Title: Another coiled bowl!
Post by: Jenicat on April 14, 2009 07:28:02 AM
I made these bowls for a swap awhile back: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=292234.0 (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=292234.0)

I'm currently organizing the Tree Swap R2.  My partner for that swap, CamOovas, had the bowls on her wist.  So I decided to make her one, but had to figure out how to make it tree-themed.

Well, I really like brown and green together, so I thought that was tree-themed enough.  I picked several sort of olive-y green fabrics and decided to do the bottom brown and the sides green.

Here's what I came up with:

And here's a close-up of part of the bowl:

This one was a lot of fun to make, just like the last ones!

Oh, Jenicat...I am so in love with these bowls. I would say please teach me, but it would probably go about as well as the day when Mimi gave us our patchwork tutorial and I was the problem student :(

They look so professional!

Daaahling, I will gladly teach you.  And you weren't a problem student at all.  :P  Your machine was messing up; that's not your fault.
