Title: Slate & driftwood tapestry weaving
Post by: Trekky on March 28, 2012 01:20:27 PM
I have recently been on a course looking at weaving without a conventional loom.  It was a great chance to try new ideas, and incorporate natural objects.  This sample is made from slate, driftwood and coloured warp.  The weft is made from the same coloured warp.

C&C welcome  :)

Thank you!  :D

I have some other samples from the class, I shall take some photos and share.  The classes were with Louise Martin (http://www.louisemartintapestry.com/), who is a fantastic weaver (and tutor!).  Her website has some amazing images.

very cool, I really like the fiber weaving juxtaposed with the natural hard elements!
