I received a lovely package of Sublime Stitching stencils from purpleone today!  They crossed the Atlantic really quickly!  I didn't have any of them before, either.  Thank you, purpleone!

I don't know how to make the picture show, and have been fooling with it for more than 45 minutes.  I give up on making it show but it is on the link.  Thanks so much!

I received from OneRedBoot today: 2 potholders and a cookbook (The Big Book Of Potluck)

The pot holders are beautiful.  They are in a quilted style using brown fabrics with blue accents.  I just love them.  My camera is currently broken, so hopefully OneRedBoot will be able to post pictures so you can see :)

I received to lovely sublime stitching patterns and some fabric from catpants.

I can't wait to have a chance to use that monkey fabric and I can see a shirt from the dragonfly fabric and a dress from the little bird fabric.  Thanks so much!

Hi, everyone - I received both parts of Quilted's two-part gift.  She was thoughtful and clever enough to choose something from off of my wist.  That was very kind!   Also, look at the lovely colors of embroidery floss she sent.

I received a big bag of white wool from Therisa today.  I don't have my camera with me right now, but it looks like a big bag of white wool.  I'm thinking everyone's imaginations are up to the task.   ;)  However, I think I'm going to check into this whole yarn dying process and perhaps I will take a picture after I figure out how to turn evil, chemically Kool-Aid into beautiful wool.

Thanks Therisa!

i received a lovely shirt from disneybelle!  i happen to be wearing it right now, but since i no longer have a digital camera there will sadly be no action shots (i say sadly because it looks quite fabulous on me!  ;))

it's a black tee with flowers painted (freehand, i think!  :o) around the neckline.  hopefully disneybelle will post pics so you all can see how pretty it is!

she also sent me a little sampler of eyeshadows, which is excellent because i used to LOVE those things as a kid... and, um, yeah, i still do :)

thanks so much disneybelle!

I didn't take pictures of what I sent cardigan, but there was
-a big vintage ephemeragasm (to steal and tweak the term from the Dulcinea yarngasm  :D),
- some varied fabric,
- weird old items like the top of a women's bowling trophy and a vending machine "Homie" (I assume they don't sell those outside the U.S.! They're fairly popular in some circles where I'm from, and my ex had a huge collection. Here's what they are: http://www.vendingondemand.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=211 (http://www.vendingondemand.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=211)),
- and a recon journal from the cover of this book:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Very-Special-People-Human-Oddities-Circus-Freak-Book_W0QQitemZ220221480709QQihZ012QQcategoryZ378QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting (http://cgi.ebay.com/Very-Special-People-Human-Oddities-Circus-Freak-Book_W0QQitemZ220221480709QQihZ012QQcategoryZ378QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting)
The full title is on the back, which reads, "Very Special People: The Struggles, Loves, and Triumphs of Human Oddities". I couldn't resist getting that book and making a journal out of it! I sent some of the pictures too, but most of the pictures I sent in another claim to Banga.

all i have to say is wow.  WOW.  WOWOWOWOW!!!

postman rings my buzzer, says i have a box.

18 pounds of box.

AsphaltQueen filled one of those wishes i've had for ages.... someone had posted, they took some of those old vintage wooden soda crates, and used them for yarn storage.  all those cubbies!

and AQ found some, AND claimed me for them, AND got them, AND got them shipped here, AND they arrived today!!  (prize for most AND's in one sentence?)

here's the before - you can see the rings from the soda bottles (yes, once i post these pictures, i'm off to scrub these out)

and here's what i'm doing with them - is this too cool?  LOL, my very own yarn store going on here!!

(and yes, that's only the smallest dent into my stash!)

AQ, thank you from the bottom of my heart to the top of my yarn stash - this was SO much fun today!

Oh, wow, Dulcinea, those look awesome! (Well, at least with the yarn in 'em.) I'm so sorry you have to actually clean 'em and get 'em pretty - guess that's what you get for "vintage" off ebay.  :-\

And your "after" pics have helped me to determine that I, too, need to get me some of those. It looks like the little cubbies ended up being just about the perfect size - yea!

Title: Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 33 Gallery
Post by: Dulcinea on April 12, 2008 11:33:02 AM
i keep going in there just to look at it all!

these are probably most of the 'best' of my yarns... ones i hand dyed for a particular thing, or that i bought because i loved the color.... and i suspect you're looking at the yarns for my next projects... everything from socks to lace shawls, and i think there's a bamboo yarn tank top in there too (the tropical colors in the left side box, 8 skeins (about 1500 yards) of 100% bamboo yarn, bought on eBay)

LOL, i wonder how many more i can fit in my craft room?  we're about to have a run on old time soda crates!

thank you again, AQ - seriously, i'm grinning like a kid on this one!

TwiztidBlood, you distract Dulcinea and I'll reach out my arm and grab the yarn, then we can share it.  I'm sure two can take her on  ;D

That's a fantastic idea for storing yarn and, like many others, I'm envious of your stash!

thanks - not for the stealing of my yarn, of course.

and it's a little odd to see my stash out like that - i mean, there is a whole 'nother plastic bin, and a market basket, and then there's that dresser....

it is nice to see some of my stash out liike that though - helps me work out the next project, and what wool/silk/bamboo whatever i want to use for it - i've been working on a tuscany shawl with some yummy yarn dyed by Javede last year.... and the colors are so great, i'm glad i'm nearly done, so i can block this and actually wear it!

Your yarn looks yummy, Dulcinea! I hadn't seen that storage idea before, but it's genius! I'd love to be able to see (even some of) my stash that way. I've got most of mine in one of those footlocker trunks. It's a PITA to dig through, even though most skeins are in baggies.

Anyway... isn't AsphaltQueen lovely? ;D :P :-*  I received from her yesterday!

Here's everything together.

The pretty, pretty paper at the top and the origami paper was from her stash. On the top green piece of origami paper you can just make out my new owly necklace! And finally, the exact owl bag from my wists! She went and bought us BOTH one. So now we match. We're bag sisters. Or something less cheesey, and awesomely cool. 8) :P ::)  (I forgot to warn you about my dorkiness, didn't I?)

This pic is to show exactly how freaking large this bag really is! This is why it's my new library bag! I could probably put...hmm...twelve copies or so of the Happy Hooker in here!

Aaaand, owly action! (And a better shot of the necklace--I'm wearing it right now!)

:-* Thank you SO much, AQ!!! :-*

I love that owl bag and the owl necklace! Asphalt Queen sends such great packages!!

I know this is true! The coasters she sent in her last package to me are in our fancy schmancy glass cabinet next to my religious paraphernalia and breakable wedding presents. Seriously.... I  have a menora, Shabbat candlesticks, Tiffany crystal vase, and scrabble coasters in there  :D

Also, I was lucky enough the get claimed by her again! This time, I really wanted to take a picture before breaking into everything, (the wrapping was so pretty), but it didn't happen  ;D No self-control.

I received the birds' nest necklace straight off my wist! This necklace is perfect... it's unique, elegant, and *strong*; the toddler didn't break it yet!

This is me dancing around my son's room feeling glamorous, even though I just woke from a nap:

Here is the rest of my loot:
The super coolest notepad holder ever! It's a recycled circuit board!! Isn't that so awesome? I come from a family of nerdy computer programmers, and I can't wait to show it off  :D I also received these four spools of beautiful ribbon, *and* a groovy handmade gnome card (destined for my son's wall).

Thanks AsphaltQueen! I <3 everything!

I got a box of yarn today from Dulcinea. Just a regular priority mail box (14x12x3 inches or 35x31x7cm) it was bulging a bit, but ok, it's yarn from Dulcinea. Yarn isn't that flat, so a bulging box didn't seem odd.
I mean, how much yarn could there be?  ???

There was this much -

That's 24 balls of yarn! I'm just pulling them out of the box and they kept coming and coming (sort of like that old circus routine where the clowns keeping coming out of the tiny little car  :D)

Thank you so much Dulcinea!!

Awww, shucks. You guys make me blush.   :-*  (And quilted, I saw my scrabble coasters in your glass cabinet in some pic you posted awhile ago, and was absolutely giddy that someone actually liked my crafting that much. Seriously, I was floored.)

And lest anyone think that I don't get as good as I give, here's the awesomeness awaiting me when I arrived home today after a loooooong day of work.

From the lovely oneredboot, two checkbook covers, four knitted squares and an awesome card that is going directly into my altered art/atc epherma pile. The knit squares are the very first ones (yea!) for my Craftster afghan and will always hold a special place in my heart. I love how different they are - I was figuring I'd just get plain ol' garter stitch - what a spoiler you are, oneredboot! And the checkbook covers are perfect. I explained to oneredboot that I keep losing my checkbooks and needed something pretty to help me keep track of them. I didn't know she was going to send me both of the ones I needed, though!   :o  Thanks so much, oneredboot, I love it all!

And from nofury, there were two packages for the two times she claimed me (at least so far!)  :D  The first was my custom return address stamp. I'm in love with it! I have a new obsession - pelicans - and nofury found the perfect stencil for it. She created the artwork and had it ordered special just for little ol' me. I love how hefty this guy is - this puppy will last me for years! And I wanted to block out my actual address (stay away, internet pervs!), but it's the same font as my name. It really is absolutely perfect in every single way and lots of you guys will see it in person someday as I'll be using it on every single one of my swap packages (and the crappy bills, too)!

The second package was a wisty surprise. Some lovely, super-soft and very cheery wristwarmers and some awesome "happy homemaker" notecards. The wristwarmers are perfect, nofury, and they came at a perfect time. Our shop office isn't heated (just a spacewarmer) and my hands were going numb today when I was working up proposals. These guys will keep my hands warm for sure! And I love how soft they are, they're gonna be perfect! (She also included some extra yarn, just in case, and the uber-cute flowers you see on there are attached with pins, so I can put 'em on something else if I want.) Nofury, I don't have the card in front of me, but I think you said they were knit from Belgium yarn? Man, I feel spoiled! And the notecards are perfect - my hubby's going to get one of these mailed to him for sure!   ;D

Thank you so, so much oneredboot and nofury - I feel incredibly lucky and spoiled to have been chosen by you two. You are both amazing crafters and Craftsters and I can't thank you enough for cheering up my day!

Title: Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 33 Gallery
Post by: nofury on April 14, 2008 04:03:22 PM
YAY!!! I'm so glad you liked everything!!! The wrist warmers were my first attempt with dpn's, and I freakin' loved it! The instant I finished yours, I made some for me with a 2x2 rib: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=239757.msg2637348#msg2637348 .

You're correct, the yarn is from Belgium, and I just want to hug it all the time. It's easily the SOFTEST acrylic EVER. You'd think it was made from clouds. Seriously.

Oh, and if you wear that wrist warmer on the other hand, the flower is on the top!  ;)

I was so stressing about that stamp. I can't stand not to see it in person first, but it's silly to pay shipping twice.

I'm so glad you liked everything. You do send WONDERFUL packages, and I was hoping to be able to send yous something you can enjoy as much as I've enjoyed what you've sent me.

If anyone else wants a stamp, put it on your list!

So, I got my awesome apron from the lovely Therisa today! Brighten up the ridiculous line I had to wait in to send my package out to la_chrystelle(on its way to The Netherlands now!). Knew I shouldn't have went on Tax Day, but I didn't want to wait any longer.  Anywho, on with the pic-whoring:

I got a lovely package from shiitake today - a bundle of 1970s teen mag pictures that had me ROFL (reminded me of the UK mag 'Jackie" I used to get then) , and loads of lovely bits and pieces, plus some ATCs and origami paper that is almost too nice to use! THanks again

I recieved a wonderful package from Sajona.  In her package she included two Bruda World of Fashion magazines <squeal!!> and I have already found two things I really want to make for this summer (surprisingly enough I MIGHT already have the fabric as well)!!  She included some great yarn, a really cute needle holder and two sets of needles!!  A needle guage and two really nice patterns.  One is a 50s<??> style and is from a company in England and the other is a regency doll dress (also english).  The dress pattern is really pretty.  I can see a spring outfit of this one (I have so many things I want to make I really should plan a year in advance  :D)

Thank you so much for a wonderful package!!

I recieved from Quilted yesterday!  She claimed me for hair ties, vintage brooch, and supplies.  I love the hair ties she sent me, they are exactly what I was hoping for.  The fabrics she used are really pretty, I wish I could see what the whole prints look like.  The brooch she sent me is from her grandparent's costume jewelry store, and although she isn't sure exactly when it was made, but it's definatly pre-1965.  I can't wait to use it as an embellishment on a bag I'm making for my mom, she will just love it!  Also included were lots of zippers, which I really need (big project), some neat buttons and snaps, and two sheets of felt (not pictured) which I've already cut to use on a project!  Sorry for the camera phone pics, I was having trouble with my camera last night so decided to make sure I get some photos up and used the camera phone.  :)

She also sent me a letter on wonder woman stationary, which was really cool!  I wanted to get a close-up of the brooch, but it refused to be photographed. I will try to get better pics up when I figure out what happened to my camera (probably toddler related).

Thanks Quilted!!!!!!

I received a FABULOUS package from threadoryarn!!!

She made me the dodecahedron from my wists:

It now resides on the book shelf in my cube with all my other stuffies, next to my club penguin puffle and on the stand for tinkerbell's keyhole statue.

Such pretty colors!

AND - she included the thread cutter I had on my wishlist:

I plan on wearing it on a necklace so it looks like part of my personal decor instead of a cutter - I hope it sneaks past TSA for my trips or I will be VERY sad.

THANK YOU AGAIN THREADORYARN!!!!

I received a lovely package from girlosun_9 yesterday!  She made a green tea wallet with a ladybug button (it was filled with chamomile tea bags!) and several reusable tea bags.

My favorite tea bag has wavy stitching:

Thanks so much, girlosun_9!  I'm so happy with these tea accoutrements.  Thank you!

And I got a great package from quilted today! Here's all the loot together:

There's the rolled-up utensil roll (with matching fabric-covered button! I love that detail!), a collection of easy vegan recipes, cool little paper and cloth findings, letter in an envelope made from a calendar page, and, drum roll, she surprised me with a pack of cloth tape for making books and boxes!! This stuff is expensive and it isn't sold locally, so that was a rather exciting thing to find in the package!  ;D
Here is the inside of the pretty utensil roll, which has a matching cloth napkin--another thing that's super-cool! I love the colors and I'm taking it on my next trip with me (probably this weekend); since I'm not working right now I can keep it nice and preserved, and it will last me a long time.

Thank you so much for this awesome package, quilted, and for helping me go green and veg!  :)

I got my lovely handspun from ThreadOrYarn last night! And not one, but two skeins - are you kidding me?!?

Look how yummy it is!

I love how squishy the colored one is and I love the rustic colors. Definitely a good, chunky fall scarflette. And the cream yarn is so pretty! I haven't decided what to do with that one yet, so it's sitting on my crafting desk just waiting for inspiration.

And then, as an added bonus, TorY knit me three squares for my Craftster afghan! Wowzer! I love 'em all (and thanks for leaving the tail to weave them in - I never thought of that)!

Thank you so, so much TorY, I feel incredibly spoiled. (You can claim me for handspun anytime!)   ;D

I received my sewing machine cover from farmgirljane.  She asked me if I'd like a soft cover or a carry case and I voted for carry case... here it is!

she also asked me favourite themes and i said i loved Frida Kahlo.  Have you ever seeeen anything more fridaesque?!  Especially the huge beads on the handles.  oooh and here is the back...

and here is a close up of the front with the stencil of frida (in felt!) i am in awe of anyone who is patient enough to cut things out (i can't).

mimiw claimed me for a suncatcher and ended up sending me this big piece! She perused my wists, saw my obviously love for owls, and came up with this beauty!

This work of art is absolutely gorgeous - my pictures simply do not do it justice! Seriously, mimiw, you totally and completely spoiled me. I am in awe that you took the time to do this piece for me - thank you so, so much! It has a permanent place of honor in my craft room on the window. I knew it would happen this way - as soon as I ran off for the weekend, I get packages!

So my apologies for the late posting.... this came Friday or Saturday, I got it late Sunday night when I got home...

Catpants claimed me for hand spun yarn.  She can spin me yarn anytime she wants!  I love the colors, which pick up on the oceany type colors in my BR - browns, aquas, cream, all of it - and it's merino wool, so it's so soft i keep going over and stroking it.  ok, weird, i know, but this IS craftster-world, right?

Cat, thank you so much!  i love that you gave me the content and yardage in the note, so i can work out what pattern to use this for!

Are the suncatchers hard to do? I have a random window in my house that is up high and covered with textured smoked glass...so it's purposeless right now. I thing some color there would be wonderful!

And Dulcinea- this is totally the place to share something like that!  :D I buy ribbon just to look at it and feel it's smoothness.

They aren't necessarily hard to do; just time consuming, lots of steps and dangerous to your fingers!.  If you are planning on trying to do it yourself I would see if there are any stained glass stores in your area that you could work at.  The materials and tools are not cheap and there is a lot of trial and error involved.  Glass itself is anywhere from $5 - $30 for a 10x10 piece and then there is the copper foil, flux, solder, iron, etc...Plus, glass ends up everywhere!!  I have been working in the garage and now we don't park in there since there is no controlling the glass shards!

I just got back from a lovely trip and I have photos of 2 lovely packages to share!

First I received from arwena:

That's the magical cooling neck-wrap in its dormant state, with a bonus pack of eyelets just because she's a nice person!  :) The neck-wrap gets soaked in water, and then goes into action as a big, squishy source of coldness for hot days. No action shot because it isn't very hot here today (yet). I love these, and they last for years if they're cared for properly. I loaned my last one to someone who didn't take care of it and it got mildewed (ick). So I am so excited to have a new, clean, pretty one crafted just for me!  ;D

Then last night I walked in to find this package from Therisa waiting for me!

She sent Dover books, Egyptian gift wrap, rolls of transfer foil, foam for mounting little stamps, and moose stickers (definitely not something I could find in California)! It's a great haul, and lots-o-fun.

Thanks to both arwena and Therisa for all the crafty goodness! I think I overuse that phrase, but it works!  ;D

I received a yummy smelling tea wallet from Pinupmommy!  I apologize for my tardiness in posting pictures!  I will really enjoy using this in my everyday travels -- having MY OWN TEA to choose from at a restaurant or just at the gas station or drive thru is a BONUS!

A picture of the great fabric she used on the outside:

A picture of the dotted swiss with green polka dot fabric pockets on the inside (I love dotted swiss -- takes me back to my childhood!):

The teas she included smell of cinnamon and peaches and spices!  YUM!!!

I made a wishlist on amazon.com instead of wisting books, because there are so many that interest me! You can also put music, movies, or any other stuff they sell on the site onto the wishlist, but I try to keep non-books to a minimum since it's primarily for my crafting and wellbeing intererests.

Well! Now that the photo hosting is cooperating with me, I have a few to share.

AsphaltQueen claimed me for a boatload of circular needles. First, picture what you believe to be a boatload....then behold....hehe

I would have been happy with 5. I have none, so that would have been an amazing start:

Ok, maybe that's a kayak load. lol. This would have freaked me out (10):

However, this is apparently what a boatload is! Behold my ***18*** NEW circular needles!!!

AQ: feel free to claim me anytime! lol THANKS so much!!!

I also received from DIYho who claimed me for cotton yarn and crochet hooks. She seriously delivered! My crochet hook roll is like 10x as heavy as it was!!!

I'm going to use the new yarn to make a market bag for our farmer's market!!!

Can I say it again? I FREAKIN' LOVE THIS SWAP!!!

and there's more that are outside of the picture! here's closeups of the 2 designs -

And she even sent me a few ponytail holders -

The cards about 4" square and in 4-5 different colors. They're absolutely gorgeous. I asked for this size so I can use them in my swap packages.

Yesterday I received from homerof2, catpants, and atsuko.  I got some awesome goodies.  (Sorry so pic heavy, everything came at once!)

First, from homerof2, there are fat quarters and scraps for my postage stamp quilt and some cool stamps from Canada.  The turtle is my fave.

Next, from catpants, I got some fingerless mitts from my wist that are sooo cute.  We got 6 inches of snow here yesterday so the timing was perfect.  I love them!  She also sent me a fat quarter and some cut squares for my postage stamp quilt and two birdie necklaces.

Both of the mitts in action:

And last, but not least, atsuko sent me FIVE Blythe dresses!  The first pic is Rayne modeling her favorite in my extremely messy "just got home from shopping" craft room and the second shows the other four:

There are kitties, plaids, stripes and peter rabbit!

SQUEAL!

I got my package today from Samsara and it's SO COOL! :) She picked me for a Goddess figure and she didn't disappoint! The pendant even has a little sodalite chip tucked in her head! I also got a little journal with my name on it. MY NAME. :) How cool is that? (Sorry, I get excited...You don't get many personalised items when your name is Wondra. Lol.) She even sent me a pair of purple horns like a pair I've got on my wists. Thanks so much Samsara, it's all AWESOME!

Here's the whole package:

And here's a close-up of my Goddess:

The weird thing is that my knitting needle roll that I made not-so-well a while back has black and white polka dot ribbon too LOL

Thank you so much la_chrystelle!  I really love it and both are already in use in my 'Yarn Night" bag :D

I finally got the camera working!  Thanks for being so patient.  Here are all the beautiful things I received from the talented crafters on Crafster for OWS 32 and 33!  If I missed anyone, I am sorry!  Let me know and I will get pics.

I just received a Crop-A-Dile from calluna.  It's amazing!  I thought it was only for scrapbooking (paper), but after more research, I can punch holes in metal, leather, fabric, etc.!  Thank you!

She also sent a corner punch and some lovely tags!

I received not one, but two pairs of boot warmers from frosty772.  They are beautiful!  Nobody around here has seen anything like them before!  I get lots of compliments.

I have had a japenese sling bag on my wists forever!  Arwena chose me for a surprise purse from my wists!  I was hoping it was that one and it was!  She made it reversible and I love the fabrics.  I can't decide which one I like the best!

I received four tea wallets from maxparadise, but only three are in the picture because my sister snatched one from me!  Three were made of fabric and one was made of a heavy cardboard.  They are really nice!

I just want to say thank you so much to everyone!  You are great!

I am getting no response from bhean about the package I sent her in OWS32.  It was an altered book shrine from her wists, but I gothed it up a bit because her profile said she like goth.  Here are some pics.

I hope she liked it!

Also, I love the tea wallets! Such great fabric choices!

Can you explain how Arwena's purses work? Do you slip one handle through the other?

I hadn't either!  I had done altered books before, but I wasn't sure where the shrine came in!  You carve a niche out of the back, kind of like you were making a book safe, but you place pictures and items in the niche.  I then glued most of the pages together except for a few, on which I did the pictures and the poetry.  That way she can open it and display it to various pages.  It was fun!

The fabric is wonderful on the tea wallets!  maxparadise did a great job!

The purse handle do slip into each other so that you are only actually holding one handle.  Does that make sense?  It really is a gorgeous purse!  The pics do not do the fabric justice!  Thank you so much arwena!

I'm finally posting! I took the pics right away, but I'm knee deep in crafting and other obligations. Just took some time before I uploaded them!

randymacker07 claimed me for an embroidery kit. I was AMAZED!!! I really didn't know what to expect, but I LOVE everything! First it was all wrapped in lots of red tissue paper: a beautiful package! (Note to future claims: you'll probably see some of it coming your way since I love to recycle packing stuff!)

Here's the entire package:

Everything is wonderful! I especially love that she washed and ironed the tea towels before sending so that I wouldn't have to wait! lol. It's like she knows me! She also sent a plastic hoop that looks VERY durable, some embroidery floss on a metal ring (LOVE!!!), floss, stitch-it kit book that explains ALL KINDS of stitches, a needle book, and some AMAZING patterns. She couldn't have put together a package that better reflected my taste!

I do have a question or two for others who have embroidered before. First, where do I get tea towels? They're meant to be used as hand towels right? I know I could use them for decoration, too. I've only seen the ones on craftster, and they're usually covered with embroidery. I'm guessing those are meant to be more decorative???

Ok, now I have to give you a close-up of the needle book she sent. The fabric choice was perfect. I must say that I gasped when I unwrapped it!!!

Now, how many of you, after seeing this, are going to add embroidery kit to your wish list???

Thanks randymacker07!!! I'm incredibly excited. The package was perfect!

Well I received two wonderful packages when I got home today!

First from Poerava:

A beautiful knitted with beads in it cuff bracelet and 2 pendants. I am very impressed with the knitting but couldn't get a closeup since my camera is being wonky. Poerava, if you have a better pic please post it I want you to get well deserved credit for the bracelet!!

From nofury:

A make your own paper kit with lots of extras....
like

and this handmade instruction book

and these cute cross stitches

There was also a book about Feng Shui (i need some order in my life), a cute keychain that says "Lead me not into temptation...I can find it myself" (so true), all kinds of goodies to add into the paper (like sequins, easter grass, wrapping paper, yarns, actual grass, etc), 2 pairs of earrings (I think), a knitted cuff, chinese checkers (which I love), a beautiful wood covered mirror, and of course the hoop for the deckle and mesh. All of which came in a giant box full of shredded newspaper for me to use (which made me giggle cause it escaped everywhere). I couldn't take anymore pics cause of the above camera being wonky again!! Note to self-may be time for new camera!!

Thanks so much Poerava and nofury!!! I loved everything!!

Gorgeous bag Homer (well everything in this gallery is gorgeous, I can just only remember the very last thing I saw).  :)

From now on I'm only claiming people living on the East Coast.  atsuko received from me today, but the two packages I mailed west on the same day are still in transit.  Anyway, since I actually remembered to take a pic of the blanket I sent, here it is hanging on my deck.

This was my first diagonal experiment.  Should I do it again, I have learned that hdc would result in a much more square shape, cause with single crochet I made a slightly wonky diamond.   I think it's pretty though, and I doubt the baby will notice.  :)

I'm so glad that you liked everything nofury! You can buy the tea towels I sent you from Wal-Mart. You get them in packs of five and they are really large. You can cut them down and re-hem them (or add pretty bias tape like some of the tea towel tour towels) to make them any size you like. Sublime Stitching also sells a nice towel as well as Aunt Martha's which you can pick up at Hancock Fabrics, or any other fabric store that carries the aunt martha transfers.

Also, the ring with the floss is how I organize my floss for a project. I have a plastic case with all my floss and then I have one of those rings as well. I pick all the colors I will use for my project and I put them on the ring. Then if I need more of a color that I used earlier I don't have to try color matching or remembering to write those pesky color numbers down! I hope that helps you! And I forgot to mention two of the things of floss (the pink and teal) are verigated floss, so the color will change and shade your stitching as you go. Have fun and enjoy your embroidering!

Elmpixie received so I thought I would post what I made.  I hadn't made a row counter bracelet before, but I thought it turned out pretty good.  She likes amethyst, so I used that, abalone, aventurine and some dyed shells.

Here is the bracelet: (excuse my crapola pics, i forgot to change a setting after i took some etsy pics in my "studio" and everything has a grayish tint to it)

matching earrings:

one set of stitch markers:

second set:

and 2.5 yards of toile fabric, which she is making a summer dress with that i can't wait to see!:

I am glad you liked everything elmpixie, and also super glad we are doing a personal swap because of it!!

So, many of you may have seen my pesky CBT model art wish on my list (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=240681.0)? If not, have no fear, I'm going to keep it on there for a few months in hopes of having additional pieces. Sorry!

Anyways, ThreadOrYarn was the first to bravely try her hand at creating a physical representation of the Cognitive Model! Hooray!!!!!!!

This was her original idea:

I've been thinking about the cognitive model you've got listed. Would something like this work?

Start with 2 balls of unspun fiber (red & blue for example)
Event - spinning into yarn
Result - blended yarn in a red/blue/purplish-looking color
"Good" interpretation - COOL!! I made purple yarn!!
"Bad" interpretation - It was supposed to be red & blue STRIPES. I'm so stupid I can't even make stripes

Maybe as a basket full of yarn balls & unspun fiber?

And here is the beautiful result:

She sent three unspun fiber Squisheroos (I don't think that's the technical term), and two different versions of the spun result. All of it will be artfully placed in the elegant glass bowl.

Seriously, it is so beautiful in person. Also, it's so wonderfully tactile!!! I keep squishing it, and loving it, and petting it, and calling it "George."

It will be a phenomenal centerpiece to my new office!

I made farmgirljane 5 squares for her scrappy quilt and she's received them.  Hopefully she's not trying to keep them a secret because I thought I would post a picture of them.

They are 2.5", 5.5", 6.5", 9.5" and 12.5"

Sunspotted has really outdone herself! She claimed me for a vehicle stuffie for my son, and she produced this incredible crocheted ambulance!

As you can see below, it was snatched away from me as I was trying to take pics from all sides. After letting his brothers sniff it, my son immediately began to "drive" it all around the kitchen. He looked at the whole time I changed him for his nap and kept clapping for it  :D It's with him in his crib now, while he's sleeping. Sunspotted also included an awesome pamphlet about ambulances in English and French! So cool, you Canadians!

Close-up:

Mr. Grabbie Hands wants his new toy:

Everyone gets a chance to smell it:

The test drive:

Sunspotted, thank you so much! This is really exceptional.

that's a fabulous vehicle stuffie!  i'm so glad you included the photos of your little guy--not only is he adorable, but it shows how big the stuffie is!!  it's almost as big as he is!  looks like it would make a great nap pillow, too.  :)  that's great, sunspotted, nice work!!

LOL, the all-important sniff-test!  :D Notice that both the dogs are trying to sniff the back of the ambulance--hence, the ambulance's butt. Dogs always crack me up.

Great work on that huge stuffie!

Hopefully she's not trying to keep them a secret because I thought I would post a picture of them.

Nope not trying to keep them a secret, actually took pics last night, and was going to post this morning.  My fav is the little 2 1/2inch one with the sunflower in the centre but I like them all.  Hopefully one day I will have enough to make a quilt.  I really must start sewing these with my mountain of scraps.

I'm glad it was a hit, quilted.  No matter how many times I washed it (3 actually, individual pieces, sewn together but not stuffed and one final just before it went in the box to the mail) I'm sure residual cat, dog and the toddlers I tested it on smells remained.

quilted kindly didn't mention that I used her son as a guinea pig.  I've been planning an ambulance stuffie for my nephew for awhile.  I worked out the kinks with this one.  :)

Anyway, here's one more picture with it's life-size model.

Wow sunspotted! Your ambulance stuffie for quilted is fantastic! I'm inspired to make one for my cousin's baby :)

Sorry for the late pic post, but I was having problems with uploading photos, so I caved and signed up with flickr ;D

First up, a beautiful tote bag from girlosun_9. Isn't is lovely? The brown fabric is really beautiful with a little pink star pattern and the lining is a lovely shade of pink. My favorite part of course is the delicate embroidered flowers. Thanks so much, girlosun!!

And I loved everything I received from AsphaltQueen! she is indeed queen of awesome OWS swap packages!!
Recycled sari silk yarn, the colors are absolutely gorgeous, (sorry you can't tell from the picture :() I've been having fun knitting it up in different patterns trying to decide which one I like best for a shawl/wrap type thing

I adore every one of these charms! especially the bird with the branch in its beak and the keys and owl beads :)

And a very special surprise ~~~> my name in scrabble letters! it's craftster art for my cube! how awesome is that! I love the wood burned flower vine on the red wooden bead and the giant key that balances on my name, and on the far right is a heart with a charm that says "create"~ love it!

She packaged it in a handmade paper box and the lid has cute little gnomes all over it! so super cute! *must* find more of that paper :)
And here it is "in action" (hehe~! ;D) on my second PC at work

I can't say it enough but thank you AsphaltQueen!!!

(Sorry, mimiw, I still haven't received your package yet ??? It's so odd because you sent before everyone else! :-\ I'm looking out for it every day  :o)

A gorgeous log cabin pillow cover, and four reversible headbands from mimiw. Everything is so well made, very professional, and the fabrics are lovely! See how the pillow cover just happened to compliment my couch fabric?

Thank you so much mimiw, I love my package! I'll be wearing my first headband tomorrow!

She claimed me for hand made cards and look at how many she sent  :o :o

There really are sooo many!  And there are envelopes in the ziplock bag.

And, as if that wasn't enough, she also sent me some fabric from Ikea!!  3 whole yards!!!!

I received from ritapizza today.  She claimed me for a wrist pincushion and she also sent some tea and sheet music for my gigantic piano decoupage project!!!!  The pin cushion is so gorgeous.  I tried to get an action shot, but it's not very good (my camera skills are nil).  Thanks so much rita.  I absolutely love it!

Love the windchime! I'll probably forget to add it to my list, but feel free to claim me for it!

And for anyone who may want a scrabble nameplate (I can do kids names, too, with appropriate glue-ons), put it on your list. It's a good add-on item for claims that are mainly supplies.

My Fun little update: When I claimed Therisa for some bath scrubs I had no idea she lived only ten minutes away from my house! I could walk there. I actually got to skip the PO and hand deliver it! Sadly, she wasn't home, so I had to leave her package on the doorstep. We'll have to plan another Ann Arbor craft meetup soon! Here's a quickie photo of what I made for her...

It's mostly epsom salts and essential oil, but the fragrances for the sweet pea and clean sweep are just blends I purchased. The lemon drop one is lemon oil, which smells vaguely of booze, hence the name. The baby scent is just baby oil! I ran out of almond oil (my personal fave) before I made these, unfortunately. The coloring is just a teensy half drop of food coloring. It won't stain your tub or skin!

I received the BEST package from Rosanna9041. She claimed me for already put together scrapbooks for my nephews (so I could just put the pics in) and she totally outdid herself! She made the coolest scrapbook, I wanna say 8x8? with absolutely perfect pages to match up with pics of the boys, and then she sent a bunch of amazing extras--a super cute tote bag, another mini scrapbook, keychain, stickers and tattoos and toys for the boys! I have a killer headache, and this totally made me feel better! I am off to lay down on the couch for a little bit, but will have pics up soon!

I claimed Banga for a prayer shawl for her friend April, who's quite ill.

Banga received the package today, and has asked me to post photo so that she can keep the shawl wrapped until she delivers it tomorrow.

The shawl was actually a mystery shawl knit-along that I did.  But it was such a special shawl, it felt right to send it to Banga for her friend.

So here are pictures- it's a laceweight merino wool, light as a feather, but giving warmth:

Banga, I hope that April feels wrapped up in love and prayers from Wisconsin.

Btw...I have to say thanks to you for the amusement your package created here. My husband has been living in fear since he asked what I was doing and my response was "Making a uterus."  ;) Well...Technically my response was "Making a uterus. I've never made a uterus before. Indeed. Dulcinea is an angel! The faculty and staff at my school thought long and hard about what kind of gift would be appropriate, and I just knew a  shawl would be lovely. I never thought that anyone would claim it from my list, let alone make something so downright gorgeous! I peeked without unwrapping the whole thing and the color is so rich in person. It is also really soft and light, which I think will be perfect. It's not just body-warming, it's heart-warming! Thank you again a million times Dulcinea for being such an amazing and generous person!

I'm sorry I'm just now getting around to posting this Rosanna9041 (crazy, crazy weekend)! She made me the bestest package! She claimed me for a mini scrapbook for my nephews, but sent so much more (and did a totally amazing job on the scrapbook!) And Dane and Aidan are going to totally need their goodies now, 'cause they have a new baby brother who is getting all the attention!

Really cute tote bag! The lining has all kinds of animals on it. Pirate tattoos for the boys, and transformers activity book, they are going to flip, and some note cards for me!

Little craft kit for the boys, emergency vehicles, construction stickers, and tissue holder

Stickers, mini scrap book, corners, and photo keychain

Still with me?? Ok, here's the scrapbook! (well some of my fave layouts, it has tons of pages, and is 8 x8!)

Thank you!

Two packages in two days! That's awesome!

First I received from educharme. I just kept pulling out more stuff! She claimed me for a bento book, glass beads and a surprise.

First the Bento book. She said she wasn't happy with it, so she's sending me another! Very thoughtful, and I thank you! I'm sure I'll be using both!

Then the glass beads--BEAUTIFUL!!!

and more.... (I love the heart and the leaves!):

The surprises!!!
Some great recipes! I can't wait! Where did you get the recipe cards? I love the green color! and your handwriting is ... PERFECT!

And (it's so beautiful! it's like she knows me!) a blank Bento Recipe book she embellished. (again: so BEEEEEEEEEEEutiful!)

Tell me that's not gorgeous! You can't, can you! I actually gasped when I pulled it out of the package!

Next day I received my package from girlosun_9 who claimed me for some work placemats/silverware rolls and napkins. She was concerned about the fabric, but I really, really love it!!!

First set: LOVE! she make the napkin an interesting shape too!

Second set, done with metallic silver thread which I LOVELOVELOVE and which I've heard is very difficult to work with (thanks!)

She added this awesome wave design at the top:

YAY to me! lol

I really do love the metallic thread. I have some dress shirts that have just a bit running through the fabric. Makes me feel SEXY!!!

I can't WAIT to make something with those beads!!!

GREATEST SWAP EVER!!!

Sansa claimed me for some quilting magazines and sent these 4 great ones:

Then she decided that it wasn't crafty enough so she decided to make something from my wist and sent me this fantastic 'eye pod'

I had originally put this on my wist list because I planned to make it from my brother but it's so cute and my family has gotten so many laughs from it, I just can't part with it!

I claimed nofury for a craftster package for her mom.  Since mom isn't on craftster and doesn't have a digi cam, I am posting pics:

First, I made her a necklace.  I made the bail myself from wire and attached it to faux suede cord:

Next, I bought some cute gardening gloves and beaded them with swarovski crystals and flower buttons from my stash:

I also included some handmade soap from a store I went to in NC.  There is Carolina Jasmine and Peaches and Cream.  Here is everything together:

The only things that didn't make it in the pics were the two 1/2 pound hershey bars I bought for her on the way to the post office!

Let me know how she likes everything nofury!

Arwena! She's going to love everything! (Good thing I'm not closer 'cause that necklace might just disappear! lol) The gloves are amazing, too. I can't wait for her to receive! I can hear her now, "Jennifer Anne!" She'll start complaining that someone worked so hard making something for her, but then she'll go on and on about how wonderful everything is! And she'll probably be eating a hershey bar in the process!

aww thanks everyone.  the necklace was just made from a pack of "organics" charms i found at michaels (which i had to buy about 3 of, because i thought they were so cool)

the bail... well i just winged it.  i had some silver no tarnish wire and just cut about a foot of it and started wrapping around my round nose pliers.  after a few minutes of tweeking... voila!

the charm on the pendant is a bit smaller than a half inch, for scale.  it is hard to see in the pic what size it is.

i am glad you think you mom will like everything.  those hershey bars are HUGE!  let me know what she thinks!

I received on Friday! Well, actually I got the note from the PO on Thursday, which meant I had to wait and wait until Friday :)

I present to you...a FABRICGASM!

Sunspotted sent me an awesome package! My favorites include the turtle batik (which will become matching wallets for a friend and me), the freaking awesome upholstery samples, and the gold fabric, which will totally become a cape for my two-year-old.

THANK YOU!! I was so jealous of the yarngasms and I am but a mere knifty knitter, but a fabricgasm was just what I needed. :)

hngoodlett claimed me for some fabric I had on my wist and sent even more than I requested!!  She also included some gum and pens which didn't make it in the picture:

I think this will become a valance for my kitchen but I'm still thinking about pillow covers for the family room instead.

yup - your pictures are WAY better than mine!  thanks, this way everyone can see how cool the bracelet is....

and i think i'm torn between the strawberry, and the round polymer clay one... or maybe the cloisonne one... and i love how you snuck a dragonfly   TWO dragonflies in there, too! (how did i miss that second one?)

Title: Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 33 Gallery

the dragonflies are funny because i have had those for a long time, but of course when i needed them, they were no where to be found!  after much searching, and cleaning, they resurfaced and i was stoked about adding them.  my biggest concern was the size, did it fit your itty bitty wrists?  :)

That bracelet is cool! I always wonder if I could stand to wear one of those, or would the jingling noise drive me crazy?   ::)

Look what I got today from bkrenning4! An awesome package of pelican-goodness! (Why, whatever on my wishlist tipped you off?)

First up, some gorgeous pelican notecards. These are so perfect - I love the variety of images! I think my absolute fave is the bottom center card - I currently have it sitting on my crafting desk for inspiration. I don't think this one is gonna get mailed!   ;D

Then, an amazing handpainted (or stenciled, something like that) pelican tote bag! I actually squealed like a baby pig when I saw this (and that's a compliment). I'm totally in love with this and I think this is gonna be my new library tote. (I'm blown away by how professional this tote looks, bkrenning4, you did an amazing job.)

And to top it all off, a pelican beanie baby. How cute is he? I think I'm gonna name him George. Don't know why, but it seems to suit him.  ;D

Thank you so, so much bkrenning4! You spoiled me to the hilt - and I love it!   ;D

I received from girlosun_9 today!

I got two kitchen towels (love them both!), a tea wallet with tea, and a sweet little thank you note from her kid (from when I claimed girlosun_9 for some crocheted elephants).  It was so nice seeing those stickers again -- what a sweet and thoughtful kid!

I really truly love it all!  Thanks, girlosun_9!

How come I always get such great stuff? One of these days, don't you just expect to get totally crapped on? But it never happens!  You're all so darn talented!

it fit well, yes, and thank you!  it's hard, even with watches, if you can take links out, i have to take out all the spare links, and they still end up too big.

and ya know?  if you gain weight.... it's generally not in your wrists!

I am so glad you liked it!  It was an image I found online and stenciled using freezer paper.  Then I handpainted the fence in.  So, you were right both times:  stenciled and handpainted!  Originally, it was going to be a t-shirt, but then I changed my mind and did the tote.  It was really fun to make.  I am going to try to fill some wishes in the next round for stenciled items.

Ok, several things to say....

Arwena!! Mom received her package today, and she LOVED it! She was so blown away! She said it made her day! She loved the chocolate, will wear the necklace when she goes into town, can't stop smelling the soaps, and says the gloves are just too beautiful to wear! Thanks so much for making such a wonderful package!

Poerava!! Glad you like all the stuff. I really hope it helps to build up your stash!

Mimiw!!! The side of the stamp is blurry!!! What happened??? It looks like it got wet. Was the package damaged? Can you replace the paper?  :-\  :'( I really like the text/graphic combo you picked. It looks even better there than it did on my screen!

Regarding the stamp, I designed it, but I didn't carve it. Lines are a little TOO fine. It would have been a disaster!!! If anyone would like one, I LOVE doing these. Just put them on your list, and I'll claim them....when I have claims again!

Yup, it got wet, but it was totally my fault, not the PO's or anything.  I can replace the paper and since I have downloaded that font I can replace it with exactly what was there  :)  It is a fantastic stamp, nofury - I love, love, love it!

How do I get my hands on one o' those?!?

Edit: Oh! Nevermind! She explained it on page 27. Adding it to my Round 34 List!!

i received my wisty surprise from snowyangel today!!  she picked me for a wisty surprise, and BOY, was I surprised.

A new project bag (or it may be a toss everything in it purse, not sure yet), with a mickey stencilled on the outside, which is this nice soft jersey type fabric, and this amazing jewel toned shimmery fabric for the lining (complete with pocket)!

then she added in a couple of coffees (i think she's stoking up my caffeine addiction so she can hit me up for another knitted something or other), a sticky note pad (which i always need) and some fun stickers.

Snowy, thank you so much - this was SUCH a fun package to receive today!

I got my very awesome package from Samsara on Friday but this is the first chance I've gotten to post pictures. She drew me a tree (I'm mad about trees. Yup, I have been known to hug them. ;) ) and surprised me with a jar of whimsies as well!

Here they are together:

And here's just the fabness of the tree:

Love the sprials. :)

And here are the whimsies dumped all over my desk:

Look! Dominoes! I may actually have a go at making pendants...

Sorry its taken so long to post this - I've had exams. This is the wonderful stuff I got from Calluna, she sent soooo much, fabric, cooky cutters, glass marbles, rubber stamps, really cute apron (which I have now realised I don't have a photo of so you will just have to take my word for it about how cute it is) and a ton brilliant of paper ephemera.

Thankyou so much calluna

Wow, there are some beautiful things in this gallery! I wanted to finally post some pictures of packages I have received for OWS-33. They are great so get your wisting buttons ready!

First up is a beautiful apron from Homerof2. I told her I loved pink and green and she delivered! Isn't that material beautiful? I just absolutely love it, thank you Homerof2!

My cat London loves to inspect every package that comes into the house, she gives it two paws up!

The second package is from the wonderful Bettflow. She claimed me for crocheted swiffer cloths, recipes, post-its, and list pads. What a great package! I love the crochet work, I really need to learn how to do it. And the recipes look delish, I can't wait to try some later this week. Thank you Bettflow!

And finally I received my Shrinky Dink kit from em0tionalprayer, it is a mixed pack with all different types to try. I will be sure to put some of my creations on craftster when I make something. I think I am going to try one of those charm type bracelets first. Thank you em0tionalprayer

I claimed maremare for clothes for her nephews. They are veggietale fans - and I had tons of vt fabric - so I had to claim! I used some blank t shirts (I got loads in a co-op a few years ago) and I used bondaweb to attach the cut out shapes and then satin stitch on the machine to attach securely (I used a tearaway stabiliser underneath). I then used the shorts pattern I had (a kwik sew one) to make the shorts. There are 2 sets in size 2 and 2 in size 4. I must keep an eye out for maremare to come up on OWS 34 so I can claim for a teeny baby outfit for the new one (he really looks teeny - did he arrive early?)

I know - it is impossible in the UK, I was lucky and saw them in the 'everythings a $1' section at fabric.com and bought as much as I could afford! the shipping is a killer so you have to be careful how much yardage to buy at a time.

They are so cute! We used to all sing the veggie tales theme song together when we watched a show, but now the boys don't let me sing with them anymore! I guess they're old enough to figure out I have a terrible voice!

And I was so surprised at the huge amount of clothing! Thanks so much Sajona. I'm going to get action shots of the boys next time they are over in them, hopefully I will have a new camera battery by then! The new baby was induced 2 weeks early, but he was 7 lbs, 21 inches. You always forget how tiny they are when they're new. I keep saying, "there is no way Aidan was ever that tiny" but then my sister in law told me she has some clothes Aidan wore as a newborn that are too small for Tristan...so obviously Aidan was even smaller!

 Thank you!

he looks tiny to me - my babies were 7lbs 5oz, 8lb 3oz, 8lb 11oz and 8lb 2oz.. - only the first fitted his newborn for more than 3 days!

Ooh I love British chocolate! Mmm, Cadbury! When I was in London, that's practically the only thing we ate. We were on a school tour, and the places we had to eat dinner at were not very good, except for this awesome curry meal, so we supplemented our diets by buying tons of cadbury evertime we rode the subway!

My laptop has been repaired, so now I can post some pics of some of the lovely things I have received in this swap.

quilted's apron - thank you so much!  It fits perfectly.

Calluna created two envelope bags, and also sent floss and a floss organizer (plus some silk scraps for panty fronts)!  Thank you very much - it was very generous.

Dianamariemtv created the cutest utensil roll and napkin!  My colleagues are impressed with it, and with me for carrying it!  She also sent several skeins of floss.  I am very appreciative!

There are more, more lovely gifts from other swappers to post - I gotta go around the house and get them from their various places to post them tomorrow.  Thanks to calluna, quilted, and dianamariemtv

Indeed, that's exactly what has happened.  But I'm happy now because I can also couch the floss, and by means of this swap I've had a lot of fun.  Plus I swapped a lot of items which I didn't need/want for fun things that I do want.  I took floss off the list now, though!

Behold, the awesomeness I just received from farmgirljane:

This gorgeous sturdy box to store my overabundance of scrapbook paper...I am so impressed! (My itchy dog is munching on herself in the background.) We talked about Day of the Dead or a patchwork for possible designs/motifs, and she decided combined them--quite nicely! She said it didn't turn out the way she wanted it to, but I am thrilled with it just the way it is! To make it even better, I just remembered, I also have a set of Dia de los Muertos skull drawings like farmgirljane's, from my pal Fabric in a different swap, and I can add some of those to the box too.  ;D

Such greatness; I'm so thankful/joyful!

However the package she sent is amazing!!

Whats the tin in the picture???   I had asked for a tin that said "life savings" on it.  I was going to use it for spare change found around the house or to use for laundry money.  Now its a decor piece.  I love it and there is no way im chancing this getting stolen or ruined!!  Its great and better then I envisioned!!  Thank you so much!!

I sent a pair of embroidered onesise to Sanditerese and I know she is a busy mommy so I thought I would post for her because I am really proud of them! It was my first time embroidering onto t-shirt material and I don't think I will be doing it too often...  ;D I did learn that tear away stabalizer is great and longer sitches are best. She asked for a shirt that said "Oma's Girl" with flames and she likes to knit so I also sent one that says "Purl Girl" with a ball of yarn. I also threw in a hair bow to match each. She said she loves them and that her daughter looks adoreable in them. Yay!  :D

i recieved a beautiful package from 1boy1girl1kitty2 last week. she claimed me for 1 tote bag, but sent me 2 beautiful ones!

-the two bags..

1. the bag at full size (beautiful fabric choices!)
2. the bag at normal size, it has a really nice shape! (with little buttons at the side to widen the bag) the bag also has LONG straps, which i absolutely love and is a must have on all my bags!
3. the bag at full load with ALL my school books in it. i think i may have to start using this as a bookbag! (and yes, that is a 2.5inch binder, 150 page sketchbook, and that blue book is my 1505 page english textbook!) with all this, and the bag/straps are still stable!  :o
4. a close up of my favourite spot on the 2nd tote bag!
5. the 2nd tote bag, with an adorable quilted design on the front!
this bag is perfect for storing loose papers and folders from school!

thank you so much, 1boy1girl1kitty2! youre sewing is flawless!

What is the text on the egg one? I can't quite read it, though I got up close to the screen and squinted.  :)

I can make out " a true friend is one who thinks you are a good egg even if you are half  _________"  ;D

Yesterday I received a fantastic package from witchybelle4u2 - she really spoiled me and I LOVE everything!

Lots and lots and lots of buttons:

A fimo decorated crochet hook (similar to ones on my wist), 2 polymer clay charms (also similar to something from my wist):

4 pewter charms and while I really appreciate them all, I actually squealed when I saw the measuring tape as I've wanted this particular charm for quite awhile:

THANK YOU for such a fantastic package!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great packages! thank you everyone for sending (and making!!) such lovely things!

Disneybelle said I could post a picture.
I sent her some black and white ikea fabric b/c they didn't have the flower one she wanted.  But, I said I would make something inspired by the fabric she wanted, which I did take a picture of.  It is some quilling on top of a marker drawing of the fabric.  It is in a square 5 in shadow box.

The quilling is so beautiful! How difficult is it to do? It's just spectacular!

I have already started to make pillows out of the black and white fabric that summertimerolls sent :)  The shadowbox art matches the flower fabric perfectly and after I finish moving I will post a picture of everything together :)

Before you try that monkey pattern please drop me a line and get the correct pattern - the one that got printed on it is the wrong pattern - long story about the tallywhacker monkey but they printed the wrong pattern on that monkey pattern.....

The right one has not surfaced yet - I keep checking the pull patterns when I see them but still the wrong pattern :'(
I have been given permission to post up the right pattern ;)

It's still a monkey but not the one that is pictured  on the pattern... it is more sock monkeyish - no neck... the tail is the same as the legs, etc... just not as shaped - which isn't all that shaped since that is what they asked for...

I got the most fabulous package from bkrenning this morning - it has a long history. Basically another swap member has both hers and my packages from bk - and hasn't been in touch :(( (if the person concerned is reading this I think you should at least send one package back to her to make amends)
So I was sent a replacement package - which is completely fabulous and you should prepare to wist!!

She read that I wanted a jewellery organiser - so made one from scratch from wood that is beautifully painted, stencilled and then varnished. It also has padded sections to attach brooches to and little hooks to hang my necklaces.

the outside:

the inside:

and a bonus necklace which is beautiful:

SO a big thankyou to bkrenning - and I hope she gets extra special feedback for this round as a result!!!
