I found this lamp in the clearance section at walmart for $5 bucks!

Just your average acrylic paint, and a coat of clear acrylic high gloss sealer.

OMG, I bought that same lamp on clearance too :) I've been wondering what to do with it - thanks for the insiration!!!

You did a great job. Did you paint the lamp shade, or is it paper or fabric?

I've always seen household items on clearance, but they were so ugly I never really bothered looking extensively at them. I did not remember a little bit of work can turn something more pleasant.
