Title: English Muffins
Post by: Calabaza on August 07, 2013 09:13:14 AM

One thing Craftster means to me is going going for it. A while ago I saw this recipe (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=403142.0) for English muffins posted from King Arthur Flour. The directions were for use with a bread machine which I don't have. Instead of moaning about not having that piece of equipment- okay, after moaning - I went for it. With a few tweaks it worked!

Mmmmmm!

Just mix all the ingredients together (oh, I didn't use bread flour either) and let rise until about doubled. Proceed as directed!

You can also make a Sherlock-themed tea box to go with your muffins. :)

Cherrio!

Thanks, ladies!

Yum! Gotta love an English muffin.  Now how can you share? ;)
Ah, that is a bit of a challenge.  :D You should totally try the recipe yourself, though! It's pretty easy and very forgiving. I seem to mess up somehow every single time I make them and it still has always worked!

We make these for Easter gifts :) we make the mix up till rising point and then add blueberry and lemon (for sweet muffins)
And parmasan and sun dried tomato for savoury ones.
Mmmmmmmm

Thanks!
Alas, this batch is all eaten up now so sampling is impossible even if you did live across town. Maybe next time  ;)
