Seems like I'm the first to receive - yay! Got this from my wonderful swap partner, Kurtzie, today:

Cocoa-cup earrings! These are the items I treasure the most from the wonderful package:

Kettle book thong, also wonderful and something I really need :P

After-coffee-chewing-gum. That is just so cool!

Ghiraldi cocoa and marshmallows:

Handmade soap! Handmade raspberry cocoa soap!

Handmade cards - "The cocoa collection". So cool!

Butterfinger cocoa. Looks really yummy!

A very beautiful cocoa kettle bracelet. Love the color of the beads

And, now I feel really bad for not getting her a proper card, like the one she sent me. Look at the prettiness!

Last, but not least, it all came in a really cool bubble-envelope!

She has really been the perfect swap partner! Thanks, Kurtzie! :D

Wow, those packages are great. I love the cocoa cup earrings, very stylish. And the ruling the world with enough coffee makes me smile lots.

I've been real rushed off my, well... fingers at work recently so have been having coffee in the morning and then coffee flavoured tea ;) as I haven't had the time to clean my cup out. Then more tea.

I'm going to push myself to finish more of my package this weekend. I would have had more done sooner only I sort of gave my first attempt to my boss as a leaving present. Her being very into teas and such as well ::)

I got an awesome package from Pheather today.  My kids were as excited as I was open it all.  She out did herself.

Over view of all the xtra goodies and  things she crafted for me.
All the goodies: coffee, tea, instant espresso,  two bookmarks, coffee play dough for the kids, Sweet Elixir of Life (instant homemade coffee mix), very, very yummy btw as I already fixed myself up a cup. like dessert in a cup.  It's lovely coffee apron.

A close-up of the outside of the box of teas:

Tea Box filled with lots of teas, you can see a pretty paper bookmark and a thread book. She also some magnetic frames which I'll be looking for pics of my kids to put on the fridge.

More of the goodies where you can see the pretty bottle with the homemade Sweet Elixir of Life mix. I don't think I will be running out of things to drink for while.

Thanks so much!

What a great package! What does the inside of the box say?

Title: Re: I <3 Tea/Coffee/Cocoa Swap Round 4 Gallery
Post by: Pheather on May 14, 2007 04:39:30 PM
I am glad you like it sammimag.  I had fun doing all that for you.

Coral:  I wish I remembered the interior of the box exactly.  It has the chinese letter (I am sorry I don't know exactly what chinese lettering is called) for tea at the top and explains how the character is made.  I got the image off of google images, I googled tea and looked through a bunch of pages until I found it(it is a little blurry because I resized it to fit in the lid).

Ooooh, what a fabulous box of goodies! I think I'm going to try to send my package on Wed.
I think I may have permanantly killed my sewing machine, so I've been trying to finish this last thing...but, I think I'm going to have to come up with something different, because my hand sewing is worse than my machine sewing.

I can't wait to send/recieve, I'm so excited! Everyone is doing such great stuff.

Ok, I sent to Meredithy last week, and I just can't wait. I have to post pics. Sorry, the light wasn't very good.

(The whole deal)

The purse

Closeup of the pocket on the outside. "With enough caffeine, I could rule the world."

An excuse to show a picture of "the boss". She was making sure the stitchwork was satisfactory.

Ok, it looks a little like... poo. BUT! It's homemade coffee scented air freshner for her car! And it closes, so it doesn't get too intense!

The tea cannister, which allegedly didn't make it.  :'(

Notecards w/ envelopes

Last but not least, a picture of a few extra goodies!

Oh! Added bonus! Recipe to roast your own coffee with a popcorn maker.

I hope you liked it Meredithy!

I just did some crafting this morning and a ton of shopping yesterday.  I'll probably be sending out ... Saturday (yes, a day late, sorry, the post office will be closed by the time I leave work and not open when I go).

Everyone's stuff looks great.  I can't wait to settle down and enjoy my package knowing everyone out there is doing the same!

uh oh, maybe I didn't do enough, and I already sent!  That's a great package.

Thanks for the compliment.  Please don't worry about what you sent.  I think I overcompensated due to swap anxiety (this was my first swap).  I also didn't realize how much I had done until I got it all together, but I sent it all anyways because I bought/did it all specifically for my swap partner.

I am loving everyone else's stuff as well.  My MIL called me at work and let me know my package is waiting at home for me (she watches my daughter while I am at work).  I can't wait (42 minutes to go until I get to leave!).

Luckily I got a day of work this week so had time to leisurely pop in to post my parcel instead of arriving late (although I am on flexi-time so it isn't that bad). I have horrible first swap anxiety expecially after seeing everyone's lovely stuff...

oh and to top it all off, I found a perfect item for this swap...an hour after I posted the parcel   :-[ ah well...

***EDIT:  Thank you both Sammimag and Dulcinea for your help with the pictures.  Hopefully it worked this time.  ***

I received yesterday.  Thank you so much Sammimag, I loved everything.  I now know that I need to get off my butt and learn to read crochet patterns (I have only ever done scarves).  Everything was perfect!  This is my first picture post, so bear with me if the images are large, there are too many or they don't show up.

First of all here is a group shot (except for the cool bookmark, which is in the cup modeling my coffee cozy)

Next are some wonderful fulled/felted coasters shaped like a teapot.

Here is the awesome embroidered hair scarf (which has the same sun/moon fabric as my daughters baby quilt (I love suns/moons/stars)

A coffee cup armigumi (sorry if I spelled it wrong) which now lives on my desk at work.

A coffee cup cozy and some chai tea: with a pattern Sammimag made up (here is where my crochet jealousy really kicks in)

And a knitted dishcloth with a steaming coffee cup design in it (sorry if the picture is hard to see, maybe I will get better at it.  Also the colors are off but it was the best way to show off the pattern).  Sammimag has mad crochet and knitting skills (I can't believe that you just taught yourself, you did awesome)

Awesome bookmark:

Thank you so much Sammimag, you made this experience wonderful.  I forgot a solo picture of the coffee, and it sure smells deliscious.  I am glad you enjoyed everything!

I am so glad you like everything!

I use flickr too.  The problem is you need to use BBC ( bulletin board code) and not html.  I use flickr too and use this tool here (http://www.derwunsch.de/f2b/index.php).

I go to flickr, get the small image html code, paste into the code changing tool, then copy the new code into the reply window.

Thanks for the comments everyone.  I sure had fun putting it together.  The color coordination was easy 'cause I did my best to use colors pheather liked and I had lots of purple on hand 'cause that's my favorite color. I need to make me some of the felted teapot coasters too.

I'm going to toot my own horn a bit and show this part of the bookmark because I was please how it turned out. I want to make myself one now. When I do I'll share the pattern.

The inside of the "cups" are needle felted.

I am glad you like it all pheather!

Post by: Pheather on May 16, 2007 04:07:41 PM
I am glad you tooted your own horn, as my picture (well the one my husband took as I have little or no photography skills other than point and shoot) does not do that bookmark justice.  I can't believe how intricate it is.  Thanks for posting a better picture :D

Yes, I adore the bookmark!  When you come up with the pattern, can you post it on this message board, or at least tell us where to look?  I'd love a few of those and I could see them being popular in the next round of this swap (which I'd love to be involved in).  I'm having the most fun with this swap!

I am sooo spoiled.  My camera won't work though, I'm going to make the boy look at it when he gets home from work.  My photo shoot is all set up though.

Okay, day two of dental procedure induced intoxification, BUT I think I managed to get the pictures uploaded properly. Here goes:

This is the stuff I recieved from yarn_tart

Heres the store bought yummies she sent. (The coffee crisp bar lost the fight during mailing, but the rest of the stuff is fantastic!)

GORGEOUS tea themed stitch markers. They are SO cute. I am already using them, I started knitting up a sweater last night, and it just so happened that these markers fit on my US9 needles best. They are also my favorite shades of green.

This is some Australian wool she dyed with tea

Scented coasters (that soak up "spilled during nitros haze" hot chocolate accidents quite well!)

A flower pot with a wonderful overlapping tea pot pattern and quote on it.
Inside and next to, is some cocoa mix and scone mix that she sent, I'm going to bake the scone mix tonight to have with breakfast tomorrow once I can eat solids again!

And my personal favorite: This GORGEOUS hand thrown ceramic mug. I do pottery too, so I was stoked to get this! It's nice and light weight so it doesn't feel like you're lifting weights when it's full, and it's glazed a very pretty goldish brown.

She also requested that I post pictures of the stuff I sent her, since her camera cable is lost. I'll wait until she recieves though!

Thank you so much yarn_tart!

Lovely stich markers. No idea how you use them but they alsways look great.

Fabulous stuff!  Wow, tea dyed yarn, I love that.  And I'm lusting after the mug.

But more importantly,  ;) I got my package from hardyswanton01 last night!!  You should have seen my face, I was like a little kid at christmas again (This is my first swap)!  I love everything, it was all tasteful and it felt so good to know somebody put thought into my preferences and made stuff I really LOVE!  I'm super excited about it; one of the items is a needle roll-up case made from fabric with a coffee cup motif on it and I already put all my knitting and crochet needles in it!   :D :D  How did you know I needed a needle case?!  I also had a lot of fun fitting the knitted tea cozy over my teapot (it fits perfect), and it also doubles as a "sexy hat" according to my fiance!   8)

I will post pictures tonight when I get home from work since I didn't have time last night.  Thanks for all the great stuff, hardyswanton01 and I hope you get your package soon!   ;D

razorsharp- You got some great stuff! And bummer about the coffee crisp bar- I love those and we can't get them here. I'd just eat the crushed remains...  :D

I love the tea dyed yarn. I really want to try some yarn dyeing, and I never thought of using tea! And I love the mug- it looks like it would be nice to wrap your hands around (my definition of the perfect mug: I can wrap my hands around it and they will be warm, but not burning). And, I like how she decorated the flower pot!

This is the conversation my mom and I had over the phone only an hour ago.  Better yet, this occurred directly after getting back from the platelet donation center for the first time!

Mom: !#@$ DVD player won't work.  Must. Record. Lost.
Me: I see a post office truck outside.  It must have my package.  I have to leave for work in fifteen minutes.  Must. Get. Package.
Mom: LOST!
Me: PACKAGE!
Mom: ANGST!  Can't record Lost!
Me: Oh, here comes the mailman!  He's cute!  AND HE HAS A PACKAGE!!!
Mom: Huh? Package?
Me: *barely waits until the mailman has put the box down before attacking it*
Mom: Package?
Me: Byemom.

So then, I opened my goodies and was SO excited!  razorsharps gonna post pictures, but I must tell you how great it all is!  I got an amazing knitted purse which will be so cute for summer picnics, a tank top (which fits - I tried it on while gushing over my goodies on the phone) with embroidered tea theme, chocolate chip cookies, tea goodness and biscotti.  *I could be forgetting something - I had to run out the door minutes after opening to make it to work*  Now, I must mention that I am not a huge biscotti fan.  It's always so dry, but the cookies were slightly melty so I put them in the fridge and took a biscotti for my drive-to-work snack.  And it's soooo good!  I must go to the local coffee house and buy a biscotti which is not from a chain coffee place or packaged.  I can't wait to eat it with some tea.  :)

I got the charms for the stitch markers at Wal Mart.  I'm glad you like everything!

I guess that's why I couldn't find the tea cup charms. My wal-mart doesn't have a craft section since katrina.

Biscotti is really dry because you're supposed to dip it in the coffee/tea.  Then it gets soft and velvety.  ;)

So! I received my amazing package from bronzfrog today. :) Lets get right to the pictures (tons of em)

First! I got a hand painted tea for one set.

And some really cute marble magnets. The backing is fabric.

A handmade pillow case w/ pillow

A tray that matches the tea for one set.

A necklace that "looks like it should be floating in a glass of ice tea." :) I love it. It's so cute.

A very cute teacup candle. :)

And of course, tea... It's so delicious. I've broken into it already and it's delicious. :)

My doggie Agro wanted to help take pictures of the swap stuff. :)

Also, She wanted me to post a picture of the stuff I sent her.

To explain, it was a cocoa package. I figured that we were heading into summer so she needed a reason to drink cocoa other than it's cold out side. So I made a "spa" kit. I put it all in a hand made purse/bag. I made an eye mask and a little bag to hold some of my favorite teas (She said that she drinks tea as well). I sent her some hand made soap (from Austin, where I live) and spa gloves. I also sent her two different cannisters of cocoa. (Raspberry and this yummie organic kind) A book with tons of hot chocolate recipes and some spa towels I was going to wrap the cocoa cup in (but it didn't work out like that). My favorite is the cocoa cup. It's so delicate and pretty. And I'm usually not even into neutral colors. Looking back, I probably should have embroidered something cocoa related on the towels... hindsight's 20/20 right?

PS: Sorry for the incredibly long post. :) I just like to take pictures hehe

Okay! Here are the pictures of the items I received from hardyswanton01:

All together:

Clotted cream, Irish Breakfast Tea, After Eights, French Roast coffee, Coffee body scrub, and a lovely mod-podged box to store my coffee or tea in.  My fiance almost broke into the After Eights before I snapped a pic but I slapped his hand away, lol.

The needle roll (I've wanted one of these forever!) that I immediately put all my needles in.

The very nicely knit tea cozy made with 100% wool, that fits my teapot perfectly! I love the color, it's a dark charcoal grey, one of my most favorite colors. (EDIT: ok well the lighting in my house is obviously very bad, the tea cozy is actually dark brown, which is also a favorite color of mine!)

I love everything!  Thank you again, hardyswanton01!

Okay heres the stuff I sent yarn_tart.

This is just a close up of the embroidery on the tank top. I'm so glad it fits! I hope you find your camera cable because I would love to see an action shot.

These are chocolate cookies made with crushed tea (I used Republic of Teas Vanilla Almond tea, so good.) These are a very special creation of mine to fit the tea theme, they went over so well in our house that I make them every three or four days now to keep on hand (same with the biscotti)

Heres the bag I knitted. It ended up WAAAAY smaller than I thought it would, but it was the first thing I did with cables so I think it turned out okay.

This is the biscotti. I make my biscotti a little less dry and flakey, because I like to eat it as a suppliment to my coffee, not dunked in my coffee. So, its almost like shortbread.

And the really fun thing!

I sent her yarn dyed with tea too! (I also put frozen blueberries and raspberries in with mine to add color.)

I'm glad everything made it there safe. And boy do things ship quick from Ohio to Nevada! I sent on Monday and she recieved today, she sent on Saturday and I recieved on Monday. SUPER QUICK!

the yarn is beautiful! I've never really liked the look of kool-aid dyed yarns, but I might give that technique a try.   Those cookies look so tasty.

Everything looks so pretty! I love the green set, but then I do love matching sets. and the handthrown mug and the tea beads...I can't list all the things I like everyone's stuff is so nice ;D

I have been keeping my eye out for the postman every day (I leave very early for work so always worry I will miss him, luckily the sorting centre is only 1 minutes walk from my house ;) ) and my work colleagues keep asking me if my parcel has arrived. I keep telling them soon, sooooon.

I received my wonderful package from Shazrasha this week! Here's all my loot!

First, a wonderful tote bag.  The fabric is great and the whole bag just feels incredible--I couldn't be more thrilled!

I had also mentioned in my questionnare that I'm always looking for a good way to carry my tea around with me.. otherwise all the bags end up in the bottom of my satchels looking a little worn.  Shazrasha created this wonderful kit that has everything I will ever need on the go:

The little tins contain different varieties of loose tea.  There are also pockets with tea bags and empty tea bags to create my own!

She also sent two boxes of tea, including a self-proclaimed box of Britain's best tea!

And here's everything together:

Thanks, Shazrasha! What a great package!

I love everything that everyone's received.  This is a great swap and I'd love to do it again.  I had so many ideas and would love to do it again.

Yay, CORAL!  I'm so glad you like everything.  I looked and looked for coffee fabric that I thought you'd like and couldn't find anything, then one day my mom and I go into Hancocks and there it was, on the sale table!

That raspberry tea yarn is such a lovely color!

I got around to getting an action shot of me in the great apron pheather made.  I found out  that the pocket is perfect to fit a skein of yarn in. I can walk, knit or crochet to hearts content as long as I don't trip ;) I have a sock on the needles right now but will have to frog it's too big.

a better close up of the beaded wire bookmark - Pheather did you do all that too?

A few days ago I got this surprise from phantomssiren as thank you for helping out with the swap. Which she didn't need to do but it was sure fun to get.
They are coffee flavored gummies with caffeine and everything :) The gummies are shaped like coffee beans cups and coffee pot.

Love the tea kit. and the apron is super cute.

Teehee I found the coffee gummi's in Hamburg last year and I bought a metric buttload on my latest trip, the lady at the store was very insistant about telling me they were "mit koffein!! Ko-ffe-in!!!!!". Heres a link to their site- baeren-treff (https://www.baeren-treff.de/onlineshop/artikel/28268) (its in German)

I wish your package had come TheWench!  Your's came so fast... Well, hopefully really soon.  I'm drinking a cup of the tea you sent me and it is heavenly,it's raspberry from the mixed box.  Soooooo tasty!  Everyone's things are lovely, the berry yarn is such a wonderful color, and I'm lusting after those sweet little stitch markers.

I thought I'd share this with this lovely group of hot beverage enthusiasts-

My boyfriend got me a set of flowering teas and a glass tea pot for mother's day http://www.worldpantry.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/CategoryDisplay?cgmenbr=175633&cgrfnbr=191379
How cool is that???

Everyone is getting such great stuff!

coral- I love the needle roll! I looked for some neat coffee/tea fabric and couldn't find anything.

razorsharp- The items that you sent to yarn_tart are fantastic! The embroidery on the t-shirt is great, and the cookies sound yummy! And, I also like the color of the yarn- I wouldn't have thought of berries.

lapoli- I love your tea kit! What a neat idea and such a cool way to carry your tea around!

sammimag- I like your apron and I love how you instantly decided to use it to carry yarn around! And that bookmark is lovely!

And aedara, that flowering teapot and tea is amazing. My cousin's bridal shower is next month and she is a tea drinker. I might have to get one of these for her (registry list? what registry list?)...and maybe one for me...and one for my sister-in-law for Christmas...

Title: Re: I <3 Tea/Coffee/Cocoa Swap Round 4 Gallery

I ordered the tea pot from the ceramic store that does my firings sight unseen because I'd hear that you could get a stacking set.  When I went to pick it up I'm like what am I to do with this?   Then while looking around the city for fabric for the pillow that day I found the fabric with the dots and as it was the perfect color for foob I bought it and the striped one.    Problem solved dots for the tea set.
I loved the tray I got in another swap from the wench so much I wanted to try one.  I got a tray at hobby lobby. Of course everything had to match so I painted the edges of the tray and lined it with the dotty fabric and used the striped fabric on the sides.  Then I sprayed it with acrylic sealer.

Right I finally managed to get the photos online of my package from Lapoli.

Here are all the items laid down together. There is from top left and round clockwise: A letter explaining the contents, Local Clover honey, Coffee beans(Bull City Blend) that smells divine, Lovely soaps, Decorated cards,  Bathtea (there were two), knitted coasters, White tea Citrus, Passionfruit Ceylon and a pot sized teaball.  ;D

I'm seriously bouncing waiting for my sister to lend me her coffee grinder to try the coffee beans.

And the lovely cards laid out so you can see the details.

It was all ace. Thanks Lapoli!

This decorated tea box   it is so pretty and nicely done, inside the box tea of course

some coffee themed note cards

This very beautiful Coffee Table book, it has coffee/tea themed pages and recipes and it is so beautiful and interesting, it even has a recipe for coffee bath scrub
I had a hard time picking some favorite pages but here are some of the pages

some more tea and hot chocolates, and a very nice letter and some Australian coins

Some Australian maple syrup to go with one of the recipes in the book

Thank you so much Brianna.

Fantastic stuff, everyone!

I love all of the notecards (including the ones from the start of the gallery)! They are putting me in a card-making mood (which is why I just spent a ton of $$ on new stamps...)!

And, I love the embroidered items, too (redheadskydiver- that must have taken you ages; and sammimag- I love the graphic simplicity- and colors- of the one you did)!

Margrethe, I love the fabric that you used to make Kurtzie's messenger bag. I could not find any cool fabric like it!

The knitted and crocheted coasters are fantastic and phantomssiren, where did you find those plastic tea bag holder things?

And, ViolinRomance, I love the pillow that you made for mommabear1963!

I got my package from coral and boy, is it good!  She sent me a totebag made from a burlap coffee sack, biscotti, chocolate (which only lasted until just after i took the pics), 4 interesting tea bags (i'll have to try these soon), a modpodged box, stitch markers that look like coffee beans, and 1 coffee cup sm, a silk sari coffee sleeve, kona coffee flavored macadamia nuts and a travel coffee cup complete with inserts-one fairy, one a goth kind of image.  now i can go to starbucks and get my lattes in a "personal mug".  Now, the pics:

Thanks coral, it's totally awesome and the bag is very original, i'd never have thought of it!  I'm going to start using it tomorrow! :)

Coral, I hope my misshaped cozy keeps your tea warm.  I did see more of that fabric, too, but I got me some snoopy fabric for my needle roll.

Hi guys!
I just wanted to say thanks so much for the lovely comments people made about my package- especially the pillow which is the second ever one I made so I was a bit worried about how it might turn out!

I got my package from mommabear1963 and it's absolutely lovely!
Thankyou so much! Evrything is just gorgeous or delicious!

Here's everything together: I got some jewellery made from beautiful glass beads and silver charms, a Rapunzel scarf in coffee colours, 2 little amigurumi, a cup cozy and some drinkables too.

To drink- mommabear1963 sent me some of her own mixed teas in a few different flavours- one for relaxing nerves and upset stomachs, one that lifts your spirits if you're feeling "blue" and a "fun" tea of rose and hibiscus that is said to induce love/lust!! Sadly the lemongrass mixture she tried to sent didn't make it through quarantine though :(
She also sent is some great Coconut Rum Coffee that she ground for me (coz I am pathetic and don't have a grinder!) which smells devine and she took notice of my previous posts on the board when I said I love Butterfinger and sent me some hot choc too!

The lovely jewellery- 2 sets of earrings, a 'charm'ing bracelet and a stylish necklace. The beads were shaped like coffee cups and teapots, not to mention the silver charms including teapots, teabags, a little cup and saucer and a piece of cake on a plate witha knife and fork- they are adorable!

The scarf- to get me ready for the winter

The cozy (modelled by the thermis I received in the EOHP Swap) The colours are lovely- I can't crochet so this is great!

And my little donut and cafe con leche.. aren't they cute! Their little smiles make me happy :)

Thanks again mommabear1963- you've been a great partner!!
:)

First of all, Butterfinger Cocoa looks like the best thing on the planet and I cannot believe that I didn't know it existed!

Second of all, I got my package from honeyd, and PM'd her, saying that I would "post pics tomorrow".... last week. It completely slipped my mind, and I feel so awful! I even printed the picture out, and have it in my swap journal already, and didn't even post it here. I am a bad, bad poster.

Those are two beautifully painted giraffe-print coffee cannisters (that seal super-well so the coffee stays fresh!) a bag of coffee grounds (that I think may be flavored, but the bag doesn't say) and some chocolate covered coffe beans.... and two HUGE coffee cups! They are the perfect thing to go with my latte machine.
Everything was great, the chocolate coffee beans are already gone, and I have filled the cannisters with coffee and tea.

THANK YOU!!!

sorry to have to do the photo collage but i have 50000000 swap pics to upload tonight and i need to sleep eventually!   ;)

so going clockwise from top right:

1) awesome cafe themed cannister
2) little sleeves to put on my coffee to protect my hand from the heat!  and a travel coffee mug!  (i lost mine when i moved!!)
3) group shot
4) a recipe card holder and a TON (literally like 25) recipes for various coffees, tea mixes, and coffee deserts, etc.
5) several yards of coffee themed fabric so i can make a bunch of stuff for my new kitchen!! this was so genius.  she asked me if i had a theme for my kitchen and i said no, so she sent me enough fabric to make it my theme.  i'm thinking aprons, placemats, trivets!!! woo!

Wow! Miss a day or two and miss a lot!

hardyswanton01- I so want that bag! My friend's brother used to work for a coffee roasting company. I wonder if he still has connections...hmmm...must investigate this...

bekahzz- What an awesome package! I love the fabric on the wristlet, the magnets are great, the drawing is wonderful, the caffeine shirt is funny and the cappuccino cozy is fantastic!

ViolinRomance- I'm jealous about the Butterfinger cocoa that you also got. I have to look for this in the stores. The amigurumi are adorable (I think I have those patterns- I need to make some!). The tea mixes sound yummy and the cup cozy is such a good idea!

Fluxity- I love the giraffe canisters and those mugs are the perfect mugs for holding with both hands while sitting curled up on the couch!

smashergirl- The monster cup cozy is a riot! The tea bag stuffie is pretty cute, too. And the dragon tea pot is very cool!

thewench- I love the knitted dishcloth! It's subtle, which makes it that much cooler!

bethiej78- The coffee sleeves are great, and I can't wait to see what you make with your coffee themed fabrics! And PS: I like the photo collage- how do you do that?

For those of you who liked the burlap coffee sack tote bag, I started a thread in the bags section that has more pictures and a brief explanation of where I got it and how I did it.  It's here:

Thanks for the positive feedback!  It's the first bag I've ever made so I'm glad you guys like it.

I got some awesome stuff from smashergrl today, even if I had to go grumble at some postal workers to get it.

from left to right: Awesome pacman themed coasters, a fluffy mug cozy, a coffee crisp bar, a polymer clay coffee cup figurine with wire "smoke"(very clever),  a crochet skull trivet, a recipe booklet and some German chocolate cake whole bean coffee, and Japanese popcorn tea . The German chocolate cake smell freaking delicious and the popcorn one stupefied me for a bit. There's actually popcorn in it. Can't wait to try them both tomorrow morning. She also sent this:

A very lovely T-shirt with a skull mug on it. Thanks so much smashergrl!

bethiej78- The coffee sleeves are great, and I can't wait to see what you make with your coffee themed fabrics! And PS: I like the photo collage- how do you do that?

Using Microsoft PowerPoint.  I will try to explain, but sometimes I suck at explaining.  Here it goes anyway:

First I click and drag the pics I want to use from their folder into powerpoint (or sometimes use the command "insert picture from file").  Then I arrange them however I want them to look, and then select them all at once (either by clicking and dragging over to highlight them all, or holding down CTRL and clicking each one individually.)   While they're all selected, you right click on any one of them, and in the menu that pops up there's an option called "Grouping", under which, the first command is "Group" - click this.  This will group all the pictures together as one item.  Then you right click on them again (as the one item), and when the menu appears select the command that says "Save as Picture."  This will default to the file type "enhanced windows metafile" but if you use the dropdown you'll see that jpg and gif are also both options.  then just save it onto your computer to be uploaded later!

hope that was clear!  if not feel free to ask any Qs.

Hurrah! I am so glad you liked everything. Especially the tea tray, I shall have to pass some compliments on to my DB's dad as he helped me with routing the edge. (I may have to make myself one in the future ::) )
I think I was most nervous about the apron, it's my first  :-[ But I couldn't resist when I found that fabric, it looked just like coffee cup stains.  ;D

Now I hope when I get home there is a parcel slip waiting for me as I wasn't in on Saturday *fingers crossed*

Oof, do I ever feel stupid.

So, my BF is making breakfast this morning (amazing!!) and so I handed him the little bag of coffee that honeyd sent me, to have along with breakfast. He took it up to the kitchen, then came back down with a puzzled look on his face and this in his hand:

A crochet, giraffe print coffee cup! It's filled with coffee beans, which is part of why I thought the bag was filled with coffee grounds.... it smelled like coffee, too! (It smells really really great, I think I'm going to put it in my car and see how it does as a freshener). Thanks honeyd, sorry that I didn't find it sooner!

I'm still waiting for my partner to send. She also hasn't had a chance to post pics of what I sent, and I forgot to take them. So, I figured I'd at least list what I sent her...

I made her a set of the criss-cross coasters. I also made a tea box (full of tea) out of matching fabric. I made a set of note cards using paper that I tea dyed. My favorite part was a set of clear glass tea cups that I etched with the symbols for "Harmony" and "Serenity" on one side, and the matching words on the other.

I also came across this neat Green Tea book with all kinds of neat recipes and stuff in it (I got one for myself, too). I also threw in a tea ball and a tea bag squeezer along with some loose teas.

I had a lot of fun making stuff for this swap. I started making stuff as soon as we were assigned partners, and then got backlogged with other things. And then I missed the post office on the day of the mailing deadline. :'( But at least everything arrived safely and she said that she loved it all  :D

Good idea craftADDchick - my partner my partner seems verrry busy (I think with school) so here is a list of what I sent (I only have two pictures)

I used glass paint to decorate a large teacup and saucer set. I tried and tried and tried to take a picture that actually looks like it in real life, but because of the clear glass and paint... nothing looks like the real deal. I painted it blue, then purple, and highlighted in silver.

Satin-ribbon covered tea tin, filled to the brim with tea.

Also, I re-painted a tiny porcelain tea set, in the same blue/purple theme (for dollies) and made a pretty stationary set, to "have a cup of tea and write a letter."
I made a pretty tea-themed paper collage, but had to (gasp) fold it to mail it to her, I am pretty strapped for cash and couldn't afford the mail-tube-thing. I hope she liked it anyway. I also sent some lovely loose teas, a caramel black tea, and  some kind of chai.

Cool beans! Hopefully you can get a more accurate picture of that cup, cause I sure had  one heck of a time with it, sheesh. :) I'm glad that you liked everything!

And I wanted to know that I LOVE chocolate covered coffee beans, but I really only got to enjoy what you sent me "in theory" - as in: the BF also adores them, and adored the whole bag while I was at work. He said they were very good, though.

I had to do the same for the tea cups that I etched. It took a while to cut out the characters, but the end result was worth it. It's funny because I had the tea cups but never used them (very similar to yours), and once I etched them, I almost couldn't give them away!

Finally, pictures!!!!

I have a lot, so stay focused here!

First everything all together: (except for the collage)

This is the fantastic collage that Fluxity made for me!  It's going to go in my room with all of the art that I collect.

This is the canister filled with teas!  I love the mango one, and the snapple strawberry makes such a perfect iced tea!

These are teas that Fluxity found at a local tea shop near her.  I'm so glad I got you to go in there!  The teas smell wonderful!  And I'm going to make a cup for myself tonight.

These soaps smell so good!!

This is the mini tea set she sent me!

It's perfect size for my new doll!

This is some of the wonderful stationary she sent me.  It's perfect for all of my birthday thank-yous!

And these tiny cards that I'm sending to some special friends =D

She also sent me this great book with tons of quotes and little things to say in letters, like apologies, and thank yous.  It's so perfect!!!

Finally, the wonderful cup!!!

I also have some close up shots of the mini cards and a few more of the tea set in my flickr: http://flickr.com/photos/honeyd/sets/72157600375663556/with/558097591/

Thank you so much Fluxity!  I love absolutely everything!  You have been a wonderful swap partner!

After much waiting and going to prod the postmen twice to see if they were hiding my parcel, I arrived home yesterday to a note saying they had tried to deliver one.
Cue me trying really hard not to get too excited and then sending the DB out at 7am to fetch it for me (it is only 2 mins walk at most to the post sorting office)
Enough talk! On with the goodies!
I opened the extras first. Included were coffee treats for the DB to enjoy (a lovely thank you for fetching my parcel for me), tea for me  :D and GRITS  ;D which I asked specifically for as I had always wanted to try them ever since I saw My Cousin Vinnie as a child. I will be having one of them for breakfast.

Next up a lovely tea tray that is perfect for all my little Chinese teapots. With this but I forgot to take a photo are some beautiful napkins. I love the colour. I know you said it was a mistake kitschkween, but you must have known I love to use napkins at dinner. I have some napkin rings that will be great with them.

A tea bag folding kit. I'll be able to learn what to do with all the teabag papers I have been saving. hurrah!

And the best bit of all. A relax kit. I am starting work at my conference today and a relax kit is exactly what I will need after a long day of helping conference goers.
http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1004/745220733_82c0dee271.jpg
Handmade soap (which I will have to hide from DB as it made his eyes water poor guy, I will add it to the rest of the anti-DB soaps I own hehe),White chocolate, yum, a bookmark with my favourite song on it, a CD and (not in photo) chamomile tea.
Also last but definitely not least! Some cute Mary Jane slippers which will keep my feet warm and snuggly in the staff flat at night  ;D

Thank you so much Kitschkween!
And thank you Phantomsiren for organising.
Thanks both of you for worrying about my parcel too, even if it did turn up in the end.
