Wow, am I the first to receive???

I was spoiled with a ton of goodies from the amazing Bettflow!!  She fulfilled my wishes for tees and handkerchiefs (8 of them) to embroider and surprised me with kawaii Japanese fabric!!  :)

The tees are really amazing.  Where did you get these from Bettflow?  Lana doesn't like sleeves so the shorter the better.  As you can see we already used one to put a pair of birdies on...Lana insisted that they be kissing.  LOL.  The fabric is too cute.  I can't wait to make something with it! Thank you so much!!!

I received my wish claim from Kimberly Pye today. I got some awesome loot!

She got me:
- 3 balls of Sugar & Cream yarn
- 2 pairs of funky scissors
- 1 awesome crocheted bookmark
- A pattern that she found for a crocheted penquin

Here are the pictures. I got a close up of the bookmark separately because it's really beautiful; crocheted with variegated green/white thread. Gor-ge-ous!

All the loot:

Avesthel sent me a book I've had my eye on for the longest time and a jackpot of poly clay working tools!

It has taken me too long to post pics of them, but, better late than never so here they are:

I love everything and it's going to be tons of fun playing with the tools and sewing the awesome projects n the book (the cicada is my favorite!).

Thank you, Avesthel!!!

I am a lucky, lucky lady!

From Urvi, I received 8, yes 8, drawstring shopping bags! Check out the beautiful fabrics! Ooh, la la; I'm in heaven  :D Thanks, Urvi!

Also, Addicted2Knitting totally spoiled me rotten. Seriously, she sent probably four or five swap-worths of goodies.

First, awesome postcard, card, and two adorable finger puppets (piglet and doggie):

Next, a bunny puppet with a very fashionable scarf:

Also, have you ever wondered what would happen if Kermit the Frog got busy with Janice?:

Finally, A2K fulfilled my wish for artwork inspired by Cognitive Behavioral therapy! She made a really heartfelt and beautiful drawing. I plan on posting many pics of it, because it's really spectacular, but I'm waiting for the OK from A2K 'cause it's a bit personal.

Off to play with my new toys!

I received today from Mimiw!!!  She totally spoiled me with all the wool sweater fabric she sent!   :o  She also sent me some really lovely ribbon which I am looking forward to using!  And she surprised me with some pompoms to add to my warm fuzzy crafts because she also sent me the book "Warm Fuzzies"!!   ;D ;D ;D   Thank you so much, Mimiw!   :-*  I love everything and am looking forward so much to doing some of these projects!  :D

Wow, quilted! You scored! You certainly deserve it. You always send out amazing packages. :)

I love the bags! The leaf fabric is my favorite. Every time I look at the pic, I see another one I like! I like the drawstrings better than I thought...hmmm....

I'm doing a personal swap with urvi, and now I'm even MORE excited!!!

Asphaltqueen claimed me for a mini-yarngasm, and it was FANTASIC!!! If this was MINI, I don't know if I could handle a full-sized one!

She also included some Ikea fabric (closest store to me is 6 hrs away....), some handmade birch knitting needles (those are so cool), and a HYSTERICAL donkey bead! lol Great package as always, AQ. Feel free to claim me anytime!

Oh, and you were worried about the colors. Well, I always tell people my favorite colors, and I don't think I will anymore! It always makes people feel nervous about what they're sending. Thing is, I LOVE it all! If you had asked me if I like yellow, I would have been a little hesitant to say anything positive. Thing is that yellow yarn is amazingly gorgeous, and I can't WAIT to use it! The purple is KILLER and so soft. The green wool will be felted into...something.... I've never died yarn (like I said in the PM), but I may try it as suggested. The Noro is like nothing I've ever seen--it's amazing, too! And the cotton!!! I LOVE that type of texture. I couldn't imagine a better yarngasm!!! I really, truly always love your packages, AQ! If you enjoy what I send half as much, then I have something!

I received THREE packages today!!! Wonderful surprise!

One was from Therisa. She claimed me for a cloth napkin and sock yarn. What a great package! The napkin is so original. The stitching is awesome, and she did the design, too. I'm so glad I thought of this! I'm going to have the more eclectic, amazing and original grouping of napkins imaginable!!! (And I'll be wearing some awesome socks!) She said she got the yarn in Romania. WOW. Great colors, too!

Enduchame sent a second Bento book because she wasn't happy with the first one. I was happy with the first one, but I must admit, I'm glad she sent the second one, because it's great! I want to eat every page!

I rec'd today...from Avesthel - who claimed me for coin purses for her and the kiddos, earrings and a pendant

It was a super package,  Every single thing fits us perfectly!

The print goes right with my kitchen, the fabric coin purses are spot on for color, and she gave me the extra for piecing!  I put the pendant on immediately after snapping this, and my daughter snatched her things and disappeared into her room "to do some work".  This was a perfect box, thank you again!

And the swap-anxiety sets in... I'm feeling it too, worried the 2 claims I sent out aren't good enough. I've got Swap-Envy. :)

Oh, bah! I've received a hannahkarina package, and it's freakin awesome (can see the painting from here!) Daniethanas, I'm sure yours will be great, too! It is nerve-racking. I have three for this swap in transit! It does get a little easier tho.

HOLY CRAP!! I got my package from ThreadOrYarn today (and she mailed it yesterday -- yay for living in the same state)!

I got three balls of cotton yarn, a boatload of acrylic scraps, and a handful of byooooootiful 3-inch squares for my quilt!

Here are the fabric squares:

Thanks so much!!

(Just one problem: do I crochet, knit, or quilt right now? Argh! Tough decision!)

So I've been waiting for a couple days for nofury to post her pics of the mini-yarngasm I sent to her. And I think to myself, "Self, she usually posts pics the same day she gets the package. Does she really not like it? She said she liked it. I'm pretty sure she'd like it. I'd like it if I got it. Oh well, maybe she's just realllllly busy."

So then, I'm persuing the "recent with pics" posts, and I see that someone received a wishlist package and they had pics. And I thought to myself, "Self, why did I not see that post when I last checked the gallery? Oh, well, self, that would be because you DIDN'T UPDATE YOUR LINK TO THE NEW GALLERY!"

So, nofury - glad you liked all your yarn!   ;D

And the donkey "bead" is actually a mini-incense holder. I got it at the local fair trade shop. I haven't ever used incense (usually gives me a headache), but that little guy was so cute, I couldn't pass him up.  Now I'm gonna have to go check the other ones I picked up to see if the hole goes all the way through - cause that would be frickin' awesome. ;)

Yeah, you're not the only one who struggles when the month/links change! I had some problems from 31 to 32 I believe.  ;D

I did LOVE everything, but you give me too much credit. I take the pics when I receive, but they usually live in my camera for some time. :)

I checked my donkey and the hole goes all the way through.  :)

Now, that's a great sentence, and I bet money I'm the first ever to type it. lol

I've used incense from time to time.... Hmmm....Now I want to go get some. I think the donkey will be used as a bead though. Not sure for what, but I do so love that little guy!

Seriously, it's a great package, and I'm mad for everything you sent! Thanks so much, and feel free to claim me anytime!

I received this wonderful yarn bag from pinupmommy this week! It's the first chance I've had to post pictures - sorry about that Pinupmommy. It has a drawstring closure to keep my yarn snug and clean instead of bouncing around on the floor gathering pet hairs *lol*

Thanks Pinupmommy!  ;D

It happens. I've done it. Posted some pics in the actual swap once a couple of months ago. I deleted that one, tho, natch. lol We're all the same people: one big family. It's all the same!

Banga!!! Where ARE YOU!!! It says you received yesterday, and I'm DYING to hear what you think of the claims I sent you! I'm so incredibly anxious about those, and I think I'm making myself crazy! Does swap anxiety ever stop??? It seems to lesson from time to time. Then there's a certain package that freaks me out all over again. :)

I received from maxparadise a couple days ago.  She made me three cute little birdy pins (wist inspired), a little card holder purse, which is DARLING, a collaged birdy journal, three pairs of dessert earrings (also wist inspired) and if that weren't enough she sent some beads, whimsies and skeleton keys!

Thanks so much maxparadise!

Awww I'm so glad that you like your pencil roll. I love that whale fabric too! I found it at Goodwill a few months back and I didn't know what to use it for but I knew I had to have it. I got about 2 yards for 2.50, not a bad deal! The roll is actually one whole width (selvage to selvage) of the fabric to give others an idea of the length! I think I am going to make an apron with the leftover. It is just such a cute happy print. Makes me smile every time that I see it!

I got quite an amusing package from nofury. I opened the box and was greated by this sight. Whaaaaa....????

Then I started opening boxes, thinking my wisty surprise was in those. Nope, just pads! And what about that bag of what looks to be pads? Yep, more pads.  ;D

So I finally open the wrapped object and, lo and behold, a toiletries holder! (Or a tampon/pad holder, whatever terminology you prefer.)

I had one of these wisted because I need a good travel one for overnight trips. And this one is perfect! I love the fabric and everything is so well sewn. Thank you so, so much, nofury - it's perfect!  ;)

So freakin funny! If I tried something like that, my luck I would get so carried away I would forget to put the actual carrier into the box, and realize sometime later that I sent someone I've never met just a box of Kotexes.  :D
Now that I think about it, those would be really good packing supplies for fragile items...

The kit includes a handmade booklet, hoops of multiple sizes, needles, thread, transfer pencils (these are really really cool!), fabric to embroider on, some beautiful scissors and lots of patterns!  Most are birds (Yay!!) and there is a Sublime Stitching set of "I love veggies" too.   My favorite ones are the two pink birds at the top left in the picture.  :)

I received from asphaltqueen!  Prepare to be totally jealous!!  Now, keep in mind that she claimed me for yarn.  I bounded up the stairs to my apartment, and saw this:

Small box, yes?  So I'm all happy and skitter into the apartment, and after wresting the tape off...it was like Mary Poppins' bag!  Here's a picture of it all:

Yes, folks, that's 20 balls/skeins of yarn.  20!!!  In one little flat rate box!!  As if that wasn't enough, she sent me a wisty surprise--

I think I almost screamed when I saw it.  I LOVE it!  And I can't wait to start crocheting all that yarn!  Thank you so much, AsphaltQueen!!

Oh! I love it! I received one of her yarn packages, too. I recognize some of what you received. I love the cotton. Looks like you got some of the purple silk-blend, too. I just want to snuggle with that stuff. It's SO soft!!! And some of the green wool, too. I just made something from that, and let me tell you WOW!!! It's felted, so it's taking FOREVER to dry! I'll probably post pics when I get back from my trip. It almost seems a little rough at first - like wool can be, but when you get it on the needles (I used the ones AsphaltQueens sent for another claim!!! lol), it's like butter. It knits up super soft. I know that makes no sense, but it's SO wonderful to work with! I LOVE IT!!!

Hmmm....wonder if I can put more yarn on my wish list??? lol  ;D

I received from Sajona this weekend.  She claimed me for some boyish fabric and coffee.  She was so generous!  I got a ton of fabric, some bias tape stuff (what you use for necklines on t-shirts, I cannot remember the proper name.), a bib and 3(!) packages of coffee!!!  I am so excited to break open the coffee tomorrow morning!  I was sooo spoiled!!!

whole lot:

I rec'd a sweet package from educharme this weekend! A bunch of wedding themed embellishments for my wedding scrapbook and a snapcup for my classroom. Sadly it didn't survive the trip in its originally inspired state, but a little hot glue will fix that!

Thank you educharme!

You know, I always take the pics right away, but they do stay in my camera for a bit at times.

I received my first Samsara package recently, and it's truly beautiful. She is an artist!

She claimed me for a business card holder (inspired by one on my wist. I like her design better!) and a pendant with the most amazingly gorgeous design. I couldn't have imagined anything more perfect!

Thank you so very much! This was a breathtakingly beautiful package!

I want that tree!!

And the handles on the bag are pleather-type-stuff.  Definitely not real leather!  They weigh a ton more than the actual bag, but they're sturdy and comfy (I have a bag like this for myself)!

Here are the lovely pj pants Therisa made for me!

The fabric is really pretty.

She gave them an extra-long tie so I can pick how long I want it. I haven't changed it yet so it is still quite long.

And she gave them TWO back pockets! This is the first pair of pjs I've had with two back pockets and now I'm spoiled. Now I can carry both my mp3 player AND my cellphone in my pants at night!

Thank you, Therisa.  I love them!

Here is the very generous package that I received from MimiW! She claimed me for bias tape makers and sent me this huge package! She sent four great magazines - Threads, Adorn, Sew Simple, and Sew Stylish Gifts to make. I have never seen some of these magazines and they are great! I especially like Sew Simple, it had a lot of tips/techniques that were helpful to me. She also sent me three ink pads (green, blue, and black) some pretty polka dot ribbon, and 2(!) Bias Tape Makers! Thank you so much MimiW for your genrosity! I love everything!

I got a great package in the mail from Frosty772! She sent me a fabulous utensil roll to use for lunch at work! I love it and everyone wanted to know where I got it and if I would make them one. I felt so spoiled! It is so beautiful, I love the pink plaid. She even put a space for chopsticks! I'm going to have to plan a lunch that requires chopsticks just to use it. The roll also includes a lovely double sided napkin that folds into its own little space. I just adore it, thanks so much Frosty 772!

This is going to be long.  Is everyone seated comfortably?

My post mistress is an eBay addict.  So even though she doesn't understand swapping, she is fine with the concept of receiving multiple parcels from strangers around the world.  Today's delivery had her in a panic though.  "This one sounds broken and this one is leaking something..... what in the world??"  So I had to open my swap packages from educharme and calluna right in the middle of the post office.  It was a chaotic mess, let me tell you.

First the package from educharme, who claimed me for a woodburning tool and some glass marbles.  She also threw in some adorable buttons (the green train is my favourite).  While I'm sure the package left Florida with everything neatly contained in ziploc bags, by the time it hit Canada, I believe the woodburning stand had ripped open the bags and everything was rolling around and sounding like broken pottery.   :o  It all survived though.  Except for the tea mentioned in her note.  That apparently decided to stay in Florida.  :)

My new woodburning tool and some very cute buttons.

A million gorgeous blue and white and silvery marbles.

There was also an unused flat rate envelope that I'm assuming was a mistake.  Since I can't use it in Canada, I'll send it along to whoever I next claim in the US.  Thanks for everything educharme.  I love my swap package.

So that was the "broken" one, next we have the "leaking" package which was from calluna.   ;D  She claimed me for a long heat wrap, a birding journal and stuff for my deck.  The birding journal is so freaking cute.  She repurposed an old  "Birds in the Big Woods" book and added lined pages with little bird pictures.  Here's a closeup of the inside.

I also received two cool cat tea light holders (she says she's not a metal worker, so they are thrifted).  They are very cute and yet at the same time very confusing to my live cats who don't think we need any more animals in this household.  I agree, but make exceptions for the inanimate types. The heat wrap is filled with flax seed and lavender and I'm afraid the metal cats popped a couple of seams, so there is possibly a trail of flax seed back to California.  No worries, I saved the seeds from the bottom of the box and I shall sew it up ASAP.  Some did blow off the deck during picture time, so I may be growing my own flax soon.   ;)  Oh, calluna also included some fabulous piano music.  Here's an everything shot (except the heat wrap cover which I realize is not pictured).

Sorry my picture taking sucks so much.  Everything is wonderful ladies, I love it all, thank you both so much.

And now I have already written too much and can't comment on all the gorgous stuff posted before me.  But it's very awesome you crafty chicks.

I received from dianamariemtv today!  I didn't think it would get here so quickly so I was very excited and pleasantly surprised!

The card she sent... she wrote me a nice letter.  :3  The envelope there is actually stamped with a bird stamp she carved herself!

She sent me this adorable octopus embroidery.  It has a wire on the back so I can hang it!

A stamp carving kit!  It includes everything I need to start making my own stamps as seen in the picture.  I'm VERY excited about this and can't wait to get started on some stamp carvin'.  :D

Thank you soooo much dianamariemtv!  I love it all!

Ok, two things here:

1. I'm SO jealous of the stamp kit!!! I've been to a couple of stores, and I can't even FIND anything!

2. There is nothing wrong with re-gifting. :) Why keep something you can't use when it can bring someone else joy? Even in OWS land, if I send you something that doesn't quite work for any reason, seriously, feel free to pass it on. I still helped you! I saved you a claim, partial claim or whatever. I would much rather my gift get used then sit around gathering dust out of guilt.

Someone on here had the best tag. Something to this effect:

If it's not beautiful or useful, it does not belong in your home.

I love that, and I hope to live it!

I got my package from purpleone today and I am in LOVE with everything.
She claimed me for buttons, crochet hooks and fabric so imagine my surprise when I found not only those things but also magazines, beads, a pair of earrings AND a little panda for my grandmother.

A shot of everything

The awesome fabric. I've already been plotting what I'm going to do with it. (please excuse my jeans creeping into some photos)

Magazines, buttons, beads, and earrings.

The little panda (purpleone said she found it in a charity shop and remembered panda items had been on my list) which I gave to my grandmother this afternoon and completely made her day. I can't thank you enough for this purpleone, she'd had a bad few days and something as simple as that made her so much happier.
And finally a cat... oh wait I had him already. However I made the mistake of unpacking downstairs, I had quite a fight on my hands to get the box back :D

Thank you so much for everything purpleone.

catpants made me a killer drawstring produce bag! Here is is, looking all demure and sweet, taking up so little space:

And here it is expanded to the size of my dog!  :o

It's filled with a loaf of bread, a bottle of pancake syrup, and two boxes of Mac 'N Cheese.  ;D (I searched the pantry for things that are probably the same size everywhere for reference's sake)
I could probably even put most of my laundry in this bag! Not before using it to carry food, however.  :)
I love this bag, catpants! Thank you!

(and she made me a cute clay cupcake too - isn't it adorable? )

From 1Boy1Girl1Kitty2-
a wetbag and a matching mini pouch -

and two small tote bags (the straps are tucked inside)

From TwiztedBlood-
stitch markers and small fabric squares -

and a few zippered pouches and a tissue pack holder

and a zippered pouch made from zipper fabric  :D

Thank you all so much for great packages!!!  ;D  :-*  :-*  :-*

threadoryarn - DH was looking at your needles and remarked they looked like the instruments of torture used by Dr Kauffman in Tomorrow Never dies, the Bond movie!
Dh is a bit strange though ;)

I received from poerava today! She claimed me for vintage sewing patterns and dessert recipes, and she also sent some awesome magazines too. I love everything!

Everything all together. I can't wait to try out the recipes mm, they sound so good!

The sewing patterns all rock but this one in particular is my favourite. I love the silhouette of this dress and can't wait to go hunting for fabric so I can attempt to make it!

Thanks again poerava! I love it all :]

Okay, I finally uploaded my pictures of the lovelies I got from arwena:

Pincushion:

Other side:

Bad pictures of earrings (my fault, not the fault of the maker. They are beautiful):

Arwena if you have better pics of the earrings, please post them so everyone can see how they really look when I'm not taking terrible blurry pictures of them.

I got spoiled by 1boy1girl1kitty2!

Man... where to start? Well, basically, she sent me half of my wishlist!

Check out my new embroidery patterns (2 packs of transfers!), and two new sets of folding scissors!!

I also received *three* handmade tissue pack holders for my purse. Check out the adorable fabrics :) Also, a pack of 100 pieces of origami paper!

Here is the backside of my favorite one. It will make me smile while I sneeze. Also here's a better view of the butt-load of postage stamp squares!

Finally, a pic of all my new chocolates! Yum. I was smacking DH's hand away as this shot was taken  ;D

Thank you so much! I can't wait to claim you again soon!

Awesome stuff everyone!  :D

catpants told me she received today and she said I can go ahead and post pictures, so here I am!

I claimed her for some art and something for her patio.

The art-

I wasn't too happy with it myself because it came out more plain than I had planned.  I think it will look better framed, but I didn't have a frame for it.  She said she liked it, though.  :D

I decoupaged a birdhouse for her patio using random scrapbooking papers, Richard Scarry illustrations and both regular Mod Podge and outdoor Mod Podge.

Front

Right side

Left side

Back

Yup, I decoupaged a birdhouse onto a birdhouse, I am cool like that.

Sorry for all the large pictures!

The birdhouse was a bit difficult to decoupage but I had fun doing it.  :D  Glad you liked it, catpants, I was a bit worried about it!

yay, thanks for posting pictures, noxluff!  i love the art -- i'm trying to decide where i want to put it now :)  i love the papers you used in it (you all can't see it in the photo, but the white paper it's on is textured).

and i am totally in awe that she sent me a birdhouse!  :o  i should take a picture of the box she packed it in, it's huge!  :D  it'll be perfect for my patio, and i'm amazed that noxluff guessed that i would love richard scarry illustrations :)  thanks again!

I've received 2 wonderful packages recently. Unfortunately my Dad passed away on Thursday, so I've not been around much to post what I received. Sorry if communication from me has been a little sparse recently but things have been hard. Anyway onto the pictures.

From Therisa - flared bloomers!

Love them, thanks Therisa  :)

And from KimberlyPye - a bracelet, a very adoreable dragon, a lavender scented candle (which I'm lighting for my Dad at the moment) and some mini notecards.

Thanks Kimberley.  :)

I recieved from MareMare.  Ive had the photos from day one or two but am just now able to get to posting these.  Sorry my life is a bit chaotic right now lol.

Here is everything in the box before I tore into it!!

She sent me a whimsey take-out box.  It fit perfectly in with everything else.  Here is all the cool goodies she put inside of it!!  I had fun looking at everything.

Now I know as well as im sitting here the the mailtruck driver was not happy about giving up this box!!  I know cause I could smell these soaps before I opened it.  That truck probally hadnt smelled that nice in like FOREVER!!
Now I dont have the soaps in front of me but there was Lemon, Lavender silk, lavender and oatmeal and honey (please correct me if I got the names wrong!) Also there are soap bombs (one set is now gone) she kindly made one for each of my sons and a set for me too!!  Scrapbooking goods, a lavender sachet (definately going in my dresser drawers) some cute ribbons and a cute cupcake soap!!  Creme Bruele!! (sp???)  In the back you can see the takeout box whimsey!!

Here is a close up shot of the cupcake soap!!  Cute isnt it!!

Thank you so much for a wonderful and thoughtful package!!

I'm glad you liked everything Frosty! For some reason I had it in my head that you had girls, then after I did the pink bath bombs with pink ribbons I read that you had boys. Doh! Oh well, boys can enjoy pink stuff I guess! My nephew loved that fragrance (black raspberry vanilla) when I was making something so I hoped your boys would like it too. My first try at the cupcake soaps, I need to get a bigger tip to pipe them out!

Here's a cool trick to play on yourself: Have a swap package sent to your work, then forget that it won't be arriving at your apartment! It's fun!

I got a package at work a little before noon today!

A crochet-hook-holder and a ball of yarn like a kind on my wists! (Hm... what to make with it to show off that super-dee-duper teal and brown??!!)

And here's a close-up of all the fabrics at once:

I just received (literally, it was 5 minutes ago) from the good Dr.RubyDoomsday, this fabulous tote!

Made from plastic bags with a velvet ribbon trim and a rather pretty leaf charm. Sooo cute! Thank you so much! I'm living in a town of over 500,000 people (including the sprawl of the city outside city limits), and I'm fairly confident I'm the only one with a bag like this! (they aren't big on recycling around here; they love conspicuous consumption/waste actually :-[...So now I have something to carry that says "Ha! I'm not one of you!" :D)

I received from Thread of Yarn!!  She claimed me for a wisty surprise and crocheted me 6 star pot scrubbers!!  They are a perfect size!!  If you havent asked for any potscubbers your really ought too!!  I have one that Sunspotted mailed me......wow last October maybe.  I use it everyday and it is still holding up!!!  And my dishes dont have that stink they did with sponges!!  She also sent me some buttoned ponytail holders.  I guess I have them on my wist a couple of times  :D.  Safe to say I really liked them.

Thank you very much !!!  I appreciate it!!

Im going to add to this because I also received from Sansa.  OMG I am in such awe and giddy over this one!!  I had on my list a Miser Purse for awhile now.  A while back she had asked me about it and wanted to know if I was a stickler for historic correctness or just wanted one.  I told her I just wanted one and off she went to make it!!  I was thrilled to see that she had claimed me before I even had my wishlist up!!  I recieved this a couple of hours ago!!   Miser purses were used during the civil war era. The were called that because like a miser (greedy penny pincher) you had to "pinch" your coins out of your purse.

Here is the purse

Now here you see the two inch opening

What you do is slide one of the rings to the other side of the opening and put your coins or whatever will fit inside it.  Then you slide the ring back so there is one ring on each side of the opening.  Nothing ever falls out of the purse!!  Very popular back in the day!!

Look at this beading!!!  And the dragons!!

It is Gorgeous!!  I love historic stuff like this!!  Thank you so much!!  I am so appreciative of the time and effort you put into this just for me!!  Now if you will excuse me im going to gawk at my purse some more!!!

Thank you both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've decided the name of this swap should be changed to 'spoil someone rotten'
Great packages!!!!  My last picture that rossana9041 sent didn't do it justice and I really want her to get credit for the amazing amount of fabric she sent.  She is a very generous swapper!!!

Is that a puppy or an adult dog?!
Mini Puppy is a "baby". She is 9 weeks old & weighs 750 grams.  She'll grow up to be about the same size as mama (in the picture above), 2.3 kilos (5lbs). Sorry to go off topic with my pup... bad girl!

seriously? oh my cuteness!! will your mama have more puppies mini?

Probably not next year. They are a lot of work these little creatures! It's easier this time as there was only one puppy in the litter. But, she looks all angelic in the picture, she's a little devil!

I Sew Cute (you are very cute!), of course, you can make a pattern. I'd like to see it when you are done!

Back to OSW swap: I've started my first granny square from my fabulous package from MareMare! & I'm doing pretty well, except I can't "close" the row with the slip stitch properly... :(  I'll have to visit the crochet forum!! I'm rather excited about that. :D

Going to check out who's next on the list... and see if I can make anything for them.

I got some lovely jewellery from Arwena - one sadly got a crack in the glass but as it is still holding together it is still lovely! One day I'm hoping to learn the art of glass slide pendents and will rescue it!
Not a great photo - the bracelet is very delicately beaded and has a great tactile feel to it.
Thanks again Arwena!

Mini, what kind of doggie is that?  I may need to find a small (the smaller the better) indoor doggie soon for my DD.  If any of you have suggestions on small dogs that would be great.

I love the bird pendant and the miser's bag!!

KimberlyPyle, that site is addicting.  I want more too!!  :)

Look up mini-yorkies. Cutest freakin' things!!! The Snoodle (not sure of spelling...poodle/snauzer...can't spell that either...mix) doesn't shed, so that's a bonus.

atsuko- I've had a shihtzu for almost 10 years now.  When we got him, we lived in a one room little apartment that we weren't supposed to have dogs!  He was quiet, never sheds, super easy to house break, great with kids, adapted well to 4 moves.  I off course highly recommend them, I have such a soft place in my heart for them.  He is on the little side, 10lbs.  We keep him 'puppy cut' so we don't deal with the long hair.
The spot in his eye is just from the camera

My puppy is a Westie/Cairn terrier. (Sheds a lot though :p)

He's pretty small, I can pick him up with one arm, and he's so sweet and well-behaved and playful. :]

That's him being mischievous haha.

To me a small dog is a Labrador Retriever.  Mine is the runt of the litter and she only weighs 65 lbs.  Obviously my recommendations will hold no weight here.   ;D

Also, they require alot more yarn to make sweaters.  See?  Crafty!

Sorry, I don't want to get anyone in trouble.

Thanks for all the advice...I love the mini-yorkies, but the price is prohibitive.  :)
Shitzus and terriers are great!!  Hehe, the lab is a bit bigger than I was thinking of.  I really just hope that I can get pregnant instead, but if I can't I have to be prepared to get her a puppy.

Back on a crafting note:
I'd be up for making bleach tees if anyone is interested.

Atsuko- I love the bleach tees you sent to Superhooker in the kid swap.  I will have to add it to my wishlist for next round.
Good luck with getting pregnant.  My daughter is already asking for a baby sister and her brother's only 4 mo!   ;D

I have to bring it back to the cutie-mini-dog for a second, but I swear it's related to the swap!!  ;D
When I was making the journal with the case around it for mini I did a quick search of all her previous posts, and there was another cute picture of the puppy, so I printed it out and put it on the cover of the case (on the other side) because it is so irresistibly cute!

And my opinion is, adopt a tiny dog from the local shelter! There's already more than enough puppies and babies to go around!  :) You can put your name on a list so that when they receive a little non-shedding doggie, they'll give you a call. And/or search your whole region with www.petfinder.com

I second that!!! I recommended a couple, but by NO MEANS do I support buying them from a breeder. I know there are some wonderful, caring breeders out there, but there are so many wonderful, perfect, adoring dogs that don't have homes. I'm sure you could find a perfect one at a shelter. Mutts usually have cheaper vet bills, too!!!

Craft-related:.....um.....OH!!! My mother found a puppy last winter at the post office. I want to make a pillow or something with an applique of her dog's face. I've seen something before on how to reduce the number of colors in photoshop....something like that. Does anyone have any knowledge in that area?

I am a registered breeder. I have two dogs (including this puppy, which I'm keeping). So we are not going to start a discussion about that, right? You certainly can find lovely little dogs also at the SPA or Chihuahua Rescue, if you want specifically a Chihuahua.

Back ON topic:
My Calluna crafts are fabulous: I love them! And this is definitely my favorite swap of all. I like making things for people that I have a good chance they want & vice versa.  :D

Oh, show us the skirt!!

Thank you for that link; so cute! (Not as cute as your dogs, though!  ;D And I didn't want to imply anything about you and the breeding and such)

Here's another easy pet portraiture idea I love: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=155223.msg1605252;topicseen#msg1605252

nofury - I think the feature you're looking for is called "posterizing"; does that sound right?

Ok, even though I'm talking about crafting this is the gallery thread and not the discussion thread, so I'll shut my mouth now!  :-X

mini - Thanks so much for the link! Something like that should work well...hmmmm....now just to make time. Please, btw, I meant no offense! In NO WAY did I mean to be insulting to responsible breeders. It's the others I take issue with.  :) I'll end my end at that.  :-X

calluna - I'll check that in Photoshop and see....thanks!

Hum... I think I'm going to add that puppy portrait &/or the little pillows to my wish list. So cute!

I went to Photoshop to try to make the color thing you wanted but I can't figure out how to do it. If I find out I'll let you know.

(Anyway, I think there are lots of lovely pups in the rescues. I'd like to take many many of them home myself! I just suggest that you KNOW your breeder & visit to see that it's not a puppymill. Sorry, I sort of hijacked the thread with my "baby" pictures! )

As a bonus she threw in some embroidery thread too (which is awesome, because now I have some!). There are 9 balls of cotton, 3 balls/skeins of wool, and 7 lil' bundles of embroidery thread (what do you call those???).

THANKS, AsphaltQueen!! I love this wish!!! :)

oooh, I love your new skirt Twiz! I think I need to get that pack of Mod Podge also.  Am I the only one who sees "Mod Podge" and thinks "modge podge" ?  Anyhow, I received two lovely packages last week.
First, pleaseelise claimed me for pj pants and Amy Karol's book.

Action shot:

I love the pjs!  I put them on straight away.  They are wrinkly in the 1st pic because they just went through the wash.  They are nice and loose and comfy.  Thank you pleaselise!!

Second, missmuffcake claimed me for some Alice in Wonderland items she had picked up and ever so kindly held onto for 2(!) rounds.
There are some pressure seals and a full sheet of unmounted rubber stamps!

Actual stamps:

I cannot wait to play around with these stamps.  Everyone will probably be getting swap notes that have these images on them.  :)  Thank you missmuffcake!

And yeah, that ball winder must be sumthin'! The middles are so tight! What is it? Where do I get one?

I second that! Where do you get one?!?!? I like to pull from the middle but I can never find the right end to pull! I'd rather re-wind them the way I like.

Spill the beans Dulcinea!! please  ::)

most yarn/fiber shops will have them. they are a bit pricey though, and you need a swift as well to wind from a hank. cheapest i've found then is on ebay for about 85 before shipping

joann.com

and i get emails that have discount codes, occasionally, for online orders.

i got the ball winder and the nice wood swift for myself for xmas last year.  don't think it cost me more then $65 for both.

haven't regretted it for a second.

I have some of that yarn!

When I was a kid my mom bought a knitting machine. It took up half of her bedroom, and she never finished anything on it (I wasn't allowed to touch it). However, the ball winder that came it with it was constantly used! We loved that thing  ;)

I'm glad you liked it.  :D  Too bad neither of us got pictures of the wrapped package- it was wrapped in brown paper with gold stars all over it because I used an old HBO box and I wanted to hide the fact it was an HBO box.  The box was the perfect size!  Hahaha.  I want to start wrapping ALL my swap packages with it.  :3

The fabric I found was awesome, I loved it, too.  XD  I may need to get me some of it later!

I got two lovely packages yesterday! Both were bright and cheery and flower themed! It's been a crazy spring here, we usually don't get any snow all year, and we had snow in April, and way more rain than usual. Hopefully now that I have some flowers the sun will come out!

From 6iggle I got this lovely needle book! It is so cute, and I love the colors! Also she filled it with needles for me, I never seem to have any, now I can keep them all together!

Front:

Inside:

She also sent a TON of super adorable buttons, zippers (I am gonna be making some pouches) and a bunch of ribbon and other trim!

And from HannahKarina I received a wonderful painting! She spot on got colors and designs that I like, and it will look awesome in my room!

And she also sent along floral post-its, loose leaf peony tea (!), and a cute little green candle!

Thank you so much ladies, these were wonderful packages!

I received from ThreadOrYarn a fews days ago and I am just now getting around to posting pictures.  She claimed me for handspun yarn and cotton squares for my postage stamp quilt.  She sent a natural-colored yarn.  (Is it possible to dye it?  I have never tried that before.)  I am super excited as I have never had anything handspun before.  It feels so fancy.  Here is a pic.

The postage stamp squares are a mix of all kinds of colors and designs which is great.  It is amazing how many squares you have to collect to make anything of a decent size!  My favorites are the yellow one with little flowers, the purple one with hexagons, and the dark blue one at the top with white flowers on it.

Thank you so much, ThreadOrYarn!!!

She came with a little bird and purse.

The card read:

Hi, Kristine...

Here is your new poppet.  She is still waiting on a name.  She loves bright colors and all things natural.  I hope you enjoy her and let me know her name as soon as she tells you!

Sajona spoiled me! She knit me this hat directly off of my Wists! I love it and wish I were as talented a photographer as meganlorraine so I could give you a self-portrait-action-shot!

Also, *yes* it really is as soft as it looks! I love it  :D

She also sent oodles of fabric and some very dark chocolate. You might look at a delicious 70% cacao Lindt chocolate bar and think, "wow.... it doesn't get much darker than that!" Well, you would be wrong. Man, this 85% cacao chocolate bar is the darkest chocolate I've ever had. Oh, it's amazing! Fortunately, DH had to work late so I got to eat some of it by myself last night while making inappropriate noises that would have had him questioning his role in my life  ;D

I was lucky enough to receive one of Nofury's return address stamps...these are so cool.  Mine is a bit bigger than your average return size, but that's because I picked a bigger image...which is super cute.

I received this gorgeous red "Green Gables" knit shirt from Catpants. It is SO lovely, comfortable and flattering to wear.

Unfortunately I cannot say the same about my photography which is not flattering at all. I tried for an action shot but the flash kept ruining the pics (that or the dark). It softly drapes when I wear it and its just wonderful.

That's a brilliant idea. I may steal it from your grandmother. My guess is she wouldn't mind if other people spread cheer too. ;)

And... I am now inspired to add an address stamp to my list when I get back into OWS later this summer.

quilted - I'm glad you liked the hat! I had a bit of a stress trying to work the pattern out (I used to WRITE patterns for a yarn company and still didn't get it - it was that bad!) but once I got in the swing it was fine. I was intrigued by it - which made me choose it in the first place. Don't forget to hand wash it instead of machine!
Also - I am a dark choc junkie - so knew exactly what would float your boat :)

Thanks for the reminder! Actually, that's why I need a new hat. I accidentally felted my old one  ::)

Here is an action shot of me in the hat (in just one of the many potential ways to wear it, btw) while holding my brand new purse from frosty772!!!

Here is a close-up on the amazing bag she sent along with a slew of postage stamp squares. I'm a happy lady!

Also, while I'm posting, here's a bag I sent Dr.RubyDoomsday. In addition to sending a lace-edged pillowcase, I embellished this new Dickies bag with a "Hot Fuzz" theme. In the movie there is an extended swan chase scene. Thus, the embroidery on the back of the bag:

Overall pics so you can see the embroidery work---really lovely!!

you can see why I was late sending now! I used permenant fabric pen on the bib over a 1970s transfer - so it will be perfectly washable, and hopefully the blue transfer will wear off.
The onesies are my favourite baby pattern - the one hour bodysuit from newconceptions.com, and the fabric has been in my stash for ages, waiting for a small enough outfit to make!

I just received an address book and a surprise necklace/charm of an owl from missmoppet.  Thank you again for everything, it's all really cute.  If you can't tell in the picture, the front of the address book says, "Whooo whooo's address do you need?"

https://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/medium/addresspic.JPG

And as an aside:  I'm in love with KimberlyPye's afghan.  :)

Oh, did you not get the amigurumi owl keychain???  I would be very sad if it didnt make it!

(please ignore miss camera hog too, she insisted on getting in the photo.)

I received from Kimberly Pye!  I actually received on Monday, but my computer has been spazzing.  She sent me ink-jet shrinky sheets, some pink cotton yarn, and the cutest little ami pear from my wists!  I love the pear--and, evidently, so does my cat, as he keeps trying to steal it.  And I can't wait to use my shrinky sheets...

I am so glad you received everything safely purpleone.  When I saw that bear fabric in the store I just had to get it for you.  I was going to make you some more belts out of it but figured you might have a better use for it.  I am really glad that the pillow forms fit in the cases.  It was a bit harder that I thought it would be guesstimating how fluffy the forms would be.  :)

pleaseelise- let me know how well your shrinkies work.  I bought the actual "Shrinky Dink" inkjet ones and I hated them.  They shrunk all unevenly and crooked.  I like my generic ones better but those are not printer compatible, so I'd love to know how these work for you.

I received my package from critterpants yesterday!

It was a long rectangular box packed full of wonderfulness!

Here's the group shot:

She sent two reusable sandwich wrappers, two hand-carved stamps, vegetarian recipes, one skein of green yarn and a little ball of pink yarn (for my yo-yo afghan), tea, reusable tea bags, 3-inch fabric squares, and two packs of safety eyes!

Here are the two carved stamps in action:

This was an unbelievably fabulous package! Thanks so much, critterpants!

Glad you liked everything.  Let me know if the sandwich wrappers work or not.  If they aren't the right size, I will gladly make you more.  I didn't have any bread in the house so I had to estimate how big a sandwich would be.

I loved the keychain.  I'm going to try and snap a photo of it so everyone can see its awesome-ness.

I received a great package today from Sajona!

Inside was a minky pillowcase that fit my queen sized pillow perfectly, some extra minky fabric and a UK fashion magazine. The pillowcase is super well-made and looks like something that you'd see in a boutique. I took a 2nd picture so that you could see how it closes. It has a little flap at the back. Thank you Sajona!!!

From Samsara:
Freakin' amazing package!!! Business card holder and pendant. Wore the pendant to work the other day, and received so many compliments!!!

I also received a journal from bkrenning for all the new changes and journey I'm about to embark on. (That was a messed up sentence, but I'm going to leave it.) I'll have to take some pics...(sorry!) It's amazing. So beautiful!!!!

glad you like it! i've only sewn with minky once before and i learnt from my mistake from that - I used a 'walking foot' on my machine which stopped it stretching out of all recognition!
Grazia mag is my favourite weekly trash mag - some gossip, but not as awful as the usual ones - plus loads of fashion :)

THANK YOU Stolendreams xx

I don't feel deserving of it as I've been a bad swapper this round. Irasema, your package is complete and winging its way to you but I'm ashamed to say that I still haven't got to grips with NoFury's things  :(

I am so glad you liked them 6giggle!  I had so much fun making them!  Stencilling is so much fun!  I am in two other swaps and just finished 8 shirts, 2 pillowcases, and 3 totes!

If anybody wants some stencilled items, please add it to your list!  I would love to do more!  I was just doing one color stencils, but I have graduated to multi-color, so look out!

I received a pack of great things from farmgirljane!

First, the awesome crocheted kerchief, in a less-than-awesome picture:

Next, the cooling neckwrap (used it gratefully today, along with the one arwena sent me!) and ATCs!

It's really hard to tell in this image but the one with the Queen Eliz stamp has an image of a naked woman--probably more sumptuous than the Queen--wrapped in actual gauzy sheer fabric. And the zombie family made me laugh.  ;D

There was also a set of alphabet rubber stamps which were hiding at the time of scanning the image...

Thank you for so much great stuff, again, and...happy birthing! :) (I don't know the proper congratulations for when a baby about to be born)

The Clue game pieces are my favs:

You can't see it in the photo but the one zipper is absolutely HUGE! I can't believe how long it is...

The Skittles made it about two minutes after taking the picture! Lol. Yum.

Thanks missmoppet! :)

Then, as if that wasn't enough, she also sent a plush cube that jingles, a pair of newborn booties and a pair of saartje booties (the other pair is from a personal swap we did)

I have been incredibly deliquent in reporting my packages here. :(

From the lovely Banga, I received some of her delicious notecards that she sent to someone in a previous round and I immediately wisted - the lovely cupcakes (with the roving for the frosting!) and the sbsolutely smashing flowers. Thank you so, so much, Banga, they're absolutely adorable! I sent one of the flower notecards to my grandma and she was amazed by it.  :)

And from the wonderful irasema, I received a box full o' goodies. First up is my lovely amigurumi hippo - ain't he the cutest? He's enjoying cuddling in my yarn stash right now, but he will soon join his new brothers and sisters on my workbench. ***Aw, crap, photobucket didn't upload that photo and my camera is at home - pic to come soon!***

Next in the box was this lovely cherry blossom original artwork - it will look perfect in my craft room! I love how cheery it is - nice and summery!

And if those two items weren't enough, there was a massive jar of whimsies! Check out how absolutely adorable the jar is - I love how you decorated it - too cute!

And here's a shot of the contents - lots and lots of whimsiness for me to enjoy. I love the idea to wrap the ribbon around the wood clothespins - how have I not seen that before? And all the chipboard items are sweet - these will definitely go onto some altered art pieces. ;)

And here are close-ups of two of my favorite items. The owl is adorable, I may use him for a closure on a knit shawl, and the vintage valentine picks are amazing - those will be used on something for my husband next February, for sure!

Thank you so, so much irasema - I loooooooooove it all!  ;D

I have recieved a couple of parcels over the last week and have only today found the time to post pics.

Atsuko claimed me for a chainmaille kit & printer shrinky plastic,  I also got a couple of extras a bunny crochet pattern which I am still to try out and this awesome chainmaille bracelet, no sure if you can see in the pic but there are beads inside the chain.  Didn't notice these until I went to take pics.

The bracelet

And from CamOovas I recieved a rather handsome needle felted rooster, with a couple of extras as well.  Two framed pics of roosters.  DH is planning to put a special shelf in the entrance hall to show of these and to add any further felted farm animals I may get.

I received my package from Dinosaurus Meg! She sent me a crochet hook roll (including a few more hooks to add to my collection) and an mp3 armband (to encourage exercise... woot  ;)).

ThreadorYarn is having camera problems, so she gave me the go-ahead to post the pic of the Dishwasher Fairy I sent her. You can't tell so well from the pictures, but there are fuzzy white wings attached on the back.

And it's even more adorable in person! (Dh isn't a 'doll person' but even he thought it was cute.)  I put it on the windowsill by the sink so she can watch :D

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure I'm posting in the right gallery, but I figure I might as well go with a recent one that people are still looking at.   ;D

Eons ago, I received an iPod cozy from Dulcinea, for Consuela, my video iPod.  Consuela loves her new sweater.  She thinks the red makes her look saucy!  I agree.  Here's a horrible, badly lit picture (someday I will win the lottery and hire people to cut up fruit for me and to take all my pictures), the red is much darker in person.  Thanks Dulc.  I love it and now I am no longer afraid to take Consuela out into the world.  You are awesome.

Also, last week I received two gorgeous pillow covers from mini.  I don't have action shots because I have absolutely no time (seriously, I'm sacrificing an hour of sleep to take and post all these pictures, it will be Craftster's fault if I burn all the eggs tomorrow morning :P ) to find my pillow forms, but here's a "lying flat" shot.  I love the yoyo thingies (is that what those fabric thingies are called?).  They are very cool and the earth tones will go perfectly in my living room.  Thanks mini!

Okay, now must sleep.  Nighty night all.

After a bit of a postal problem I got my package from Dr.RubyDoomsday today. PERFECT for the British summer

you might not be able to tell in the pics but yes, we do have "more bloody rain" today (and yesterday and the day before....)
The good Dr also made me a threadcatcher for my sewing but I haven't got a pic of that yet, I'll update this message when I do  ;D

Thanks Doc, you brought a smile to my face and I'm sure this umbrella will raise a smile whenever I use it  ;D

Well, look at my profile, see what you could make from my wish-lists or my items, or look at my wist, or simply send me some suggestions, and we'll see what we can do for a personal swap! I work in this fabric store, so I get everything uber cheap!

I got angelled!!  Bronzfrog graciously stepped in to angel for me, and made me a surprise that she knew I had been hoping - an uber cool earring holder/tree/thingamabob!

It's made from a record!  AND.......... AND...... she knows i love dragonflies, so pay careful attention to the custom label in the center of the record - it's a beautiful dragonfly.

I've already put earrings in it, and it's hanging in m y bedroom - check this out, though!

I got home from a little vacation to find a sweet angel package from brideofkniterstein. She sent a piece of butterfly art based on one from my wists, a pair of hand carved stamps, a pack of text for ATC's and a huge jar of ATC goodies. Thank you so much for being my angel!

The butterfly art is so precious!!!!! How did that happen? Can we have a close-up?

There is another photo of one like it in my wists that you can see closer up, since I didn't take any closeups. The butterflies are cut from all different pages of magazines, and then attached with a glue dot to look 3D. It's so cute, I love it!

I also got the replacement package that 1boy1girl1kitty sent after the dang US?Canada post screwed up and lost yet another package! She sent me these gorgeous scrap-fabric/quilt coasters. Each one is so lovely I can't pick a favorite! Now I just need some scrap quilted placemats or napkin rings to go with them... hint hint!

It is in no way MY idea - I just have a ridiculous amount of scraps!  Plus, yours are way neater and more organized.  I can't think like that  :D  Beautiful work!

I received an angel package from 1boy1girl1kitty 2!  beautiful luggage tags, and also an embroidery pattern from my wists.  Thank you very much!  I hope to continue posting pics from this swap of items that I rudely did not photograph.  Even though I may not have posted everything, I truly appreciate all of the swap items.
