I GOT MY PACKAGE TODAY!   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Wheeeeee!  ::)  I am home with my DD and I was SO hoping I would receive it today!  The above is a photo of what the wrapped gifts look like (before I hide them from myself  ;))

*sings softly to myself*  Small paper packages, tied up in strings, these are a few of my favorite things....

HERE IS WHAT I RECEIVED FROM MY PARTNER (rockmygypsysoul) FOR DAY ONE:

I am really playing on my "Queen Bee" status  ;D and adore this mug!  I have used it already!  And I love the colors she used too!  Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HERE IS WHAT I RECEIVED FROM MY PARTNER FOR DAY TWO:

I have already hung it up on the wall going up into my craft room and put a photo of me any my son in it!  It's so great and colorful!

HERE'S WHAT I RECEIVED FOR DAYS THREE AND FOUR:

The items for day three are three little felt envelopes with little felt "papers" inside.  I love these b/c they are durable and reusable for my students when we learn about the post office.
The item for day number four made me go  :o!  I LOVE anything that is jewelry and is silver and about my children, and this item fit all three criteria!   ;D
HERE'S WHAT I RECEIVED FOR DAY FIVE:

A box full of beads all the colors of the rainbow, memory wire, and jewelry "pliers" (I don't know what they are called.).  I love it!  I have always wanted to learn more about jewelry making, and I do really like the wraparound bracelets.  I can't wait till I have time to sit and make one!
HERE'S WHAT I RECEIVED FOR DAY SIX FROM MY PARTNER:

rockmygypsysoul made this great painted on wood sign for me from one of my favorite "classroom" quotes on pinterest!  I can't wait till Monday to hang it in my classroom!  (All the other teachers are jealous of all the Craftster items I have.  ;))
HERE'S WHAT I RECEIVED FOR DAY SEVEN:

Ok, would it be cheesy to tell everyone that I used some white cotton fabric that I had in my stash, and a fabric stamp pad to make FABULOUS LABELS USING THESE FABULOUS NEW STAMPS??!!!  Including my coveted QUEEN BEE stamp??????  And YARN stamps???  And even a butterfly stamp that can be used for my DD's Bat Mitzvah???!!!!  I AM SOOOOO HAPPY!
HERE'S WHAT I RECEIVED FOR DAY EIGHT:

This gift is so awesome that I had to post TWO photos of it!  I am SO proud of my tattoos, but no one can see them unless it's the middle of summer (my back and ankles are covered with tattoos)...I'm indeed chubby ;), and some would say I'm awesome too!  ::)  I can't wait to wear this shirt!!!!!!!!!!  THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HERE'S WHAT I RECEIVED FOR DAYS 9 & 10:

rockmygypsysoul created four beautiful works of art for me!  I want to wait till after Xmas when I have more money, to find some nice frames to put these in and find a special place to hang them.  They are so summery and they make me smile!
She also made me an AWESOME and COLORFUL wreath for my classroom in a rainbow of fabric colors, with a painted sign that says: Miss Barbara's Class.  I opened the gift this morning and brought the wreath to school and hung it up right away.  One of my students notices right away if something is different in the classroom, so she noticed it and she gives it two thumbs up! ;D
HERE'S WHAT I RECEIVED FOR DAY 11:

A painted triptych!   :o  I love love love it!  I already laid out how I want DH to put it up on the wall in our livingroom....the way it's painted, it looks like a love story about us.  Just one bird in the small painting, then two birds who look like they're getting to know each other in the medium painting, and then two birds sitting "beak to beak"!  And it has cherry tree limbs in the painting-I love cherry tree blossoms!  THANK YOU  :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
HERE'S WHAT I RECEIVED FROM MY PARTNER FOR DAY 12:

It is a beautiful rainbow beaded mobile!  I've already added some rainbow ribbon to the top, and it's now hanging in the corner of my bedroom!  It's beautiful!
(I'm sorry I switched up the postings for days 11 & 12.)
HERE ARE THE EXTRAS I RECEIVED FROM MY PARTNER:

and

A really nifty melty bead(?) shape of Texas!  I like the colors!  And a rainbow swirl pendant!  It's been so busy here I haven't had a chance to breathe but when things calm down, I'm going to find an outfit I can wear it with.  It's so cool!

Thank you, rockmygypsysoul, for the WONDERFUL gifts!  I can tell that you put a lot of thought and effort into each of them.  I am sorry that many of yours went missing, but I do hope you enjoy what did make it to you.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, EVERYONE!

My pretty, pretty presents from Lindy (lindyv321)!

There's another box, but I'm not supposed to open until after the third day.  :)

Day One!  My very own advent calendar!!  I love it so very much!  Every year I say I'm going to make myself one.  Maybe I'll still do that - not this year - but it's so lovely to have this one in the meantime!!  And it's already stocked with goodies in every drawer!  LOVE!

Day Two!  Really snazzy paint-can style holiday decorated can.  I will put this to very good use after I finish off the treats!  And the treats are not long for this world.  Shhh.  I am dying to try the salted caramel hot chocolate.

Day Three!  Today's gift is a really fantastic wreath.  I love holiday wreaths so very much.  I would put one on every door if I could!  And this one is just lovely.  You can't tell from the picture, but it's actually on the inside of the door to my office, so that I can see it all the time.  :)

Day Four!  Today, I opened a hoopla!  One of my favorite things to receive!  I have a wall of hooplas from various swaps in my kitchen.  And this will fit in just perfectly.  It makes me happy.  :)

Day Five!  A supply day!  Love, love, love.  Today's gift is a gorgeous batch of felt, embroidery needles, scissors and a package of pretty, pretty floss.

Day Six!  How are we at the halfway point already?  YIKES!  Today, I got wine cork ornaments!  I LOVE wine cork crafts!  They're so fun!  And, I love wine.  :D  But, that's neither here nor there.  But, it's fun!

Day Seven!  Today I opened a really beautiful white and blue felt garland.  It's so pretty!

Day Eight!  More ornaments for me!  Yay!  A set of lovely embroidered ornaments!  Already hanging up in their new home.

Day Nine!  I'm late!  But, I wasn't late opening or enjoying my present for the day!  Freaking adorable little felt houses!  How cute are these?  They're already up with my decorations, looking absolutely lovely.

Day Ten!  These are so stinkin' adorable.  Super cute little snowmen ornaments!  They've taken up residence on my refrigerator.  Absolutely perfect.

Day Eleven.  :)  I'm so sad this is almost over!  Today, I opened a set of absolutely fantastic notecards.  The fox ones are absolutely spectacular!

Day Twelve!  Last day!  Boo-hoo.  But, still, a lovely, lovely day  I opened this positively gorgeous necklace and bracelet.  I put the necklace on immediately.  It really complemented today's outfit!  I love it so much.  I'm wearing it for our office open house tomorrow, too!  So pretty!  The bracelet is all kinds of awesome, too.  The colors are so vibrant!

I've had such a lovely time with this swap.  What a great way to start the season.  :)  Lindy was such an awesome partner.  :)

kbrison sent me two boxes.  One was marked perishable so in the frig it went.  I got a pm saying it was ok to open as it included an extra :o  an extra!!!!! just look at this fantastic Nestle butterscotch fudge :o 2 round tubs and it tastes terrific.  OMG I love fudge, I am in heaven!!!!  I had the perfect dish to display it on. Popping 1 in the freezer for later....kbrison also sent me the recipe!!!!  Win win!!!!

Here is also a peek at all my pretty presents!!!!  Hoping to get my tree up over Thanksgiving break, then update a proper photo!!!!

Tree has not been put up yet...life happened but maybe by the end of this week......

DAY 1

So excited to start opening.....today I received 8 fantastic crocheted snowflake coasters....... could used then as ornaments  but so needed some seasonal coasters...these are perfect in size and they have a winter theme that I can use until spring  I do not crochet ...ummm maybe just a little but really no patience, they are perfect!!!  I also have a few packages labeled extras so I splurged and found inside this package some vintage buttons.....I am such a hoarder of buttons, can never have enough as far as I am concerned.....

And just look at this cute tissue paper sewing gingerbread...who ever knew!!!!!

DAY 2

Today when I opened I found two adorable ornaments!!  One is pieced from the perfect fabrics.  The stars are silver so shiny and bright.  I love this pattern and of course the cute little star button on top.  So well made!  Then also packed inside was an adorable felt snowman....Just look at his peppermint striped chenille earmuffs.  He is so cute and I have named him sparkle.......so need to get my tree up!!!!

sorry folks I am having trouble getting photos to rotate...worked well yesterday but can't seem to get it to cooperate today!

DAY 3

the gift I unwrapped yesterday was made to decorate me!!!!  I love snowmen and this wonderful snowman necklace on a silver chain just melts my heart!

Day 4

Today the gift that I opened was full of Christmas tree ornament hangers.....they could be used alone but I have plans to use them to hand my decorations and may just have to steal this idea and make more.

DAY 5

Kbrison is the best she sent me a PM pointing me in the direction of the next gift to open. I have been opening them as they are numbered small 1 small 2 etc. then move to medium 1 etc......  The next gift in line marked small day 5 was the one in question!  Karma, how cool is that? Todays gift was a charm bracelet that matched the necklace that I opened on day two....Plan was to wear the necklace today, which I did but I also had a matching bracelet....How cool was that?  Several co-workers attempted to make me be nice and give both away....but I held fast.....told them join craftster and you too can get some awesome gifts.....none of them craft so chances are slim.

Here is my necklace again!   I just love this set!

I managed to get ,y tree up today so I am adding a picture of it with my pezzies still to open.

DAY 6

Today I received the cutesiest  gift tags.  They have owls on them.  Super cute.  I do have a few packages to wrap so these will be put to good use!

This swap has really put me in the Christmas mood!   I decided to wrap a few packages today and use the tags that kbrison sent to me.  Don't they look fantastic.

I opened an extra just because......inside there were 3 Christmas cross stitch kits that will be started during my holiday time off that starts in 2 weeks I forgot to snap a picture so I will add those tomorrow!  But I also got 3 adorable gingerbread men ornaments......I usually have a gingerbread themed tree in my den but it has not been put up yet so for now they are on the one in the living room. I also took pictures of my first 2 ornaments hanging on the tree with my cut new hangers.

DAY 7

Todays gift was a soap making kit......I am so excited about this....I have never tried to make soap but have always wanted too.....and it is perfect  Tie Dye a favorite of mine. One of the shapes is a peace sign!!!!  My tree skirt is tie dye fleece  and I have  tie dye stars all over it!  again I think kbrison has been in my house.....gonna have to talk t BF about that.....maybe Santa gave her a key!!!!

DAY 8

Yesterdays gift was needed so very bad....Just look at these two dish towels...perfect for my kitchen.  They are double thick meaning the towel was cut in 2 and they look the same on both side, double thickness! I just love the crocheted button.  A craft I do not do well or I would probably make a hundred or so of these.

Day 9

Super spoiled today with not one but two mug rugs!  One is a seasonal snowman so love this cute fellow and look at the back...it was quilted with a snowflake!

mug rug two is extra special....parrots....and it was quilted with my user name quaggy.....hard to see in the photo. OMG do you see the skunk between the two snowman??????? I listed this as my favorite animal in so many swaps!  I call it my eye spy mug rug....I spy a racoon, 4 rabbits, a fox,   9birds, a deer 1 snowman and 1 snowwoman. I must say these are perfect and the binding was hand sewn and so professional.  Also a sweet treat to bake up.....

The back side fabric!

My coasters from a few days back!  just because..............

DAY 10

Todays gift was a double sided apron that I so needed.  I tend to make these for swaps but never me.    I love the fabrics that she used and have already put this to use!

DAY 11

I was so spoiled with this gift!!!  6 Reversible placemats..........the fabric is perfect......and I know the time and love that went into these.  from the decorative quilted stitching to the hand sewn binding........... I will cherish these forever!!!!!!

Day 12

A much needed new wreath......I have already placed it outside my front door.  It was night time so this is this best picture I could snap!!!!!!!

It was wrapped in a cute piece of gingerbread fabric that kbrison stitched together with a very long stitch so I could remove it easily and use the fabric for something else.  So thoughtful!!!!

I was so spoiled and had the best partner......we connected in our PMs to each other through out opening days....Tis the season for magic!!!!!

This spot's mine, all mine!
Three very large packages waiting on my doorstep. Yeah! Goodies from Quaggy!

There are so many packages that they cover most of my bed.

Several of the packages have these wonderful painted wood tags that will be hung on my Christmas tree once I get to open the packages.

We haven't started opening gifts and I'm already a very, very happy camper!
Day 1 - freezer paper to use for doing applique (according to Quaggy) except it gives me the perfect excuse to try my hand at stenciling. New craft skill, here I come!

Oops! Didn't know there was another gift inside the freezer paper until Quaggy cued me in. A sequined Welcome banner!

Then having very little self-restraint, I opened an extra too. Chocolate spoons! I consume my weight in hot chocolate every winter. Another perfect gift!

Day 2 - Gift tags. Had to do this in multiple photos because each group is so different. First up, wooden mittens.

Next, fabric stitched on cardstock.

Painted wood.

Laser-cut wood.

Day 3 - A pieced and quilted snowman banner embellished with embroidery and in my favorite colors. It's going on my craft room door for the entire winter.

Day 4 - A set of beautifully handpainted decorations that look professionally done. Quaggy did an excellent job on them. Then another extra - a bath bomb that resembles a lollipop.

Day 5 - Two needlefelting kits to make penguins. This is going to be so much fun to try.

Day 6 - A set of fabric bookmarks and novels to go with them. Can't decide which book to read first; they both sound great! Going to store the design for the bookmarks in my "Need to do this" file.

Day 7 - Another holiday quilt. This one can be hung on the wall or has a stand so it can be freestanding. The little red birds remind me of cardinals and my youth in Illinois and how much my mother loved to feed them every winter.

Day 8 - More painted wood ornaments. Wish I could have gotten a better shot of the fine detail work on the angel. It's amazing!

Day 9 - A snowman container stuffed with embellished holiday dish towels. Going to save the towels to use as liners for my cookie baskets and bread baskets at our extended family Christmas Eve dinner.

Quaggy has been a real sweetheart and has posted photos of some of the gifts she sent me. I've been spending so much time at one of the Tulsa hospitals with my FIL that I was having a hard time getting photos taken. I feel like we've begun a great friendship and that's been the best gift of all!
Quaggy did miss a few things though so I'm posting the gifts she missed.
A patchwork mug rug and a ton of extras including a Santa mug, a Santa candy jar, candy that the chocoholic (me!) ate before it could be photographed, cocoa mix, flavored teas, a Yarnista calendar with knitting and crocheting quotes, and a felt Santa bowl.

Quaggy did such a professional job on my cute thread catcher with a peppermint weight to hold it in place as well as hold pins. Then she filled it with oodles of sewing goodies: thread, batik fat quarters (I LOVE batiks!), seam ripper, pins, two sizes of scissors, and brown Velcro. Guess that means I need to get sewing when things settle down.

I can't imagine having a better partner. Thank you so much, Quaggy!

Here is a preview of my goodies from HELENA PUCK!

DAY 1 (note says it is more a day 12, but so I could use it now, I made it day 1): An Advent calendar -- and there are goodies in each box!  Today was a tiny bell punch.

DAY 2 (again, really for day 11, but I want to move the huge box, lol): A kit to make my own Advent calendar!  Not sure if I will do Advent themed (since I now have one), or create something completely different...

DAY 3: A beautiful nativity domino style pendant...may use this as an ornament!

DAY 4: a cute little tree ornament!  stained glass style is always good :)

DAY 5: fun garlands made of upcycled Christmas cards punched into a gingerbread boy shape and stitched together!

DAY 6: a fun snowglobe style ornament! :)  Love the little tree in the glittery snow.

DAY 7: two fun snowball ornaments!  Love this look!

DAY 8: an awesome peg people nativity!! I love nativities and have an ever growing collection! :)

DAY 9: Today is a fun wooden bangle bracelet with Christmas stamps on it!  I love it, but I will be passing it on to a friend as my hands are wide & bangles like this won't go over them :(  Oh well!  A nice gift to share!

DAY 10: An awesome Cindy-Loo-Who pouch!  I love zippered pouches & use them a lot as I try to organize my life, lol

DAY 11: A beautiful cross stitch manger!  The perfect addition to my nativity collection :)

Got my TWO boxes today! After the kids laid down for a nap, I was able to pull everything out and take a quick picture.

My husband walked by and said "Woah, it looks like you have a pretty great partner". But now that everything is here, it's 100 times more real and a 1,000 times more EXCITING! Incidentally, I am partners with alwaysinmyroom.

Day One!

I got an awesome wreath made out of paper flowers. And they are all blue and white, my favorite Christmas colors. I have been wanting to get enough wreaths for every door in the house. Yesterday, I hung up the two I have, and my daughter was upset because there wasn't one for her door. But...

...problem solved! Now she has one as well.

Day Two!

An awesome Christmas scene! This perfectly captures how I feel about winter. Whenever it snows, I love wandering through the trees and looking at everything sparkle. Alwaysinmyroom captured that in a teeny little glittery scene. I love it! Here it is in its new home...on the shelf with my family pictures.

Day Three!

So I am a baaaad girl and opened two days today! But to be fair, they were bundled together. I got popcorn a bag of green tea Kit Kats, green tea pocky, flower candies and two boxes of green tea cookies. Can you tell I like green tea? All of it was sitting in a really sweet handmade coil basket in blue, the best color ever! My husband was beyond thrilled about the Kit Kats. He fell in love with them two years ago when we went to Uwagimaya in Seattle and hasn't had any since. I let him have one, now I am off to hide them!

Tomorrow, I am opening my extras bag!

Day Four!
I DID end up opening my extras bag today! And then after ooohing and aaahing over literally every item, I promptly fell asleep in my chair. Because my daughter was at her grandmas. And apparently, I am 90. Anyway, here are the goodies...

Lots of green wool blend felt, soap by MareMare, sugar scrub by KittyKill, notecards, stickers for my daughter. The felt is sooo perfect because I just got a copy of Fa La La La Felt in the make a friend swap. So as soon as I get done with gifts, I will have to make some little felt trees. And I firmly believe you can NEVER have too many soaps. :)

I also got vanilla cream caramels, a beautiful Japanese book, a felt ornament for my dog and a vintage silk scarf. The scarf was her mother's I am so honored she passed it along. Truth be told, I teared up a bit when I read that. It is such a beautiful bunch of colors and I can't wait to wear it.

This was such an awesome package to open...it was like the surprises didn't end!

Day Five!

Another "ohmygoooooooddd" package! A giant bag of real green tea, two awesome Japanese mugs that are actually big enough for a good serving of tea and a winter-themed mug rug. All of this is going to get used so very much. Whenever we have anything remotely Asian-style for dinner, I fill my french press with green tea. No worries, it never sees coffee...don't want to mess with that tea flavor. :) But with these mugs, now I have good-sized mugs that actually fit with the style of dishes I am using. Once again, alwaysinmyroom hits a swap partner home run. I am seriously spoiled.

Day Six!

Day six was a gift for my little man. I had no idea what could be in a tiny package...it was little bow ties! So. Stinking. CUTE!! I have been dying to make him a little tie for Christmas, but I just haven't had the time. He is gonna be a hit at church. :)

Day Seven!

Today was supposed to be for my daughter and the 9th is for my husband, but I took some liberties. He will be out of town Monday through Wednesday, so I had them swap days. As an added bonus, that means she will be opening hers on her birthday! Anyway, Eric just started fly fishing this year, and he loves it. Alwaysinmyroom has a brother in law who makes flies, so in the envelope there were 4 hand-tied flies! And in case he does't catch anything, she also made him a big stuffed trout. These are hands down the coolest things he has gotten from a swap. And I think the trout on the card is a pop-out ornament. So cool!

Day Eight!

Besides the tea, this is my favorite gift so far. I love, love fingerless gloves, and these ones are wonderful. They are soft and light and I have been wearing them every day since I got them.

Day Nine!

So after swapping day 7 and 9, my daughter ended up getting to open her gift on her birthday. It worked out quite well because my husband was out of town and her birthday celebration was delayed. She got a fish garland, and she was thrilled with it. We had to find a place to immediately hang it. So it's hanging on her headboard. :)

Day Ten!

Alwaysinmyroom makes some relaly fun paper art. And since se is Japanese and I love anything Japanese, she made a really sweet piece of art inspired by her heritage. It a beautiful little paper kimono with a coin in the center...very cool!

Day Eleven!
Pillow!!! I have been wanting some new pretty pillows for my living room, and now I have one. And this is perfectly timed. A few months ago, I had planned on painting the last wall of our living room. But than medical bills happened and painting got put off. So a fun new pillow added a little fun to my living room.

Only one more day to go...so sad!

Day Twelve!

A SWEET table runner! Look how cool it is! I unwrapped it and immediately put it on the table. And than, since it was dinner time, I used it right away. It works great and is the perfect length for our table.

Alwaysinmyroom, you were an awesome partner. I loved everything you made and all the extras you sent. I totally got spoiled this year. :)

I'll be posting my goodies here!  This is my tree from last year.  We have to tie it to the wall because of the darn cats.

My lovely partner is stellato_escuro!!

My package arrived 11/24/14!
It was like a magic box:  I kept pulling packages out!

Here is my cat enjoying one of the boxes used to keep one of the packages safe:

Ready and excited for DAY 1:

DAY 1:

I got the cutest pickle to hang in my tree!  lol Our family is a bit nuts about finding the pickle.  We never had a prize or anything, but stellato's family did....a Toblerone candy bar!  I might start a new tradition this year! (or I might just eat it...)

I also opened up an extra...just in time for making some mulled cider!  mmmmm

Thanks! My day started off great so far.

Ready for Day 2!

DAY 2

Had to laugh when I opened these because I was just complaining to my mod buddies that someone is taking my coasters as fast as I can make them...(I suspect my brother and nieces...)...boy, did I need these NOW!  Lovely colors to use all year...and they even match my living room colors!  Love the different shapes!

This one is mine and all mine!

I also opened up an extra...;D...new reeds for my fragrance bottle! How did you know I needed these? :o

What will Day 3 bring?

DAY 3
lol I think someone knows I collect stars...I was really sad that I did not receive any in the recent ornament swap... :'(
Now I have enough to string and make a star bunting!!!  I can crochet but have no patience for little items like stars and snowflakes...but I do have a lot of wonderful craftster buddies who send them to me...thanks!  :-*

Testing the line up--- ;D

And, of course, excited already about Day 4!

DAY 4
I opened up Day 4 at midnight last night because I knew today was going to be so crazy busy!
I got a lovely wreath that I immediately hung on my china cabinet!  I appreciate that you respected my request to use what you had and recycled materials!  What a great idea for all of those bits of ribbon on packages! ;D

Just a little note since you are interested in Japanese culture:  the chrysanthemum red Noritake china tea set in my cabinet was given to my aunt by my parents when they were in Japan in 1952.  My aunt gave me the set last year.

I will get up a bit early tomorrow to open up Day 5!

DAY 5
My darn black cat woke me at 5 am...which is fine, because it gave me a chance to play a bit with my Day 5 gift: a hand carved stamp!  I use stamps like this for background for my altered art projects.  I have limited luck with carving stamps so this is greatly appreciated!

Ready for Day 6!

DAY 6

I found out over Thanksgiving that my two little great nieces have American Doll babies!  I wanted to make them something for Christmas but really didn't have doll clothes fabric...well, Day 6 solved that!  I am going to make them robes with this fabulous knit fabric and red flannel nightgowns that I have in my stash!  Perfect!  I love when that happens!  Thanks for saving me a trip to the dreaded mall!!! ;D

Edited:  There will be trip to the M-A-L-L after all!  Turns out the beautiful fabric is a beautiful infinity scarf!  ha ha ha The joke is on me and my fabric mind!!!  Picture to come!

Day 7--hurry up!

DAY 7

Sunday was the perfect day to open this next gift.  I hope I can post this without crying.  I lost my mother this spring and was not looking forward to the holidays at all.  However, with family and friends, I made it through Thanksgiving.
I find remembering the things my mom loved and the good times we had over the holidays really helps with the grieving process.

When I opened up this very personal and beautiful gift from stellato, I just cried.  What a special way to remember my mom!  I am going to leave this up all year.  It makes me smile and cry, but in a good way...thank you...if I get nothing else this swap, I would be happy with just this one special thing.  Thank you, dear partner!

There was a slot to put in a picture of my mom.  I put in her memorium info.

Can't wait for Monday evening to open up my next gift!

DAY 8

Once again, I left my camera at work!  But, I think Day 8 is going to be a favorite of mine!  I am an obsessive note taker...I got a beautiful notebook cover for my little memo pads (two were included!)...and, a little handmade journal for my crazy drawings and ideas!  I try to ask nicely for notebooks and notebook covers in swaps because I truly use them up quite quickly.  I am going to take them to work and take pictures there....plus, I need to start notes on what I need to get done before Christmas day! :P

Day 9 is approaching fast!

DAY 9

I got another Christmas tree to add to my collection!  This is one that has been on my Pinterest for some time...a yo-yo tree!  The fabrics are really nice and even match my living room curtains!  Can't wait to put it in with all of the other trees I put in the windowsill!

Day 10 ready to be torn into (gently!)

DAY 10

Ok, Day 10 is my new favorite!!  First, it is recycled, second, it is colorful and fun, third, it is nicely done!  It is a salt box shrine!  Stellato--you need to do a separate post on how you did this!  I love it and now I am can't wait until our salt box is empty so I can try! lol and this is what the teaser picture was!! The berries and ribbon on top! ;D

Day 11 feels soft and squishy!

DAY 11
I got enough napkins for my whole clan!  These will be really nice for when we all get together for dinner!  I had been using so many mixed match ones so it will be nice to have some that are matchy!  Love the little trees...the plaid ones can be used all year!

Day 12---oh no! The last gift!

DAY 12 The Final Gift!

My final gift was exactly what I requested!  A piece of art for my CRAFTSTER ARTISTS ONLY wall! YAY!  love the theme (birch trees) and the colors!

We are having dreary weather so it is hard to show off the beautiful bright colors!

Thank you for a wonderful holiday swap!

I asked Sheridan if she could package my stuff in as many different papers as she could, without forcing her to buy 12 different rolls of wrap. She managed 11 different. How f**king awesome is that?

Day One: I got supplies!

Day Two: A pretty pale green and blue plaid necklace, and it came in a silk snap bag!

Day Three: SO MANY FREAKIN SOAPS

This one's called Tabula Rasa

four lime bergamot scented soaps carved into the shape of limes :D

Day Four: ornament!

Day Five: kickass toque with what I call hair-holes. I only wish I'd opened it before I went out, because it matched my outfit perfectly.

Day Six: Today my gift came in a pretty box:

A messy multistrand yellow bracelet. I love it, it's a great accent on all my Hufflepuff themed clothes.

Day Seven: All the supplies needed to start embroidering!

Day Eight: it's all over my craftster account and pinterest that I love zombies. And one of the possible things I asked for was a custom painted nutcracker because my family collects them and we have most of the "normal" themes. She put these together and made me an undead nutcracker!

Day Nine: Four beautiful pairs of earrings in a jewelled case.

Day Ten: I got two HUGE teesha more patches, they're both the size of my hand!

Day Eleven: a kickass embroidered Big Bang Theory hoodie for my mom (thank you, this'll make her Christmas)

Day Twelve: a Monty Python hoodie for my dad. It's actually a hunter green colour, and my dad will LOVE it.

My array of packages from gala_apples!

So I have decided my morning routine will now be eat breakfast, open present!

Day TWO - beautiful handmade cards for writing letters and thank you notes! SO pretty!

Day THREE - pretty little wreath ornaments.

Day FOUR: I am SO excited about this! I lost my sleep mask in my many moves and have been waffling about getting another one.. and now I have one even more awesome than the ones I've been looking at!!!

Day FIVE - sweet little TM patch ornaments!! (I LOVE that gala_apples understands my looooove of Christmas ornaments :D )

Day SIX: Correction: TWO fabulous drawstring bags (shoe bags for travel.. will SO get used!)

One of the "extras" she included (I'm spacing them out for extra enjoyment!)

Day SEVEN: A stocking!! I loves me some stockings!

Day EIGHT: some lovely stamped leather bracelets :D

Day NINE is this adorable Christmas bunting! It's a fun assortment of Christmas fabrics and I can't wait to hang it up properly :D

Day TEN: A set of wonderful Christmas cards - now I have no excuse for not sending out cards this year!! :)

Day ELEVEN: This beautiful garland. It's a silver chain with round charms on them in different shades of blue with snowflakes glued on the larger ones. It's just lovely!

Then (I am glad I had saved these) I was having a crappy day which was brightened by these two lovely ornaments that were part of my "extras" :D Aren't they adorable??

And DAY TWELVE:
Gala_apples somehow knew I needed an actual set of napkins (rather than my normal hodgepodge that I've got going) and made me this bright, cheery, colorful set to add to my collection! Don't they just make you want to have a party?

Thank you SO MUCH gala_apples for all my wonderful goodies and for making my holiday cheerier!

Staking my claim NOW THAT I HAVE MY PACKAGE!!!  YAY!!!

Here we go - items courtesy of LadybugsandBumblebees:

Day 1 - a lovely little wreath with neat rainbow buttons and a cute focal 'imagine' button!

Day 2 - a little teacher-themed wreath for the hubs!!

Day 3 - a third crocheted wreath for my pups!!

Day 4 - a DELICIOUS chocolate toffee bar which may or may not have been immediately consumed

Days 5 & 6 - an assortment of little goodies!!

Day 7 - a remembrance plaque for our baby we lost in a miscarriage <3

Day 8 - a wood plaque with a picture of the hubs and I from our wedding - it's been 7 years and it's still my favorite picture of us!

Day 9 - a set of moose in winter placemats! I love moose and real reindeer as holiday subjects!

Day 10 - a whole set of 10 cards!  I hate paper crafting and it's easy to get cards for women but tougher for men so LB&BB whipped these up with some awesome marbling and stamps!!

Day 11 - a tree and moose tablecloth!!  All these neutral colors are perfect in my livingroom and this tablecloth is actually already in use for my coffee table, tying Christmas in with my other decoration-less living room!

Day 12 - a crocheted blanket!!  LB&BB calls it a lap blanket but it's bigger than that and we love it!!  It has perfect colors for our livingroom and as you can see, Gus is already a big fan  ;)

It's a shame that we didn't get everything that was sent and LB&BB can't show off more of her awesome work but we do so love what we got!!  THANK YOU LADYBUGS&BUMBLEBEES!!!

oh my goodness!  That fudge looks so yummy!

It is yummy and my partner PMed me saying the two containers held different flavors....so what a great partner I get to do a taste test when I get home from work it's like getting another early gift.

It never occurred to me to send perishable foods as extras so they could be open early!  That kbrison is a smart one! ;D

My spot!

Ok, here I am catching up! I think I have most of these in the right order. Some of the tags fell off so I figured it out the best I could!

Day 1:
An adorable black/orange ceramic cat.

Day 2:
A Christmas sign.

Day 3:
A stuffed snowflake on a stick w/ a matching jar. Definitely one of my faves!

Day 4:
Decorated tins.

Day 5:
Snowman painted glasses.

Day 6:
Stuffed Santas.

Day 7:
Stuffed kitties! And a couple mice too.

Day 8:
Another ceramic kitty, this time it's orange! He's super cute and looks like one of my cats.

More to come!

Here's the rest:

Day 9: A board with a cat wood burned into it.  This is one of my faves and it's hanging in my kitchen now.

Day 10: More kitty stuff, a hot pad, towl, and mat.

Day 11: Mugs with my kitties on them!

Day 12: Christmas ornaments. The snowflakes have my kitties names on them too.

Thanks partner!

Hey, that counts as willpower! Some other craftsters may have also enjoyed a (lightly) spiked hot cocoa with lunch yesterday, so you don't have to feel too bad! :)

Does anyone else open their packages and audibly gasp "Oh. My. Gooooooosh!!!! This is MINE?!?!?!"? My Day 2 gift is KILLER.

Alwaysinmyroom: I'm glad you like the mug rugs. I was waffling about sending mismatched sizes. But then I realized they migrate all over the house anyway. Strange that I managed to pick colors from your decor...

Glad you like the scene!  Snowtex (and glittery Snowtex) is one of my favorite things ever!  The reindeer is vintage from a little shop around the corner...I had a bugger of a time keeping him glued on...three times I think! ;D

I made one of the trees myself! ;D

I love the Queen Bee mug!  The handwriting on it is so perfect!

I also adore the crochet snowflakes, the winter scene, the stocking, and oh well just everything!!!

Glad you like your calendar Thimbles.... I had some issues with the decorative papers not staying on so if one pops off you should be able to glue it back on!

It feels strange to be opening gifts... it doesn't feel like Christmas yet to me...

We have a baby!!!! Our daughter Esther was born over the weekend and we are home and doing well.  I will post the last of our pictures later today and want to tell rantyhippie a big thank you for giving me a distraction at the end of pregnancy.
Here she is:

Day one: a hooped nativity and angel ornament. Rantyhippie, I love how you closed the hoop up, I never really figured out how to close up my hoops in a way I like so you might have to do that to one of your gifts.....

Day two: a tiara for baby girl and some baby socks.  Might have to put a picture of her in it when she makes her arrival!

Day three: deep purple super soft small blanket for little one to cuddle with and an elmo hat

Day four: it was a good day to break down and let my boys open this one, since it was for them: a portable tic tac toe board and a Christmas card garland which I might change to hold her name at the hospital (I am bringing decorations so I still feel Christmasy)

Day five: Difficult to see since he kept trying to jumprope but they are green, white and red bunting flags which my boys intend to use for jousting matches instead of wall decor.  I thought it was pretty creative so let it slide.
Day six: burp cloths

Day seven: tree skirt and owl ornament

Day eight: bread warmer carrier

Day nine: baby hat and pocket organizer.  The hat is still a bit too big for her, but as much as she is eating, I am sure that will be in use soon!

Day ten: hoop art which I will be putting up in our kitchen:
Day eleven:  my favorite a snuggly sleepsack for baby girl.  If this winter is as cold as last year, this will come in handy!

Day twelve: some felt ornaments that the boys have claimed for their tree.

Thanks again for the crafting distraction, I had a great time crafting for you rantyhippie!

I need to get an action shot of the Kitchen Aid cover doing it's job.  I love that it's big enough that to go over my bowl cover thing too!

No thanks to the snow!!! It's cooled off here some today and I am hoping this means that it's going to really cool off soon.

Good luck on what sounds like your impending labor madmommymia!

I've posted my adorable day 1 and day 2!

The husband retrieved my packages from the box for me (the box was damaged in shipping) and now he thinks the box may have been more damaged than I initially realized since he's not seeing 12 days' of packages in there.   :-\  I may have to check for myself (um, anything beyond his purview of government is beyond his capacity, even counting, plus like he said he's unsure about 'extra' versus 'day' gifts.  I could tell at least two of the packages were partly ripped when the box arrived (again, why I left it as is and stashed it away) but I may have to retrieve it and see what happened.  :-[  But the box was clearly damaged in mailing (SO not my partner's fault!!) - I just hate the idea of something meant for me floating around somewhere out there in the postal netherworld...  :'(

Oh no rmgs =( that is so horrible! I hope your husband just can't count!

Can I make a suggestion? Can we all put a link to our picture post in our signature so when we say we have updated we don't need to wade through previously read topics to find the updated one?

Title: Re: Mini 12 Days of Christmas - Gallery

gah---two of my buddies, kbrison and LBABB are both fantastic crocheters, so I often get them mixed up!!!  Sorry ladies!  :-\

I love scrolling through the gallery and seeing the new items...I seem to miss a few each time, but that does not mean I am not "oooo-ing" and "aaahh-ing" at everything!

Gosh, I love that button frame and that adorable little snowman ornament.

I don't have anymore room on my signature...but I like the idea...;D.  Maybe the organizer can link to our picture posts on the first post?  Or, we could just select "show images"?  That is what I do.

Also, some people do not have who their partner is on their picture posts...it would be sad not to know who made all the nice things...

ANGELS NEEDED

I'm sorry to say that we have a flaker and I'm putting a call out to any angels who would be able to help out a fellow swapper.  Hopefully we can find enough volunteers on our board before I post to the angel board.  Two week crafting time should be good.  If anyone is able to help, please reply and/or pm me right away.

Possibly people could craft 4 items:
     3 smalls
2 smalls and 1 store bought
     1 medium
     1 large

Since it's Gotgrey who may need an angel, let me be one. I can hand-deliver and get things to her in less than 2 hours since we only live about 90 miles from each other. As my MIL would say "That's no step for a stepper" meaning it's very easily done.

lol stellato_escuro!  I got a bit carried away with your green tea love! ;D  It was fun finding things made with green tea at the Asian market...and believe me, I could have bought almost one section of the store!  I am glad your hubby was happy with his green tea kit kats....I never heard of them before!  I was tempted to sneak one out to try!

I am was hoping you would open your extras bag on Day 4...the coiled boil just seemed the perfect thing to hold your foodies so I combined Day 3 & 4...I did not even think about how that would work...duh! Sorry!

I love the Santa wreath posted...it is hilarious!  What is the belt made of?

I love everyone's goodies!  Some of the advent calendars that people have made just amaze me!

For me, this week has been NUTS!  I'm opening my presents in the morning, real quick, before I go to work.  But the last few days I've been getting home just in time to take a shower and go to bed again!  :P  I'm hoping that Friday night, I can catch up on posting my pictures!

The Santa wreath is made with yarn, ribbon, and the buckle is made with cardstock.

I had such a crazy night/morning that I totally forgot to open a gift today :o

rockmygypsysoul, I keep a swap book of what I send, etc...  You should have in the box I sent you:

*1-6 days, small
*7-10 days, medium
*11 & 12 days, large

PLUS:

6 or 7 extras.  Two of those extras were large items, the rest were small items.

I'm so angry that the PO damaged the box!   >:(  I finally send out my own swap packages (instead of DH) and they get there on time, but now the PO messes up the box itself!  (And if you remember, I had packed the items myself, in my own boxes, but they made me buy a new one of theirs since mine had the name of a type of liquor on it.)  Arrggghhh!

Please let me know if you have everything.  Thanks.

If you send priority, it includes some insurance.  It would be a shame if any of your items went missing...because I know they are wonderful items made by LBABB!!!!  Fingers crossed that everything is there!

I have no idea why, but I need those felt envelopes! ;D

The coffee hoop is in the wrong house...it seems so many things went to the wrong house...my house number is....

I also love the little felted tea light cover...felted things amaze me...and that gorgeous bookmarker...

I want to go home and open everything, but seeing other things on here helps to refrain.

CabinArts - I forgot to tell you that the corks in your cork wreath that have printing on them, are all from North Carolina wineries that I've been to!  Talk about a yummy project!  ;)

FINALLY--the identity of the cork wreath maker is revealed!  I just love that wreath, Ffrogg526.  I am glad to know who made it. ;)

quaggy--those tags are beautiful!

I also saw a cool sleep mask...who sleeps in December?

Madmommymia--I know you must be ready to have your baby!  Is is due near Christmas?
loved that nativity hoop...a nice combo of felt and embroidery!

I posted my Day 5.

Alwaysinmyroom: I am with you, no craftster sleeps during December! Or any month with a major holiday that can be crafted for. :)

That button picture frame is awesome! I am going to have to pin this as a gift idea for my mom next Christmas. And the snack bags with the bird print are so cute. I need to find that fabric.

Is anyone else feeling like their partner is awesome at spoiling you? Because that is where I am at. I am loving it, but I wish I had sent more extras! All I know is always in my room is getting a snail mail thank you at the end of all this.

Today I got some awesome mugs and tea, and they coordinate so well with my current dishes I bust out whenever we have awesome Asian-style food.

This was our version of getting wedding china: soup bowls, dip cups and appetizer plates with blue blossoms. I also have a blue dish with a crane inside and my daughter's mini teacup. Two big blue mugs will be a perfect addition. :)

Those are beautiful dishes, stellato_escuro!

blue and white Japanese pieces are my favorite.  I have a few similar tea mugs in my collection...

btw--I had such a bad year last year that crafting for this swap really helped me through some black days.  I made what I wanted to make, so please don't feel that you need to send me a thank you of any kind!  I loved spoiling you and your family because it made me happy to get away from real life for a bit.  I also cherish everything you sent because you really paid attention to my list...everything is useful, or pretty and like you read my mind! ;D

and mmmmm a cup of matcha would be great today...it is cold, dreary and wet all weekend here...

I updated my spot with new gifts.  I am being seriously spoiled!!! https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=436673.msg5263068#msg5263068

2014 has been the worst year.  I have been dreading spending my first Christmas without my mom and haven't really felt in the holiday spirit at all but this swap has really been making me happy.  I love seeing what everyone is getting and I'm happy my partner is enjoying what I sent.  Oh and I am over the moon with how thoughtful each of my gifts has been.  Everything has been so "me"

Thimbles I am glad you like your wreath and hoopla!  AIMR I totally thought of you while I was stitching that hoop up!

LBABBís-The hand stamped pendant is beautiful!  I love jewelry that has something to do with my kids too!

Quaggy-I love the ornament hanger idea.  I may have to steal that too!

Kbrison-The tags quaggy made are gorgeous!  I donít think I could give those away!  They would be hanging on my tree.  I also adore the wall hanging and of course her hand painted ceramics!

Stella_escuro-The silk scarf is beautiful! The mug rug is PERFECT!

AIMR- I am jealous of that hand carved stamp!  Itís perfect for backgrounds on altered art projects.

Gala- is that ornament wood or clay?  Very nice addition to any tree!

SheridanLA- Those little wreaths are too cute!  My daughter uses sleep masks but I have never tried one.  That one looks like itís ready to party!

Renstar-I love all the felt goodies you have been getting.

Madmommymia-Your boys are going to love that tick tac toe board!  My kids have a felt checker board that we take when we go to out to eat.  Or we did when they were younger anyway.  Now we take Mad Libs!

Lindy, as somebody who has also lost her mother, 8yrs ago this past June, I can tell you that it gets a little easier to accept w/each passing year.  The hurt will always be there, but, it becomes a little easier to bare.  Your mother will always be w/you in spirit, in your heart, and in your memories.  Let the memories wash over you and comfort you.  Your mother may not be physically within your sight, but, her spirit is.  You have my love and my prayers.

if you are using craftster to load your files, it seems that if the picture file has the same name, ie. xxx1.jpg, as another, it loads the same picture.  I have found that I need to rename all of my jpg files before uploading or I keep loading up the same file...this usually happens since my computer uses the same file name but different folders...I have hundreds of xxx1.jpg but on different days.

However, if you then go into craftster photos. the pics are there and sometimes several of the same ones!!  I have had to delete multiples.  This only happens to me if I don't use the craftster picture hosting...just the quickie one at a time thngy in the reply section.

I'm so confused  :-[ I definitely sewed two shoe bags for sheridan. Did I wrap them separately? Did I wrap them seperately and sheridan didn't see one? Did I wrap them seperately and mislabel one with the wrong number? Did I NOT PUT IT IN THE BOX??? Where is it??

In happier news, I friggin love what I received today. It prettily mismatches with like half my wardrobe  :)

Your little man is so cute, stellato!  I am sure he is going to be the cutest in his bowties!  They were so fun to make...you really should try it!  I used clip on earring backs for the clip part...let me know if those work...since I don't have a kid to try them on, I was wondering if they were all that practical...wouldn't the little ones be able to slip them off easily?  Maybe a wrap around kind with a snap would be better...

I am so glad you used your judgement to open your hubby's gift..It really doesn't matter much, does it!?

ha ha I had a blast trying to think of anything for him!  Hope he catches a lot of his own fish so he doesn't have to just have his fake one!  This was my first try at painting and sewing on canvas in 3-D.  I really like it but I am not sure yet how much medium has to be used.  oh well, if it flakes, it will look more antique! ;D

gosh, I love that blue and white garland, lindy...looks like you and my partner decorate in blue and white!

Fnally get to see all the wonderful goodies you received Ffrogg!  Those tags are fabulous!

There are so many cool supplies and kits being posted! I may have to add a few things to my pinterest wishlist Luckily for me, my birthday is in January!

Alwaysinmyroom, I am just happy you like everything. For some reason, I am prone to super high levels is swap anxiety, especially when I am so thrilled with everything.  :P

All I know is I am totally on board for this swap again next year!

Even after all the swaps I have done, I get very anxious about what I send.  I worry most that what I send is out of date or old fashioned, but I try my best to keep up with the ideas and trends here and other places.  I love trying new things, too, but am not always sure they were successful...like that darn trout...painting on canvas is harder than it looks! ;D

I probably won't join next year.  We'll be moving in less than a year and a half.  So, I'm working on downsizing everything.  Downsizing some of my collections, not buying any more craft supplies/only using what I have, giving away extra dishes I don't need, etc.  Packing and moving will probably be mostly on me, as my husband's back has become much, much, much worse.  I WON'T hire a moving company, I don't trust them.  I will probably just focus on making stuffed animals, wooden toys, and play mats to give away to families in need next Christmas.

Title: Re: Mini 12 Days of Christmas - Gallery
Post by: alwaysinmyroom on December 08, 2014 08:17:25 AM
I dread moving, but we are also downsizing now to make things easier...it is hard to gt rid of things, especially if they are still useful!  I don't envy you, gotgrey!

I have moved so many times in my life, so one more should be no big deal.  I am sorry that you had a bad experience with a moving company.  I have been lucky in all of my moves and have had wonderful movers.

I posted my Day 6 and Day 7 goodies!

AIMR, I've never hired a moving company, but, I see a lot of court cases that involve moving companies.  So, I won't hire one.  This will be our last move.  We're hoping to move to the countryside, or maybe a few acres within the city.  Heck, by that time, our youngest son will have graduated high school, and we may move out of state so my husband can get a better job.  I would like to stay close to our youngest son.  He helps out a lot.

I was way behind as my husband just kept getting more and more confused so I finally went into the box and oh my gosh!  It was such a mess!  I don't know what happened in transport between LB&BB's house and mine but half of everything was totally or partially out of its wrapping, half the tags were missing (like, in the box but not attached to the items), and it looks like 3-4 (or so - it's hard to sort out!!) items were missing.

So I got plenty of things, but 4 of my days were (I think) intended as 'extras' - not all little things at all, but just not as many handmade things as I would like.  Worse still, I know LB&BB must be sorry her hard work went to someone else  :'(  But I have invited her to share pictures of the things she made that didn't make it to me so hopefully she can at least still show off her skills!!  ;)

lol In my haste to take pictures and post, I assumed that stellato had sent me beautiful fabric!  It is, in fact, a beautiful infinity scarf!

Unfortunately, I did not take photos of rockmygypsysoul's swap package, and I guess that's just as well.  It would make me even angrier that items I put a great deal of time/money into are gone b/c of the PO.  I really worked hard on this swap, and I'm pretty upset about this.  I keep a swap notebook, so here is a list of what I sent, even if it didn't make it.  I'm sorry.

Here goes:

DAY 1:  A crocheted green wreath, with a rainbow of button colors on it, with a focal button that said "Imagine" to represent rockmygypsysoul's artistic side.
DAY 2:  Another crocheted green wreath, this time with school themed buttons on it to represent her husband, who is a teacher.
DAY 3:  A third crocheted green wreath, this one with paw-print  and bone buttons, and a paw print ribbon to hang it from, to represent her fur babies.
DAY 4:  A chocolate toffee candy bar from Dylan's Candy Bar in NYC.
DAY 5:  Two packs of mint hot cocoa mix
DAY 6:  A pad and pen set
preg_replace('/(.{49})/', '$1 ', '______________________________________________________________________________________')
DAY 7:  A painted, heart-shaped, wood plaque (burgundy and hunter green) with a picture of her and DH from their wedding day mod-podged on it.
DAY 8:  The same thing, but on a rectangle shaped wood plaque, of one of her dogs
DAY 9:  The same thing as above (All the photos were placed on top of scrapbooking paper on the wood...it really looked nice, I thought)
DAY 10:  rockmygypsysoul wanted a set of cards she could use to give to the males in her life (i.e.-DH, uncles, etc...).  I used a marbling technique on the cards that came out great, but my efforts at stamping them were terrible.  (I sent them anyway; hoping that one of the extras could make up for it.)
preg_replace('/(.{49})/', '$1 ', '_______________________________________________________________________________________')
DAY 11:  A long table runner, crocheted out of cotton yarn in blue, turquoise, white, and a variegated yarn, with silver beads sewn across both ends.
DAY 12:  A black/blue/white crocheted lap blanket
preg_replace('/(.{49})/', '$1 ', '________________________________________________________________________________________')
EXTRAS:  A moose & tree themed tablecloth, 4 moose themed placemats, 'Santa' themed travel tissues, "Home is where the heart is" themed pad, emery boards, pen, three small rolls of ribbon, and 2 candy cane pens.
preg_replace('/(.{49})/', '$1 ', '________________________________________________________________________________________')
*The dog themed crafts were wrapped in paw-print themed wrapping paper.
*The gifts were labeled with hand stamped paper tags.

Was the box left out in the rain or near an animal that chewed it or something?  I guess I would feel better if I knew there was a "reason" this happened, as opposed to a PO worker's carelessness....

Oh, I loved what I got!!  I feel so badly that your hard work disappeared into the beyond - even more so because the things you mentioned that didn't make it to me sound so lovely!!!  It's so weird the items that didn't show up - either of the dog plaques (clearly not something that would be helpful or special to anyone else!) but I suppose someone out there is loving that table runner - it sounds AMAZING and so perfect for my home and holiday decor colors!!!

But you did forget about the remembrance plaque for our baby  :-*

I'm so sorry to see your work disappear.  It wasn't out in bad weather or anything - the PO person dropped it on our doorstep and knocked but was already gone by the time I got downstairs to open the door.  But there was no one around, no bad weather, anything.  The tape had come off the center of the box on one end for several inches (maybe 6 or so) - like where the tape was still there but the bottom layer of the box became separated from the top) but the rest was still together.  I could tell when I went to open it that there was at least one gift that had become separated from its wrapping paper so I put the box away.  I had no idea it would be so bad since it still seemed fairly full but maybe that was just from the general commotion of everything.  Given what you've listed, especially with the plaques, it sounds like someone HAD to have actually stuck their hand inside and just pulled some stuff out and ripped other stuff in the process - it wasn't THAT big of an opening for plaques that size (assuming they were the same as the one of Matt and I) to come out on their own, you know?  That just makes me WAY angrier.  I was upset enough when I thought it was an accident but I really am starting to doubt that and that makes me livid.  >:(

BUT I do love what you made me (that I got)!!  The picture of the hubby and I is already up (I love the burlap-looking scrapbook paper!) and Gus is snuggled on me/in my blanket right now!!  I have already enjoyed one of the mint hot chocolates and of course my amazing chocolate toffee bar.  Even the moose and tree tablecloth is in use - our coffee table needs desperately to be repainted (um, for like a year now!) so I've put the tablecloth over it and it's excellent, especially since it fits so well with our color scheme in the living room and ties in my colors with Christmas!!

So I'm so so sorry but hopefully you're enjoying what I sent and know that I love what you made (even the things I don't have  ::))

The rememberance (sp?)plaque for your baby was an extra, I think.  But thank you for reminding me of it.  The poem on there was from a card I received when my beloved Grandma passed.  I still have the card taped to my bedroom mirror.  It reminds me of my Grandma, and also b/c I tell my children that before they were born, they were "stars in the sky".

If you look on the big star that is on the side of the plaque, you'll see that there is literally dozens of star shaped stickers on it...all the "stars in the sky"....

Thank you =) I saw the reindeer On her pinterest and just followed my instinct! They are my first attempt at wirework so I am really pleased with them =)

You must have a natural knack for it...I love the bird one as well

****
Trolling through the gallery---

I have always loved the Purr Kitty song!  Cute!

Lindy--your embroidery is stellar!  The gingerbread man and little tree are so adorable!

The complete embroidery is a nice way to get someone started in a wonderful craft.  Very generous!

omg--the redone nutcracker is fabulous!  I am going to dig out the ones I leave in the attic to rot and see if I can transform them (I am not a nutcracker fan...they sort of remind me of clowns...)

love the travel shoe bags...good idea...I think I will add that to my list of gifts to make for my sister and SIL...we are traveling together in May

gotgrey--those tins are wonderful!  And what a fabulous job you did on the painted snowmen glasses!  Too funny!

LBABB--what a lovely memorium for your partner's angel baby!  The story on the stars was so nice!

Here I am wearing my new infinity scarf!

hey guys,

i had to travel a bit, just got home yesterday.. and I cannot take pictures on everything yet, as my son is running around (and there are cute things for him!), but I've uploaded 2 more super-awesome things here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=436673.msg5268380#msg5268380
I hope, Ren (my partner) loves everything as much as I do :)

The hand carved stamps are divine.  I could use a Queen Bee one myself!
The undead Nutcracker is fabulous!
I am a notetaker too and should probably start adding neat pads with covers like that to my wishlists!
The rememberance ornament is very lovely.
Oh those stuffed Santa's and Kitties are great!  My daughter would love the cute kittens!
That blue beaded ornament is gorgeous!  Ratfinkz does great things with tiny beads.
That Smurf hat is ADORABLE!
Thanks for the actions shot with the scarf AIMR!  It looks great on you.

Sheridan, I noticed you hung it mis-matchy side out. That's the way I'd do mine too  ;D But just in case you want something calmer, the backside is all done in the same fabric, and it matches the bias tape top.

Lindy - the poncho is wool.  :)  I got the material from Mood!  As a long time devotee of Project Runway, that was super fun.  :)   You may not need it until you're in the depths of your winter.  Or you could come visit Michigan and wear it immediately.  ;D  I was also unsure of the neck opening.  I'm afraid I made it too large, so you may need to whip stitch it a bit on either side!

Also, I thought the poncho was day 11, so now I have NO idea what day 11 actually is.  ;D  I have it written down somewhere.

Forgot to comment on the Adams Family peg people--love them!

The poncho will be perfect for cool nights, lindy!

I need those ribbon trees to add to my collection!  Is there a tutorial on how they are made?

Nice collection of notecards--and the ideas for ornaments are just incredible!  Definitely need to add some of those to my list for next Christmas!

batik fabrics*swoon*...I can see some beautiful projects in your future, gotgrey!

I am caught up through Day 11...sort of sad that tomorrow is the last day, but at least I can keep seeing everyone's fabulous stuff as well! ;D

Keep the pictures coming, everyone!

I need those ribbon trees to add to my collection!  Is there a tutorial on how they are made?

I cut ribbon to 4 inch or so lengths and used straight pins to put them on a styrofoam cone...then I made loops to make the top.  No glue, just pins!

What a huge and beautiful crochet blanket!

I also missed the NOEL hoop!  Just gorgeous!

I am also sad that I started Dec. 1, but I love that I am decorating with my new items.

I am trying to learn some napkin folding for Christmas dinner since I now have enough for everybody with my Day 11 giftie! ;D

Stellato--your children are the sweetest!  I am glad that your daughter liked her fish garland...it was so fun to make!  I love googly eyes! ;D

I am like you:  I love fingerless mitts...I have several pairs since my office is cold.

I really loved the colors in the fabric for that pillow...I was going to paint my house using those colors, but since we are prepping the house for sale, we are going for a lot more neutral...I saved a bit of the fabric to make myself a small pillow in case our next house can be painted in these colors! ;D

As a side note, I had no idea that napkin folding was such an art!  I have decided on a pattern that I am going to use for Christmas dinner.  I'll take pictures of them on Christmas day...I think my family will either be impressed or not notice at all... ;D.

Love the colorful Miss Barbara wreath!  Wonderful for a classroom!

lindy--I think you singlehandedly have convinced me that I need a Silhouette for Christmas...those fox cards are just fabulous!!!

Eager for LB&BB to open Day 12 and hope she loves it as much as I did - it was hard to part with!! :'(  I also hope she gets a great picture because mine suck  :D

Also, I love how she interpreted the triptych - as a love story.  I had envisioned it this way (excuse the mess) - the two canoodling birds are she and DH while the little ones on the bottom are DDs and one about to fly is DS.  I think it's wonderful either way and I really love, love, love that she could see a whole different thing with it!  <3

Quaggy was such a sweetheart to post photos for me since I've unexpectedly had to be out-of-town since Friday morning because of an urgent family medical situation. She did miss a few things though (or was being much too modest), so I've added them to my original posting. Get those pinning fingers ready. Quaggy is such a talented and generous person that I know I'm not the only one who loves what she crafts. And the stained glass church she sent lights up so this is what it looks like when lit.

Well, I know this time of year is crazy busy for everyone, especially those with kids!

I am sure my partner is one of those people...I think I will just wait until after the New Year to see if more pictures are posted.

Title: Re: Mini 12 Days of Christmas - Gallery

People should most definitely have all of their pictures up. Busy time of year or not, it was in the guidelines when everyone first signed up. When people work so hard on their crafting and send it off, it is only fair and respectful to post the pictures of the the received items.

I wonder if next year we should have a deadline for pictures and if they aren't up by that date then it will be noted in their feedback.

I think it's also ok for people to post pics of the items sent if their partner hasn't, isn't it?

This is what I can remember of what I sent my partner, that hasn't been posted.  Wooden cutting board that I wood burned the silhouette of a sitting black cat, a towel that I drew a silhouette of a black cat on, a small doily I made/it's purple w/black cats and black lace edging and I quilted it, a wooden red cardinal ornament I painted, a wooden bird ornament I painted.  4 or 5 wooden snowflake ornaments that I painted blue, then I painted the names of each one of her cats on each ornament.  I sent a vintage Santa mouse ornament, a vintage gold metal Christmas ornament, and on  4 or 5 mugs I drew each one of her cats, and put their names under the picture.  I think there was more, I just can't remember, and I didn't take pics, because I didn't know how to get pics off of my phone and onto the computer until after I had sent.

I use to pour my own ceramics and fired them in my kiln.  Short stiory sold it all prior to finding craftster.  He is about 18 inches tall or so and about 3 to 4 inches wide.  I sold everything prior to finding crafster and have been thinking about buying another kiln, everybody needs more hobbies.  I have a storage room with bisque I saved that I knew one day I would paint.  Since finding crafster I have done several things.  Last year I esent a santa by a wood stove that was lighted to look like the stove was burning.  I sent Lindy a welcome plaque with inserts for the season.  I call it down sizing my stash of bisque.

I made Holistic Knitter a diamond peyote bracelet as her last item. It was the most intricate I have ever made and I was really pleased with it but unfortunately I was packing in too much of a rush to take a pic so I really hope she does post a pic! :)

AIMR, zigg moved before she sent.  I did PM her today, and asked her nicely to post the rest of the stuff.  I told her I didn't take pics.  I know how to get the photos from my phone, to my computer now.  I finally got my guys to teach me how, after I had sent.

We are home from the hospital and have a healthy baby girl.  I think I have three pictures left I have to post and I will do that this afternoon.  My favorite most likely is the hooded baby snuggler I got on Day 11!  Anyway, rantyhippie, thanks again! I promise to finish my post this afternoon post feeding and a warm bath (still lots of cramping on my part)!

CabinArts!!!  wow--those were pretty awesome gifts!  I loved all of the matching fleece bags and pouches!

Also, that Celtic symbol bag was wonderful!

The redwork embroidery was also pretty!

So glad you posted...I would hate to miss seeing what everyone was working so hard on for these last few months!

Congrats madmommymia!  CabinArts, I love everything you sent!   Quaggy is quite the artist.  I was the proud recipient of the Santa Claus by the stove in last year's mini 12 Days of Christmas swap.  I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of glad this swap is over with.  It ended up being a stressful swap for me this year.  The stress took the place of the joy.  I should not have let that happen, but, it did.

Okay, so I was a bad partner...I totally thought I had posted my last package and I had not. BUT luckily, my partner noticed and I have remedied that. I did post the pics at the end of my post on page one, but I wanted to share it here again so everyone can see it!

Alwaysinmyroom made an awesome Christmas table runner for me! I unwrapped it and immediately used it and have been using it a ton since then. I plan on not packing it away with the Christmas stuff until winter is totally over. :)

This was such a great swap, and I think I got the best partner ever. :)

lol sorry it was not blue and white...I just had to do something in more traditional colors after all of the other blue and white stuff! ;D

What a beautiful family table you have!  I hope you and your family enjoyed the holidays as much as mine did!

I think our match up was wonderful...

Thanks to our hostesses!

Thank you, guys!  I failed to make my own table runner so it is on my list to do for this Christmas...I might do the same one for myself since I love candy canes!

lol I think I have my project list for this Christmas from all the things I pinned...I have already made the Santa wreath that lindyv made...I just loved so many things!
