Title: Striped & marbled eggs
Post by: craftylittlemonkey on April 21, 2019 03:40:27 PM
The striped ones are easy, they are just made with a rubber band. For the speckled eggs you do a solid colour base coat then stir some oil into another colour and roll the egg in that. We should have used a bit more oil but I still like how they turned out.

These are the "special" ones the kids want to take home.

And these are the rest! My aunt goes a little crazy :D.

Thanks friends :). They aren't super fancy but they were fun. We'll save the egg shells for our garden this year. They look so pretty sprinkled in with the plants, they add calcium to the soil & keep away slugs too.

and very practical that you use the shells in the garden.

Very pretty! I like the idea of using rubber bands as a resist pattern. :)
