Title: Small Mystery Swap Round 1
Post by: mom2blu on May 23, 2008 12:26:14 PM
NEW Send Out by July 5th!!

This is my first time hosting a swap so I hope I post this correctly.

Swap name: Small Mystery Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: mom2blu
Sign-up date range: 5-23 through 5-31 (or until full)
Date to send item by: July 1st

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): 20

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? nope
If so, which country?

Age requirement? Must be 13

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES (several times!)
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES
- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 13 years old: YES
- Participant must have wists or etsy favs with a minimum of 50: YES

Details of swap:
This is going to hopefully be a fun quick swap, because it is small. It is a mystery swap and there are quite a few mysteries to it. You do not select themes, or pick items to recieve. You do not know who is sending to you, or where in the world they are from. You will receive a partner to mail too, then make 3-5 points worth of items to mail to them. This swap requires some stalking to decide what items would best suit your partner.  Remember, your partner CANNOT know who you are, that ruins one of the mysteries, so no writing to say hi, or ask questions. That is why your wists needs to speak for itself. Remember that the person you are sending to may not be the person sending to you! If you'd like email your partner secret anonymous notes or e-cards, just be sure you use an anonymous email!

Points are as follows:
Large- 3 points
Medium - 2 points
Small - 1 point

Sizes are described as:

By Time
-Big=3 or more hours
-Medium=2 or more hours
-Little=2 or less hours

By Size
-Big=A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse
-Medium= one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf
-Small- Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks

By Price
-Big= $30 or more
-Medium=$10-$30 dollars
-Small=$10 or less

Please know that some form of wishlist is required. You need to have a wist or etsy favs or something similiar (or both!) with a minimum of 50 items. The more the better. Just remember that the clearer you are about what type of items you like the more likely you are to receive items that suit you. You do not nessecary have to craft items exactly as seen on the wists, they can simply be ideas of your partners likes and dislikes.

If I forgot anything, or was unclear just call me an idiot and tell me what I forgot!  :) Also I am very chatty, so please feel free to pm me if you need more info, craft idea help, questions, or just if you want to brainstorm.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address including the country
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country?
Confirm that are at least 13 years old (yes/no)

What is the link you your wishlist(s):

If you were a crayon what color would you be?:

What color crayon is your enemy?:

What section on Craftster do you frequent the most?:

What types of items would you enjoy receiving (ie, jewelry, wall-art, purses, etc):

What items would you not enjoy?:

What items would make you want to stab them with a fork and throw them out of a moving vehicle?:

If you were a shoe, what brand/size/style/color would you be?

Do you have a certain style of decor in your house/dorm/apartment/room under the stairs?:

Jewelry, love it or hate it?:

How big should a purse be? Please pick one:
a) small enough to hold a credit card and a maxi pad and nothing else
b) it should hold a wallet and a large set of keys
c) it needs to hold a wallet, large set of keys, several maxi pads, and exactly 4 tea bags
d) I like keeping my kitchen sink in there

Stuffies/dolls/poppets, love to squeeze them or love to squeeze the head right off of them?

Are these questions insane? Or insanely funny?

If you were a model would be like Twiggy or Emma? (aka what sizes clothes fit you best?)

When you are online, do you frequent sites other then craftster? If so, why?   (Ie do you have a blog, flickr, or other site of your own?)

Anything else?

ADDED QUESTION!!- Do you have any allergies, or allergens that your partners should know about?

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide (https://www.craftster.org/swapsinfo.html) to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

This sounds really fun!  A couple of questions (might have looked over the answers)
Do we find out who crafted for us at the end of the swap, like after everyone has received... or is it an unsolved mystery?

Do we send you a delivery confirmation number?  If so, do we get a delivery confirmation number or a message from you when our package was sent?  (so we know to keep an eye out for it?)  Or is that part of the mystery? ;D

I'm really considering joining, hope I make up my mind before it's full!

To be honest I didn't think of these questions. Why doesn't everyone give me their input of how they'd like it done, and we can go with the majority.

I personally would vote for finding out who sent to us, like a note included in the package, but would vote for not getting notice of when the package would come (unless there is a good reason)

I was in a mystery swap once before, and if I remember correctly, we revealed in the package and were sent a DC#. Of course, we don't have to do it this way, but I think this worked out nicely.

Reasons why I think we should be sent a DC:
1. It's summer, so some people may be going on vacation (I am toward the end of the swap)
2. I've had packages that were put on my neighbor's porch. So if I didn't know it was coming, I wouldn't know to look for it.
3. Sometimes the mailmen put the mail in weird places like under a bush or something so it doesn't get stolen. Again, if you don't know it's coming, you won't be looking for it, and would probably overlook something like that!

But, that's just my opinion.

join the fun klum, you only have to make 3-5 points! That's miniscule!

That's the part that's tempting me!  But I keep promising myself (and the boy) that I will be going on a bit of a swap hiatus.  And yet, here I am almost maxed out and thinking of joining two more. (This and the FOC Raffle Swap)

Besides, don't you want to get Blu's package before encouraging me to join this swap?  What if I join, then you get his stuff, and you are like, "crap, I wish I hadn't encouraged her to join my other swap.  I'll make sure we are not partners again."
LOL (Sorry I usually find myself funnier than others do... :P )

We could always put a letter in the package revealing ourselves to the person we sent to.  As for the DC's we could sent them to the organizer and then she can send it to our partner.  I don't know if that would be too much work for you, mom2blu.

I just signed up, this sounds like lots of fun  ;D

For the DC# maybe either send it to the organizer so she'll know its sent or agree on a day that everyone will send if mailing international and another day for domestic mailing?

I'm ok with not getting a DC number and having the package arrival a surprise. But I would like to know who sent it to me.

Maybe everyone that wants to have a DC number could get one (via the organizer as to not spoil the secret sender surprise) and everyone else just finds out when it shows up?

Post by: mom2blu on May 25, 2008 10:54:09 AM
Okay, here's how we can do it, hopefully everyone will be staying in touch anyway, and I don't mind the extra work.

Everyone will PM me with the DC number.  If you will be going on vacation or anything and NEED to know if it is coming PM me and tell me. Otherwise I will just keep track of them, and if you don't announce that you received but should have I'll tell you. Then you can investigate. Then it can be a surprise (unless you really need to know) but they will also be tracked.

AND

In the package you can announce who you are to your partner!

Sound good??

Also, this swap only has 8 spots left, and I suspect we may fill up early. Would everyone rather me get a co-organizer and let more people play? Or are you super excited and want partners early?? I'm willing to do whatever everyone prefers!

There were a few things that I think should be on the questionnaire, which I didn't think of until after I sent mine in, but shouldn't we have something about allergies?  I don't have any allergies but I have allergens in my house.  I would hate to be shipping some thing to someone and have them get hives because there is animal hair or dander on my box.  It's not like I let me animals on my projects but I know that hair makes it's way into everything!  Also for people who smoke or are allergic to smoke, this could be a problem too.  Just something you might want to add.

well we are full!!!!! I'm hoping to have partners info out by noonish tomorrow (hopefully earlier)

remember if you have questions for your partner, DON'T pm them! Write me and I'll gladly relay!!

I hope everyone has fun!

Don't forget to PM me with the DC number when you mail.

I think teaser pics would be especially awesome (and tormentous!) with this swap, because you don't know if it is for you or not, but you're not required to do them.

Off to do some partnering!! Truth be told I had it done, then erased one name and screwed up my whole chart!

Alright, partners are out!!!

If I messed up please do let me know. I know I messed up on one partner but I also wrote to fix it.  My computer hates the swap form craftster gives, so if you think your partners questionaire is missing a question let me know. My computer may have eaten it!

Thanks for getting everything sorted out so fast, mom2blu!

I love my partner's taste too! It's going to be hard to give away whatever I craft for her. I might have to make two of everything. ;)

I'll work on getting my wist updated this evening so that the lucky crafter that gets me has a little more info. I'll PM the link to mom2blu if that's ok. I have to say that browsing the web for neat things to add to a wist is dangerous...oh my gosh, there is some seriously cute and fun stuff to be had/made out there.

just a reminder that you may want to be careful in your stalking.

for example wisting your partners items, can be a clue to them if their wists isn't very public.

don't forget that I'll gladly relay messages!

I have been stalking and searching for tutorials and I now know TWO of the things I will be making!!! Now to figure out how many points they are both worth and to figure out what else to make, I might just have to spoil my partner since there are a hundred other ideas I have.  :D Yay!

I wasn't planning on buying anything for this swap, since I already have a huge stash of supplies... but my husband and I found ourselves in Joann's yesterday and I just couldn't help myself!!! I bought the cutest fabric for 2-3 of my ideas.  :D Not sure if I will use one of them, I have to re-read my partners questionnaire to see if I think she will like it. But the other fabric I bought is fantastic!!! and perfect for two of my ideas

I haven't quite figured out what to make my partner.  I checked out her wists, but it didn't give me much ideas.  I know I will eventually come up with something.  Just gotta think a little harder.  Anyone else have this problem?

You can ask mom2blu- I'm having that problem too!  Or should I say WAS.  Mom2 blu was able to help me figure out something to make my partner :) I'm usually really good at figuring out things to make but this partner really stumped me.  If you need any help (and I'm not your partner  ;) ) PM me and I'd be glad to help!!

When I first looked at my partners wist I was stumped but as the day went on I took clues from items and posts and at some points would combine them.  I really hope he/she likes everything. I even picked up a new skill just for him/her!  So hello partner. You don't know who I am but when you do you will know what I'm talking about :)

Oh yeah, and my JOann shopping trip took 3 hours but was very productive!  Now I officially have all of my materials and I am working on all of the projects at once!

Happy Crafting!

I might be hitting up joanns today! I started a knitting project but despite my closets full of yarn don't have one suitable for my partner. so even though I am trying to destash I have to go buy more!!

and yes, if you need help pm me, I pretty much live on my computer and am more then happy to help.  because fo the "mystery partner" part some partners had to be kinda random, so I knew not everyones taste would match, and some people may be stumped.  Besides I like to think I'm good at figuring out projects, just not so good with making them!

and I finished one super small (in time) and when I held it up to the light on my sewing machine I thought it looked really interesting so I took a picture:

One of my projects may need to go on hold as I think I am short handed on the embroidary floss I needed for a small part of my project.  It's sad because the closest crafting place is 40 mins away. When you live in a town of 600 you are sure to be far from EVERYTHING. ::)

False Alarm! Well kind of.  I used a different technique to get the job done. I actually wish that I had done it throughout the whole project! It doesn't look out of place at all, thank god.  Yay! no wasting gas for a 29 cent piece of embroidary floss!  ;D

I love how everyone is updating eachother. It makes me feel like we are all a team instead of "hello"(at sign ups) and "hello everybody"(after a month). It makes you feel less alone andkeeps you motovated.

Oh yeah, and Im done with one large(based on size and time) item. I would show a peak of something on it but it would give it away to my partner, so I will wait I have some "peak" worthy stuff.  Now to continue with my other projects :)

I'm working on this and the button swap, going back and forth.  (I'm also doing the little odd ball of yarn swap, but there's nothing to do, just mail out balls of yarn.)  I'm signed up for the Jewish themed swap, but no partners have been assigned yet.  So actually, for now I'm crafting this Mystery Swap and the Buttony one.  I might be hitting the craft shops on Tuesday to get some supplies.  Gotta see what I have first.

I practiced making a small this weekend. By time, it ought to be considered an itty bitty since it was surprisingly quick for my first attempt ever at this type of craft. It will also include my best bargain yet - one part of it only cost me 10 cents and can be used for over 50 of these items!

Don't worry, swap partner, I will not be sending you 50 of the same thing. I have something even more exciting planned to make up the remaining points.  ;D

I browsed a few fabric stores this weekend, but did not purchase any fabric yet. I want to hit up at least one of our local shops since they tend to have things that you can't find at Joann or Hancock. My creation will involve some sort of fabric, but that's all I am going to say for now. I am also waiting for the perfect fabric for my swap partner to speak to me. I feel certain that I will know when I find THE ONE. Unless I find two that are equally perfect.

We just got back from a vacation (well, sort of) and if I can ever find the time to hit the local fabric shop, I will be getting started with my craft. I've been having that lag in motovation for one of my projects. I guess I've had so much crafty inspiration latly that I just lost interest in that one. I will finish it though...Just not as early as I planned. I picked up some textile medium today for some stenciling. It's not for this swap but Im picking up a new trade.  I've screen printed before but I don't have the supplies, so I figured I will stencil for now.

Let me further my "lack of motovation" explanation. The reason why I lost it in this particular project is because I am at a point in the project that is rather dificult for me because it involves lots of pieces to be exact and it isn't going right. So I am just giving myself some time to steam off and go onto other crafty things so I can proceed later.

I have finished my small project and am started on the large I am making. All that talk about hitting the fabric store and I ended up finding the perfect fabric in my stash. And in just the right amount. Here is a little teaser pic of the fabric I'll be using:

That fabric is very pretty.  Now I wonder what you'll be making and for whom.

I'm working a little slowly on my project.  I have a couple of small things done and am trying hard to come up with a few more ideas.

I went shopping yesterday. Had a heck of a time finding items to copy my partner's wisted item.  Couldn't find the exact stuff but did find something super close.  Now to work on it it tonight!!!

Im so excited that people will be recieving! I have been wanting to see a gallery for quite some time!

As for an update on my progress...nothing new. Im am camping right now(as I do for the whole summer) and I come home to do laundry and such (I live 15 mins away, weird huh?), so I can get on the internet and communicate. I did bring my crafting supplies to finish my last item but I've been so busy the last couple of days and Im heading out for orientation for college this weekend so Im preparing for that.

As for copying someones wist item, it was suprisingly easy for the particular medium I used.  It was exact actually and I was very pleased.  So I have had some luck in this process.

pinklrt, your fabric is beautiful. Everyone is picking out such wonderful fabrics!

ATTN: Stalker
As I am camping and going out of state for about 4 days, please don't post the pictures of my items even if the tracking says I recieved. I will still be getting on the internet randomly with a laptop, so I don't want to see my items online when Im in another state no knowing I even recieved. I do have a camera so I will definatly be putting up the pictures (and if I remember, action shots).   If I recieve, I will be at home so I can immediatly post, but if I don't post I havn't seen my package yet. Thank you ahead of time :)

A couple things, first i want to apoligize for not being very chatty with the group, or being quite short and to the point if you write me a question. I'm havind wisdom teeth trouble (you may remember the antibiotics) and frankly I'm jus no good lately. I'm like a lump of mush. It hurts to talk in real life, and I think i forget it is different when typing! lol I also am just generally limited with computer time, and also start to bable and be incoherent after a few sentences. lol

second- If/when you mail DON'T forget you HAVE to let me know you mailed!!! If you already mailed and didn't notify me, let me know right away!

Hope everyone is crafting away and having fun!

aawww....thats okay, mom2blu!!! although i never had my wisdom teeth taken out, everyone around me has, and i have taken care of them, so i can come and be your servant! change your bloody gauze and such ;). :P.

i am maxed out on swaps and i LOVE it!! there are soo many good ones goign on, it was hard to chose!

this one gets my attention as soon as i finish the DIY kit. i have my ideas, and have even started on them all, just to make sure the patterns are doable and all. they are vintage. ;D.

I have the pieces cut for what will be a medium or large depending on the time it takes to make. And there is enough left over fabric to make something else that I think my partner will like  :D

I started another item.  I finished part of it in 2 evenings.  Now I have to work on the  guts of the project.  I hope I can work it out.  I know I'm talking in riddles, but that's what this is, "A Mystery" swap.

We have a sender!!!!! If you really need to know if your partner sent, let me know, otherwise it's going to be a surprise! If this package doesn't arrive in what seems to be a standard amount of time, or if the DC shows it as delivered and I don't hear from the receiver we'll start looking into it.

The gallery is up, nothing in it yet, https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=252731.0

I'm so excited to see what everyone has!

I'm hoping to mail Monday! Don't forget guys that time is coming up!

Are you going to pm us the tracking number when it is sent?  The mail lady likes to play hide-and-seek with my packages.  I'd like to track it to know when to begin the search lol.

Title: Re: Small Mystery Swap Send by July 1st
Post by: mamarose22 on June 20, 2008 01:02:17 PM
I'm curious...when we finally do send to our mystery partner, do we include our name on the return address or just use our return address so it is still a mystery? or what?  When we PM you,mom2blu, with a DC#, do we also PM the person we are crafting for with the #, or do you?  Or do we finally reveal ourselves at the time of mailing by letting our partner know the DC# ourselves, etc.?

Title: Re: Small Mystery Swap Send by July 1st
Post by: mom2blu on June 20, 2008 01:45:58 PM
In the package you can give away who you are, your craftster username and such.

When you pm me with the DC number I will only notify the person IF they have let me know they need to know. For example if they are going on vacation.

If they don't let me know that they NEED to know, then I will track it for them. When it arrives they need to post RIGHT away to say it arrived. If I don't hear that it arrived I will write to ask them, and advise them to look for it if they need to.

Generally you just need to be aware and expecting a package. If your mail person tends to put them in odd spots then check those odd spots periodically to be sure.

If your package arrives let me know, and if it arrives and you don't let me know then I'll end up letting you know.

Clear as mud?

Thanks, mom2blu.
I have some work to do to finish my swap items.  I sure hope my recipient will like what I've made so far.  I checked her out and she does some pretty good stuff.  I only hope I can come up to her expectations.  I'm not as versatile as she is.

I have a question...
What do you do if the thing you are making your partner suddenly disappears from their wists??  Do you assume they no longer want it and trash it or what?!?

Ooo Thats a tuffy. I have been cautious of doing this for my wist to not cause confusion and such.  I did however delete a couple because either the images got mixed up and I couldn't fix them or there was a simular item on my wist. The situation could also be that they got the item or simular in a swap, so I would check what they recieved in other recient swaps.

So to my stalker, if you made something I deleted then don't worry about it because I will love it  ;)

If it were me, It would depend on how close to done I was. If it was finished, I'd send it anyway, especially if it wasn't to my taste and I made it special just for there style.

If it is close to done, like really close, I'd probably finish and send it anyway if it took a really long time.

It is was really simple or not anywhere near done I'd probably just pick something else.

Just remember this is a mystery swap, and the person should have no real expectations as to what they are getting (besides that it should be well made) so even if they did get one, that just adds to the mystery.

Note to my stalker as well... I was in the Giant Multi Themed Swap and received a ton of great goodies, so I deleted items received off my wist, but I'm great with receiving multiples of items! Especially if it's something kiddie oriented that I deleted!

Title: Re: Small Mystery Swap Send by July 1st
Post by: mamarose22 on June 20, 2008 07:43:13 PM
Most of the items on my recipient's list, are not anything I can duplicate.  I made 2 things that are similar to her wists.  I'm working on an item that although it isn't the same style or medium, but is the same type of item on her wist.  I also plan to make something that is along the theme of some of the things on her wist and her home decor.
It isn't always possible to re-create some things on a wist list as a lot of times it is manufactured items.  I guess the best thing we can do is make things that go along with the theme she displays on her list and/or her home decor, or personal preference for clothing/accessories etc..

Well, I cut out my fabric earlier this week and will be crafting this weekend. Hoping to send out early next week, hurray! I didn't copy any of my crafts directly from my partner's wist, but used it to get a better idea of what kind of things my person might like. I'm hoping that what I'm making will be something that my partner will like. If not, I suppose my partner can always give it to someone else for a birthday present. ;)

Title: Re: Small Mystery Swap Send by July 1st

I do clean up my wist from time to time too, espacially after receiving from a swap. But I think that if it was on someone wists, they put it there because they liked it. So I'm sure they wouldn't mind receiving the item at all even if they deleted it from their wists. And also, two people wouldn't do the item the exact same way, even if it's inspired from the same wists item. So personnally, I wouldn't mind receiveing the same item more than once since they'd both be different.

I am officially finished crafting! I can't send it out just yet though because I still have to wrap everything and then I have orientation so I think Wednesday will have to be the day...we will see. Maybe I will bring my items with me to RI so I can send them out there if I have time. It would be cheeper too considering it would be closer than I am to the recipient. Being in Maine, I am far from eveyone!  I am so excited to see how she likes the items I crafted for her!

I wrestled some more with the sewing machine and managed to sew the first of the 12 parts of the _____ ______ ____ for my partner's ________.  Hopefully now that I've got it worked out, the other 11 will go more smoothly.

My eyes are not as young as they were when I learned to thread a sewing machine!

I forgot to read the back of my pattern envelope! I need fusible interfacing but have none. I do have regular interfacing and fusible stuff (forget the name) that I use to fuse fabric to fabric without sewing or using glue... I'm thinking that if I fuse that stuff to my regular interfacing then fuse it to the fabric (like the directions say) that should do the trick.

Has anyone ever tried this before? I'm about 95% sure that it will work.

Title: Re: Small Mystery Swap Send by July 1st
Post by: mom2blu on June 23, 2008 11:40:33 AM
I haven't tried it quite that way kartiana, BUt i have used the fisible web to fuse a type of thin material on instead of interfacing. Just a very very thin material like muslin. It provides the support and such that interfacing using would. To make sure it's clear I used the fusible web that fuses to fabrics together, fused to muslin, then fused the muslin to the fabric of the item instead of interfacing.

I'm not sure seamstresses would approve, BUT it worked.

I was so worried I would have to send late... I got super sick yesterday and was stuck in bed. I'm feeling a little better today and should be able to make some progress on crafting. I was going to try and have everything done so I could send on Friday but just looked at my calendar and thankfully the 1st is Tuesday so I can send then if not tomorrow! The oral surgeon was laughing because besides the fact that i kept cracking jokes as he removed one I was grunting and groaning and he says "now you KNOW that isn't hurting you, so what are you doing that for??" It was because it sounded really weird inside my head! lol  All was well until the novacaine wore off!

I shipped yesterday and PM'd Mom2blu.  Unfortunately, I don't own a camera so I didn't take "farewell" pictures.  My daughter is the one with the camera, and I take pictures when she is able to come over.  She also helps me with posting them.  I didn't want to hold off shipping so I sent it off without having pictures taken.  I'm sure that %$#*&^% has a camera and will post them when received.

I haven't even checked the thread for the last few days.  I worked both jobs yesterday and came home to redo an item so I could get it out in the mail.  But at least I am done with my package and hopefully sometime today Hubby will be putting it in the mail for me!  I hope my partner likes her stuff!

Sent sent sent!!!  :D I didn't have the supplies to make the set that I wanted to make... but I did make a little something extra with what I did have  ;)

I really hope my partner likes everything.

I was out all day today and when I came home I found a package on my front stoop. And what a package it was!  When I opened it up, all the items were neatly wrapped in tissue paper with curled ribbons on each end.  There was a note saying to read it before opening the items and another to read after I finished opening them up.
I starting opening them up and I was flabbergasted at what I received. My stalker saw that I liked roses and cats, and the 1st thing I opened was a large and small crocheted rose.  I can even sew the smaller one onto the other one to make a fuller rose.  By the way, this is my stalker's first swap, and she just learned how to crochet.  the 2nd thing I opened was 5 of the the most adorable polymer clay kitty stitch markers and one of them even has a ball of yarn wrapped around him.  They even came in their own little felt pouch.  the 3rd thing I opened was the most stunning, stuffed, felt embroidered house.  It had potted plants on each side of the door and lots of flower flowers all over. The 4th thing I opened up was a fabulous pin cushion chair with a thread crochet granny doily on the back.  I love it. The next thing I opened up was an altered altoids tin that really ROCKS!  By the way it seems that polymer clay is a new craft of my stalker.  You would never know it by what she's made for me.  The top of the tin is covered in pearl clay with beautiful roses, and the bottom is green with jump-rings and seed beads embedded in it for design and texture.  AND...inside it was a thread crochet bookmark, another adorable poly-clay kitty zipper pull, and a beautiful bottle cap rose pendant.  And on top of all this, she included a couple of purse size tissue packets with roses on it and a box of note cards with a rose design.  You would never know that she is new to polymer clay.  WHAT A FABULOUS PACKAGE!  I just love it all, AlishaMisha.  Yes that's who my mystery partner is.  She is the best!
I know this a lengthy post, but I just had to describe the wonderful things I received from AlishaMisha.  I couldn't have been assigned a better partner.
If you have any pictures, AllishaMisha, please post them.  My daughter (aka my photographer) is preparing for vacation and she won't be able to come over with her camera until she returns.  That's why I tried to go into such detail about everything.
Thank you!  Thank you! AlishaMisha.

Woohoo!  USPS website says the package I sent was delivered today.  So if you haven't yet, you might want to take a look around... there's something for someone... I'm still not saying who!

Dear stalker,

I'm going out of town tomorrow, so probably your package will arrive while I'm gone.  Our houesitters will bring it inside and keep it for me, and I'll be really psyched to see it when I get back.  I'll ask them to email me when it arrives, and I'll pm mom2blu, but I won't be able to open it or post pics until at least Sunday, July 13.  I hope you don't go too crazy before then!  I know I'm always super eager to read my partner's reactions; I'm sorry you'll have to wait.  Thanks for being my stalker/swapper!  (I have pm'd mom2blu about my travel plans as well.)

All but two people have sent, one simply missed judged post office hours, and one couldn't send for other reasons (I don't want to say why or I may give away who.)

I have updated feedback based on what I know so far about who has already recieved. If you KNOW your partner has received, but you don't have feedback yet please let me know.

everyone should be receiving this week! even the late packages will probably arrive by friday.

Don't forget when you receive to post pictures in the gallery.

and if I haven't said it already, thanks everyone for playing, for doing a good job, and for dealing with any new hostess mistakes I made!

Being that July 5th was the due date, everyone should be receiving by now,  I can't wait to see what everyone made and received.

Anyone who is overseas might take a little while longer (am I the only one?) I feel much less nervous now that mom2blu has got my package. I am always worried that whenever I send, it'll get lost in the post!

if you HAVE NOT received let me know asap! This swap should be tied up and finished by now! I know we have two players that had real family emergencies, but other then that everyone should have sent by now and everyones items should be received.

Life has been crazy so I haven't been able to be here as much, but that doesn't mean I wasn't trying to keep an eye on everything.

Hope all is well with everyone!
