Title: Angel Wings Sushi Plates
Post by: CrazyEyeGlass on November 15, 2010 01:24:52 PM
I started these in class and finished them up at home. I actually made a mistake when firing them the second time to put the angel wings with dichroic accents on the prefused base plates--I meant to dimensionally fuse them, but forgot and did a full fuse. I worried all night that they would come out of the kiln fused to each other and looking like a blob. I'm so happy they turned out!

The angel wings were cut out using a Taurus 3 Ring Saw, and the dichroic bits were cut up using mosaic cutters.

Enjoy!

They did come out really nice.  One thing I've seen with Sushi plates that add to them are chopstick holders.  Most are small blocks of glass with a dimple in the middle to keep the chopsticks from rolling off.
