Beautiful, as usual!  Love the closure too.

How did you do the binding on the spine to hold the pieces together? ... or did you use a strong clay that's flexible after curing or liquid clay as a hinge?

Thanks for everyone!

(How did you do the binding on the spine to hold the pieces together? ... or did you use a strong clay that's flexible after curing or liquid clay as a hinge?)

I didn't used here nothing , just clay Fimo and Premo ,. I made a base from different color of polymer clay ( on hard cardboard )and decorated with '" little  sneaks" and baked about 40 min.

Maybe I'm actually seeing the book backwards!  ;D
Is the side showing to the camera the "spine" side? ...and if that's so, is the one tie I see the only thing holding the back and front of the notebook together?

I had assumed that the tie was just a fancy way to keep the book closed when not in use and that there would be some kind of binding on the other side to keep the pages and the covers together permanently.
There are various ways clayers have thought of to make bindings/hinges/etc. for the covers of books/notebooks/journals, so I just wondered what you'd done for yours  :).

This is truly a work of art!  I just sort of gasped when I saw it.  Beautiful.  How much did materials cost (push molds and clay)? and how much time did you spend on this?

Thanks again !
"This is truly a work of art!  I just sort of gasped when I saw it.  Beautiful.  How much did materials cost (push molds and clay)? and how much time did you spend on this?"
So', let me see... i used  here 3 different stamps ( stamps's costs around 5-12 $),polymer clay for this progect around 6$ , 4 hours for making notebook from paper ( time together with cut paper )and  about 5 hours for cover from polymer clay . Its take time when I am working with polymer clay , all the time stop and thinking and looking for the best result . some kind " may be this way better , or no , may be this.." Ofcouse , when you are doing something the same over , and over and its became faster and faster , but i don't make cope, I don't have inspiration for this , and this is why , when  i am  making new progect its take time
