Title: A Stork Bassinet
Post by: chek101 on February 08, 2012 06:14:47 PM
I made this bassinet for my first grand daughter. It was built strong so no need to worry it would collapse. However the leery could use it for baby gifts. Took me a day to make.

That is quite possibly the coolest bassinet on earth.

Why thank you!! Baby Victoria looked amazing in it. I lost my photos of her in it when my other computer crashed.  My son keeps telling me he will email me some ... still waiting!!!!

Woah!! I so LOVE this! This rocks! (hitting the button) If I had been so fortunate to have a crib like this for my babies, it would've become an instant heirloom! Its beautiful x

Thank you hon, Jerusalem will take a while mostly because I frit around doing other things that often distract me from working on it. It IS an involved piece! Will post updates  tho as it progresses.

I am posting some pics under Misc since I don't see a specific catergory for them as I like building things, working with wood, too.

This may be the cutest baby item I have ever seen!  What is it made of?  I love it!

It's made of half inch plywood doubled for extra strength, the legs are tripled up. When I build something, I have a tendency to overbuild it. Those legs might look gangly, but they are really quite strong.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment.

Thank you so much!! It was a fun project to make and really not at all as complicated as it looks. I made it in a single day, morning really, because I had to have it ready for the baby shower that day. The idea only hit that morning so I had to work really fast to get it done in time.

Thanks again!
