Title: Fancy new skirt from old jeans [IMG HVY]
Post by: Schlörte on September 04, 2011 07:59:44 AM
I had an old pair of jeans left. So I thought, "Why do not sew a skirt from it?"

I love my new skirt!

First I cut the pants along the inseam.

Then I cut the pants to the appropriate length.
Thus the skirt later is not so tight, I decided to sew a front Godet (triangle).

I've sewn the godet and cut off the excess residue.

For the ruffle I cut a broad strip of colorful fabric.
Then I folded the strips lengthwise (wrong side of the inside) and sewn it together. This finished strip I evenly distributed in large ruffles on the hem, pinned and sewed.

What do you say?
CC welcome.

The ruffle is super cute! It really brightens it up. I might have to do that to one of my jean skirts! :)
