Title: beaded fabric necklaces + tutorial link
Post by: julibooli on April 03, 2012 10:23:25 AM

These necklaces are an easy project that donít require much skill. The only sewing required is one long, straight seam. This project is also great for using up a scrap of a special fabric that you donít want to toss out. It can be done in a group, possibly with sewing the tubes beforehand (do the turning together!) and also makes a great Burning Man gift.

I use cut up Mardi Gras beads for mine.

I'm sure most of you can figure out the process just by looking at the finished product, but I made a tutorial on my blog--there are a ton of pictures and uploading them here would take forever. http://madebyjulianne.com/?p=3701 (http://madebyjulianne.com/?p=3701)

What a great idea! I love how they can be made without chains too, cause fabric is so convenient for my super sensitive skin haha (: I think they would definitely make great festival gifts, and thanks for the tutorial!

What a great way to use up those cheap beads, your finished pieces are very pretty.

These are great! I love the way fabric and chain look together.
