a death sentence.

Dino pots! Crochet cactus! Grow prayer flags! Cool plant socks! All that felting!

I think this is why subject themed swaps are my favorite. We get to see such a cool variety of crafting.

I received a lovely package from StainedMushroom! She actually managed to mail me plants, I was very impressed!
The pots she painted, and then once I planted the wee baby jades and century plants.

She also sent this aloe, and all of these packets of seeds and stickers:

Some really pretty art! It's now on my pin board; I love the coppery bit with the purple!

And because I'm somehow not spoiled enough already, a pretty rainbow spinner and a nice little home for my air plants.

Even the cat enjoyed your packaging. Thank you so much!

Hooray! I always get so nervous when sending out.  For reference, here is a picture of what the full grown Century cactus and aloe look like.

This is a 45 year old century cactus. The ones I sent you are from one of my younger ones that I got from this big ole guy.

This is my room mates aloe, it's flowering right now which is super neat. That aloe is a pup from that one.

They get really big if you let them!

I can't seem to keep plants alive in my home  and look at all those you mailed a bunch! How cool you get StainedMushroom's "babies."

After seeing all these air plants, Inthink I definitely need to try my own.
