Here are my awesome cloths from MandyLikesPie:

The orange is so cute and cheerful, I love it!  And I am really impressed with the basketweave.  It's crocheted and really does look like real basketweave.  I am definitely going to have to learn this stitch, because I want about a thousand more of these. I haven't tried it out yet (too pretty), but it feels like it will be very scrubby. Here's a close-up, I wish I took better pictures:)

And the great orange:

She also sent me some mechanical pencils, since I put in my profile how much I love them.  I'd forgotten about that, but it's true, I really do love mechanical pencils and these are really nice.  And they coordinate with my dishcloths :)

Thanks so much, Mandy!  This was a really fun swap and I love these dishcloths :)  And thanks to kayrun for organizing!  I hope we do another round soon.

Wow, Mandylikespie, you did an awesome job!  I love the citrus dishcloth! It's sooo unique.

But I have goodies of my own!  I just got my package in today from lapoli!  She did an amazing job and truly spoiled me.  When I found out I got her as a swap partner I asked her if she wouldn't mind making one dishcloth for my Mother and one for me... and she was sooo sweet about it!  Not only did she make one for me and one for my Mother.. but she made two for me and Three! for my Mother!  I know.. I know.. I got spoiled! lol  She also included this set of the most adorable little soaps and they just so happen to smell very yummy!  Okay.. enough gabbing! ... here are the pics!

Here's a good overall pic of everything together

Here's a closer pic of some of the detail on one of my favorite dishcloths!  Don't you just love the scallop trim??

And here's my favorite!.. I love love love the color combo of aqua and pink and I adore the design on this one.. kind of like a basketweave.. it's beautiful!

And here's an upclose view of the cute little soaps.

Thank you so so so so much Lapoli!  You are such an amazing partner.  I hope you love everything you get, too!  And thank you so much for making some dishcloths for my Mother.  I know she is going to absolutely LOVE them!

~Amy Rose~

Awesome dishcloths, lapoli! I really like the knitted brick cloth.

Here is a link to the basketweave cloth pattern that I made for wootwoot, if anyone is interested in giving it a try. It's so easy but looks so pretty when it's finished! I made one for me too the other night.  :) http://www.jimsyldesign.com/dishbout/cpatterns/basketweave.html

Photos of my goodies from wootwoot to come tonight!

You're welcome! I'm glad you like them. The green one's supposed to be an owl - I saw you had a lot of owl-y things on your wists so when I found the owl cloth pattern it seemed like a perfect fit! ;D And the other one, I just liked the pattern :D

Here are the cloths I received from wootwoot a couple of days ago.

I plan to do the kitchen at my new house (closing on it on Friday--yay!) in a strawberry theme. Wootwoot made up her own crocheted strawberry cloth pattern and send me two of them! How much do these things rock? I love them. They're so pretty that I don't want to use them, so I think I'm going to frame them and hang them up on the wall.  ;D

And second, check out this big mammajamma knitted cloth! I put my hand in the photo for scale to show how nice and large it is. I love the swirly design, and the size is perfect for washing pots or big bowls. And the colors will go great with all of my other green kitchen things.

Thanks so much, partner, for the great swap. My kitchen feels cozier already.  :) And thanks to kayrun for organizing! You know, I think this is one of my favorite swaps I've done because the crafting was quick and no-stress, and the items I got are both adorable and useful. Hooray!

Ok guys and gals  ;D  here is the goodness I recieved from Lindap.  Drool !!!!

First off is this really neat red white and blue bath scrubby!!!! Love it and I want the pattern.  What a neat ideal.

Next is a round multi colored dishclothe she was using up extra yarn.  Really neat.

Granny square purple, lavender and white dishclothe.

Multi blues dishclothe!!  Are you keeping count !!!!! ;D

The neatest thing of all the package they were all mailed in!!!  She made me a yarn keeper and as you can see I have already put it into use.  She packaged everything in it and taped the top and put the lable on it to send.  Really neat!!!

Love it all LindaP.  Great package.  Thank you soooooooo much!!!!!

Wow!  Everything looks fantastic!  This was a really fun swap to do.  I enjoyed trying out some new patterns and stitches I haven't tried yet.  Just look at the lovliness I received from ashestoashes on Friday:

I love the colors!  They look so springy/summery to me!  It's 2 knit dishcloths and 2 little knit scrubbies.  She also added some cool puffy stickers and it was all tied up in a nice blue grosgrain ribbon that I didn't photograph.

Thanks ashestoashes!  I love it!

Kell asked me to post pictures of what I sent her because she can't find her camera.  I don't have a group shot, but I sent her...

...a ballband dishcloth:

...an owl dishcloth:

...a crocheted bookmark:

...and a mouse:

This was a super fun swap! I tried out the ballband pattern for the first time, and now I'm totally addicted!  (I've made the owl dishcloth a few times before, but the pattern is impossible to memorize, so it doesn't get as many fun-points.)

I love the photos!  That ball band looks hard!  Is it?
The bath poof is so fun to make!  If you use a smaller needle, and put about 30 loops, then 5 DC on each, you can make a kid sized one...   here is the link to the pattern...
http://hometown.aol.com/lffunt/bath.htm

I am so glad you liked it all... I am still making cloths.. I may have to join the 50 washcloths in a year.. I am at 12 now!

Nope! It's sooooo easy! It's just a matter of slipping the long one every time. It looks scary, I know (that's why I avoided it for so long), but after doing a couple repeats, it makes total sense and you'll never need the pattern again!

I will have to see if I can hunt up a pattern.. I made a few new ones.. but I do have a favorite~
If (again, BIG IF) I try it, I'll let you know!

I hope you get your package soon!

I got my dishcloths from IamSusie today! I love the colors, they match my bathroom perfectly. I had thought about trying the ballband pattern myself for this swap. She included two adorable scrubbies, and some little shampoos. I love everything :)

I'm not a part of this swap because I didn't have the time, but I really love all the dishcloths here.  I am especially in love with the ballband cloths and especially the color combinations of the most recent two.  I still have yet to do a ballband cloth.  I'll get there.  I have momentarily abandoned knitting, but not for long.

Nope. they aren't really hard at all. I think the pattern gave an explanation of how to do them. Its actually two in the center which threw me off for a bit though. If you google something about 'bobble' and 'knit' it should come up with how to do it somewhere in there.

I received my beautiful cloths from amyracinrose yesterday!! She did a gorgeous job, and the colors are absolutely perfect. (Unfortunately, my photography is not!)

Here is a group shot of the three cloths together.  The bottom is a very pretty green variegated yarn.. and, they look so perfect together!

A closeup/solo shot of the dark green cloth.  All these cloths are huge--I am going to feel a tad guilty when I use them the first couple times.  I love the dark green color, and amyracinrose has the most beautiful stitches!

amyracinrose's mother wanted to contribute to the package, and she made these two cloths.  The varigated green has the prettiest scalloped border and I love the look of the white border with the dark red cloth:

Then, as if these three beautiful dishcloths weren't enough, amyracinrose snuck in a surprise!!! Look at this!

I gasped when I saw it--it's so beautiful! I was really excited to get her as a partner as I've long admired her gorgeous embroidery (and envied the patience she must have, too), but I never expected her to send me a gorgeous towel (and with gnomes, nonetheless!!!).  I feel completely spoiled.

Thank you so much for being such a wonderful partner, amyracinrose!

One (my favorite) has a air force emblem on it!  (my oldest son just went to Italy last week with the air force!)  I LOVE IT!  LOVE IT!
She also sent me some wonderful sheeps milk soap to go with a face cloth she made for me.. It smells so wonderful!
Micki also made me a pot holder like the ones everyone made as kids!  It is so cool.. and a nice green dish cloth.
I am so happy!  Micki really outdid herself on this one!  Photos to follow... not sure when yet.. we are on our way to ride horses!

I recieved from mommy2tnk yesterday!  It was a gorgeous package, and it smelled divine!

Here's how it looked when I pulled it out of the package! (That's one of my Fiesta pieces in the back :))

Here's the dishcloths and the absoulutely wonderful smelling soap, Mrs. Meyers Lemon Verbena!  I LOVE citrus smelling soap!  The discloth on the left is biased knitted and the one on the left has a house in the middle with a seed stitch border!  I also recieved a discloth book!  I'm already for the next round!

Thanks mommy2tnk, I love everything!  Your second cloth, that couldn't fit in the package is on it's way!

I'm really glad that you like everything Lapoli!  My Mom was really excited to have been able to contribute to the package and she loved seeings pics on here of her dishcloths.  She was verrrrrry nervous about whether you'd like them or not.  She was intimidated by the beautiful dishcloths you made!

And I'm loving the flower dishcloth, too!

Eye - that flower scrubbie dishcloth is super cool!

I received from tayyeye on Friday, but was promptly rushing out for a Memorial Day Weekend camping trip and didn't have time to take a picture. THEN the battery died in the camera... so... as soon as the battery is all charged up, I'll be posting the pics of what she sent!

I got my dishcloth package forever ago, and I could swear I posted in this gallery (I even remember everything I typed and how I did a close-up shot of the dishcloths), but my partner just PM'd me wondering if I liked them.

Well! I do like them very much! I've even used them already. (In the original post, which I KNOW I posted, I said I had put them in the basket of dishcloths. Oh, well.)

Two dishcloths, a note, and some ferret treats:

(And in the disappeared post, I said she mentioned that the frilly one wasn't supposed to be frilly.  But I like it!)

And here's a close-up of the cloths:

Sorry, Kell, for all the crazy confusion! I love the package you sent!

eye_on_sparrow - That is fine you posted the pictures.  I got them and love them but was heading out for Memorial Day weekend camping trip and did not get a chance to post a picture.  I just got back in late last night.  You did a wonderful job they are so big and soft and the colors are so bright and cheery they are great. The white one with the scrubbie in the middle is my favorite because it looks like a daisy and daisies are my favorite flower.  Thank you so so much.

;D Woohoo, I got home today and checked the mail, and my dishcloths from princesspepper were in there!!  It was a very nice surprise, since I just got back from seeing the doctor for the second time for the same ear infection, argh...  Anyhow I'll post pictures later tonight or tomorrow.  The cloths are so pretty, and the cotton is soo soft, I just love them.  Thank you princesspepper!

Before I take pics I was wondering, does anyone have tips for getting the picture in picture cloths to show up in photos?  I always have trouble with that no matter what kind of light I've got, so I figure there must be some trick to it that I don't know about...  I want to be able to show off my lovely cloths so everyone can see what they look like. ;)

I don't know if it will work or not, but maybe try taking the picture at a more horizontal angle.  Worth a shot.

I really love everyone's cloths.  I love the idea of the scrubber at the center of the flower.  Very cool.

Yay, frogger! I'm glad you like! What's the name of your poochie, btw?

Maltiriel: the best way to get the picture is to take it with a lot of light. (If I'm inside, I take it right next to the light from the lamp, or outside, in the sun/shade, but finagle it and your camera, so you don't get any shadows.) And don't use flash, that totally messes everything up.

I'm getting great photos these days up in my sunniest room.  Maybe if you put it in the sunlight so that you get more dramatic shadows on the cloth will help.  You know about the macro setting on the camera, right?  ;) (Not everyone does)

Thanks for the tips guys.  Yep, I always use macro; my photos come out in focus, there's just not enough contrast to show the picture, I think.  I'll try this afternoon when the sun's coming in my windows and hopefully that'll work...

I'm on a swap diet (though I have already made one exception).  This could be another exception because I already have tons of the yarn needed and I LOVE to knit dish cloths even though I haven't done so in over a month now.  And dang my goal of getting a gartarlac done before the end of the month.  There is still time, but ummmm... we'll see.

I miss you guys in the knitting KAL, we all need to do more and flood the KAL with some new posts.  I'm in (for the KAL and the next round). :D

Finally!  I got my photos ready!
I am sorry Grahairedoldlady, but the bag of goodies did not make it to the final photos!  (all I would of had was wrappers, but I had to hide the evidence!)

The photos do not do justice to the Airforce dishcloth, and you cannot smell how wonderful the goats milk soap smells!
This was a great swap.. I look forward to the next round!

So, I finally found the time to my dishclothgoodies from Maltiriel.
First, a lovely lovely dishcloth with a cherry. I love cherries!!!

Then the AMAZING spiderweb dishcloth. The coolest thing ever!!!

Then she send me some postcards with pictures from New Mexico. I'm jealous when I look outside my own window and it's raining...

BUT now i can tell everybody that I've been to New Mexico cause she also sends me this nice keychain. (BTW, I'm addicted to chili...)

Thank you so much Maltiriel. Yours will be the first dishcloths I'll ever use. (What a honour  ;) )

I'm so sorry I didn't post earlier, but this weekend was crazy so I totally forgot (I had to go out of town for a wedding, and then my parents came to visit, so I was busy the whole time!).  Just in case anyone's curious, I got the pattern for the spider cloth here (http://myknittingbasket.blogspot.com/2008/02/spider-dishcloth-crochet.html) and the pattern for the cherries here (http://www.rainyk.com/Dishcloths.html).  I just modified the outside of the spider cloth so it looked more like a web instead of granny squares.

And here at long last are the photos of the cloths princesspepper sent to me (there are even more photos here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/maltiriel/2534511553/in/set-72157605412654948/), because I can never just take one...)!
First a Harry Potter cloth with a snitch on it:
I love Harry Potter, and I've been wanting one of these cloths for myself forever, so this is awesome!

And second a kitty cloth:
I also love kitties and have two of my own.  Princesspepper stalked me very well! ;)

She also included this beautiful postcard:
It even has a little stand so it can be displayed.  Very cool!

I just love the yarn the cloths are made of; they're both super soft.  I was actually wondering what brand of yarn you used, princesspepper, so I can try to get some myself.  ;D  Hopefully it's available in the US...

So anyway, this was a great swap, I loved the cloths I got, and I'm definitely in for the next round whenever that is!  Thanks so much for the cloths princesspepper, and thanks to kayrun for organizing this!

Here is my package from Macreede. Thank you so much, everything is so wonderful.

Black, white and gray. oh how i love these colors! The shape is so cool. I wanna learn to crochet!!!

I really need to learn to crochet. These just look so amazing.

ohhhh a bath poof - it reminds of white confetti cake with all the colors in it.

And all my extra goodies. I was SPOILED! Wonderful vanilla lotion, body wash and bath crystals. Peppermint fizzies for my feet. ( i have never used these and am excited to do so!) A candle that smells really great. A hair wrap towel....oh i always wanted one and just never bought one.  And a cute washcloth that expands when it gets wet.

Thank you again Macreede. I really enjoyed being your swap partner.
