Title: Purse from Swap!
Post by: bittersweet_symphony on July 14, 2008 09:55:11 AM
I made this purse for a Favorite Movie-themed swap I just finished and thought I had lost all the images I took of it (in what I like to call the Great Computer Crash of '08)-- only to remember I uploaded some on here several weeks ago *whew*! The girl I was crafting for recieved and she loved it  :D... if interested, here's a link to the gallery : https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=254364.0 (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=254364.0). This was my first fully constructed purse and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

I handbeaded the all the clusters on the purse...

Beading close-up...

Close-up of strap...

Interior (lined with ribbon on top as well as on outside)...

Thanks for looking!

Hi hun,

Great work, and to sew all the clusters on so neatly....well done....clapping circle happening here as I give you a solitary round of applause!  I'm also liking the shape of the bag...is the gusset done in one piece?

Hugs n Happy sewing

Love the polka dots with the blue. :) Great job!

Out of curiosity, what movie was it themed after?

Nope, they were all individually cut and sewn together from a pattern I sketched up. Thank you!  :D

The bag actually wasn't from any movie, but I made with my sorta partner's (it was a round-robin style swap) color combinations in mind. I wanted something to hold all her stuff in that she could use, too.  :)

Thanks for comments!  :D
