Have a Holly Jolly Gallery...

Post pics of what you receive! If what you received is wrapped beautifully/creatively, show us that, too!  ;D

I believe I was the first to receive my awesome package all the way from Texas!

Here is a collage of the items I received....with my favorite...a hoop that is coffee-related!!!  I collect these and am so excited to have a wall of coffee hoops!

I also received the loveliest tiny notecards with watercolor flowers...a geeky book-related art piece that I am framing for my library...some papers and , this is odd, but so welcomed, a bag of blue stones...seriously, I am adding them to my collection of these as well and have no idea how my secret santa knew about these...I have them everywhere...

Any guesses as to who my Secret Santa is?  I think I know, but I am going to wait until the end of the swap to reveal...unless she wants to take credit now! lol

Squee! I love those teeny flower cards! The stitching on the hoop is just lovely too, my favourite style. The figure on the books is super cute. Funny about the blue stones, a clever stalker sent you that great package ;).

It was so weird because I am downsizing and found a bunch of the blue stones and put them into a special container made by my friend MissingWillow...I also have them scattered in my birdbath and flower pots...it would have taken random luck or excellent stalking! lol

I recieved! My secret santa claimed for my dd, so I'll let her open her gift.. She also sent a cute purse size tissue pape and an adorable candy cane ornament, which is just too cute!

Thank you secret santa!

Edited to add: my pics aren't showing up :(

I like the style of that coffee hoop! Is that stitching around the mug that almost looks like drawing?

It totally is! I so like the look of that sort of free motion stitching. I suck at it but I keep trying because it looks so awesome when somebody gets it right. It's just sketchy and pretty and great. Total love <3.

I received 2 ama omg secret Santa packages this week!

The first package had The Christmas Story ornaments. They made me laugh, they are so wonderful! They are in amazing little frames! I also got some buttons (I am in love with buttons!!), cross stitch fabric, and a buttferfly tool (which I forgot to take a picture of, I guess). Thank you so much, secret Santa!

Next up I got a package of 3 beautiful bird nest bracelets! Iíve been eyeing these for a long time but I just never find time to make myself stuff. I love them so much!  The colors are beautiful!  Thanks, secret Santa!!

Since other people were opening, I went ahead and caved and opened mine.

I got two lovely wrapped packages...

The first one was lovely yarn with a really interesting composition - there's soysilk and chitin in it!

I'm planning to make this shawl with it:

The second package was a tentacle ring!  (Sorry for the black and white, it was the only way I could get the tiny suckers to show up properly!)  I've already worn this the last few days, even though it's probably not strictly "work appropriate". :)

Thank you to both these Secret Santas!!

Those Christmas Story hoops are so fun!  I am very curious as to which Secret Santa made those beauties!

Also, the birdnest bracelets are going on my future lists!  They are fabulous.  I love "hippie"/natural jewelry like that!

The octopus ring is stunning!!! Very unique!

fishstix43---that shawl is GORGEOUS!  A bit complex for my skill level...I am think that yarn is going to make it beautiful!

There are some very talented and generous Santas in this swap...and it is fun to try and guess who each one is (and I suck at it because it could be so many...)

The talent here is amazing! I can't wait to see more.

I received a package from "Bubbles"! I'm 99% sure I know who you are, Bubbles. ;) I am over the moon with this gift. It's so meaningful to me and just the cutest!

But first, BUTTONS!

And this perfect, perfect ornament. I LOVE it. I can't put into words how great this is.

The back story: When my husband and I had been dating a few months, he kissed me after eating a bunch of dill pickles (which I haaaate). I said something along the lines of "I hate pickles! But I ..... like .... you," and totally panicked because I'd nearly dropped the "L" bomb and didn't know if he was ready for it. He hugged me and said "You don't need to be nervous, because I love you." It was the first time we said "I love you" to eachother, and due to the circumstances I started calling him Pickle. He called me Cracker, because in addition to being a little, well, "crackers", it sounded better than calling me Cheese. ;)

I think this ornament may stay out year round, and not be hidden in storage each year until Christmas. Thank you, Santa, I can't tell you how perfect it is.  :-*

Arenít we supposed to reveal who we are when we send the item, somewhere in the package?  I hope so, because thatís what Iíve been doing.

I think it's optional-- you can choose to be sneaky or choose to reveal as you prefer.  :)

I think my return address/postmark gives me away, but I didn't put anything in the package, though you certainly can!

I thought about putting an out-of-state relative's return address, just to confuse people, because worse case at least someone I know would get the package returned! But I didn't. Or did I? ;)

Alwaysinmyroom - so jealous of that hoop and the watercolor flowers, sooooo pretty!

Jillybeans - I love love love those Christmas hoops/ornaments. So cute!

Fishstix43 - ooooh, that yarn looks intriguing, and good luck with the shawl pattern, it looks like it will be gorgeous. And that ring! I covet, I do!

Fluffypants - such a sweet story and a thoughtful present!

awww....what a very personal and meaningful ornament...your Secret Santa is also sentimental! awwww....

I hope all of the secret santas will be revealed at the end of the swap!!!  I am not going to say who I am..besides, it was my elves that did all of the work...

Received from "bubbles"  (is it the same "bubbles" as just sent to LadybugsAndBumblebees? The same "bubbles" as I just claimed? Some other "bubbles" entirely?  Only the organizers can say for sure...)

Anyway, I rudely opened the envelope immediately & since there wasn't gift wrap, here's what was inside. :)

A woodsy acorn necklace, a bag of felt beads to play with, and a lovely oak leaf & acorn ornament.  <3<3<3

Now I am really confused....too many bubbles for me to try to sort it out...

So.......ummm.........my Secret Santa pointed out that I had not actually gotten the main thing out of the second package (!!!!!!!)  Luckily I still had what I thought was just the packaging out on the kitchen table, otherwise I would have felt TERRIBLE!  She also sent a Tree of Life necklace!

Thank you so much, and so sorry to give you a scare!  I'm going to blame the cold medicine - I've been stuffy and mind-foggy all week, but I'll make sure to be more diligent about thoroughly checking the packages! :o

I know-- and I can't believe it only just occurred to me that I could pick someone else's code-name at random off the list to re-use.    :D

Ooh, the tree of life is lovely too-- I'm glad it didn't get lost in the packaging!!

Secret Santas visited my house twice this weekend!

I got a package from "bubbles" and then from......not saying, but I know!  :D  You guys guys guess...it will be revealed in the end!

From Bubbles: a fantastic prayer flag, an issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors (ha ha to help me with my papercrafting that I have been lamenting about!), and a cute card!  Hint:  the back of the prayer flag is indigo dyed fabric...ha ha ha perfect!

Next, from NYC (that is a hint), a package that means so much to me...notecards made with help from a craftster child, now a young lady, and craftster herself!: red/white, and blue scraps for my Wounded Warrior quilts...a card with a personal and heartwarming memory, a sweet candy cane ornament, and lots of love!

Nicely wrapped!

Thanks you both!

I took some close-ups of my favorite cards but they turned out blurry, so I will retake them tomorrow morning...they are quite inspirational...and so me!!!

I received from 2 of my Secret Santas as well.  And they both spoiled the heck outta me!  Thank you both for the lovely cards!  I'm going to add them to our wall of cards this year. :)

First off I received this lovely gift to donate to charity!  75 amazing wish bracelets!  Talk about perfect timing because we also received the IRS determination letter establishing Small Things Matter as a 501(3)c on the same day!  :)  Secret Santa you are going to be the first person that I can send a donation letter to so that you can claim it on your taxes and you can qualify to be a STM partner!  Thank you so much for your kindness! :)

My Secret Santa also sent this lovely gift for Lana.  Lana wants to wait till Christmas to open it.  She's killing me.  I don't want to wait.  I was tempted to take it somewhere and upwrap it and then rewrap it.  Thank you for spoiling us!

My second Secret Santa spoiled us as well.  I squealed as soon as I saw the pouch.  I loved this idea and I am now a proud owner of one of her famous house pouches.  What was inside was equally lovely....a little shroom ornament. He is so kawaii and we can't wait to add him to our Christmas tree!

Thank you both sooo much!!
xxRox & Lana

Oh, what lovely gifts!  I love the house pouch...

and wow, 75 bracelets?  That is an awesome and very generous gift to honor the spirit of the season!

Lana has more patience and control than we do...lol...I ripped into my packages without a second thought...me wait?  NOOOOOO!

I received from two Secret Santas today!

First, from "decorative gourds"

What is in this adorable pumpkin pouch, you ask?

Oh my goodness, aren't those adorable embroidered pumpkins?! I haven't decided if I'm going to put them in hoops for my hoop wall, or incorporate them into something else. But they're so nice I'm going to be sure before I do anything.

And that's not it!

Pumpkin themed double pointed knitting needle holders! These are so handy and awesome! Whoooo! Thank you thank you!

And from the ubiquitous bubbles...

(Note the pumpkin censoring - doesn't everyone have pumpkin-shaped potpourri on their desks at work?)  Origami paper is so so me, I go through a lot if it between the cranes and gift boxes I fold!

Santa said they didn't know why they got these when they did, but after seeing my pinterest, knew I would appreciate them. And boy do I! I did almost kill a co-worker, though, in my excitement I showed them to her while she was eating and she almost choked with laughter.

And look at the wee fox embroidery and the pumpkin buttons! How awesome! Thank you so so much, it's all so perfect!

I feel bad about my packages now, with how well my Secret Santas got me just right. You guys are awesome!

I love everything in here. I wish I'd had time to make some things for all of the charities, you guys are the best doing that, the BEST!

Love those knitting needles holders!  Putting those on my list for future swaps...how useful and pretty!!

Smeddley is the pumpkin queen....she deserves all of those pumpkin goodies!

omg--the socks...and the wee fox!

Santa is quite the "fellow" this year!!!

I'm so used to doing the "big" swaps, that the simplicity of this swap is wonderful.

A lot of work and thought is being put into the few items we are sending to each other in the packages.

It's fun not knowing when a package might turn up in the mail!   ;D

I'm sorry for not posting photos of what I received from "Bubbles"...life has been hitting me hard lately, but I will leave myself a note by the computer to do it.

First up a sweet package from Canada!  Cute little tin set with a princess and the pea theme.  Lots of colorful mattresses for this princess to lay on!  Buttons and oragami! (not sure what's wrong with my picture but at least you can see the many mattresses.)

The next package from VA.  Super cute felt hand bound book and a mini coloring book!  So cute!  My daughter loooooves everything!  We couldn't wait till Christmas

Thanks so much guys!!

I also love getting little unexpected things in the mail!  I sometimes feel ridiculous getting excited over little fabric squares, buttons, and etc. but it makes me so happy!

Love the little TM patches...and the tiny clothespins!!! So cute!

The tin doll and her mattresses is so fun for a kiddo!

The little fox book is adorable, too!

I love this time of year!

That Bubbles is Santa's number one elf! Look at the cuteness I received!

I decided to frame the cards. They are so stinking cute! The little tea sachets smell like lavender and the zipper purse is over the top adorable. Thanks Bubbles!

Thank goodness I remembered how to upload a photo onto Craftster!  I was so concerned I had forgotten!

Anyhow, this is the beautiful mugrug and ladybug bookmark (and holiday card) that was sent to me by the prolific and talented 'Bubbles'!   ;D

I am so very sorry it took me so long to post the photo, but I want you to know that as soon as I opened the envelope I put the mugrug on my nightstand along with the bookmark, where they have both been being used nightly since!  And your holiday card was the first one of the season I received!  Thanks!

I am beginning to think bubbles is a codename several people are using. I also received from bubbles, but I won't reveal who she is, at least THIS bubbles, anyway.

I got a back issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors (I adore that magazine!) and a cute owl ornament for my tree. Yay! I spent the afternoon sick & sleeping. When I woke up my husband had put the swap package beside me!

Thank you, bubbles!

I RECEIVED AN AWESOME SECRET SANTA PACKAGE TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get ready to gaze upon its awesomeness.... :D

This was the package as it was once I took it out of the box.  I did include the bubble wrap in the photo as my girls and I will have fun popping it!  :)

These AMAZING drawn magnets were what was in the polar bear envelope!  It's hard to get such small drawing with such detail, but my Secret Santa did it!  I am going to keep the ladybug one for myself, but I'm giving hubby the rest and he's going to LOVE them!!!!!  (The beardie is especially well done, it's hard to get their faces just right and you hit it on the nose!)

And this is what was in the pretty green box!  Is this hand drawn as well???????  I LOVE IT!  I'm dressed like a schlep today, but I'm going to plan my outfit around the necklace tomorrow.  :D

In case it's hard to tell from the photo, the items in the white drawstring bag are beautiful blue rhinestones, and the items in the plastic baggie are leather squares with letters on them!

Thank you so much, Secret Santa!

I don't know how I could have forgot to comment on the SNOOPY BAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   :o :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Whenever I see/hear/receive something wonderful, I do the "Snoopy dance" as depicted on the bag.  When I unfolded it from the box, I giggled out loud!  I already know what crochet project I'm putting in it!  DH will get a laugh out of the bag when he gets home from work, I'm sure.

I can see you doing that happy dance, LBABB!  ha ha what a fun way to carry one of your crochet projects!

Those pest ornaments are beautiful!  I would keep the ladybug for yourself, too...although, that little mouse one is adorable...

luckdragon...wow--your kitchen is going to be so festive with those two sets of towels!!!  I really love those crochet topped towels...mine are worn to threads, but I won't throw them out!

hee hee...I guesses who did the cute embroidered ones and I think I am right!

OMG...that ugly sweater ornament is so cute....

Nooo--your boys look too happy to be playing with their big old hamburger!  Play food is a hit with kids, it seems!

OMG OMG OMG! So, I got a package yesterday and I'm so sorry I didn't get it posted yesterday, we had an even last night and I didn't get home until kinda late, and then this morning I had to take advantage of the dog wanting to be outside and I got to SEW!!! (She freaks at the sound of the sewing machine)

So I opened up the box and...

Cute fabric!  And..

Hmmmm, I did waffle on leaving it wrapped, for a moment, then... Yeah, that wasn't going to happen! There was a down side to opening it at work, I had to fight my way out of work with it, because my co-workers kept trying to steal my new...

BEAR COASTERS!!!!!

Thank you so much Secret Santa! :D

Those are the cutest coasters!  You might have to put a tracking device on them because I bet your co-workers are going to "borrow" them if you take them to the office!

and, what cure fabric!!  Can't wait to see what you do with them!

Oh, those bears! Adorable.

I received a fabulous box full of Moomin goodies! I thought about waiting until Christmas... as I was unwrapping them. Oops.

First up, a magnet and adorable little necklace:

And this incredible Moomin amigurumi, which my Santa says turned out bigger than expected. I'm not complaining! :) Fun fact: In Finnish, the Moomins are called Muumi (pronounced "moo-me") Ė It's a Muumi amigurumi! It's so fun to say.

Thank you Santa, this box of Moomin made my day! <3 :-* :D

I am so glad somebody tackled that bear coaster project for you Smeddley. I saw them and wanted to but there just wasn't enough time in my schedule. I know you'll love them forever, they are great.

Moomins! Those guys are so adorable.

Nobody is actually waiting for xmas to open their gifts are they? I know I couldn't possibly put it off until the 25th. When it gets cold like this I need cheering up every day, lol. That's why I love getting holiday cards so much, they filter in for all of December and keep me smiling :).

I've so been looking forward to seeing how those bear coasters turned out, and I don't think they could be any cuter! So much great stuff so far!

kittykill sent me a teagasm! I got 2 awesome tea strainers AND two boxes of tea. I'll have to wait til after Christmas to dive into them and share photos, since I am now listening to the waves below me on a lovely Mexico night.  :) Thanks for the well wishes; just getting out of the toxic air made me feel 70% better.

I received a lovely package of goodies, I'm not saying who from but there's no keeping this one a secret, lol.

Non-slip oven mitt and pot holder to protect my hands from hot oveny things! And chocolate, I am rich with delicious chocolate, mmm. The sparkly glass tree ornament is safely perched atop the piano to keep it from being mangled by our dangerous children, lol. I like it so much I think I'm going to start a collection of those and build a village centre-piece. Fun!

Check out these adorable cuties, my gosh they are both amazing but that little fish is too, too much!

I'm beyond thrilled to be the recipient of one of these famous hooplahs. This wee bird is ridiculously fantastic.

Just look at the stitches! I can't even...

Thank you "secret" santa :D I love it all, XO.

Also, i learned about the Moomin from a friend of mind who went to Finland!  Such a nice, neat job in the crochet...hmmmm...it could be a few secret santas...lol...but I think my guess is correct...can't wait to see who made that adorable thing!

I finally checked my mailbox on the weekend and two marvelous packages were waiting for me!

First, from the ever-so-industrious Bubbles (who really does seem to be just one very busy person, as I see some similarly crafted items in other packages).. Some nicely pieced festive fabric notecards

And some Super Mario mushrooms for the tree. The husband and I are both fans, and these are lovely (and festive with the red & green too).

Interestingly, "Bubbles" turns out to be a very close neighbour to me!   ;D

Next from another mysterious Santa, what's in the big leafy bag?

It's... a learn-to-crochet kit!

And my Santa noticed I had taken it off my list, but don't worry. It's still something I wanted (and something I've wanted to learn forever), I just had doubts about what it actually could be as a craft swap item. I thought to myself "What are they going to send me, just yarn?" But my Santa didn't have that problem and I got a nice big project bag, The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller (excellent - I've got Stitch N Bitch), hooks, stitch markers (had to look that up in the book), and - yes, yarn too.

Thank you to both of my Santas!

The leafy bag is really pretty and a nice way to store your new crochet project stuff!  I have that book and still refer to it. Before you know it, you will be hooking up a storm!

Bubbles does live close to you... ;D. I am sure you two could have a couple of crochet dates!  Those Super Mario ornaments are so cute and you are right...perfect for the holidays!

Sorry it took me so long to post this, we had quite a deal with our water heater and a blocked furnace vent and our house trying to kill us again. But that's all better and I can say that the packaging on this was fantastic...

When life gives you lemons...

...they can actually turn out to be pumpkins! Or something like that... ;)

Thank you, Secret Santa! These will be part of next year's PATT as well, and then feature in the backdrop for PATT photos for...  well, as long as I keep doing it, I suppose! :D

Here are the photos from my wonderful Secret Santa package, which I received this afternoon:

That cracked me up!

One for me, one for my older DD!  I love the wrapping and how the string is wrapped around it!

Could there be any more suitable beads (ladybugs and bumblebees) for me??!!  The washii tape is awesome and I need to figure out what to do with the two cute little scraps of ladybug fabric...maybe put it on my "happy board"...

And something that is not only beautiful, but sorely needed!!!!  I have been blessed in that my etsy shop has made enough sales for me to go thru all my ladybug themed stationery (I write my 'thank you for your order' in one and send it with the order).  I never would have thought to sew the fabric onto the card.  It looks like it was done by hand, too!

Thank you my Secret Santa who I know and who is such a kind person and I appreciate all the goodies!   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I received such a THOUGHTFUL Secret Santa package today!  I really needed a emotional boost, and this did it!  I took photos and I will post them either tonight or this weekend.

I have no idea who this is, and it doesn't say 'Bubbles' anywhere on the package.   ;D

With all the hub bub that surrounds the holidays, it's nice to get an unexpected treat for ourselves once in awhile, or something someone made for a loved one or friend that we can gift them.

I'm going to be sad when this swap ends.   :'(

There were two parcels waiting for me when I got home today!
First is this collection of goodies including 2 extremely delicate and lovely pieces of boro. The stitches are sewing thread for an idea of scale. Amazing, right? This came nicely wrapped but I am a brat and didn't even think about waiting, ha ha!

Now I know who that is from ;) but the second parcel totally stumped me. I don't recognize the name or the address so I will just have to wait until the big reveal to figure it out!

I received these awesome ornaments. I'm impatiently waiting for the kids to get home so we can hang them on the tree together. When your secret it out, Secret Santa, I would like to know how you made that snow on the wooden bulb ornament, it's so chunky and awesome! And I love the nifty use of a black pony bead for Frosty's hat.

They are each wonderful but my favourite has to be this mouse. How clever to use a bit of yellow sponge for the cheese, I never would have thought of that!

Thank you Secret Santas, you made my day!

Here is what I got from my lovely Secret Santa on Friday:

(I can't show how cutely they were wrapped b/c ding dong me took the photo with my address in it as well...they were wrapped in white tissue paper with variegated yarn.)

I was just so impressed by the handwriting that I had to share it!   ;D
A tote bag made using the most delicate ladybug pattern I've ever seen!  And an adorable crocheted mouse!

Back of the mouse just b/c it was so cutttteeeee! :D
Annnnddddd.....

Some teas she/he thought I would like and a nifty looking card the note included was written on!

THANK YOU SO MUCH SECRET SANTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to let any of you that send to me know that almost EVERYTHING that is sent to me gets used...almost no waste with anything...for example, the last package I was sent:

-the tissue paper was all saved and will be used with my etsy orders or gifts I need to wrap
-the variegated yarn was rolled up in a ball and will be used on other gifts or in a blanket I plan on making someday with the small ends of yarn that I need to use up
-the envelope will have all the identifying info removed and will be used to mail out an etsy order in
-the cover of the card was cut from where the writing was and will be used again to write out a note to someone

-the mouse is going to my DH who is an exterminator and loves all things bugs/rats/mice, esp. handmade items
-the tea is awesome b/c I can try the tea without buying an entire box
-of course I'll be using the bag myself!  ;D

I received a fantastic package yesterday! It arrived in the middle of a holiday party I was hosting so I only just now got to open it.

Check out the TWO beautifully embroidered kitchen towels! They have already been put to good use during my cookie making palooza today.

There was also a cute Harry Potter ornament for my tree!

Thank you Secret Santa! I love all my presents!

lol I have always loved that saying...and in the hoop, it is perfect...beautiful stitching and color!

LBABB...lol I also save the tissue papers, yarns, and even the envelopes for re-purposing...I like to think of those things as part of the "gifts" as well..

That tote bag is just too much!  You described it perfectly---a delicate print...I am sure you will be carrying around another crochet project in that bag!  So nice of you to give hubby the little mouse for his "exterminator" collection...it is so cute!

wow--more towels...what a lovely design on something so useful this time of year!  I have been admiring all of the HP ornaments I have seen this month...so many ideas translated into lovely keepsakes!

Also, the tiny felt mouse with the sponge cheese!!  Very clever...but I really love the boro pieces...

Such delightful packagggggeeeeess!

I got some delight if my own :)

The Bee Ornament has been a favorite project on my profile for a long time, as I love it :) made by my fave and crafting bestie, Audio. It was destined to come to me, I suppose!!!!
Then there were other lovelies that I just love, too!! Especially the heart shrine magnet!

And then I got further spoiled by ďMary ChristmasĒ from Canada!!! Candies and stickers and this delightful budgie art that I just LOVE. I still say ďsupĒ and this cool budgie does, too hehehe

Thank you Santa!!!

I hope I don't get my packages mixed up!

I got a package from Mary Christmas as well!! My obsession for notecards only grows when I get a boatload like this!  The sweater motif is the wrapping paper...which I am keeping for future use...love it all!

awww...this one is a keeper...too cute!

Next, I received from Some Other Bubbles...oh no...

I got a whole bag of fabric scraps for my Wounded Warrior quilts...and some of the coolest repurposed and revamped cards...I am so doing this, so thanks for the great idea!!

ha ha Here is my favorite!  This Secret Santa has a warped sense of humor like I do...I so relate to all of the cards...

Then, all the way from a Secret Santa in Kansas...this lovely flag fabric..which I will use to make an auction item for our local fire department...It is perfect for a tote or table runner...or...

and for me, she made the cutest bunting for my new remodeled fireplace!!  It fits perfectly and is reversible!

last but not least...we have a sneaky santa who calls herself Guess Who...I did not list these on my wishlist, but commented how much I loved these crochet topped towels...sneaky stalker hit the nail on the head with these very funny towels!!

Already in use...and very appropriate since I eat eggs every morning for breakfast! Love them!

Thank you so much Secret Santas!

Every little thing is so great but I love those egg towels! Now I am stealing that idea. My children can not hang a towel, somehow it's beyond them. The crocheted top is perfect!

Hey, I stopped swapping entirely until my kid hit preschool.  You are mighty for getting crafts out of the house at all. :)

So did I, of course. They literally eat your time up. It's the most intensive job ever.

Look what I got...
I love these patches, they are too much awesome. I have 3 children so I hardly ever arrive on time, it is totally a commendable feat the rare occasion that I do!

There is also some fabric to add to my stash and a card with a funny story in it, the first one I received, yay! It's about a barbie sleeping bag that was given to a young man as a gag gift and is still talked about by the family every year, how fun! Thanks for sharing that, I loved reading it and my kids will too.

I'm going to sew all the patches I have onto a sash and wear it around the house sometimes. With a tiara! My kids will be howling with laughter, lol.

Thank you secret santa!

I agree with everyone saying there is so much fun stuff in this gallery, I don't know where to begin! All the ornaments are so great, the patches are fab, anything crocheted, knitted, etc. always impresses me!

I received a fabulous package today from AIMR. And of course, couldn't wait to open it!

On the front there was an absolutely adorable ukulele ornament, which is posing next to my uke. :)

Inside there were awesome cupcake kitchen towels (!), sanding sugar, and cupcake wrappers. I can never have enough of any these things. I go through cupcake wrappers and sprinkles like nobody's business!

The ukulele is in good company on our Christmas tree. :)

Thank you thank you, AIMR! Such a lovely package!

So glad it arrived!  Mail around here is iffy around the holidays!

I made the peppermint bark on the back of the card...it was gone so fast that I decided the card had to "disappear" so I would never have to make it again...unlike you, I do not like any kind of cooking! lol

I just know that you are busy in the kitchen and hope you enjoy your gifts!

I found YouTube was the best, personally! So many tutorials on there and a lot of them walk through it really slowly with you. Cynthia Lin has a lot of great videos. I just played a few songs in public this past weekend, I'm in an Improv group and my friend and I did some pre-show music. I *never* sing in front of people, I have huge anxiety about my voice, but I partially hid behind a music stand and it was a lot of fun. :)

My sister and I learned how to play when we were about 8 years old. We played in front of military folks in the bases we lived in. My sister has a lovely voice and continued to perform when she learned guitar as well...me, I am better at sewing...lol

I received another sweet and thoughtful parcel in the mail today.

A funny card that is also a craft, interesting looking tea I will enjoy this afternoon, teensy weensy tiny little jointed paper creatures (that I heavily admired in another swap ;) ).

Fabric scraps, something I always want and ask for in nearly every swap, ha.

An adorable ornament for the tree and some really gorgeous machine embroidery patches that I think I know just the project for.

Thank you secret santa! A little cheering was in order today, my mister was up sick in the night and I've been home nursing his miserable self after not enough sleep myself. Happy mail was just the pick me up I needed!

I want to apologize...I have received two packages and have not been able to post them due to a lot of personal things going on in my life right now.  I have PMed calluna and smeddley about this.  For whoever sent them, they are GREATLY appreciated, and I will do my best to post the photos asap.

So very perfect that I should post under you Miss B  ;)

I decided to do a 12 days of Christmas present opening instead of the whole shebang on one day. After two birthday fiascoes (also the first time celebrating those this year) in which my kids were disappointed with the dozens of gifts they got (they were super overwhelmed), I thought that stretching it out might be a better plan. It's worked beautifully so far. But not expecting so much for myself it had become apparent I needed to start opening gifts along with them and the first package I grabbed was from this swap!

I definitely know who sent this but I think I would have known even if she didn't give a major hint. The perfect crochet is hard to miss and she is extremely generous  :-*  :-* So cool that you snuck behind my back and went in cahoots with the organizer  :D I'll be uploading pictures shortly. I am SO VERY GRATEFUL for my gifts! My old towels are 12 years old  ::) They're rather ratty, lol.

I got two packages! And I ripped into them 2 nights ago, set them out nicely for photos... and promptly forgot which pieces came from which package. Oh no!

In one package came this lovely ruby red hat (which, yes, is big enough to fit over my big hair bun! I can usually only wear headbands in store-bought hats, so it will be good to have a proper hat too).

In the other package came this nice big market bag - from my Craft Swap Wishlist board on my Pinterest. Looking forward to going to my farmer's market with this. It really is an ideal size for fruit & veg

And in some combination of the two packages (sorry Secret Santas...  :-[), came this smaller items. We've got some ornaments, festive Kleenex, and vintage newspaper (and sure, we'll call 1972 vintage - the paper is yellowed so it works!  ;)). The paper is the only one I know who it came from, as I left the sticky note attached - thanks AIMR.

So thank you to both of my Santas! The packages were both great, and useful too.

The secret santa that made your hat is the one who made the vintage ornament..hee hee...the newspaper is from the year I graduated high school...so yeah, it is vintage...lol

Glad the hat fit...I could not believe you had pinned a hat that I had purchased a pattern of a few years ago from another craftster!!!  I love slouchy hats!

That hat is fab & a terrific colour, as is the market bag. Even though our market sells awesome canvas bags I need some of those for sure because they are beeooteefull!
I love those vintage looking ornaments, they are full of pretty & also good feelings of the past. Funny how a tiny item can illicit so much emotion.

I was born in '72...

I have received the most amazing secret santa presents!

I had asked for a Christmas table runner, but this is too gorgeous to put on the table.  So this will be hanging on the wall in a prominent location!

Closeup. The pattern is bells but it looks very much like trees, which I love!:

And an adorable set of beach themed earrings - little dolphins on the end!

Thank you so much secret santa!!  You went above and beyond with a fantastic package!!
Thanks!

Lana finally opened up her 2 Secret Santa gifts!

OMG!!!  Thank you both for the amazing wonderfulness that was inside.  I can't find the pic I took of them wrapped (I'm sorry), so I'll have to go straight to the awesomeness.  There was much squeeeing about both of these wonderful gifts!!!

Thank you Secret Santa 1 for Lana's amazing hat!!!  The color, fit, everything is sheer perfectness!!!  I think her smile says it all!

Thank you Secret Santa 2 for Lana's unicorn hat/scarf.  It is adorable, amazing, and sooo kawaii!!!!  Am I bad for thinking that I could wear it too?

Lana will be rocking both of these lovely hats for a long time to come! Thank you both for spoiling the heck outta us.  You made my baby so very happy and I treasure your kindness to us.  Merry Christmas all!!! Rox & Lana

I'm sorry to my Secret Santas for not being able to post sooner.  I had testing done in the weeks before Xmas and I was under extreme stress while waiting for the results.  Thank goodness, all is fine!  But that, paired with the "regular" stress that the holidays can bring...well...anyhow, here are the photos of my lovely goodies!

A friggin TON of whimsies and beads!   :o

My favs:  small dolphins, small wrenches, and three (!) sets of earrings!

And the little pouch it all came in-ORANGE POLKA DOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

THANK YOU SO MUCH SECRET SANTA!  I can't wait to make something with all these supplies!

Up next, from another Secret Santa:

This group of items was PERFECT!!!!!  I actually needed a package of gum for my pocketbook, so I kept one for me.  It's an ongoing joke with me and DS that I give him lots of breath mints and mint gum every Xmas (When he was about to go on his first date, he was being a PITA.  He asked me for a mint-he knew I always carried them-and I told him no, b/c I was aggravated with him.  I know, bad passive aggressive Mom.   ::))  So DS got the other package of gum.  ;D  Hubby got the nifty rat ornament.  Was that burned and painted by yourself?  It's amazing!  And the bug stickers went into DH's stocking.  He loved them!

THANK YOU TOO, THIS SECRET SANTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the last grouping of items from the last Secret Santa:

All the goodies in a group...

The black dots on the ladybug have sparkle on them!  I tried to capture it in the photo.

My DD LOVED the watercolor paints (That is what was wrapped in the plaid tissue paper, DD opened it up on Christmas morning.) and the little note that was enclosed with them-whoever sent them and thought to add the note, thank you.  It was very thoughtful.

I received sets of ladybug themed notecards from two Secret Santas, and they are both so unique and different!  I hope to have lots of etsy sales so I have the opportunity to use them all up right away!   ::) :D

THANK YOU SECRET SANTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And another example of what a bad picture taker I am. At least you can see the cowl in this one. I love how soft this is. My dd loved it too. She said it made her 'fancy' and my secret santa musta been psychic bc it matches her coat!!

Thanks to all my Santa's. This swap was so fun!

Finally, photos of the rest of my gifts!!

First, a tea package from kittykill!

TWO tea strainers (a cat with a big fish, and a whale), plus a delectable assortment of tea. I'll be a happy, tea-sipping camper for quite some time this winter.  ;D I'm pretty giddy about the card, too. I received this right before I left on my trip, but I was too sick to function.  :P

Then I got home, and there were three packages waiting, plus UTM's holiday card! I was only expecting one!

First, from swap superstar and co-organizer Smeddley, I got a new spindle and a bag of fire-starters!

I'm going to use the living daylights outta all this.  :D

Next, LadybugsAndBumblebees sent a bunch of goodies, with the highlight being ATCs!
[
Two ornaments (yes, I did lick the candy cane to make sure it wasn't a Twizzler. It is, in fact, plastic.  :D), winter tissue pack (why do I never buy these for myself? So necessary!), and squishy dog card!

And finally, framed artwork and candy from fluffypants!

Check out this dapper guy! He looks like a Maurice to me. Pardon the glare; if you need a cleaner pic, fluffypants, I can de-frame it and re-photograph.

Thanks to everyone! Being the ringmaster of this covert circus is already such fun, and you all made it even better!  :-*

love the rainbow ATC!

Ohh the Moomins! *love*

THCchic, you and I must have the same sort of camera, ha! Your pics are not that bad, I can tell what it is and that it's cute ;).

Calluna, those tea strainers are too cute. We have one that's a wee man who looks as though he's relaxing in a steaming cup of tea. So funny!
One of these days I'll get and use a drop spindle. We tried them on a trip this summer and it wasn't difficult to manage, just slow to make an appreciable amount of yarn. A labour of love.

LB&BB sends the nicest parcels of love, doesn't she? :)

LOVE that giraffe! It's a family animal (there's a story there, lol).

Guys, you may have guessed that I am bubbles. Not of course "the other bubbles" or "not that bubbles" lol. I'm waiting to hear who those people are, and the rest that are still a mystery, lol. I hope you'll all spill!
I made a little something for everybody on the list when I was feeling poorly and stuck at home, it just sort of happened and it was really, really fun. I'm going to post all my projects now. I hope you all liked your surprises, I love all you people so much. XO

Things I made, if'n ya'll's curious-

Birds nest bracelets for jillybeans
(I really liked making those and see a lot more in my future!)

Wish bracelets and hat for underthemountain
(I did make extra Wish Bracelets and have been abandoning them about!)

Tea, beads, and wax melts for kittykill
(Sorry it was a little package, but hopefully fun?)

Crochet Moomin for fluffypants
(Oh my goodness, I did not think that thing was going to be that big!  I tried four times to get the pendant to be bubble-free, and then gave up, sorry!)

Ornament assortment for craftylittlemonkey
(Most were from kits, so I can't claim any great ideas in them!)

Bag and crochet mouse for ladybugsandbumblebees
(I'm glad you like the bag, and I adore that mouse pattern - he's the second, and not the last I'll make!)

Grammar hoop for luckdragon
(When I saw a hoop I'd made pinned, I had to go for it - it's one I really like and will one day make for myself!)

Bunting for alwaysinmyroom
(I am never making bunting again, man, did that fight me, but I was fairly pleased with how it turned out!)

Cowl for thehappycrochetchic
(Already made a second one of those for my mom for a Christmas present, I love the easy pattern with the boucle!)

And, obviously, firestarters and a drop spindle for calluna
(The firestarters are possibly the ugliest things I've ever sent anyone, but hopefully they work!)

I wish I could have done more, but I just ran out of time...  :/

I'm pretty fond of the Pukka "relax" tea (which is chamomile & marshmallow root & fennel) and various peppermint teas-- my current favorite is Republic of Tea's superherb nettle that has peppermint & vanilla in it.  It's a good bedtime tea that tastes like the holidays without being all cinnamonny.   :)

Sorry I'm late to the reveal game!

I made 3 claims:

alwaysinmyroom - coffee hoop, mini notecards w/watercolor poppies, and various extras (I promise the blue stones were a happy coincidence, which is kind of awesome)
ladybugsandbumblebees - watercolor magnets, cupcake necklace (which is also a watercolor piece I made), Snoopy totebag and a few extras
IsikkahJai - emoji charms & necklace, a DiscWorld inspired embroidered tea towel which featured the character of death and the words "I could murder a curry" (I'm REALLY hoping pics get posted. I was in such a rush to send it, I didn't manage to get any pics before packaging it up which makes me a bit sad because I loved it)

I guessed it was you by your art!!!  I did not realize that you also did beautiful hoops!  Thanks!

I made 3 claims as well -

underthemountain - unicorn scarf (so fun!)

smeddley - bear coasters (also so fun!)

tapestrymlp - Harry Potter dishtowels and ornament (can't resist when someone pins something that I made)

It was so fun crafting for you! I wish I had more time to claim additional people.

I hope we do a secret santa summer edition!

I sent the learn to crochet kit and project bag to psyche, and Pokemon perler bead coasters to Wavelight23478, which I unfortunately didn't take pictures of before I sent. :( I would absolutely be in on this swap again if it happens in the summer!

Those altered cards were awesome! Such a fun idea.

I can only take credit for the weird group of cards including the lady in the box saying "'sup", haha.

I love those as well and knew you made them...I always ask for notecards and almost cry when I have to use them!!  I love snarky cards, highly embellished cards, original drawings (flowers!), etc. I don't think I ever met a notecard I did not love! ha ha

But the ones I got in this swap were the first time I got altered cards with snark...awesomeness!

*raises hand* I might have done all the alt-bubbles packages; I'm not sure.  Everybody I sent to got a different code name and a different return address.  :)

I sent:

sock yarn to Fishstix43 (code name: Clotho)

DPN holders & embroidered pumpkins to Smeddley (code name: decorative gourds)

mini-books to Miknessevie (code name: gutenburg)

lavender house sachets to kittykill (code name: MOAR BUBBLES)

ladybug cards & watercolors to Ladybugsandbumblebees (code name: Not that bubbles)

badges & fun to craftylittlemonkey/bubbles (code name: guess who, since I was sending something easily identifiable as from me anyway)

notecards & fabric to alwaysinmyroom (code name: Some other Bubbles)

...and since I sent the last three at the same time, I just swapped the return addresses on the LB&BB and AIMR packages for extra confusion.  :)

You tricky person!!  I got a PM from LBABB and she got one from me...we are friends so, we sort of know each others' address by heart! We were both confused! ha ha ha

thanate...this is the first swap with you so I didn't really know what you did...I just LOVE your sense of humor...your note was lovely...and oddly enough, your writing is similar to another swapper I know as well...

tricky and talented...I just had a good laugh this morning...now things are clear as a bell!  Thank you!!!

My last package made it to me yesterday! It was a great surprise! She sent me a whole lot of fun! She made me a few ornaments using felt and crochet. And a sweet little snowman buddy! My toddler will probably steal him ;) And an awesome pair of boot cuffs that will work perfectly with my little new boots I got for Christmas! Thanks so much secret Santa!

(For some reason, my phone nor my laptop will not upload a picture right now.  So, picture to come later)

Update: like 10 minutes later my 4 year stole all of it and has claimed it all as her own.  ;)

Awesome! I am eagerly awaiting pictures. I could use a little throw-back holiday energy right now, all the cold and gray with no reason to celebrate is not as much fun as mid-Dec when the fiesta is right around the corner!

FYI, not to scare you JB, but it will only get worse.  Lana still claims all the cool stuff I receive...luckily she is sharing more than when she was 4.  :)

We have photo hosting!  And I have packages! :)

This one came right at the start of the photo outage, from *cough* someone in CA who might have sent late due to fires:

Painted rocks; I stole the tree (top left) and the raincloud ones before the rest of them disappeared into my child's jar labeled "Pretty rocks".  :)

And then *someone* sent me a giant stack of scrappy recycled midori-sized journal inserts, which is good timing considering I'm on the last page of the one I made for me, and a couple stamps-- I'll try to stamp them & get a picture you can actually see later.  *And* there was gift certificate to Urban Threads from "Old Man Winter" in my e-mail, which I might have already spent... :)

Thank you, all!

I now need painted rocks...wow...what fun for kids and adults!

So glad that we did this swap...it was loads of fun and I am still blown away at the generosity and ideas that people did for this one...I used one of my notecards today and nearly cried sending it off! lol

Love them!  I want to know what color secret santa used on the top and bottom...is it gold?  I love the tall candlesticks!  Definitely you with that gorgeous pink!

lol I mailed off something to fluffypants that I wanted to make for this swap but the yarn didn't arrive in time!

By the time it did, I totally forgot who wanted the hat!  ha ha I posted the completed project in the 50 projects board and luckily, fluffypants saw it and claimed it!  YAY!  Sorry it is late, but, at least it is still winter! ha ha

OMG! I feel terrible. I just realized (3 months later) that my post of all my received goodies didnít actually post. Probably since I was attempting to use my phone when I was in the hospital sick. If I can find the pictures I will post them ASAP.

I sent: The Harry Potter ornament & votive candleholders to fishstix43. And the Fairytale paintings and the Pokťmon ornament to tapestrymlp.
