The totally awesome supplies wx2dzug sent me:
a book on beading, beads of all different varieties, jewelry findings, memory wire, ceramic tiles and cork board for coasters, materials for magnets, fabric and other sewing knick knacks, a cool little peanuts lunchbox full of dried flowers for candle making, and some tasty homemade lollipops!

The box in all its awesomeness:

Some individual closeups:

THANK YOU SO MUCH, I LOVE IT ALL! (AND HAVE PLANS ALREADY FOR QUITE A BIT OF IT) :D

noturavggeek, nice haul :).

I received from redflags today! She filled me up a box with knitting supplies :). I am a (very!) newbie knitter and had told myself I wouldn't go spend a bunch of money on supplies until I get past the all-thumbs beginner phase. I have two sets of needles and two skeins of yarn (plus a gauge counter and the rubber protectors that go on the end of needles), period.

I'd really wanted to try out circular needles but couldn't justify buying more needles, so when redflags offered to send me a variety of needles I jumped on that offer!! She sent me a whole bunch of needles, a nice variety of yarn (which our dogs were VERY interested in checking out LOL), and a knitting book (oh, I so love crafting books and magazines!!).

I can't wait to go through the knitting book (which I will do when I get off Craftster), and I can't wait to try out that chunky red-and-black yarn and the circular needles. Thank you so, so much, redflags!!! (And thank you for coordinating the swap, Oops Creations.)

Lovely colors of yarn Glenda. I am especially jealous of the yellow/white blend. It is difficult to find any more.

Wow nutravggeek, I did not know you could get that much into a box. Your partner did very well.

I received a WONDERFUL box from dawn0684 today! I had just gone and mailed my package to cxcaitlyn (so it will be there in a couple of days!!!) and when I came back I had my box! So exciting! There were some great beads (black tube beads, pink and white glass beads, little die beads, and six super cute plastic bottles with colored beads!), yarn (a beautiful wine red, a gorgeous grey, pine green, white, and a fun fluffy blue), fabric (a luscious brown, pink polk-a-dots, a tie die, and a purple), clay, wire, wooden balls, a glass jar (also with some beads!), a crochet ring, thread, adorable ribbon, and some really pretty fabric napkins!  My girls and I were thrilled to go through it and already have plans for some of the fabric, and my daughter is working on a bracelet with some of the thread as I type!
Here are pictures of all the great stuff!

Another view:

And my daughter's bracelet already using some of the supplies:

Thank you! I am looking forward to using all of this!

I received the most amazing package from ~Glenda yesterday. She sent me almost 12 total yards of fabric in many different patterns. I love all the designs so much, now I have to get going on some of  my WIP's so I can play with all my new fabric!

Everything, including the yarn and awesome buttons

A more close up of the fabric I got. My favorite is the moon and stars fabric and the pink and green polka dots. I actually got a fat quarters worth of the pink and green fabric in another swap, but never used it because I didn't want to waste such a small piece. Now I have a lot of it to play with!!

Thank you so much, I loved it all.

I recieved a big box of fabric from Faux Valentine on Monday and then forgot to post pictures.   Haha do as I say , not as I do!

Anyways check out the loads of neat-o fabric.

The heavy, textured and denim fabrics

PLus a jelly roll sampler from the fat Quarter shop on the left hand side of the photo

Close-up on the awesome texture of the faux snakeskin suede.  Sensing something for Halloween. Also, something that looks like it could be sari fabric.

Cotton, Novelty and Quilting Fabrics

Thanks so much Faux Valentine.  You rock!

I received from plucky1_08 today. I will update with pictures a little later. The box was in the worst condition I have ever seen. I looked like it fell off the truck and then got run over a few times. It was wrapped in plastic cord, which was the only thing holding the box together. I understand that things can get damaged in the mail, but this was sent from the same state! Only a few hours away. Luckily nothing seems to have been damaged.

You know it's things like this that make you not have any trust in the postal service.  That is ridiculous, just because I say nothing is fragile or breakable doesn't mean I give permission for you to run it over with the truck.  Maybe I'll start respecting mail carriers more when they start respecting the packages I'm paying them to deliver.  Sorry that happened.

I want to apologize BIG TIME to LINDSAY614 for lagging at getting these pictures up.  She knows the reason, but I feel bad that it took me forever.  I loved everything.  the loot was WONDERFUL with a little mix of everything....  this was my first swap and i for sure was not disappointed.

So here is the loot in its entirety. the entire bottom is covered with 12x12 scrapbooking paper, she also sent the prettiest fabric swatches, cookie cutters, christmas towels, a paper tearer, scrapbooking paper in many different sizes, a pretty green beaded ribbon... she sent these tiny little metal words. "Hope" (my stepdaughters name).. and "wisdom". um... she sent a clear stamp block, stamps, glue tape, wire alphabets, sticker alphabets, felt, gift card holders, a gingham mini scrapbook... clothespins... you get the picture... she hooked me up! THANKS LINDSAY614 this was awesome!

Great boxes everyone! Looking at ya'lls', I hope mine is sufficient and that my partner likes it...

Here is my box from Oops Creations (our fantastic organizer!):

The entire box laid out on my card table. The box included a ton of stuff, so here is a short list:
Paper Trimmer, Leather Square Samples, Foam Stamp, Magnets, Tea Bag Carrier, Yarns, Plastic Food Charms, Ribbon, Raffia, Fabric, Tulle, Scrapbooking Paper, Stickers, Mat Board (I think) Samples, Glitter Paint, Tiles, Scrapbook Album

And a few of my favorites:

Raffia and Ribbon

Scrapbooking Paper and Album

Gorgeous Yarns

Huge Envelope Full of Stickers!!!!!

Really great magnets that I put on my fridge, not in my crafting box...

And my favorite (although I had to ask what it was...) - a teabag carrier!!!! How cool is that! I've been using it to carry my tea to school in my bag. Another teacher keeps trying to steal it, so I may have to make her one too!

Thanks so much! This box was great!

I received from Dawnstrees Wednesday and everything is amazng! I'm so sorry I didn't post sooner - it's been hectic here, to say the least. Anyway, on to the pictures:

A ton of fabrics - mostly reclaimed from old clothing. I always reuse wherever possible, including while crafting, so this is right up my alley! I'm looking forward to working with new textures (I typically stick to cotton and jersey), and I love the Japan-inspired shirt!

I'm a VERY beginning knitter (as in, I'm 1/4 finished with my first scarf ever...) but this is inspiration to keep trying!

Lots of things in this picture: Wood crafts, magnets, and cross stitch fabric. I like to paint and don't generally get the chance to so this is great! Also, I love the magnet sheets! Oh do I have plans for these... ;) I was out of the fabric for embroidery, so what good timing!

Cute stickers, envelopes, scrapping/note paper, and dawnstrees' card in the front! The colored paper is heat sensitive, you can see my hand print on it to show the effect - this is so cool! I didn't know that even existed lol.

Rocks from her dh's grandfathers collection - the one in the front left reminds me of a necklace I had as a child. Not sure what I'm going to do with these yet, but they look really cool!

Close up of the card - so pretty! I love the papers you used on this.

Thank you so much for everything, I can't wait to use it!  ;D

WOW! This was my first swap ever, and when my Package from beantown came today, it was like Christmas! She sent me lots of awesome stamps, blank cards, and REALLY COOL pink and brown caddy (my favorite colors BTW), ribbons, scissors, foamies, I love it all! Now I have to hide some things before my daughter gets home, I KNOW she'll be grabbing those cards to decorate for Grandma!

Thank you very much beantown!!!!

Now, can someone explain to me how to leave feedback?

You don't have to worry about leaving feedback. The organizer does that. :)

I rec'd from OopsCreations and got a GREAT box of fabric, thank you!  She sent it right away, but I just had ankle surgery and was recovering from that and didn't realize that her package had arrived and was waiting in my craft room, thanks to my dear husband.  There is a lot of cool fabrics (you can't tell it in the photos but those ziploc bags are stuffed full).  Thanks again Oops!! :)

I received from flower today, and she totally made my day/week! Sorry for the first terrible picture. I wish I could say the problem is my camera, but it was all operator error  ::)

Everything together:

Ok, I am so in love with that bracelet. Teals and aquas are my favorite colors, and this bracelet has 'em. And the neckwarmer, is it not so freakin' awesome?

The cutest nesting dolls that I won't hesitate to fight my kids for, fabric I can't wait to use, floss in prettyful colors, buttons (I always need buttons!), and a cool box filled with sundry items:

She also sent along some beautiful yarns and fabrics, and two crafting books, which feeds both my crafting obsession and my book obsession,   :D

Again, flower, you rock!!

Title: Goodies from Cre8ivegenes
Post by: hoboe on May 25, 2010 06:46:12 AM
I have no clue how Cre8ivegenes got all this stuff into one little box without it exploding!

The pretty little bag with beads and mirrors in jars, plus some truly lovely cloth remnants:

Close up of the beautiful lace:

Paper samples and what I think are tie patterns?

Some Christmas patterns for cloth ornaments, pillows, etc:

Thank you very much Cre8ivegenes!

So I received from OhThat last Saturday, but had to run out of town for the last two days.

But now that I am back, on to pictures!

The loot, in all of its glory.

Glass panels for things like stained glass work or to place in pottery.

Some of the softest, yummy yarn.

Plarn! How cool!

Inches. Check out the little dachshund in the bottom right hand corner.

Wire, which I will attempt to crochet into jewelry, embroidery thread, also great for jewelry, pink ribbon and a skein of fluffy, claret colored yarn. That just has to be made into a big chrysanthemum flower for fall.

Cardstock, great for stitching on and brads for scrapbooking.

But the best part I think?

'Cool box!' I think. 'What could be inside?'

ZOMG! Beads to put on my crochet wire jewelry! Look at it, it even has a piece of foam on the lid so you can dump the beads out right there and work. How awesome is that?

Thank you OhThat. It was a wonderful box and you have given me great inspiration.

I recieved from loudxmouse the other day and was trying to get good photos to post, but alas, the ones I have will have to do. the quality camera is MIA.

I got super spoiled!

awesome roving and fiber! there is also a brownish gold that i LOVE that I somehow didnt get a picture of. she also sent me a drop spindle and Ive been experimenting! I hope to post something in the next fiber friday thread!

then there were these great yarns. My boyfriend promptly stole the peaches and cream ones and started knitting something with them, but i threatened his life if he touched the other two. theyre amazingly soft! the double pointed knitting needles are from england and look to be vintage. awesome!

These were some of the great extras I got in the box. I adore the little felt cupcakes!

Crochet patterns I didnt already have! going to have to try them out!
There were also some really nice velvet fabric pieces in the box in red and green, but my camera refused to take a decent picture of them.
Thank you loudxmouse!

Great Job all you swappers.

All the packages have been sent( hurray!) and most people have received their packages and had their feedback updated

As the stragglers arrive at their destination I'll finish the feedback for those last couple of people.  Other than that this swap is practically finished.  Thanks for participating.
