That's beautiful. I always think of "Flanders Field" when I see poppies.

That is beautiful.  The solider and poppy fields is such a striking image.  Good luck with your project!

I always forget the important bits: this is 12cm square and the soldier and poppies were painted using Glassline paints.

this is beautiful. the colours are quite striking.
the detail on the soldier is amazing - - and the shadow is very well executed.

I don't know anything about how this was produced - layers, colour mixing, etc - but it seems to be very well done to me. Beautiful work!

I forgot to post a picture of the completed project. It has been displayed in various places in the area in which I live. It was made for a commemorative event where it was seen by the Mayor of Thurrock who asked me to place a display in his parlour (the area where the councilors meet before and after formal meetings and where he has private meetings with individuals and groups). After this it was displayed in a local church as part of the Thurrock Art Trail.
