I received from the amazing najaorama today!

Prepare to be jealous!

First we have a huge amount of fimo!Stamp pads, stamps (love the floral one!), decorative scissors, glitter, ribbon and a cute leaf paper punch.

This photo shows all the mat stacks that were included as well as card blanks and envelopes. The far east pack is my fave :D

Next all of the 12x12 papers, including a full stack :o Also cool stickers and stamps and origmai paper to make dolls. I am going to try a few of these this evening, my husband even wants to try, i will be sure to post our attempts when they are done.

And lastly we have brads, a paris stencil, patterned felt, sticky dots and possibly my favorite of all (well it was hard to decide!) is all the cut outs of various things includng birds, postcards and even a mason jar! Naja also included a beautiful card that can be seen bottom left.

I have no doubt missed something but I love it all and my mind is on overdrive thinking of all the possibilities!

Thanks so much najaorama ;D

I'm going to have the warm fuzzies all day.

They look like either punches or an eyelet punch and setting kit.

Post by: amber565 on September 23, 2010 05:44:47 PM
So glad you like everything, and yeah that tool is a hole punch/eyelet setter. There are different sizes so by changing the tips (they screw on & off the metal shaft) you can work with different sizes. You just put it where you want and hit then top end with a hammer to punch a hole. The little black mat is to protect your surface....I always did it on the ground since it's kinda noisy on the table. The tips with the little star on the end will set eyelets. And I just realized I shouldn't have sent that bag of stuff marked Extra...that was for another hole punch tool that I already gave away, so just throw that away!

wow! both those packages look awesome :)
I obviously covet the supplies, but I'm trying to keep my papercrafting supplies down to the one box I have...
Although those packages could lead to some unhealthy internet shopping ;p (unhealthy for my de-cluttering anyway)
:)

Another awesome package received.  You givers are a generous bunch.  Bravo!

BTW, if you are a needer in this swap you may have noticed that I am now keeping track of the date you should mail your thank you gift in the first post of this thread.  As a veteran of OWS, I know how fast two weeks can fly by.  Just trying to keep the date in the forefront of your mind.   ;D

Look what I got from GamerGirl!!!

It barely fit in the box, it exploded out when I opened it b/c there was so much in there!

I got a TON of fabric, much of it is big pieces, some scraps as well which I can use (I've already made some snack bags with the cupcake print today).  There are a bunch of fat quarters as well, and even star wars fabric!   All of it is fun, bright colors, just what I love to use.  There is even some holiday fabric in there, bats for halloween and penguins for christmas - maybe my 3yr old will get some new shirts....

Also there is some big peices of vinyl - this is perfect for the soles of baby shoes that I make, a pile of zippers (nice ones too!), some ribbon/rick rack and bias tape, fusi web (I need a bunch of this so Im stocking up, planning on a quilt...),  and a BIG bag of buttons that I can use for my little kids pea coats I've been making.

There was a big, almost full bag of stuffing in there too, but Levi ran off with it b/c he wanted to make a pillow.  (don't worry, I caught him before he pulled all of it out of the bag and spread it on his bed...)

Thanks for such a perfect package, everything in there is stuff I can use and I already have projects in mind!

I received an amazing package from crimsonjade. There is so much here. And I can use every bit of it.

First off, she sent a whole bunch of yarn. I always need yarn.

She sent 3 books. 2 are 'easy knits', which is perfect, as I am just learning to knit. The other is a crochet book. I can't wait to use this one. Crochet is my "main" craft.
There are also tons of knitting needles and crochet hooks, embroidery hoops, and dominoes to use for resin pendants.

Now for the part that really floored me. Resin molds. A whole bunch of them. I didn't even know they made this many different types. I tried to get some molds at my local craft store and they only had 1. I can't tell you how excited I am. I'm still a beginner at resin. I look forward to experimenting with all of them.

Thank you so much!!!!! Obviously nothing I send can match what you sent, but I hope you like my thank you gift.

wow!! I am loving those resin molds.  That is what I also asked for, and my giver said she had some to get rid of so I am *really* excited to play with them when they arrive!

Okay, guys, I am one of Spotnik's five packages, and I just received about twenty minutes ago.

I am absolutely floored.  Such amazing generosity.  I've had a really horrendous week what with school, a sucky job, some issues with my meds...basically I just have been in a very "woe is I" attitude and your package literally made me want to cry.  Such beautiful stuff, and so much of it.

On to pictures!  (You'll have to ignore my room, I don't clean haha)

First off, this AMAZING piece of brocade, draped over my twin bed for size comparison.

I couldn't get a decent close-up, but it's got cocks and dragons on it and it's wonderful.

Then, what I think is flannel.  Correct me if I'm wrong, still learning my fabric types.

It's so cute!

Then some one-sided velvety stuff (?)

And then...THIS!  It's HUGE!

It could easily stretch all the way across my dorm room.  I draped it over my head and it fell down in a huge pile in front of and behind me.  I'm 5'3", so it's more than ten feet long.  I've never had a fabric piece that large before, and of something so beautiful!

There were two(!) more pieces, one smaller section of purple cotton that I think will make a cute purse/wallet, and an even larger chunk of a heavier, silky beige something with blue pinstripes.  I'd give you pics, but my camera batteries died and I was too excited to wait to post.

THANK YOU SO MUCH SPOTNIK!  I am over the moon.

I am so silly, I didn't even find the Gallery for this swap til today!  What wonderful packages are making their way to their new homes.  I hope to get my last package out this weekend!
 ;D

Yay! I am SO glad you like everything writer_crafter, and that it made your day better. :)  I am so happy it got there so quickly, and the challenge I set for myself was to see how much I could stuff in a large flat rate box  :D

As far as the large pieces, I have a tendency to buy lots and lots of fabric when I am in love with it.  Also, I am a big girl, so it takes lots of fabric to make clothes for me.  LOL!

And yes, the eskimos are flannel.

Take care of yourself, ok?   :-*

i received from spotnik yesterday!  she was indeed a generous giver.  i only took photos of the fabric all folded up but each piece had quite a bit of yardage in it.

the two on the left are sort of shiny like asian inspired prints (LOVE), the bottom piece is a neat heavy weight slightly fuzzy paisley print, then there is the super cool fern print fabric and the heavy gray fabric that reminds me of the fabric that dress pants are made of...and indeed they may become dress pants as there is certainly plenty of it.

the black fabric on the right is sort of sheer and very light weight...maybe it will become a dress or dressy poncho (again gobs and gobs of it; i could prob make both a dress and poncho!), the colorful dog print is cotton and will be used in my upcoming kids projects (i think it would look cute for crayon wallets and any scraps would be fab for the start to an ISPY quilt), the two remaining fabrics are perfect for a friend of mine.  I am thinking for the top left, it will become a poncho and the bottom right will become a small handbag!

Thanks so much spotnik!

I received from spotnik today too.  What a great package!  Thanks you so much.  My yarn stash was pretty sad but this package just made it fantastic.

You did manage to stuff every inch of the large flat rate box.

She sent me yarn and what great yarn!  It's all really nice blends of wools, rayons, and cottons.  I love the colors...lots of natural and earthy tones.
Here it all is...

These are some of my favorites.
These viscose and rayon hand dyed in Nepal.  The viscose has an interesting texture that will be fun to play with.

These are amazingly soft wool blend and the colors are fantastic.  I just want to stroke them.

I received a few days ago from zilamonster and it came on a day when I was feeling so ill and to get all this stuff cheered me up so much and I am amazed at how generous zilamonster was, to send such a heavy loaded box overseas, it's so kind and much appreciated- so thank you so much!  :-*

So here are all the goodies:

And some close ups of the paper stuff including some sticky back mat stacks, which I don't think we can get over here and a HUGE stack of Christmas scrapbook paper which will be put to use immediately for scrapbooking and Xmas crafting!  :)

I also got a book on buttons, which is so useful because I have a lot of vintage buttons and just flicking through this I have seen many that I recognise already! Also some photo corners, sticky tape and my first ever rubber stamps which I love so much and have been stamping a ton of papers to use as backgrounds already!

And now the fabrics which are all so 'me' and they are all really big pieces and have replenished my dwindling stash nicely, and will be used to make Christmas gifts with I think. I love them all so much and was so excited to get some Amy Butler fabric! I've never had such nice fabrics before!  ;D

And some thumbnail close ups (my favourite is the one with the mushrooms and fairies!)

(https://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=395491) (https://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=395493) (https://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=395490) (https://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=395492) (https://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=395494)

OK, here's the pics of the goodies I sent to margiej :)  She's in my same state, so I was able to load up a 12x12x8 box and ship it for less than the cost of a large flat rate box!

Behold!!

Loads of fabric, patterns, thread, quilter's frame, embroidery floss, precut fabric rectangles, magazines, precut postage squares, tracing pencil, misc fat quarters and fabric cuts, bobbin box.  Oh, and there's also a quilt label software CD, seeing as I do not quilt, I figured it would be fun for you!  There should be plenty here to keep you and your granddaughter busy for a while.  Enjoy!

I hope HippieKender will be receiving soon as well :)  She has a camera, so I didn't take pics, hope you enjoy your goodies too.  I tried to fit in a little bit of everything for crafts for everyone in your family.

TSM, all I can say is Wow!  Wow!  Wow!  Fantastic!  I can't wait to get my box of goodies, especially now that I see what all is in it!  I've been sacked out on the couch in front of tv (asleep) all evening, If I'd known the pictures were up I would have been glued to this computer instead!  That is a wonderful, generous lot of stuff!  Thank you so much!

The g-darn-cutest owl embroidery ever. I love the colors. I have hung it in my craft room for inspiration. A hand made card using some of the stuff I gave her and
dum da dum
A SEAM RIPPER!

Thank you for the thank you.  ;)
I think this swap is the best idea ever!

Adorable embroidery Craftsy!  :)

Well today is mail out day, unless you live in Australia where it is a postal holiday (sorry you two) and I haven't heard from many many people.  So remember to PM me and your partner when you have sent.  Thank you!

I received an absolutely ginormous package of goodies this afternoon from The Sapphire Moon, and it was so much fun going through it!  I Love it all!  And it is all stuff I will really use, especially the huge bag of thread!  Which I hate to buy now that Walmart doesn't have the bargain thread anymore (Boo! Boo!)  I bought 2 spools last month for over $5.00!!!!  Which it just irks me no end to have to pay that much for thread!  >:( >:(  sorry for the rant!  Thank you Sapphire Moon so very much! :-* :-* :-*

I received my most amazing package from TheSapphireMoon today!  She probably had to sit on the box to get it shut, not to mention all the tetris-like skills to get everything in there in the first place! :D Be prepared for picture overload...

Here is almost everything all together (I had left 2 books out of the pic, they were still downstairs where I was looking through them)

Ignore the awesome 80's comforter. ;)

More detailed pics:
First up is the fabric.  TSM you did a wonderful job!  There's something for everyone, even my son!

Oh, and even MORE fabric!!

And some awesome patterns

Elastic, snaps, sewing needles, beautiful straight pins, and zippers!

Electric scissors and a loop puller

Trims, lace, even more snaps!

Velcro and a bag of tiny squares (postage stamp size?) Maybe I will make a tiny doll quilt :) (if i learn to quilt, that is)

And three books! Aleene's Craft Quickies, Rip It (reconstruct clothing, yay!) and a tatting pattern book (for my new tatting obsession which TSM has enabled ;)  )

My daughter was trying to steal my new crafty books

Thank you so so so so much TSM!  You really spoiled me rotten!!  I feel like it's Christmas in October :D

I'm so glad you like everything, HK :)  I've been able to stash out enough between my 2 partners and donating some outdated polyester double knits, scary 80s patterns, and other misc goods that I've FINALLY freed up a wall in my office.  It was hidden behind bags, boxes and piles of stuff.

I rec'd my thank you today from rlynn - it is the most adorable owl wristlet.  I am currently squiring my mom around town (until early next week - ugh), and won't have any time to get a good daylight photo of Mr. Owl until after she leaves.  I'll post as soon as I can rlynn!!  Although if you post pics it won't bother me at all.

I'm so glad you like your thank you gift!  Thank YOU for your generosity.  I am so excited to use the fabric you sent in various projects I have lined up!

I will go ahead and post pics since they are already uploaded on my computer.

A note of disclosure.  This owl wristlet is almost entirely inspired by an owl wristlet Spotnik has on her wists.  I did however, by necessity (I didn't have enough scrap vinyl), make it a tad smaller and I added the 2 layer button eyes.  That was almost out of necessity as well, I didn't think I could sew vinyl circles through that many layers of vinyl and make it look decent.  I have a lot of buttons and thought these two were the perfect size.

FRONT

BACK where the zipper is inserted

Again, I am glad to know you enjoy the gift!

Received my large flat rate box that was absolutely stuffed from Rymeswithorange.

First patterns. I love the dress and can't wait to make it (knowing me I'll finish just in time for our first snow :P

Then some notions: magnet closures for purses, thread, ricrac, elastic, and a zipper (do you see the kitty paw?)

Then two awesome sewing books. When I am stuck creatively I go to Borders and flip through their sewing books. I have checked both of these out and now I own them :D :D :D :D Save This Shirt actually comes with a t-shirt! I am also working on a project re-purposing my old clothes and these have already given me great ideas.

And last but by no means least fabric. And these aren't scraps. It's yardage of fabric.
I don't remember mentioning this but I love dragonflies and there eare two fabrics with dragonflies. But my favorit fabric has to be the tomatoes or are they citrus? Doesn't matter I love the colors. I can't wait to get sewing.

Thank you so much.

I received from froggmomma!  Excuse the photo quality, my camera is wonky and I had to take pictures using my laptop.

This was such a thrilling package to open!  Froggmomma sent a wide variety of supplies and it all fits with some craft ideas I had in some way or another.

I've been busy reading through these books since I picked up my parcel this past Sunday.  "Hippy Crafts" has some really good ideas (I've spent most of my time reading that one), as does the "Crafts" magazine.  I had no idea it existed but I'm tempted to get a subscription now.  All of the crafts listed in there are ones I've never tried before so I may have to continue building on my supply wishlist now.  The kids magazine will be awesome for winter crafting with the kids this winter and there is also a spiritual reader for them too.  And there is a Guide to Houseplants.

Next comes the assortments of wood/glass beads and bangles, hemp, and yarn.  I also received some webbing but didn't notice it was out of range.

Chinese brocade fat quarters!  I'm tempted to make sleep pillows with them.

More fat quarters!

And the longer length fabrics!  I'm especially liking the yellow one and the orange one in the second row, and the striped one down below.

Thank you froggmomma!  I was not expecting such a large parcel, especially out of country, but it's really appreciated!

There is no note with it all so let me know which wool is what.. as I wont be able to tell :D

Alrighty! FINALLY posting pics from my amazingly awesome package from atsuko! Please bear with me, new digi camera and 7 year old computers hooked up to our TV make photo editing programs difficult!

First of all, let me say that all of these cuts of fabric were very generous. Like, 1 to even 3 yards for most pieces, which is really great for me because that's what I am short on-- I have lots of fat quarters and such, but I was really needing some new fabrics, and to get yardage was such a blessing.

From left to right, a pretty grass green cotton, 2 yards of super cute printed corduroy, and a gorgeous deep green velour-type fabric. Picture definitely doesn't do it justice here

Home decor weight pretty print, another shade of green cotton (I use a LOT of green, so that's perfect!), and a pretty flannel print

Gorgeous red floral print that needed its own picture--- I've never made clothing, but this makes me really want to make something wearable out of it.

Pretty, vintage piece. It's so delicate.

Last but certainly not least, interfacing!!!!

All weights and sizes.

And because she's totally awesome (it's true), atsuko made me five pairs of beautiful earrings and a pendant. I LOVE them!

I have already worn three pairs since opening my box on Monday!  :D I am an earrings girl, it's rare to see me without them. I wear scrubs that are blue and brown on Tuesdays, and have never had a pair of earrings that went with them just right. Until now.

Thank you sooo much, you were so generous, I love everything. :)

I gave the Box to my friend today!  I told her last night about her surprise, but wouldn't tell her what it was.  She hates when I do that.  I love it.. :D   Anyway,  She says it will all go to good use!

There's a bit of clothing appropriate materials, all in nice chunks too!  All of them more then 1 a meter, some a lot more then a meter, it's awesome!  And some kid type fabric.  Which she just told me the other day she wants to learn how to quilt, so she's got the makings of a few good lap quilts there too!

Pictures!
Here She is cutting into the box (with the pretty tape :))

All the goods lain out:

One happy sewing newb! (okay, she's not so much a newb, as someone who hasn't done a lot of sewing in the recent past, and didn't have a stash.  Now she does!)

Thank you so much Chris Sews!!

I received from princess blueberry  a couple days ago, and let me say, she is AWESOME! She sent me soooo much! :D
First off, the box pretty much exploded when I opened it. It was so packed with stuff, and so heavy!

All the lovely yarn; it's super soft!

An awesome little soap making starter kit! I've always wanted to learn how to do this! Looks like the family is getting some wonderful soap for Christmas this year! lol

A very interesting beeswax candle kit and a loofah.

Lots of embroidery floss, hurray!

a LOT a beads, it's like the bead soup swap all over again!

I could not get a good enough pic of these, no matter how hard I tried. but I LOOOOVVVE the dolphin beads!!! They are some of the favorite beads she sent!

A close up of some SUPER cute 'pony' beads!

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH PRINCESSBLUEBERRY! I feel super spoiled!

Could everybody please take a look at the first page of this thread and see if you are up to date.  I just went through every post of the gallery and checked every DC or tracking number I had been given and did those updates.  I have to say that while most of you have been awesome about PMing with updates, a lot of you have not.  It takes 5 seconds to PM "I received from fill in the blank" or I sent to fill in the blank today".  Spare a thought to your poor organizer and her extreme lack of free time.   ;D

I feel so lucky that I got guacaMolly as my swap partner.  Needless to say, I totally got spoiled!!  I got a lot of watch parts, dials, faces, hands, which is perfect for my first attempt at a steampunk project.  And, of course, the glass vials - my favorite!!  These also came with a card with a lovely note inside.  My sister got really jealous when she saw what I got.  ;D Hehe, don't worry, I'll share.....maybe. :P  Thank you so much guacaMolly!!  :D

Various trims saftey eyes beads bows ribbon and some awesome buttons!

My dolly with her new stuff. There was also a really cool doll sized 8 ball glasses and pumpkin but those pics have also vanished.

Things I am totally jealous of: all the craft books & magazines, resin molds!, watch parts... and of course any cool fabric. But I try to avoid coveting that (I already have a ton!)

Just received my thank-you gift from craftaddiction:

A hand-carved stamp of my favourite dog breed (Siberian Husky)!
I don't usually use stamps so I had to dig around to see if I still had an inkpad...and judging from the result of said inkpad...looks like I might need to get a new one  :P

Thanks craftaddiction!

OK So I received an Awesome package to day from HappieHina I love everything and she gave ma a bucket load of sculpy which I am just ecstatic to have. I can't get it here and the last time I drove to the capital of BC it cost me about $10 for a small package. And then there is the yarn, my daughter and I both squealed at the selection my daughter ran off with some of the pink fuzzy stuff, cause well she LOVES PINK and fuzzy, lol. Thank you again.

Sorry for the crappy picture, my daughter hid my camera which had the good pictures so I had to borrow her camera for this picture. I shall post the other pics once I find MY camera.

HappieHina Thank you Again :D Your gift will be in the mail on Monday. I really Hope you like it!

I am so glad you like it!  It didn't even make a dent in my craft supplies, and these were all things I was no longer using.  In fact, the knitting needles were my sister's but she moved to New Zealand and left them here and I don't knit, so I am glad they are going to get some use.

I received a FANTASTIC package on Friday, but I just picked it up from the post office last night.

Here is the whole package.  I got spoiled with stuff for resin jewelery and learning embroidery.  Two things I am really excited to try!  There were also some chocolates, but somehow they didn't make it into the photo ;)

A close up of the embroidery stuff.  A hoop, some thread, plastic bobbins to store the thread and a box of embroidery by Jenny Hart of sublime stitching.  The box contains a book, patterns, a hoop and thread.  I am so excited to read through the book and try some of the stitches in the book.

Lots of stuff to get me going on resin jewelery.  Cups, bottles, molds, glitter, sprinkles and best of all instructions!

And finally, I got a super cute resin heart ring.  I have already worn it!

Thank you soooo much I Sew Cute  I LOVE it all, and feel very spoiled.  Now I have to work on a super special thank you gift.

Here's my TOTALLY AWESOME thank you gift from margiej....yes, this is WAY over a small or medium thank you :D

Peasant top and HUGE patchwork tiered twirly skirt.  Sorry, no action shots other than this still frame circle...my love does NOT know how to use my camera and the features on it, hell, I'm surprised she got this one mostly in focus :P

The skirt has been a long time coming as a personal swap from margie.  She had made one for another craftster as part of an organized swap, and got behind on things so mine went on the back burner, no biggie, but this swap came around and we were lucky to get paired up so I said if she wanted to finish it as a thank you present that would be fine.  Margie and I originally started off with the personal swap being one sided, as she didn't want me to send anything in return...so I thought what better way to hold up my end of something (I just don't like someone sending me a gift and not getting something in return!) than to spoil her hugely with a massive box of goodies :)

The peasant top is actually made from some of the fabric I sent to her!  How totally cool :)  It has a very small floral pattern in tone on tone, hence you can't see it looking like anything but off-white in the photo.

I have the skirt draped over a rolling garment rack that I use for my non-dryer clothing on wash day and it looks like a quilt would on a display rack...truly a work of art!  Thanks again!

Post by: margiej on October 17, 2010 04:19:09 PM
Haha, glad you like it!  I really enjoyed making the skirt and the top.  Those skirts do go pretty fast sewing them up.  It doesn't look much like a rainbow in the picture, as I used fabrics on hand, should have been choosier I guess.  Hope you get lots of use out of it!  The top looks a bit large, just open a binding seam and draw the elastic up a bit and it will fit better.

Title: Re: Givers and Needers Round 8 Gallery
Post by: TheSapphireMoon on October 17, 2010 06:40:00 PM
The top fits perfect, actually :)  I like things a little blousy.  I think the colors are great!  Just enough of a rainbow bit for it not to be TOO obvious and pride-full.  Lovin' it!

Here's a pic of everything

She got me some yarn. I've always wanted to try sugar n cream cotton yarn but could never find it!

Also got some pretty crochet hooks. I love the colours! Always wanted to buy myself some but never did. Also some hooked yarn needles and sticky noted for keeping track of things in my patterns

She also sent a whole bunch of patterns! I always love crochet patterns.

A whole bunch of buttons

Lots of red fabric and some snowman fabric. Also awesome for Christmas gifts.

And some sewing patterns. Skirts and pajamas!

Thanks so much for such an awesome package Kittymom13! I'll be aiming to send out your thankyou gift by Monday. I already ahve some ideas of what to make. Just need a tiny break from class to get it finished.

SAHMomma...you got yours posted too...glad you like!  I thought I had more Halloween fabric...but not really.  The yarns:  green is sock yarn...but there is way more that you can do than just socks!  The brown yarn...gifted to me in a huge lot from DH co-worker...not sure what kind or use, and the blue/varigated...I bought and didn't like anything it was making...so I am passing it on and hope you have better creative luck w/it!!   ;D

The top is made from Simplicity 2547, which is actually a Wizard of Oz costume pattern, which I got at Joannes for 99cents  This one is so simple to make!  The skirt was just trial and error, but it is easiest when you cut and stack the strips just the way you will sew them, then it goes together really fast.  I made the blue chambray yoke by making lots of big long darts to limit the volume of bunchiness at the waistline yet  still have it full enough to accomodate all the gathers on the first color tier.  It was a fun project, but truthfully, I was glad when I finished!

I received from our fabulous swap coordinator, and kept forgetting to put up pics.  So here we go!

When I first opened the box- full to the brim:

First batch of stuff is for crochet: all sorts of yarn and crochet thread!  She even snuck in some roving and (more) yarn into the insides of the crochet thread rolls  :D

Second bunch of stuff is for me to start bookbinding, from left to right: paper/cardstock, thread, embroidery thread, and in the little bags there's brads for scrapbooking and belt buckles to decorate.  There's also some long zippers on the side that I'll probably use for crochet bags.  And on the right, fabric for book covers!

And, crochet hooks!  I asked for big, fat crochet hooks and sunspotted delivered :)  These are huge and perfect for making chunky scarves and bags:

Picture of everything together (excluding the hooks, I had them in my hook roll and forgot to include them):

Thank you for everything, sunspotted!  I'm busily crafting away for your gift   ;)

Sorry that I am sooo late to post this fantastic thank you from GuacaMolly!!!  I have an out of town guest and I've been distracted.  Anyhow without further adieu here it is!!!

Overall goodness:

Closeup of the Cleo pouch which is made of Japanese fabric!  **ADORE!!**

I have an unhealthy obsession with zippered pouches and Japanese fabrics so this was perfect!!!  :)

Closeup of the lovely ceramic buttons and mirror made with more Japanese fabric!!  :)

I am thinking of using one of these buttons for a hat!!  Lana made off with the mirror.  She is a girly girl so this will get lots of use.  I was really touched to learn that these fabrics came from a relative of hers who was a missionary in Japan.  Thank you so much for sharing these with me.

Thank you sooo much GuacaMolly for an amazing package and an amazing thank you!!  :)

I received from jadore-le-rose today and I was completely astonished; thank you so much!!!

First, she sent me a lovely note and some amazing goodies from the UK, specifically all my favorite things:

Real English tea and chocolate. Woot!!

Some amazing local handspun yarn (I love it)

This is one of the coolest key holders I've ever seen. Not only is it an awesome owl, you pull on the fuzzy feathers at the top and it pulls your keys up inside the owl so they don't scratch the inside of your bag (or anything else- like sunglasses).

Here is everything all together

Thank you so much! I love everything  ;D

Tatted earrings and necklace.  They came in an Altoids tin...maybe I will hang onto it and actually try some of altering...hmmm....

Stitching closeup on the necklace.  I can't BELIEVE you just learned this!!  These are SO lovely!

Thank you so much!  I'll be sure to get lots of wear out of the earrings in winter, cute little snowflake-y shapes they are!

You should do some altoid tin altering, I'll bet whatever you make would be amazing!

And thank you Spotnik and rlynn!

There have been some awesome thank you gifts in this gallery.  Adorable pincushion!  Beautiful tatting.  So much more I'm forgetting!  Sorry I haven't been posting here more, busy life as usual.  We've got a couple of packages that seem to be delayed in transport (not shockingly Canada Post is always part of the equation, oh CP how I hate you), but otherwise this swap is going pretty smoothly.   :)

It has taken me a few days to get this posted (sorry Chris!), but I finally got a few minutes free.  Here is the awesomely awesome market apron ChrisSews made for me as a thank you gift.  I am SO excited to have this, as I have started doing craft shows again after about 10 years off.  I was awfully tired of trying to keep up with that cash box, so this will be great, plus the colors are exactly perfect!

Here it is!

Please forgive the mess in the background, we are still settling in from our move.   ::)

Thanks again Chris, I REALLY appreciate it.   :-*

I THINK I may have a package waiting for me. My brand new mail system in my brand new mail box is so strange, that I'm not positive (they left a cryptic message and a key in my mail box... hm...I need to check it tomorrow in the light of day ). And if I do, it has to be my Needers package - at least I hope!

LOL.  I keep checking the mail thinking it could be here any day.  I can't wait to see what I set!

Why does Canadian mail have to take so long.  You're actually closer to me here in AK then much of the US.  Must be silly customs delaying things.

I dunno, they seem to be taking a long time. It usually takes less then two weeks to get a package from the states for me but not this time... I hope my package isn't lost somewhere.  :-\

I received an awesome thank-you gift from dreadlocklove a while ago. Sorry for taking so long to get around to pics, life got super-crazy, super-fast. (In a matter of 10 days, grandpa had to have open heart surgery, I lost my job and my uncle passed) Life seems to be getting back to normal today (hopefully).

So on to the pics. Group shot. She sent the most wonderful smelling package of handmade bath goodies.
Two bars of soap, two bath bombs, essential oil and and a oil warmer.  The bath bombs are vanilla and lavender and made for a very relaxing bath the other day. One soap is neem oil, and the other has calendula flowers in it.

The oil is a lavender peppermint blend and smells amazing.

Thanks so much dreadlocklove!!

Finally, I'm getting photos up of my Needers package from punkyflossy. My camera was not only have an issue, but fully broken. Thank goodness I had a full replacement warranty, but until my shiny new camera comes, I managed to borrow one. In more appropriate news, here's my full box! (Which took a long time coming .... and since it was overseas I know it must have cost an arm and a leg - thanks punkyflossy)

I said thread... and boy did she deliver

There were also some trims (love the cherries!)

And some other goodies - glass, dice, and other beads, a velvety beading mat (and no, I actually didn't know what this was - I'm the most unprofessional beader ever, but can't wait to use it!), and some scrapbooking/papery craft stuff.

Thanks punkyflossy, it was a fab package! I plan to get my thank you gift for you finished today, and sent tomorrow. :)

I'm glad you liked it :)
Sorry it took so long, in future I will use a different service, it said 'from 5 days' >.> I expected faster than like...25? or something.
Parcelforce smell D:

I sent the scrapbook for you to do while you were on your travels..but then I decided to stalk you (after the box was sent, and I realised you already had scrapbooks for it D:, but it was a decluttering/clutter somebody elses houses (>.> <.<) swap..so...no harms >.<

If you had needed fabric I had loads picked out of my pile, ended giving away a bin bag full on freecycle :) (tbh, i'm glad I didnt have to pay postage on that O_o)

anywayy :) glad you like...I just got rid of all my kitschy charms like..a month before this swap :( so that was a bummer, but I gave all the beading stuff I had left (I know you didn't ask for dice beads, but I thought you might use them...they seemed sort of your style...)

Anywayy. Enough wittering :P
:)

Oh, I'm pretty sure some of the mailing issues were on my end. We've only had a mailbox here for a week or so (BRAND new neighbourhood, still under construction), and before that we had to go to this depot. Ugh.

The dice were a good choice, I actually had a set of dice beads, but I just recently ran out of the regular black and white ones (have a lot of pink and yellow and white...)

I really love the fabric choices too :)
It's great having something hand made, but from somebody else's stuff, because I usually buy 3meters of any fabric, It means I end up with endless reams of matching things, which is dull >.<
I like having like...variety

I received an awesome thank you gift from thedreamer yesterday.  After some searching, I managed to find my camera out on the deck from when I was taking pictures of my raccoons, but I presently have no idea where my camera cord is.  I have great hopes I left it at work, so I will check that tomorrow morning and hopefully post pictures tomorrow night.  Sorry for the delay partner.  Someday I will get organized.  It may not be until after I win the lottery and buy myself a person assistant, but at least I have a plan.  :)

Here is my awesome needer package from 1boy1girl1kitty2. This package made my day!  ;D

First up is tons of super soft bamboo yarn and an alpaca yarn (in a color I have never seen around here!)

Next is some 100% wool (I love the green and blue multicolored hank) and 100% cotton (in a nice light grey!) Please ignore the random things under my glass coffee table :P

and last but not least some 100% merino wool yarn (love the purple!) and some yarn I'm not sure about on the right side what is it 1boy1girl1kitty2? Whatever it is the colors in them are amazing!

Not pictured are some cute leaf stitch markers (one broke, but the others are fine) that I'm using on a project right now. Thanks so much! Anyone have any ideas what to make with the merino or wool? it's much thinner then worsted weight probably sport weight, (which is great since I've never had anything like that) but now I'm not sure what to make with it :P Any thoughts everyone?

*makes grabby hands at yarn*

Pretty!

I finally dug my way into my office and found my camera cord, so I'm FINALLY posting the lovely thank you I received from thedreamer.

A very cute little crocheted coin purse, which I have loaded up with pennies and dimes and whatnot and started using for my car cash.  :)   And a beautiful, leafy, autumn-coloured bracelet.  I'm sorry I don't have any action shots, but I am an absolutely terrible photographer, this was the best I could get and I tried a million times.

P.S.  Sorry partner, the raccoon shots didn't work at all.  Red eyes in the darkness was all I got.

Oh I almost forgot.  This swap is almost over - one thank you enroute, one angel thank you enroute and one more angel crafting - then we're done.  I'm thinking another round in the new year would be fun but if I organize again there will be a few small changes to expedite things.  This isn't a swap that should take more than three months to finish.   ;D  Any thoughts?

Cute fallish bracelet ...too bad you can't get a good action shot. I know it's wicked difficult to photograph something while wearing it.

Late, late, late photo posting due to my broken camera (so glad I bought that total replacement warranty when I bought it last Christmas!), but I finally got around to figuring out how, and uploading from my brand new camera.

Here's my thank you gift from lanysmiles, a (knit? crocheted?) hat!

There was also some very tasty tea, much of which is gone by now. :)

Thanks, Lany. ;)
