Title: Online Supplies
Post by: rackycoo on January 22, 2009 12:30:22 PM
Here are links to stores recommended by other Papercraft artists on this site. If you know of a great place to get supplies, please post about it here and I will add it to the list.  :)

I'm sorry, but due to the high number of Craftsters we have with etsy shops, we are not listing etsy stores in this thread. If you would like to advertise your etsy, please put a link to it in your signature line. Thanks.

Is it okay to promote my own site?

Tidbits Trinkets

http://store.tidbitstrinkets.com/Altered/alteredmain.php (http://store.tidbitstrinkets.com/Altered/alteredmain.php)

I have collage sheets with public domain images sized for cards/ATCs [but also good for scrapbooking]. The collage sheets are unique to me - I assembled them, though the images themselves are PD. I have nearly 100 different ones, and they are laser printed so the images won't run when glued, painted, etc. You can also get them as transparencies.

I also have other stuff for collage, etc.

Papertrey Ink has a ton of stamp sets and also misc. supplies such as custom papers and inks,  and even nestabilities (which I love).

great idea! I love California Paper Goods. http://www.papergoods.com/ I follow them on facebook and they often have free paper sample give aways. They always deliver the free goods promptly! The paper is always thick with brilliant saturated color. It's like paper porn.

I'm sorry, I don't know. I think you would have a better chance of getting a response if you post your question in the discussion and questions board here (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=19.0).  :)

I buy all my quilling strips online from Lake City Craft Company.  They're about half the cost of buying them at a retail store.

Hi all,

I wanted to share a free vintage image resource I've been personally working on and expanding over time.

http://www.freevintagevectors.com/ (http://www.freevintagevectors.com/)

It's a collection of decorative borders/frames, labels, ornaments/flourishes, flowers, people, objects, and so on based on old book illustrations. They're free for both personal and commercial use. Also, the vector format I upload them in makes them suitable for large scale projects, since they won't lose quality when expanded to any size.

Hope you find this useful!

Oh, I hate to hear that. I liked them. :(

My order is processing very slowly but here's the reply I got letting me know it's be received:

"I am a tiny bit sorry to be closing the shop, but after 14 years and 36,900+ packages mailed, it's time for something new!  Afterwards, I will put up links to other vendors who carry similar items."

So that's cool, we'll have links to other places that can supply like goods.

That link doesn't work for me. I googled Lemoncraft, and the only one I found just sells wholesale. Is that the one you mean, or do you have a different link?

I just wanted to list an online vendor NOT to use.
I used to be a big fan of http://www.tinythingsarecute.com/ (http://www.tinythingsarecute.com/)

The story:
I sometimes take Ambien to help me sleep.  Ambien has a kown side effect where people do things while on it and don't remember.  there are documented cases of people sleepwalking, cooking, etc.
I tend to send rambling messages to friends and online shop.
On January 13 I had taken an Ambien and ended up buying about $20 worth of stuff from Tiny Things Are Cute and then forgot about it until Feb 8 when I balanced my checkbook.  I signed into the site to check on the order and saw it wasn't even marked as processed. I sent a message through the site and 5 days later heard back from the site owner Caryn who apologized for the poor service and offered to either refund or send the order.  I sent her a message the same day saying I still wanted the order.

I have since sent 3 more messages and have heard nothing back.

It kinda sucks because she was my source for vintage ephemera.
I tried ordering some off etsy once and the stuff I got was not what I expected or wanted.  Then I ordered off ebay and everything had a musty smell

I honestly thought they had gone out of business. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with them. Have you tried contacting them again? That's crazy bad customer service!

I think she moved a while back which required a time where she wasn't mailing orders and contributed to the general disarray.
I last contacted her in June asking for a refund and then just gave up.
