Details of swap:
Are you always busy and so haven't swapped for a while? Do you like crafting quick things? Do you need a low stress swap right now? If yes, this swap is for you! This swap is for one item/set of items. You can send anything you think your partner would like. The only condition is that you take the maximum of an hour to craft your goodies.

This is meant to be a low stress swap so please avoid sending extras. However, if you both agree to craft more than the minimum I can't really stop you...

As in the Craftster swap rules, you need a DC number if shipping within the US, and proof of posting if sending internationally. If your package is too small to qualify for DC#, please keep your proof of posting, but beware that if the package doesn't arrive you will be required to resend!

Communication
This is the minimum amount of communication I want from you:
PM the organiser and your partner when sending and receiving (don't forget DC#), post in the thread at least once to make sure you get any messages from me posted there. Let me know you're alive and crafting halfway through (via PM or in thread). Also: if you don't hear from your partner at all and you're done with your package, hold off on sending and please PM me.

I reserve the right to refuse swappers with a history of bad communication or dodgy feedback. (But I hope I won't need to!)

Some ideas for quick crafts:
A notecard set
Simple throw pillow
A necklace
Elaborate earrings
Hand carved stamp
A stationary set
A pin cushion
A knitted or crocheted dish scrubbie
A simple stuffie or amigurumi
A special bookmark

More inspiration in the gallery  (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=328255.0)for the last round.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap: 10 Minute Swap round 2
Craftster username:
Email address:
Your real name:
Mailing address including the country:
(Please type this as you would write it on the letter to make it easier for your partner)

Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country? (please consider this, it's a small swap and the organiser is in Sweden so we've got at least one non-US swapper :P)

Confirm that are at least 16 years old or, if not, that you have moderator approval (YES/NO)

Do you agree to resend your package if you've got no proof of sending and the package never turns up?
Do you have any allergies?:
Do you have any allergens in your house (cats, dogs, indoor smoking) that people may be allergic to?:

Name at least 5 items or types of items you would like to receive. Try to think of things that can be crafted in an hour. You might not get the exact item you wish for, this is a starting point for your partner!
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

Is there something you wouldn't want to receive?

Your favourite colours:
Your favourite patterns and themes:
Name some of your favourite things:

What kind of colours/patterns/themes do you hate:

Wist?:
Any other informative links?:

Do you wear jewellery?
Do you have any gadgets in need of a cosy?
Are you able to post photos of the package you receive?
Anything else you want to tell your partner?

Partnering questions:
Would you like to swap multiple 1 hour items? (This is not mandatory, but if more than one person wants to send extra I can try to partner them with each other)
What kinds of 1-hour crafts can you make: (name at least a few for my sanity when partnering...)
What's the third quick craft idea listed?

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also, remember to read the Swap Info Guide (https://www.craftster.org/swapsinfo.html) to find other rules about participating in a swap.

We've got Canada, Sweden and UK so far :)

I just keep coming up with more ideas too... I haven't made a teacup pincushion in a long time for example. They are fun to make but nothing I would really use so I enjoy making them for others.

I would love to make some jewelry! I have so much stash and just haven't had any time to use it! That and anything made with yarn.... learning to spin yarn makes your stash get big quick ;) lol

We've got Canada, Sweden and UK so far :)

What a mix :D You know now that I think of it.... I could swap with some one overseas if they included some local chocolate ;) hehe

I'm going to visit family for 1-2 days so if you don't hear back from me in a few days that's why :)

Regarding partners: I'm going to make sure shipping preferences and allergies work first, after that I'll look at what people want to receive and can make. If I can make a good pair with two people who wants to swap a bit extra I will, but that's the last thing I'll look at. Soo... If you end up paired up with someone that wants to stick to one item I'd like you to honour that even if you had wanted to send more. No guilting people to send more than they want/have time for. Ok? (Don't think this will be a problem, but I wanted to get it out there)

Hmmm... I need to tidy up my craft room in preparation for this swap. I've only knitted lately and I don't need to sit in a special room for that so my desk is a bit messy... He he.

Welcome back!  If I remember right, you're the storm chaser... right?  I think we were in the crafty detective swap together.

I'm seriously considering this. I mean, it IS only an hour of my time (minus figuring out what to make) right? I'm sure I could come up with SOMETHING...it seems like the last round had some great fast crafters. Some of those things would take me DAYS to do!!!

I will probably send my questionnaire for this swap. I just need to be able to get my school project finished up because right now I'm freaking out about it and instead of spending the week working on it, I've been exhausted and ill, so I'm very far behind on it. I already know what I could probably do for this (I draw/paint and I sew, I'm still getting used to knitting...and it's been 5 years haha... ) sooo.....Yeah, I'll probably send in the questionnaire tonight or tomorrow, depends on when I get school project from hell done ^_^

I wish I could sign up for this but I have to get my very first swap, one tiny book swap done. It's actually ready to be mailed out, I just wish it would be done before the 21st so I could do this. Ahh, this looks so fun. Maybe next time. :) I hope there's a round 3!! I'll definitely sign up! :)

Oh okay, JOW then.  I've been in over 50 swaps counting the ones I'm in now so I guess its okay to get a little confused.  I definitely remembered you though because I think you must have the coolest job in the world ( this coming from a lady who carries an umbrella if there's a 10% chance of precip).

I borrowed a computer so I could approve some more swappers. One slot left, but if I get a bunch of more people wanting to join I might open up a few more slots. We'll see how it looks when I get home tomorrow. Partnering shouldn't be too hard I think. Many people are willing to send international so no problems there :)

I'm experimenting with a hook and very thin thread at the moment, but as awesome as crochet lace looks it's not a one hour project for me... What are your favourite quick crafts to do?

well... a crochet doily might only take an hour?

yay! i'm in! it's been soooo long since i swapped, and being back in school makes it tough, plus the two huge projects i had to do this summer (full size afghans, ugh). so i'm looking forward to a crafty little break!

LOL crocheting anythingggg takes me forever! some people would be like it took her a WEEEEEEEEEEEk to do that one little tiny thing! Slow & steady is my crochet pace i guess!?

MY fav. quick crafts to do are:

-simple designs [freezerpaper style] on clothing articles...if the design has alot of cutting it will take me along time because my fingers will get sore lol
-necklace pendants :)

Depending on your timezone (and my speed *cough*) you might have partners tomorrow morning. Please take the time to check that you're on the list on the first page and that you've got in progress feedback.

Wooot! Partners soon :)

I guess my fav one hour ( or so) projects are:

pincushions
needlebooks
coasters
simple half aprons
simple hoop embroidery
felt magnets

It's never the quick things I have trouble finding to do, its the larger things.  I guess that's why I love this swap so much.

The quickest sock knitter I've encountered so far could crank out a pair of socks (thicker than sock wight yarn, average womans foot) in two days. I'm sure there are speed knitters out there but unless they're knitted with chunky yarn and for very small feet I have a hard time believing anyone could knit a pair in an hour...

Still working on pairs, it's my first time doing it so I'm trying to make sure everything is right. My guess is I'll need an hour or two more at least.

Fabric stores are dangerous... I don't sew a lot and I'm no pro at it, but when I walked into the gigantic fabric store near my fiancés workplace I had to buy some fabric :)

I think I might know what to make, but then I've stalked *all* of you the whole day...

Thank you, Annchen!  I have nothing but admiration for swap organisers, I just can't see me ever managing it!  I have a free afternoon today so I have been stalking Slingmomma and I'm already pretty sure I know what I'm going to craft.

Well I didn't exactly get anything for the swap at the fabric store but I did spend enough money to get a free reusable shopping bag.... (you got a free one when you spent at least $35, I uh went a little over that ::) )

Thanks Annchen for working so hard on partners! I have a pretty good idea of what I want to make for one item and I'm just doing some wist stalking to see about the other!!

Oops!  I was way off on the yoga socks... nix that one partner.

Annchen:  I am tickled pink with my partner tonistagg.  I've been in a few swaps with her and always hoped we'd be partnered someday.

I could not POSSIBLY be any happier with my partner.   ;D  Seriously, I have so many ideas, and I may not even have to buy anything, because our tastes are so similar!  Now I just need to restrain myself from starting to seriously plan my project instead of A) finishing the things that I *need* to do today or B) working on the 2 swaps I'm already in.

I might be able to do this from stash too... I found lots of things I didn't knew I had the other day when I poked around in my craft room. My plan is to get everything gathered and prepared before I start so I can just sit down and craft. I'm not going to count the prod around time in my crafting time, because I tend to get distracted so that's probably a few hours already. I'm also not going to count things like drying time and the like when I'm free to do something else.

It's funny... When I cleaned/made a mess in my craft room I found things that had been boxed up since 2006, and I've moved twice after that! Now I need to figure out what to do with old knick-knacks and my pig collection. I stopped collecting them and it took years for people to stop giving them to me so I suppose I could get rid of a few somehow.

my partner, SAHMama, and I decided to do the "1 one hour item"... and then go wild since there are so many things we can and want to do for eachother.... woo hoo!!.... and one of those 'wild' things is done.... it started being sorta wild and it ended up being overly wild.... I love it, hope she does as well!!

I'm about 20 minutes into crafting, but I'm going to need to do this in bits and pieces. It looks good so far, but I'm not sure if it's a one hour project or 1,5 hour. We'll see.

I visited a craft fair this weekend (dangerous) and I found some crafty things that were much better than the ones I had at home. Turns out it's much more fun to work with the more high end materials... Luckily I managed to restrain myself from spending all my money on yummy yarn. I was tempted by one skein, but not so much when I saw how it knitted up and how it reacted to being handled. It's a good thing to be able to feel the yarn and see how it looks knitted up apparently...

I'm going to start to check in on people in a couple of days to see that everyone has heard from their partners and at least has a clue about what to craft :) I'll create the gallery when we have a sender...

still crafting away..... I think my biggest problem is going to be finding a box that is the right size.... one of the items I made is WAY bigger than I usually do, and although it was a good challenge for me, I never really thought about the fact that I also had to fit it in a box......

Best wishes for your DH, Lylacfey!
I'm almost done with my item for grimscreed, but I've got some decisions to make.  It's just as bad to have too many materials I want to use as it is when I'm having a hard time finding anything I want to use. :) I'm sitting here with a pile of supplies that could never all fit into just this one project, but they all go together so well. I'm sure once I decide on that the rest will come together though, and I am pretty excited about what I've got so far!

I would hover too... I hope he feels better soon!

I might be scarce the next few days because I got some temporary work. One of the pharmacists at my fiancé's farmacy has been ill for two days and now it looks like he is coming down with something too... So I've worked there for a few days, and with a bit of luck (or bad luck maybe) I'll work there a couple more days. It sure beats being unemployed, and everyone is nice there but it's eating away my swapping time... And I'm going to miss the knitting café tomorrow *mope* It's only once every month and I've missed it every time so far...

I'll still have time to finish everything for this swap, but I might be slow to answer PMs for a few days.

I started one of the things I'm making for tonistagg last night.  It's turning out pretty cute and I think she'll find it a nice addition to a certain wall in her home ;).  No need for mystery really though, she knows I'm adding to her embroidery hoopla wall with one of her items.

I found the pattern for the other item I'm making for her in an old craft encyclopedia ( early to mid 80's) and I can't wait to give it a try.

I am about ready to set down and craft. I have a cat with Alzheimer's. I am not joking. She got into a bit of trouble on Monday. When I was helping her I shoved a splinter up my thumb. It's right against the nail bed. So now I have a sore thumb.

This is a week for me & my DH, lol. I am almost done with my super cute project. OMG! I love it. I was going to send Friday. Monday is looking like a better send date.

I have a hard time knowing how long anything actually takes me because I work in little starts and stops.  Also; if I'm watching something interesting, I'll just sit with my work in my lap for a while.

I do know that I'm having a terrible time with what should be a super simple thing for tonistagg.  Every time I get so far into it, I just don't like it.  Hopefully I'll have time tonight to settle on something I can be satisfied with.

No work tomorrow so hopefully I can craft! I took one look at my craft space tonight and I just wasn't feeling it so I grabbed some random cotton yarn and settled for mindless knitting. Half a washcloth later and it's time to head to bed.

I'm going to try to get my item done in one hour and I'm actually keeping tally, but if I end up with an item that takes a tiny bit longer... so be it!

Looks like I've heard from everyone in one way or another :) I might start to poke the more quiet ones closer to send out if it has been more than a week since I heard from them, but for now I'm happy.

There is a gallery now (a bit early perhaps), but please refrain from posting in it unless you've got pictures to share. After that it's fair game.

And now to clean up a bit so I can continue crafting.

Yay! First senders :D

I've worked for two days now, but my fiancé was nice enough to make dinner while I crafted. Unfortunately I can't make the whole thing in one sitting, but with that bit of crafting done I should be fine and able to send on time. Only a couple of days left now!

Please let me know if you run into trouble and might be unable to send on time!

I have been having an unreasonable amount of difficulty with my project, but I hope to have it finished tonight and ready to be mailed out tomorrow!

It took me so long to settle on what to make that I definitely will use every minute and will most likely send at the last minute.  Between procrastinating and silly every day life interfering its hard to get the important stuff ( swaps, of course) finished.

I've worked for two days now, but my fiancé was nice enough to make dinner while I crafted. Unfortunately I can't make the whole thing in one sitting...

Now I have swap anxiety!  LOL, your is ready, it took two sittings only cause I had to sew the ____ on.  Am trying to find things to fill the small Flat Rate Box and will send on time tomorrow...I chose it because both you and my giver for the givers/needer's swap also had it in her wist. Figured it was a sign to make them...

Drying times are killing me... I hope this will not need more _____ now.

Hmmm... I just got another idea that might improve on the item. I should still have some crafting time left of my hour so it might be doable!

UGH! I had a major craft fail today :( Maybe I need to put off new crafts 'til the baby is sleeping better & I'm not so sleep deprived! I completed my "10 minute" item a while ago, but onegroovyday & I agreed to do more... I think I may try to salvage the fail to make something else; I really like the idea, even if it didn't work so well. Wish me luck!  ;D

Good luck with your craft salvaging.  Many a good thing has come out of crafting disasters - I know, I've had many epic craft fails :) :)

Hi, guys!  Just stopping by with a little note for you!  Please be 100% sure that you are typing your Organizer's username correctly when you send a PM.  Poor Annchan is getting some of your PMs, so please be sure to doublecheck that you are sending to the correct person. :)

Your Organizer is Annchen.
Your Organizer is not Annchan. :D

Annchen, I have a PM to forward to you!  It's heading your way in a moment. :)
