Are we supposed to reserve a post for our gallery this time?

If so, this will be my mini gallery!

You can, but you don't have to. Either way, I and the organizers will link your posts to the front page.

My package from Kartiana is on its way, I can't wait to post pics ;D
My package arrived today, that was super speedy!!
Here are the goods:
the letter and photos, they are pictures of her wedding.  Kartaina is a beautiful bride, I love the dress and the veil is especially awesome!

Here are her local Items, she lives in Southern California, but her heart belongs home in portland, OR.  I love post cards and magnets (they are already on my frige)

And a few of her favorite things, I havn't seen the movie Roxanne in forever, I will be watching it this week.  She loves cows and Superman, so she sent me a super cute cow kitchen towel and some Superman stickers. some great post-its, some Aveeno lotion, and a fill in the word puzzle book.

Thank you Katriana for the great package, I hope you like the one I sent to you.  I can't wait to make the next package to your liking!!!

So I met my partner dannispring240 yesterday. Here are the pictures of us and the wonderful package she gave me ;D

First of all, instead of doing a photo album we did a sort of scrapbook using composition books. We each bought a composition book, filled out half of it, and exchanged it. For the second package, we will be filling out the other half of each other's books before giving them back. Here is the one i received today:

Here are the local items which include a donut from a family owned donut shop, a calendar from a family owned chinese restaurant, and yarn from a local yarn shop

Favorite items, which include fave chocolate, fave holiday, and fave color

And just because we both like reading, we exchanged books (both of them kind of...well..sexual in nature lol but they are not pornographic!)

And some extras she threw in just because ;D

Oh! And of course to prove that we actually met....

Here we are at Ben & Jerry's with our matching hats!
(Danni is on the left with the blue hat, and I'm on the right with the pink hat)

I love Sailor Mercury and VG Cats, so this is full of win.  ^_^
Also, I like the idea of using a comp book.  It makes everything so much easier.

I received today or I went to the postoffice to get my package. And it is yayness! ^^

I already feel spoiled. I'm sorry about the not so good pictures, I was in a fight with my camera.

First a pic of the hole punch:

The letter was in a bright red envelop and the letter it self was a giant postcard that looked like this:

Her scrapbook, filled with a lot of wonderful pictures telling a lot about her, family and friends. She decorated the front and back with clippings of stuff she likes:

Local stuff:
A ton of little handmade envelopes made from pictures of English countryside:

Two postcards telling a little of two old costums in Wales, the dress and the lovespoon:

Then she got me a lovespoon :D that means she want to marry me, according to the postcard.

Then she also got me a little pendant of the Welsh dragon. Super cute:

As for her favorite things she send a bag of candy and a snack. I don't dare open the snacky ones quite yet, but the aero bubbles are awefully dangerous *yummy*

And a little starters kit to macrame and a bracelet. I've tried it several times before and it is quite fun^^

A cow, as she loooves cows*giggles*:

And two books. Brontë and a book with Welsh fairytales. And FYI Wondra, I LOVE books - and especially second hand ones ^^ I've always wanted to read Brontë but never gotten around to doing it, so yayness. And for the fairytales, yeah, I've read a lot of fairytales both Norse and Gaelic over the years. I even wrote a big paper on the Irish Taín. So more reading for me! :D

So all in all I've gotten a killer package. I love all the local stuff and now I just want to go to Wales even more. Le sigh. Great stuff Wondra! Now I'm just getting a little afraid my package is too pewny ;)

I recieved an awesome package from craftastrophe today!  Here are the pics.

She put together a very beautiful scrapbook.  I feel really bad because mine was much more simple.

Craftastrophe is from Rhode Island so for her local she sent 4 postcards, Autocrat coffee syrup, and a Del's lemon scented soy candle(it is burning at this very moment).

For the favorites I recieved a skein of Patons yarn, Ferrero chocolates(my daughter and I dug in as soon as they arrived) and a Hello Kitty note pad.

Thanks craftastrophe!!!

Yippie! I'm so glad you recieved everything okay, pseudo_pix!

I was worried about my photo album because everyone else seemed to be doing scrapbooks. I forgot to mention that the drawings were NOT done by me (because I SUCK at drawing and art). I told my hubby I had a couple of blank pages and he amused himself. :)

The sweet chili nuts are pretty spicey which is funny because I don't like spicy foods as a rule. I'm totally addicted to these Nobbys Nuts though!

As for the love spoon...Well! I tried to find one that wasn't quite so "I want you I need you I can't live without you" but it wasn't easy. So in the end I went for the most touristy one I could find. :)

I hope you enjoy the macrame. I like it because it's pretty much the only craft I can do without looking at it or paying much attention at all. Good telly watching stuff.

I remembered you saying that you were interested in the celtic mythology so I had to find a copy of the Mabinogian for you. I haven't read it since university but I remembered a few of the stories. OMG. I LOVED The Tain. It's been ages since I read that too. (I remember it being quite tragic in parts.)

I hope you enjoy it all! It was hard to seperate myself from the cow, of course, but I'm sure he went to a good home! ;) I can't wait for your package to arrive! Considering the fact that I know NOTHING about where you're from I know everything with be a nice surprise. :)

I received a lovely package from edel! This is my first MAF swap and I loved finding out about someone else. It's so funny that we have lots things in common, and yet some we are exact opposite! ;D

About edel: A fabulously glittery shrine to all the things she likes & an ATC to the Joy of Love!

Home package: Postcards (I love standing stones and always make detours on trips to visit them!), wonderful smelling local soap (love handmade soaps), a tea blend (I love tea too!) and handmade chocolate (not pictured because it was soooo yummy!)
Also, a Christmas card and frankincense resin as we had been talking about that. I love the smell so much!

All the things edel loves: Fabric, skulls (me too!), cocktails (yummy!) and some bling earrings

I received from NiinaMaria yesterday. I hope the postman appreciated the lovely Marimekko box it came in:) I certainly did.

Local things- fabulous Marimekko fabric - I love poppies. Though I m a knitter rather than a sewer I love nice fabric. I have a plan for this fabric:) You can also see the cool box everything came in and a Marimekko bag. Also there was a DVD of the Northern Lights:) and a reindeer leather bookmark with my name on it. I love bookmarks and this one is so soft. The last two things represent Lapland where she is from. I have a fascination with the Arctic - so am lookinf orward to seeing the Northern Lights DVD.

Her favourites - her favourite magazine( had fun looking at the photos and trying to work out what the articles were about), Marimekko napkins(adorable pattern) and yummy chocolate biscuits - her favourite treat. You can see even more of he lovely fabric here.

We are both sending the photos/artwork part of the swap separately.

I just received my package today from mcook72677!

First is the scrapbook she sent me.  I only took a picture of the cover, but she used some really pretty papers on the inside.

My partner is from Michigan, so she sent me postcards, a local magazine, and this amazing rosemary mist spray.  As soon as I opened the box, I could smell it!!!

Lastly, for the favorites I received some Dove candy bars (very excited to take a bite of one...), a novel by Dean Koonz (I'm a bookworm), and some tasty lip balm.

Thanks mcook72677!!!  I can wait to start working on the next package  :D

It was a cold and wet night, our heroine was returning home from a long day at work, tired brainsore and weary, she came into the house and her mood was instantly lifted by a ray of sunshine from Seville. I got my package from Phizzychick today.

it is fabulous and I adore everything, so in no particular order. She sent some great photos of Seville and the cathedral, a beautiful bookmark of some of the floor tiles, some yummy (strawberry ) smelling tea (I sent her tea too!!) from her local shop, A gorgeous little ceramic framed mirror, also made locally.

They have a tradtion there of Navidad (Hope I have spelled that correctly, brain completely fried today!) where they have a float and they give out candy, so she sent me a christmas decoration which is so adorable and candy, of which not a lot left as my daughter has got her hands on it.

She also sent this gorgeous piece of art, its a double sided heart shaped hanging piece of art, i love it. Isn't it gorgeous.

and my very very favourite thing, my daughter I are totally wowed by it, she made and bound an entire book about her favourite things. I adore Phizzychicks art work and am completely stoked at this.

this is my favourite page from inside

and a couple more pages.

Thanks Phizz

First we have two photo pages she did. One has pictures of her self on them and the other has a picture of a Sponge Bob cake she made and Mill Mountain and its star.

Then we have some post cards of Roanoke

Then she sent me a mug from Mill Mountian Coffee which she says has been around longer than Starbucks. She filled it with some pumpkin spice coffee.

She sent a box of chocolates from Baylee's Best, the chocolates where not around long enough to be photographed but I saved the box. She sent a hat made out of her favorite yarn, and a book that she says is one of her favorite type books. It's Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie.

She also sent a bottle of vanilla that she says is the best, I forgot to take a picture of it.

...thanks zuliblu and Phizzy, that really means a lot. I am genuinely touched by your words, I have a few (not so good) things on my mind at the moment and your comments came at such a good time.

I love(d) having you both as partners as well btw, its great to meet, albeit in cyberspace, interesting creative women, who are doing such cool things with their corners of the world. It is such a great antidote to the doom and gloomy, chicken little zeitgeist that we are all confronted with at the moment.

Okay...Now for the long awaited photos of my package from pseudo_pix! :)

SO much fun stuff! The best is an illustrated book from pseudo's city. There were loads of postcards including a postcard of the Queen and King of Denmark and a giant statue of a boy that totally creeps me out. There's also a gorgeous Arabian scarf (there are a lot of ethnicities around her city from what I understand), a box of Legos (which are made in Denmark), a plastic kitty (we're both mad about our cats) and a tub of cotton candy that...um...didn't make it past my husband. :) Also, there's a pair of FABULOUS earrings plus pseudo's fav hot chocolate and fav tea.

The tea and hot chocolate. I haven't tried them yet but pseudo says I should try the tea with honey. Yum.

Lots of postcards! The Boy freaks me out. There's a picture of him in the book as well and he looks HUGE in real life.

These postcards look vintage. I've got a small collection of postcards that they're going to be joining.

The kitty and the earrings. I love that the earrings are from Acessorize! :)

Legos and the scarf. You can't see it but the scarf if super thin and sparkly.

There are post-it notes through the book to point out places near pseudo and what certain things are. Luckily, some of the text is repeated in English. For everything else, there's babelfish. ;)

Thanks again, pseudo_pix! I had a great time learning about Arhus, Denmark and you! :)

Michigan - America's High Five

LOVE IT! Being a 'gander I can totally appreciate that. :)

Shout out to the Michigan craftsters!  I saw a wisted t-shirt with that on it and I thought it was hilarious, and Southern Flower is from WI, so it's like Michigan is high fiving wisconsin!  :)

Flower - I can't believe you received already!  I better get mine today, it would help me deal with the fact that I have to work today  :'(

I received my package on my birthday and it was the best present I got all day!
It's going to take me a day or two to post pictures because I have to go to my dad's to upload them since my mom's computer won't handle it; but I am SO HAPPY with what I got!

Now I share the awesome package that Cheebz sent me.  :D

Big box with tons and tons of newspaper, including the funnies!

ohhhh,  a Jellyfishie!  Beautiful, and deadly, he now lives above my bed. She included a note on the label that reads "Stolen From Mom" - my little ones try to steal all my plushies.  (What she likes)

A gorgeous miniature journal that has a lady from a vintage Montgomery Ward catalog.  She loves Art Deco and Fin de Siecle. I have just the thing to go in it too!  (What she likes)

What's this?  We come back to this later.

An envelope! With letter and pictures inside.

Awesome photoshop collage pictures of the very beautiful Cheebz. The lady is seriously pretty! (for the Who I am )

Mouse Ears! (Orlando, Fl - Where she is from)

Cute Magnet board with Magnet - The Magnet is board is a shuttle,  which funnily enough is close Orlando at the Space Port and near Houston we have Space Center!   The shark magnet is reference to JAWS! (where she is from)

That odd wrapped package earlier?  A gorgeous recipe jar!

With Pin-up recipe card -  I am in love with pinup girls, I actually have two in my kitchen above my sink.  :D

And ingredients for bourbon balls ( minus the bourbon and corn syrup but with a sweet story about them, kisses that taste of bourbon and joy *sigh* )

I LOVE everything.  I am a very lucky girl!  I have close-ups of that gorgeous cloth too, I love it!

Thank you Cheebz, you rock!

I love the jellyfish!  It's all sparkly and deadly at the same time.  :)  The composition books are a really great idea too.  I have one from a friend that I have to send back to her, so thanks for reminding me.  Also, I really like the penguin mug.

I'm still waiting for my package to gift me with it's waiting joy.  Sadly my post office must hate me, because it hasn't gotten here yet.  Hopefully it will come and I can share it with you.  I'm also hoping that Tanquiel has access to a camera because I completely forgot to take pictures.   :o  It was a crazy day when I sent it out.

I finally can post pictures.  I didn't take very many and then my computer turned into a very expensive paperweight, so I apologize for the delay.  I hope to get some more detailed photos up later, but I figured these would work for right now until I can get my computer working again.  I spent most of the evening attempting not to kick or curse the computer.

My partner Tanquiel sent the most amazing package.  It even smelled pretty.

Here's a picture of the group:

And a picture of the non food items:

She sent Austrialian play money (one of my favorite items in the box), an Austrialian flag cross stitch pattern, Queensland playing cards, a pretty swirly pencil,  a tea strainer, and her beautiful scrapbook.  It was too dark to get pictures of the pictures, but she sent ones of her wedding (including the dress she made), her vacation, and their puppy dog.  I'll get some more pictures tomorrow hopefully.  The pictures were all very pretty.  I love the play money and am trying to figure out how I can display it so that everyone can see it.   :)  I've already colored with the pencil and the cross stitch is on my "projects to try" list.

Here are the food items:

These included chocolate, two kinds, a dark and a wine chocolate.  I've tried the wine one and it is very good and I think I'll indulge in the dark chocolate in a little bit. She also sent pink salt from an inland lake in Austrailia.  There were also five kinds of tea.  A little tea sampler, peppermint, chai, creme brule, and french earl grey.  I'm excited to try them. She also sent suggestions for how to drink them, which is nice because I'm definitely a novice tea drinker. My kitty loved the envelope the package came in. Some of the mint had spilled and she was in kitty heaven for a little bit.  ;)  The tin has white meat spices in it and the package says it can be used for poultry, pork, or crocodile! I ran around the house showing everyone.  We're probably going to try it on pork or chicken.  Some how I think crocodile will be hard to find in a Upper Michigan winter.  :)  The little green envelope has lemon myrtle leaves in it and included a recipe for lemon custard.  She picked the leaves from a tree down her street.

This was a fabulous swap and I'm looking forward to getting more into it.  Thanks to all the moderators and Tanquiel!

Alright so I FINALLY found the cord to connect my camera to the computer to upload my pictures... apparently when I find one thing I lose another... (just found my camera charger, now I'm missing the adapter for my memory card and it took me a few hours to find the cord...) anyways... Here are my pictures  :D

My partner is Michowl from El Paso, Texas and I learned A LOT about her and what she likes

This is everything as it came in the box, some of the stuff was wrapped in red polka spot bags, red is my favorite color and I LOVE spots (I know it's supposed to be Polka Dots but I've said spots since I was little)

This is everything unwrapped and together!!! I got lots of cool stuff  8)
(please excuse my messy bed which I used as the background, my rat Remi was playing on the bed while I took pictures and she leaves fuzz and stuff everywhere)

This is the awesome album that was FILLED with pictures of Michowl, her family, her kitty Squid, examples of her arts and crafts, and some pretty funny photoshopped pictures as well... The album had so much in it, I think I learned more about her then i imagined I would this quickly lol

This was all the local stuff:
*A self tour guide of Downtown El Paso- I REALLY want to go see one of the theaters it mentions, it's beautiful
*An El Paso button
*An El Paso post card- it's got the alligator fountain on it that used to have live alligators in it before they made a statue of them
*And a BUNCH of Ralpheene buttons and 2 cds- Michowl is in 2 bands, this being one of them. I've already listened to the blue cd (which is FANTASTIC) and downloaded both to my Ipod!!! OH and there's a sticker as well!!!

This is 2 of her 3 favorite things:
*A cute notebook- she loves the birds on it and the color
*The Baxter- a rather funny movie that I'd never heard of until today and had to watch right after I opened it!!!

Finally, We have her last favorite thing:

A button eyed monster made by her and designed by both her and her BF Ray!!! HE'S SOOOO CUTE, I Love Him!!!

The little box in the group shot had some ChocoKitty stickers and some (I think) Scrapbook embellishments that looked like buttons... I didn't get a good enough shot of them and had to leave for work so I gave up...

Thanks for everything Michowl, I love it all and I'm excited to get started on box 2 now that I've gotten to know you better!!!

Arg..I just put together a huge picture post and it *poof* disappeared :(  Lets try this again...

First off, my partner is spectacular!  She sent me so many things that not only SHE loves, but coincedentally enough, I love!

Shall we start with Martha Stewart: (not pictured, Martha Stewart Living magazine, the casserole recipes got my thru a long day of supervising contractors last week!)

the lovely scrapbook Southern Flower gave me with some CUTE pictures of her kitties.

Yay! spatulas!  My kitchen is blue too, mmatches all the rest of the Martha Stewart kitchen stuff i have!

Some lovely sparkley MS mum stickers...along with two really cool stamps that have already gotten used.  I LOVE the bird one!

Cool ice cube tray, makes ice to fit in water bottles!

FABRIC!  I know SF has a love for fabric like i do, I was HOPING I would get some!
Also, some Wisconsin post cards :)

Finally..some food!  Good choices on that too, I love cheese and my hubby LOVES summer sausage, also note the adorable little cheese board and knife!  Will go well with the wine tasting parties I sometimes have!...I wonder what type of wine I could pair with the gummy bears?..maybe a cabernet  ;D

Well Southern Flower, I LOVE everything!  I can't believe how much we have in comon!  Thank you for such a wonderful package!  :-*  :-*

Thank you!!!

After all the craziness of the past 2 weeks (started school, it snowed) I am finally posting my first package. My camera takes really bad pictures, and dies very quickly. Please forgive there crappiness.

first there is a really pretty photo box. Then for the local items she sent me a shot glass, some playing cards, and this great ATC of the Space Needle. For her favorites she sent me 2 kinds of candy (Werther Original's and Riesen;), and the last thing is not pictured, I was soo excited when I saw it I ran to add it to the rest of my collection. It seems we both love V.C. Andrews books, and she got me one I didn't already have "Broken Wings".

Ok this is a better place to put this, I want you all to see the wonderful things that Phizzy sent me. (Thanks designvigilante)

PACKAGE TWO!! In an cold february. Phizzychick sent me a fantastic package that lifted my day. It was almost too beautiful to open. Look!! how could you open this, OK I managed. it was wrapped with some brilliant Tape measure, tape, and had a great bacelet in greens and blues, that I havent taken off yet. A lovely letter which had the first inchie I have ever seen affixed to the stamp. I think inchies might be another thing I will be taking up soon!

When I finally got inside this was the awesomness. Three pieces of beautiful fabric, each more lovely than the last, my favourite was a piece that looks like light shining through a stained glass window. There was also a great piece that has botanicals scattered over a black ground. I love the colours.

Then this brilliant brilliant pack of paper ephmera to use for altered books etc. I dont know how she managed to squeeze all of this into one packet.

And the best of all was this fabulous shrine, it is 'Boudoir" here are some views of it.

Thanks again Phizzychick, I adore everything

I felt so bad for adding to your fabric stash when I kept hearing of your plans to rearrange your existing stash, I didn't realise you had so much fabric already! I'll have to send you some more paper things to balance it out ;)

I received package 2 from tazzsangel19 today. While I was loading pics I realized I never posted package one. So, first up is package one!

A cool accordian style photo album with pics of her and her family:

Favorite were two kinds of candies, which were eating immediately, and some green chai tea in a cute pouch she made:

Locals were a shot glass, a wood rose from the local fair, and two locally made soaps that are already being used in the bathroom:

Now for package two!!! Most of it came, but the what I do best is still in the making and coming soon.

For my stash she sent fabric (the green and pink match my girls' room, so I will do something for them with it!):

Papers for ATCs:

And some beads and findings (I will be making some wine glass charms with the hoops!):

She also made me a crocheted scissor cozy and knitted pincushion (which I LOVE!! great colors!):

I got an awesome package (#1) from crazy4bags-- although it got hung up in customs for a bit, it was so worth the wait!  We snuck a few of the maple cookies just after I took photos (they are so good!) and I can't wait to try all the rest of the sweet stuff! So.... let's see if I can get it all...

Crazy4bags sent a cute notepad with my initial on it, cute stickers, awesome buttons that I can't wait to use, and a cute pink argyle notebook.  She sent this really cool mini photo scrapbook which looked like it took so much time... I loved seeing all her cool photos and it really had a lot of personality (so cool!)...  there were some Canadian mini-notepads and a thing that I forget the name of (I'll call it a badge holder strap -- I'm going to use it for my work badge and replace the boring one I have now - perfect because I was just telling my husband I wanted something more interesting!)  There was a really cute charm and fairy pen and lots of cool candies and cookies that I've never tried (so much fun!).. and awesome fun postcards and she had a really cool story about the candle, which was from her hometown.

I had so much fun checking everything out -- thanks so much Crazy4bags (and for putting up with my worries over customs & stuff!)  You totally rock!

I realized after Amnesia posted ... I haven't posted her package yet either! She is a GREAT swapper.  I am eagerly waiting for #2.

Some San Francisco stuff.  I love the Alcatraz shot glass, I had to hide it when my brother in law came over.

the rest of my loot.  Awesome bento stuff that you can't find here anywhere.  a great oragami bookmark kit, lots of cute papers, I especially love the little thank yous.  And some kitty sticky notes.  A great little monkey in some of my fav colours

and the letter was on really neat mushroom paper.  ohh and everything was all individually wrapped in these great little strawberry envelopes I love them.

thanks again Amnesia!!!!

I got the sweetest package (#2) from pseudo_pix today! It's AMAZING. Everything is so perfect for me!

Everything together: a hat/scarf that matches my coat exactly with orange (my favourite colour) lining, three skeins of yarn with a gorgeous wooden crochet hook that I've already put to use, three skeins of paper yarn that is AWESOME with macrame (which I love) and a pair of fingerless mittens (which are an obsession of mine).

The mittens. (I'm wearing them now.)

The yarn. (I've already used one tonight! Lol.)

The paper yarn. I never even considered using this but it's SO funky with macrame. I'm going to use it all up very quickly, I can tell!

Oh, and a COW card which is so freaking cool!

I don't have a picture of the hat yet since I need my other half to take it and he's sleeping...I'll have to get one tomorrow.

Thanks, pseudo_pix! The whole package was perfect! :)

Ugh. Technology. For the longest time I thought the batteries in my digital camera needed charged, so I've been trying to find my charger. Found the charger...it's not the batteries. I finally got a new digital camera for the big V.D., so I'll post this afternoon.

Okay...pictures of my package from bookworm7155.

The coolest owl notebook. It's inspired me to write daily since I received.

An ornament, a CD of her favorite music (which I've been enjoying), and postcards of her hometown. There was also candy in the package, but of course I chowed down on that...

It was such a cool package! Her hometown seems like a really neat place.

I'm so glad you like it! The hat was sort of a last moment thing ^^real easy and fun to make (pondering making one for my self in those colors).

Where's the little wooden thingy? I would love to know what the English word for it is! ;D

Oh I've been waiting for you to get the package so I could send off the next one. Hehe. It's here all done waiting for you. I'll have to send it Monday or Tuesday then. I had a blast going down town yesterday and finding the new favorites^^

Wow, I can't believe you have the next one done already! I'm still trying to figure out what to do. Lol.

Do you mean the crochet hook? It's gorgeous and I didn't have one in that size yet. Plus, I found that the decorated end is really handy for stuffing cotton into little places. Lol. Here's a good pic of it:

Ok so here are the pictures from last night. These are pictures of Danni opening the package I gave her. At the time, it made sense for me to take pictures of her opening her package, kinda like at a birthday party haha. SO she will be posting the package she gave me in her post. So again, this is MY package TO Danni.

First of all, here's a pic of me and Danni waiting for a table at the sushi restaurant we went to

This is Danni + her SO

This is me + my DH

NOW on to the package!

First of all, a hefty stack of fabric, most of which are 1+ yard

Then I got her some Yarn, mostly caron simply soft

A hot glue gun, glue sticks, and some interfacing (could you believe she didnt already have her own glue gun?! lol)

Secondly, this is something Danni and I decided to do just because we both love cooking. We each made each other a "scrapbook cookbook". Here's what i made her, a simple binder with cooking mama on the cover lol

Thirdly, since it was valentine's day, I made her some blondie cakes and cup cakes in a heart shaped tin and got her some dark chocolate

Fourthly, a local yarn & fabric store is going out of business :( but i took advantage of it and bought items for her DIY kit, and I couldn't resist making a crochet & knit caddy to go along with it and I couldn't wait til march to give it to her.
So here it is, a crochet & knit caddy with crocheted cotton compartments including a spiral hook holding compartment, it also contains a couple of plastic hooks, a small scissors, a retractable tape measure, a pair of size 8 straight needles, size 10 circular needles, and a couple of afghan/tunisian crochet hooks.

Fifthly, some more assorted supplies and items. Includes 2 local keychains since i forgot to include local items in our last package. There's also a goofy amigurumi heart for valentine's day, a random miniature safety cone that says "Fabulous!", Artist Trading Card supplies, D rings, pens, button pins, and a small bag that it was all in.

SIXTHLY, more local postcards and a wall decal about family she can put on her wall

AND FINALLY, a chocolate brown puff stitch hat

Wow, that's some package. I want a hot glue gun, ;D and I covet the yarn. The knitting caddy is a great idea. I have of one of those plastic  caddies on my desk - it might get converted for knitting supplies.

I finally found my camera, photo of the first package:

note the photo is missing the chocolate bar Linnybelle sent me. In the back is the cool quilted scrapbook, going spiralling clockwise there's two mini plushies, 2 lengths of ribbon, flamingos and whales, a bag of buttons, the card she sent me with an envelope made from a sewing pattern, 2 postcards, some recipes, a leaf brooch and a michigan ornament in the front.

Package two (received Friday):
I got a massive WIP bag with plenty of pockets, a huge crochet hook roll that I have already started filling and a pincushion. All of which is going to get lots of use.

The wrapping was great too,

and finally:

a sweet bag, a stack of handmade cards and two quilted bookmarks

Such wonderful things!

I've been completely spoilt by edel with my second package!

Behold!

Bag in the style of my artwork...so cool!
Tree of life earrings, the cutest tea cosy ever, chicken egg cozy & fab spotty eggcup, button heart decoration and a huge stack of papers and ephemera!

A closer look at the bag, teacosy, chicken & beaded tree earrings...

Huge array of paper & ephemera!! Perfect!

It missed the group photo, but it's a box of awesome whimsies!

Action shot of the fabulous bag!

Excuse the crumpled attire, I've been making paper.

And because he couldn't resist...phizzybloke modelling the teacosy ::)

Looks like a freaky wrestler! :D

Thank you so much edel, I love everything! You are such a wonderful and thoughtful partner! :-*

I am sooo glad you like it, I have to say that bag was hard to part with, I really do like your artwork and I liked how it turned out. I especially like that the randomn piece of vintage wool blanket that I dyed as a test piece turned out to be the perfect colour and texture for the base of the applique.

I love the tea cozy too!  I have a whole quilt made out of tye dye fabric from this summer, so I get all excited when I see other tye dye.  I also love the bag.  Phizzy, your artwork is always really cool and your partner did really well when she made the bag.

Also, I'm completely jealous of DesignVigilante and Danispring getting to meet.  That'd be like my dream come true.  Perhaps one day when I don't live in the frozen north.

Tanquiel, I'm glad you liked the wrapping job.  I think I had entirely too much fun with that package.

Linnybelle I adore tie-dye, did you see that there is a dyeing swap just started...I am sooooo tempted. but it is a fine weather thing, well the buckets of dye and fabric that I do...and the mess I make, it really needs to be outside...and the weather sucks here right now!

Title: Re: Make-a-Friend Round 3 Gallery

I hadn't seen the tye dye swap.  Sadly, it's winter here and will be for the next three more months at least, so it's out for me for a bit.

On a swap related note, I love seeing all the differences in the packages!  It definitely makes it fun to look at.

Oh, and its not your monitors, the box is filled with tons of pink  ;D

She here is what I gave to DesignVigilante

A scarf I crocheted ^^

A WIP bag

Two full Red Heart skiens

A hello kitty and a DIY frame

Heart bracelet, Hellokitty tags, a 6x6 pad of bristal paper, a cute card, and 4 lollipops (In the back there is a small bag, filled with candy. Its for her DH )

A teabag holder, a mini cookbook (With reicpes from my kitchen), a pack of blank recipe cards (with matching pen), A vitaman shake pack, and two giant milk chocolate candy bars rewrapped in scrapbook paper.

And this one is just for fun  :D

PS. Sorry the colors in the first pic sucks, it was before I white balanced my camera   ::)

This lovely package was waiting for me when I got home from an extended business trip and it was such a lovely surprise - THANKS SO MUCH EOCrafter!!!!

First the AWESOME ice cube trays (i'm ice cube obsessed) Then there are lovely Martha stewart stickers (our fav lady) 2 adorable bird stamps and a cute "chinese" carton that had some delightful homemade kitty treats that my cats went nutso for.  They are like cat crack - I can see why your cat ripped a bag open EOC :)

Then she made me some LOVELY handmade cards with the stam I sent her last round ( seriously the are just fabulous!) Some fabric (as we are both quilters and cant get enough) and some animal cookie cutters that she used to make me the BEST animal cracker/sugar cookies - I ate them in like 3 seconds.  I'm always surprised when people don't post picures of the food they recieve - but now I see why.

Such a wonderful package THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Mine is on the way and maybe you have it - I post it from the grocery store because the post is open on Sunday - but sometimes I think they're like the last place to get picked up from.

Hello!  I got my awesome package from Cheebz, about a week ago.. I think, I have been really sick so time has kinda blurred for me.  But anyway, Here are the pics of my awesome package from my awesome partner.

The whole she-bang!

A pair of Thair fisherman pants that she made and dyed herself, oodles of embroidery floss, stabilizer/transfer for embroidery, including some that she drew Walter, the butterfly winged walrus on( He was a swap item from a long time ago! ), a bag o' cool jewelry things to be used in jewelry, a forest stamp and a fairy stamp and an ink pad, CUTE hair thingies that i am supposed to share with my daughters (shhh! I haven't told them that yet), some leather for me to try my hand at making hair thingies, cool pictures for my wall, and chocolates! (we know I was deathly ill- the chocolates are all still intake.

My favorite items from the soon to be jewelery bag.

The pics that are gettig framed this weekend and going up in my bed room.

My other pics did not come out. I will take close ups of anything else people want to see.  If you ever find your self partnered up with ms Cheebz count yourself lucky! She is awesome!

Here is my second package from the lovely Tanquiel:

The whole group:

The fabrics:

Tanquiel sent three different colors and types of velvet, a black, a purple, and a blue piece for my future plushie endeavors.  She also sent a green and orange tye dyed piece with gold glitter sprinkled all over it, a piece of purple cord (for plushies as well) and a piece of strawberry fabric that my mom is eying up.

The papers:

I'm planning a card making binge this weekend, since I have it off and these will be fabulous to craft with.

The sweet Australian stamps:

There are some awesome ones in here.  My favorite set is the one of conservation ones, they say things like "save energy" and "drive smart" and they have tiny pictures of the things they are advocating conservation of on them.

The adorable sea foam anigarami, Sirena:

She is the cutest, softest thing ever.  I love her and she is currently sitting right next to my computer.  The picture doesn't show how fuzzy she is.  She was wrapped in a piece of apple fabric that I love.  I'm trying to think up a project worthy of it.

A crocheted basket, with a beaded edge:

This is a teal wire basket, with blue beads around the top.  Tanquiel said she liked to work with unusual materials and I happen to love wire things.

And last, but certainly not least:

I couldn't get a good picture of this pendant and I've been wearing it all day since I got it and have grad plans to wear it the next two days too.  I can't wear necklaces at work, so I'm savoring my days off.   It has a black stone in the middle and is wire wrapped to the top and has blue irridescent leaves wrapped around the top edge.  It's also on an adjustable cord, so I can wear it with all of my little black dresses.

And that was that.  Thank you so much to Tanquiel and all the organizers!  I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the swap!

Here are the pics of the package two from Saor. I received two and half weeks ago and haven' t gotten my s**t together enough to post the pics of the lovely things she sent. I honestly needed two pick up my camera and walk two meters but no. So I totally deserve negative feedback for that. Anyways..to the pics. I loved everything she sent. Stupidly I didn't take individual picture of the scarf she knitted but it is amazing. The jewel tones and the pattern she used...I love it!!! Then she sent self-made earrings, which my sister decided suits much better for her. She is seriously annoying.

All in all Saor sent me: two Amy Butler- fat quarters, black and white thread, scarf, earring and KOOL-AID!!!!

Hey guys!  Since my partner is still sick (I think  :D)  I'm going to post pictures of my last package that I sent to her!
I decided to send her some knitting stuff since she said she wants to learn...

My large project was a set of tea towels for her kitchen.  I hope she likes them!

And I sent alot of other stuff too! ;D

For my three favorites, I picked a couple of Audrey Hepburn movies, some cupcake socks (because I love cupcakes) and some yummy snacks to eat while watching the movies!   I also sent some sewing notions (fuzzy chenille strips, sequins, ribbon roses...)  I hope you like them all Amy!  Get to feeling better, okay?   ;)

For package # 2, crazy4bags went crazy with the fabric selections -- she sent very generous portions (up to a yard!) of a whole bunch of really fantastic fabrics, some of which were super cool vintage selections:

She also sent a whole bunch of paper supplies in a variety of colors and textures for my paper crafts!:

She made these gorgeous cards, with this really cool spirograph pattern thread in the middle:

I loooove jellyfish and she made this awesome handpainted shirt:

She made this terrific reversible corduroy and plaid bag (so well made -- awesome!)

..and last but not least, some coveted coffee... mmmmm... coffeee

Duuuuude... I'm so totally spoiled!  Thanks so much crazy4bags!

Dannispring240 and I exchanged our final packages last night. We went on yet another double date and had a fabulous time! But what was even more fabulous, is all the wonderful things Danni gave me! This time I got it correct and took pictures of the package I RECEIVED, not the package I gave, haha. ;D Anyway, on to the loot!
(I took half the pictures yesterday and half the pictures today since I wanted to take better pictures of certain items)

First off, some more yarn (I can NEVER have enough yarn!) and 4 granny squares to add to the afghan I am collecting squares for

An ultra cute bag with matching zipper pouch and fabric coasters

a baggie full of knitting stitch markers, clip on flowers (which can be worn in my hair OR on one of my many hats), cupcake toppers with various messages, a magnetic picture frame, and a weekly dinner planner with magnet for my fridge

Closer pictures of the stitch markers, there are 20 in all and came with a ring to attach it to my WIP bag

A GIANT ziplock bag of scrapbooking supplies for my DIY kit (the thing literally weighed 3 or 4 pounds!)

Here is what was inside of that giant bag

And last but DEFINITELY not least...HIS AND HER MONSTER BEANIES!! Modeled by my dorky husband and myself ;D

Thanks Danni for everything! I enjoyed swapping with you and I feel like I've truly made a great friendship with you and I know we will be hanging out and personal swapping far beyond this swap! Thanks again. ;D

It includes: A COW scarf, orange fingerless mittens, some fabric, yarn, a recipe for Quinoa soup with some Quinoa (is that right?), some tea with a lovely mug to go with it, beads and a kit for needlebinding-which looks like so much fun...

A close-up of then mittens:

And a close-up of the coolest freakin' scarf ever:

Thanks, pseudo! I hope yours gets there soon!! :)

I received from bookworm 7155 this week. I'm just waiting for light to photograph by. My husband is working on our wiring, so I'm limited in light sources right now. I'm hoping to get home in time to catch daylight some night. I'll for sure get pictures tomorrow!! She made me the awesomest placemats!! Prepare to be jealous, all  :)!!

So, yesterday I received package 2 from Michowl!!!

Here's the pictures of what she sent  :P

Most of what she sent came in this super cute Penguin tin (as you'll see I love penguins lol)

Inside the tin, was a 1/4yd piece of penguin fabric that I want to make something with now.. I'm being impatient lol, some paper for my random paper crafts, happy feet stickers lol, and a cute penguin card

also inside the tin was a few zippers and some paint brushes (which will get used very soon as now I have brushes to make spots for a box i want to decorate) along with the box was a set of measuring cups because I LOVE to cook, as well as 2 mini canvas for me to play around with

For the crafted portion of pkg 2,

She made me a SUPER AWESOME pencil case that has already made it's way into my backpack!!!

A cute black and white safety pin bracelet which got worn all day today

and last but certainly not least:

Some awesome recipe cards inspired by my love of Nightmare before Christmas and all things Tim Burton lol...

some of the recipes themselves... I cant wait to try one of the drink recipes... just have to have a certain BF of mine pick up some stuff I'm not legally allowed to drink  ::) lol  ;)

and just as an added thing, lol

An Edward Scissorhands comic from the newspaper lol... I just so happen to be watching that movie at this very moment lol
and incase you cant read it, Edward is saying "Damn, I can never beat this guy at rock paper scissors"  ;D

Thanks for everything Michowl!!!

I got a wonderful package(#2) from NiinaMaria a little while ago. I got the day after an operation so it cheered me up:)

A elegant china cup and saucer pin cushion. Since I am a messy crafter I am worried it would get broken if I left in my craft room so I have it on my dressing table holding pins and needles and safety pins and brooches. You can see the beautiful box it all came in.

Lovely vintage style pouch and apron and purple yarn. I love the colour of the yarn and the pouch reminds me of a purse my granny gave me as a little girl. I will post a picture of the pouch and yarn later.

Inside the pouch - embroidery floss(clever stuff in a package as opposed to a skein), a mini embroidery hoop, buttons(cute) and notions. I have been getting into embroidery lately so was delighted with these. Check out the lovely purple bow appliqué.

Clever apron made form a tea-towel. It has a very cute vintage/1950s feel.

I have been wanting a needle roll forever - but hadn't the courage to put my sewing skills to the test. Niina made me this beautiful one. I put it to use immediately. I love the fabric - it was inspired by my love of Japanese design. It fits all my needles.

Sorry for the delay in posting.

Ugh! My husband has been in the kitchen all day installing lights. I'm waiting for him to clean up so I can take pictures.

Love the needle roll.

Hey Saor!

No worries about posting late as I wasn't too quick with it either. We can always redeem ourselves on package three :D
Happy that you've found use for everything I sent. I had hard time parting with the bow but since I haven't used it in two years, I doubt I ever will and you told me you liked jewel tones so I thought you might find use for it. Maybe as a prop when you photograph your jewellery.
Anyways, got to get back to work with the package three.

Okay, thanks again to bookworm 7155 for the awesome package!! She sent me the awesomest placemats for my kitchen. My hubby doesn't often get excited about swap packages, but even he was excited for these.

I took pictures this morning. I was hoping to get them all out on the table on display, but my hubby and FIL just replaced the wiring and the light in the kitchen, so the microwave is still on the kitchen table (don't ask). So, I took pictures of them one at a time. Please ignore the mess that is my kitchen right now.

I took a lot of pictures (there were six placemats!!), so I'll do a combo of big pictures and thumbnails.

The back fabric and border of the previous one.

Back fabric and border.

Back fabric. (It gets a big picture because it's going to be my placemat...)

Or maybe this one will...

Actually, I think I'll just have to have a new placemat every night because I really do love them all!

Thanks, bookworm, for being such an awesome swap partner!! I'm sooooo glad we were paired up!!

I received another amazing package from zuliblu!

She sent me a bunch of stuff that I will be using in my soon to be open pre-school  :D

A herb growing starter kit:

It has my favorite herb, parsley! And chives (that I have also been wanting), and basil, and oregano! She sent some plant sticks to go with it and two cute little pots for growing watermelon and sunflowers! I am going to save the last two to do with the kids when I open  :)

Since I am a big Spider-man fan she sent some Spider-Goodies:

Playing cards (which I happen to collect  ;) ) and temporary tattoo tape! So fun!

Some fun rings and hair clip:

Very cool and fit my personality well  :)

Action shot:

The apple ring goes particularly well with my new journal!

Zuliblu sent me this amazing ATC, her very first I might add:

I love it! It was hard to get a good picture, but I think I was able to capture it pretty well.  :) I am going to have to come up with a really good way to display this.

And lastly, my absolute favorite thing (hard to pick with all the other amazing goodies):

Coffee art for my kitchen!!!! Shown with ATC as size reference. Oh man, I love this painting so much! I will probably hang it in the dining room so it isn't close to kitchen hazards (like moisture). I love the style, the swirls in the steam are fantastic.  :D I love love love it!

I'm actually in love with my whole package  :) Thanks again zuliblu!!!! You were a terrific swap partner!

I receieved a fabulous package from phizzychick...the stuff is awesome as ever...she is amazing,

prepare to be very jealous!
first out of the package was this incredible piece of artwork, I love phizzy's work, but this is just wonderful, I adore it beyond measure

then there is this brilliant set of cards, I always need blank cards and  these are great, plus some glitter...i adore glitter and some heart shaped cardboard blanks, these will be so useful as they are so much more regular than I could possibly cut, there is also a very cut broach (is that how you spell it?) with feathers...In the middle of this picture is the craft kit and it is brilliant, it is an inchy making kit...inchies are my new obsession, teeny tiny pieces of art work, Phizzy send me blanks and papers and embellisments but also she hand made a little book of instructions, which is so cute and (as ever) very well done

this is a close up of the book

she also sent me this wonderful little dotee doll (I love the word dotee btw, in ireland as a term of endearment we use the word dote...like that child is such a dote, it means cute and sweet) I have her hanging in my kitchen above the cooker as a little kitchen goddess.

and then the most wonderful book came to light. An altered book started by Phizzy with plenty of pages for me to add to. I think I might make this a travelling book. What I love is that it is in Irish! here are a few pages.

thank you so much Phizzychick, for being such an amazing partner.

Also some adorable earrings in my colors:

And my favorite, a Apron with a ruffle bottom and a pocket in the yummiest fabric:

I should have posted these pictures sooner, but my folks are visiting and I have a terrible cold! Boo! One item that my partner edelC sent is very much in use at the moment!! Hankies! :D

The whole package! Bits that don't have individual photo's are the book of nursery rhymes, yarns, mini magazine envelopes, crochet circle, Moon incense and leaf tea! I was spoiled!

A bag, but no ordinary bag...

A picnic bag, complete with pocket & napkin!

Painted tree pillow cases for my bed! I love the little heart leaves!

Awesome crochet kit (shown rolled up in that first picture)

I have no excuse now! :D

Heey all.

I received Wednesday or Thursday but haven't had the time to post pictures before now due to school. I received a wonderful package full of good and not just one starters kit but three!! Awesome^^

Here a picture of the entire package:

First the eatable goods. Two of her favorite chocolate drinks and two kinds of candy. I haven't seen the poofed rice and maiz since I was little. And I loved them back then :P I'm so gonna look forward to eating those!

Some super super soft yarn. I don't know what to make of these but it has to be something like a hat or a scarf so I can feel the softness all the time^^

Some beads, awesome buttons and an example of how much she likes the paper yarn I send her in the second package:

Closeup of the buttons. I love these:

The three starters kits. This one is for writing, as Wondra loves to write:

A tatting starters kit. How awesome is this?! I've been wanting to try out this for a while^^ I did however have to substitute with another not so thin yarn to begin with.

And then for the ATC starters kit. I have to confess that I actually had no idea what all that ATC was about. I didn't even know what is was :o But now I do^^

As you see on the picture she also made me an ATC. It's adorable and in the holiday theme:

She also made these adorable cards:

A sweet necklace:

Unfortunately there was a great hole in the package so I really hope nothing had fallen out of it in the mail.

But thank you so so much Wondra. It has been really fun to get to know a little more about a partner than usual .... it just made the crafting for you more fun^^

I'm glad you liked it! Looks like there was something missing though...Now that I know which bits you recieved I can re-craft the other. It'll probably turn out better this time 'cause my first go was a bit rough. Oh, and there was a surprise in there from the dh too. He's gonna be sad that it didn't make it. :(

I got a final fabulous package from Taniquel a few days ago, but haven't had a chance to post until now. I got the package after an overnight shift, so it was a lovely thing to wake up to.

Anyway, here's the loot... :)
First off, the large item, a wonderful green fringe beaded bracelet.

I only took it off for work and I'm still finding all sorts of interesting beads.

I also got a beading starter kit, which included all sorts of threading materials, pliers, and two beading books.  "Australian Beaders" and "Bead It".  I am looking forward to starting projects from them soon.  The pliers and the black tubing to cover memory wire were Taniquel's favorite things.  I've been looking for a good beader kit and now I have my own! She also sent a box full of beads and other accessories.

I also got a little poly clay starter kit, with three different colors and a razor knife thing to cut it with.  I can't find poly clay locally (small town), so I was excited to see it. This also has the bracelet in it, it's a bit more in the light.

Here's the whole group shot with everything all tidied up.

This has been such a fun swap!  Thanks to my partner and the moderators.

I received my last paecel from NiinaMaria.

Notice boards made form place mats!

An embroidery kit with supplies and patterns. I had asked for embroidery supplies - the patterns were a great ideas since my printer is broken.

Floss and fabric. This floss is clever - it always stays in the plastic - so you only pull out as much as you need. Will  probably  make napkins from the white fabric.

A book full of patterns. Some of them:

The floss is great. I think the brand is German. Well, trust the Germans to engineer something handy :D
I also sent in the package a postsecret and the wall art from package 1. Did you get those? I sent another swap package at the same time and it's entirely possible that I put the stuff in the other envelope. Also after I returned from the post office, I found the card I wrote to explain my items :D Seems to be that this month haven't been the most organized...

Hello everyone, so I've been pretty absent, but I received my final packages.  I loved everything I got in all three packages, and after memory card disaster, I've retook all pictures and will be posting everything her.  :)

Package #3

Here is a lovely notecard with the info on what she made

I love love love these hair clips, i'm wearing them right now  ;D

This is the kit that I got.  she chose this fabric because i'm a huge jim henson fan! I love it!  It is an embroidery kit.

These are three of her favorites that my partner sent me.  I've never seen the movie, I love this brand of hot coco, and this is actually one of my favorite lip glosses too! the one i have is almost out, so this came at a perfect time  ;D

These are a few extras I got, I love the owls, birds, and the note pads.

The last thing is going to come in handy when I go on the road in two weeks.  I love the colors, and it has my logo and it is a perfect fit! I also like the mock-up zune, he he.

Package #2

I got some felt and buttons to add to my stash, these are two of my favorite materials!!

Next are two  handmade journals and one ceramic bowl.  The bowl is really pretty, I don't want to use it for food, it is too nice, maybe i'll fill it with some buttons.  :)

Finally is some extras.  more owl goodies (can never have too many  ;D)

Package #1

I lost the original pictures that I took, so I put everything together.  the only thing missing is the book the hot zone, my boyfriend had taken it two days after I got the package and started reading it.  He finished the book, loved it, but couldn't remember where he put it when I wanted to take pictures.

here is some local art

I had a great partner, both of us ran into some things that caused us to be behind, but It was worth the wait for everything!!

WOw, how time flies when you start a new job...
I'm (Finally) posting pictures of pkg. 3 from michowl, sorry it took so long to post!!!

Her favorite things:

Some sculpey and a hilarious fly wind up toy that my friend stole to go with her ladybug

And further proof of how much she enjoys buttons lol

Michowl sent me an awesome Jewelry making kit, I didn't get a picture of the "sample" bracelets she made for me before they got stolen as well lol, but She did make me a resin piece with a litte rat/mouse (my rat just passed away not to long ago but when we started the swap I'd mentioned I had a pet rat) and she also made me a replica of Jarith's necklace from The Labyrinth!!!

And, apparently, at some point in time, She stalked me so well that she went to my older sister (Cuppiecakes83) to get advice lol, she told her "When in doubt, make something Nightmare Before Christmas" lol
So, Michowl made me a SUPER adorable Sally's dress Apron

A Jack and Zero paintbrush apron

and finally, SO CUTE!!!

Another felt monster that was inspired by Jack lol

Thanks so much Michowl!!!

I have received Saor's package ages ago and here are the pics. I didn't want to take any picture's until I had cleaned my place, where I have
finally a proper studio set-up. This means I have a separate computer table and a craft/art table, latter which is now sitting in front of window. Plenty of natural light and plenty of space.
Here is the entire loot. I receive a nice embroidered tote, which I'm either to use as WIP- bag OR I'm removing the handles and make it into a cushion for my balcony (I have big plans regarding my outdoor space). Yarn scraps. I specifically asked for leftovers as I am an aspiring amigurumist. The small rolls are Kool Aid dyed and the colours are yummy! Earrings and a necklace in my face colours; yellow necklace and turquoise earrings. And the best of them all... Rei Shimura novel! I've already read it four times!!!

And the embroidery detail

Thanks Saor!
