Title: Seija question - changing colours
Post by: roxxerz on August 13, 2012 04:38:46 AM
Hey, I'm pretty new to crochet, figured HH was a good place to start! I am expecting my first baby in December and want to get some things crafted up before then. Seija looks pretty easy, can't go wrong with a big pile of dc, eh! The only issue I have is when changing colours. I've never really gotten it. The pattern says to fasten off and join next colour. Should I be finishing with a sl st then crocheting into the top of the last complete stitch with the new colour? Or should it be like the tapestry crochet that Stoller describes at. The start, where you just crochet over the long tail of the first colour? Any advice appreciated! The pictures in the book and here are so neat and flat, but the miniature sample I made didn't look so neat at all!
