Title: My cotton fabric is rolling. help, please
Post by: justanyothergurl on February 27, 2005 09:25:31 AM
I am making a cotton halter top at the moment, and I cut a long strip of fabric for the strap. The problem is, the fabric will not stay flat. It rolls. I tried ironing it, but it just starts rolling again. Has this happened to any of you, and if so can you share some tips or suggestions for getting it flat? I would really appreciate it. Thank you ahead of time!

Is it T-shirt fabric?  If so, that's the nature of the beast.

It shouldn't be a problem after you hem it.

Try sewing Bias tape on the hem.
