Details of swap:
Do you love Halloween? Do you think about Halloween throughout the year, not just in October?  Do you love opening presents?  If you answered yes to any of those questions then this may be the swap for you! This swap is a Mini 13 days of Halloween swap. Instead of opening all your presents at once like in other swaps, we count down the days to Halloween starting with 10/17. You will open day 13 on October the 18th, day 12 on October the 19th and so on until 10/30.  (This is a flexible time schedule however.  Please communicate with your partner.  If you or they need to adhere to a different schedule, that is, of course, okay as long as youve both worked it out beforehand.)

Requirements:
-You must post in this thread before signing up
-A minimum of 13 items, one for each day.
-At least 6 crafted items must be sent, equal to 5 small (Under $10 or under two hours to craft) and 1 medium (Medium = 2 or more hours to craft or $10-$30 dollars)
-Spoiling is okay but do not expect the same in return. If you would like to spoil, please discuss it with your partner!
-You must post in the thread at least once a week (or communicate reason you cannot)
-You must PM both your partner and organizer when you send and receive
-You must post photos in the gallery and if you cant please ask your partner to do so.  We all want to oooh and aaah over the goodies!

Some things to think about:
*THIS SWAP IS LARGE! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY ON JOINING AND IF YOU DOUBT YOU CAN DO IT PLEASE DONT JOIN.  WE WANT THIS SWAP TO BE TOTALLY FLAKE FREE!!!!

* I STRONGLY recommend that you have a Pinterest board for this swap, as it helps out your partner greatly. Please keep this updated and have at least 20 items on it. If you do not have a Pinterest board, please have another way to show items to your partner that you like (Etsy favorites, flickr, etc...)

*If you are sending BAKED GOODS, please only send them if you live in the same country as your partner. We do not need to tempt customs people to keep your package after you have worked so hard on it! Also, if you are sending baked goods you should make this the package that is opened on day 1!

*I highly recommend that you wrap your items in a plastic bag/trash bag/ or some other protective wrapping INSIDE the box you are sending. Things can get wet from rain and/or snow OR things can melt in hot temperatures.

If you want to participate, fill in information and send to organizer calixita

ORGANIZED SWAPS / ACTIVE SWAPS WHERE SIGN-UP PERIOD HAS CLOSED / Mini 12 Days of Christmas 2017 (sign up 7/18 to 8/4/17; s/o 11-25-17) by Helena Puck
Date started: July 18, 2017 08:59:15 PM, Replies: 285

It's that time of year again!  Time to sign up for the MINI 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS SWAP!!!!  It may seem a bit early to some, but I love knowing theres a long crafting time.  Especially since this swap is on the bigger side and the holidays can be hectic so, starting early just makes things easier and stress free.

This is a swap for all you Craftsters out there who would like to do a Christmas/Holiday swap but, feel that the original 12 Days Of Christmas swap is too big for them.  Be sure to read everything through and that you understand it all. If you have any questions feel free to post them in this thread or send me a pm.

Swap name: MINI 12 Days Of Christmas Swap 2017
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: Helena Puck
Co-organizer: lindyv321

Sign-up date range: from 7/18 to 8/4/17
Date to send items by: 11/20 for international packages and 11/25 for US packages.  Please note the change!
Limited to a certain number of people: 30 (if more people join, I will need a co-organizer)
Restricted to people who all live in the same country? No
All ages allowed? 16 and over, regardless of your age make sure you have a way to the PO and the means to participate in this swap.

I reserve the right to deny any Craftster's entrance into this swap for any reason including the following...
-ANY "negative" feedback and/or comments
-poor communication in past swaps
-consistently sending late in past swaps
Note: I will also leave feedback reflecting your actual participation in the swap (good/poor communication, early/late sending, etc)

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES
- Is at least 18 years old: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month.  YES
- Has posted at least 15 times.  YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps.  YES
- Does not have any negative feedback.  YES
- Has participated and received positive feedback in at least 1 other swap.  YES
- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 16 years old: YES
- If within the US, understands that Delivery Confirmation number is required for this swap: YES
- If outside the US, understands that a mailing receipt copy is required for this swap: YES

Details of swap:

The idea of this swap is to craft for your partner 12 items based on their interests, going along with the idea of the 12 Days Of Christmas song. The items that you make DO NOT have to be the items in the 12 days of Christmas song. The items sent/received can be BOTH everyday items and Christmas/Winter themed goodies. You will make 6 small items for days 1-6, for days 7-10 you will make medium items and days 11 & 12 will be large items. So that is 2 large, 4 medium and 6 smalls for a total of 12 days.

So, the break down will be:
DAYS BREAKDOWN:
Days 1-6 small
Days 7-10 medium
days 11-12 large

In the past round it was 75% crafted items & 25% store bought.
(extras are optional and are solely up to you.)

Below are Craftster guidelines for size requirements to help everyone. If you are having troubles with a certain size feel free to make an equivalent to the particular size. For instance, instead of a medium, you could look at the guidelines and substitute the 1 medium for perhaps 2 or 3 smalls. Just be sure to look at the guidelines and use your best judgment. Put yourself in your partners shoes and ask yourself if you think you would be happy with the equivalent of the items they choose. And, if in doubt, you can always send a pm to me and get a second opinion, and if youre still in doubt, ask another person in this swap. Here are the guidelines:

By Time
-Large = 3 or more hours
-Medium = 2 or more hours
-Small = 2 or less hours

By Price
-Large = $30 or more
-Medium = $10-$30 dollars
-Small = $10 or less

By Size
-Large = A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse, DIY kits, blankets, bags, totes, cable knitted items, place mat sets, cable leg warmers, pretty knit socks, kitchen set of potholders/apron, set of embellished dish towels.
-Medium = one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf, wrist warmers, thread catcher, note card set, hats, magic yarn ball, embroidered pillow case, apron, stencil shirts.
-Small = Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks, hand carved stamps, coasters, pot holder, key chain, dish clothes, decorated frames, journals, head bands, pincushion, heat packs.

Please note-these are just ideas of crafts to make.  I have potholders in the small category.  However, if you make an intricate one with lots of pieces or an embroidered one, it could also count as a medium, or if you make a set of 4 that could be considered medium too.  I just put it in the small category because I was thinking of one simple potholder.  So, please use your best judgment with sizes.  You can always ask my opinion or another swappers opinion if you want.  I think the most important thing is to put yourself in the receivers shoes Would you be happy receiving a simple potholder as a small item?  Would you be happy if your large item was a cabled scarf?  Anyways..

Note: In the past there has been slight confusion on how to label packages.  So just to make it clear the first package you want your partner to open, you label as #1.  Then for the 2nd package you want them to open youd label #2 the second and so on.  So, #12 package would be the last package opened.  You can also label them by dates, as in put 'DEC 1' on the first gift your partner will open then the last gift would be labeled DEC 12th.  Either way you want to label them is fine.  Just make sure that the small gifts are opened first and the last gifts opened are the large.

The RULES:
1. You must send ALL PM's to Helena Puck and all PM's must have the subject line: Mini 12 Days of Christmas 2017.   Note: I am in Alaska, so the timezone will be different. If I am ignoring you, it is probably because it is in the middle of the night for me.

2. You must post in the original thread at least once a week! This starts once partners are assigned. That is only about 10 posts.

3.PM's must be sent to Helena Puck and your partner when you send and receive. If you are sending within the USA or Canada you must get a DC# / tracking # and send it to Helena Puck and your partner. If you are sending outside of your country, you must keep your receipt as proof of shipping, it will be requested if there are any problems! This is mandatory!

4. When you open each days package, you will then need to post in the gallery. I ask that you post pictures within a reasonable amount of time. I know that the Holiday season can be quite hectic, but please get them posted within 5 days of opening. Posting pictures is a requirement for this swap! If you don't have a digital camera and cannot get access to one, please ask your partner to take pictures before they send.

5. The following items are NOT allowed in swap packages:
- Anything that is illegal in the U.S. or wherever you are sending your package to or from.
- Any items that have a legal age requirement to consume in the U.S. such as tobacco, alcohol, pornography etc.
- Mixed CDs containing copyrighted music or similar, including copied software, CDs, DVDs, etc
If you are uncertain please check Craftsters guidelines as well as your local post office

6. If you are sending BAKED GOODS, please only send them if you and your partner live in the same country. I don't want anyone's package to go MIA with the lovely customs officials. Also, if you are sending baked goods, you may leave them out of your package and send them individually so they arrive in a timely manner and don't spoil or go stale.

7. I highly recommend that you wrap your items in a plastic bag/trash bag/ or some other protective wrapping INSIDE the box you are sending. Because of the time of the year packages can get WET due to the post office/ups/etc. leaving them on the doorstep AND some swappers have suggested that you also do this with anything you might send to a hot climate that might melt on your swap goodies.

8. Also, if you will be shipping to a partner that is in a HOT climate during the swap send outs, please do not include anything that might melt on their swap goodies. Think about wrapping them in a plastic baggie or something similar.

9. Here is some info from the USPS on the Flat Rate Boxes: these can be used for Domestic and International but the rates differ for International shipments. And if you purchase your postage online at usps.com or by paypal, com you get a small discount on the postage price. The Flat Rate boxes themselves are FREE (you still have to pay for postage ) from your local post office and also FREE if you get them online from the website usps.com, they will deliver them to you free of charge too!! Canada has some shipping envelopes that can be used within the country or region and prices will vary, but if you are sending something heavy they are a good choice.

10. I highly recommend that each of you put together a WIST or a PINTEREST. These are a huge help for your swap partner. They get to look through all the things you have put into it to get a feel for what you like.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your packages and other details about participating in a swap.

AND AS A REMINDER:
Please remember to keep in the holiday spirit.  Extras are optional-but quality is NOT optional.  I want everyone to receive nice items that were crafted/bought with them in mind.  So, in other words Please read their questionnaire over and over and make sure you are sending them something they will like, and not just random things thrown in a box.  Its never fun to receive a thought-less package, especially when they worked hard to make you crafty wonderful-ness from the heart.

DETAILS OF THE SWAP:

Who doesn't like to make art? And who wouldn't LOVE to randomly discover a bit of art in their local library or park?

Each swapper will create 5 small pieces of art to send to their partner to abandon, with a note attached if desired, outlining the purpose of art abandonment (see more below). After taking pictures of the pieces of art (so we can see detail! Cheesy), the receiving partner will place these items around their local hometown in the hopes of inspiring others and bringing a smile - they should also attempt, if possible, to take a picture of the abandoned art in its abandoned location. Additionally, each person will include 1 small item for their partner. Again, this could be the same as what you made to be abandoned or something different along the swap theme.

As art is received and abandoned, the swapper should post pictures in the gallery.

The swap is open to each person's creativity so make this your own! Great ideas for abandoned art would be things like ATCs, twinchies, mini shrines, embroidery, amigurumi, painted rocks, etc etc! The sky is the limit.

REGARDING THE ATTACHED NOTE:

In the last round, most swappers chose to attach a note to help anyone who might stumble upon their art understand the purpose. Even cooler, some of the swappers got a response from the people that ended up finding their pieces! An example of a note that was included is this:
"Abandoned Art encourages artists and crafters to leave art in various locations around the globe for a lucky, unsuspecting person to find - like YOU!  Use it, give it as a gift or share with someone that you care about.  If this piece of art is not your taste, leave it for someone else to find.  In joy, Enjoy!  If you adopt this piece of artwork, please consider letting us know where you found your art by emailing xxxx@gmail.com."

Here is a link to the last round's discussion and gallery for more inspiration...

Do you love making Teesha Moore-style patches? Have you always admired them but haven't yet caught the TM bug? Well, this could be the swap for you!

In this round of the TM Patch Swap, you will be crafting for 1 or 2 partners (first time swappers will be limited to 1 partner) and from 1-3 patches (you and your partner should agree on the exact number).

Also, you will have the option of exchanging a TM Patch Supply kit with your partner (contents of kit may include: floss, fabric, embellishments {buttons, beads, ribbons, charms, etc}, poly-fil, etc.).

Let's keep this swap simple and limit it to the sending of patches and kits (if you love sending extra things, consider adding those as part of a kit Smiley ).

There are lots of inspirational patches from previous swaps, so check out some of the galleries here:

Here is the Gallery to Round 2: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=452179.0

(BTW - I did ask underthemountain and alteredmommy if it was okay to host the second round - they both said yes!)

CRAFTSTER TRADING CARD SWAP #2
This is the second (and hopefully not the last) Crafster Card Swap. This swap was inspired by the What do you look like thread on the Crafster Off-Topic Chit Chat and the awesome Crafster Canada Meetup in July 2016. The idea is to make a card all about you, kinda like a baseball card, but even more awesome. You can reproduce your card or create new ones for each of your partners. You can craft it from any material, but make sure that it is sturdy and that it will fit into a card sleeve if you are using different materials. Please use both the front and backsides of your card to tell us all about you!

BASIC CARD REQUIREMENTS
There are some basic requirements that should be on your card:
Size of the card: Should be the standard ATC 2.5" x3.5"
Front side: should include your image (can be done as a photo, drawing, painting, digitally altered, completely up to you!) and your Crafster name
Back side: can include your interests, your real name, address, etc. ..whatever you are comfortable with; you can even write a poem.  Completely open!

INFO

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): NO
Additional Age requirement? NO

*DC #s are not required, but you will have to resend if the ATC is not received*
*Please send all your cards on the same day to make it easier on me. Thanks!*

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER
Please send to Smmarrt with Craftsters Trading Card Swap #2 - signup" as the subject.

*Name of Swap:  Craftsters Trading Card Swap #2
*Craftster username:
*Email address:
*Your real name:
*Mailing address including the country (written as it would appear on the envelope):
*Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country? (In the first round, we swapped with all of the participants. This is a requirement for this swap.)
*Confirm that are at least 16 years old or, if not, that you have moderator approval(YES/NO):

***It was discussed in the New Swap Themes thread that everyone wants to swap with everyone else. This might seem overwhelming if this is your first time swapping trading cards. And yes the postage will add up if this is a group of 20 or more swappers. If requested, I can set up a smaller swap group of 5 or 10.

Do you want to swap with everyone who signs up?
Do you want to swap with 5 people?
Do you want to swap with 10 people?

If you are joining the for the second time, would you be willing to swap in one of the smaller groups to help out novice trading card makers? This means you would make an additional 4 or 9 cards to send out.

*What is the exact size of an ATC?
*Will you post a photo of the card(s) when you receive?
*Are you aware that if an ATC is lost in the mail, you are required to resend?
*Have you read the entire swap information for this swap?
*Will you send sent/receive notifications to the swap organizer?
*Will you send all of your cards out on the same date to help the swap organizer?

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also, remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find other rules about participating in a swap.

FEEDBACK
Positive feedback will be given when all of the cards you sent have been received and you have posted pictures of the cards you received. If you are stuck without a space for a swap and are biting your nails waiting, just let me know and I will release you asap.

ANY QUESTIONS?
If you have any questions please post them in the discussion thread or PM the co-organizers, Smmarrt and xxx

Details of swap:
This swap was inspired by this post, featuring "Feltbeasts" by Becky Margraf: http://thisisnthappiness.com/post/155774877079/feltbeasts-becky-margraf

We'll be making four felt patches for each partner (you can request one or two partners), 2x2 inches square.  Many of us may be combining these into collages at some point, so please try to get the dimensions as close to 2x2 as possible! Other than that, the sky (and your partner's Q) is the limit!

Depending upon how this swap goes, I'd love to make this a recurring one so we can all collect lots of these little guys to make collages!

This swap is to make a mini quilt for your partner! We are only going to swap the mini quilt itself, no extras required, so we can focus on making the quilt. If partners agree you may send a couple of tiny extras, but they are not required and you must check with your partner to see if it is ok.  The size of the quilt should be between 1 and 2 feet square (12 to 24 inches), with any size, shape, and dimensions that fits within those parameters. So 12 x 18 inches is ok, and so is a 15 inch circle, but any one side shouldnt be smaller than 12 inches or longer than 24 inches.*

*New round 7* If your partner expresses interest in a mini quilt in the form of a sign/banner or a table runner, and you would like to craft that for them, you may disregard the above dimensions to make a more rectangular, longer piece. This is an easygoing swap, I'm more concerned that you make your partner happy than follow my arbitrary rules Wink

Use whatever methods you want to make a lovely art quilt for your partner! Traditional piecing, English paper piecing, Foundation paper piecing, embroidery, applique, thread sketching, hand dyeing fabric, adding beads or charms, etc.

Everyone should know that they need to keep in contact both with the organizer, co-organizer, and their partner. Im not going to implement anything as rigid as weekly check-ins, but please try to post to the thread at least every couple of weeks and please dont leave your partner or myself hanging if we pm you!

Please make sure you post in this thread for updates as soon as you sign-up/think about signing up.

*I will leave accurate feedback regarding sending on time, meeting swap requirements, and having good communication with organizer and partner. My definition of good communication is sending pm's to both organizer, co-organizer, and partner when BOTH sending AND receiving, answering pm's from organizer, co-organizer, and partner in a timely manner (within 1 day), and letting organizer and partner know if you will be out of town, if you will be late, or if you know you will be unable to communicate for a set amount of time.

*Organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to the swap based on poor performance in previous swaps with this organizer or poor feedback in swapper's profile.

If you want to participate, information to send to MareMare :

You must answer all questions! And please list 5 themes where 5 themes are asked for, not fewer. More is ok though.  Wink Thanks!

I am absolutely stealing this from gozer because she did an amazing job!

The weather is getting warmer and the forest is starting to wake up from its winters nap. Foxes and owls are scurrying about while being watched intently by the fairies and gnomes. Now is the perfect time to celebrate this.
Bring your love of Woodland Creatures and Enchanted Forest alive in a craft swap! This swap will be for 1 Large and 1 Medium.

Sign ups will be from March 3rd to March 15th and send outs will be on April 27th so we will have a nice long crafting period. Smiley

You can spoil but please communicate this with your partner.
There has been a bit of confusion as to what is a large, medium, and small item.  So here's a handy dandy guide.  This is a guideline ONLY: a rough estimate of sizes described by time it takes to make package, by physical size and by cost:

By Time
-Large = 3 or more hours
-Medium = 2 or more hours
-Small = 2 or less hours

By Size
-Large = A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse
-Medium = one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf
-Small = Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks

By Price
-Large = $30 or more
-Medium = $10-$30 dollars
-Small = $10 or less

Please remember that it is warming up so if you decide to send foods that are meltable or perishable then stick them in a zip lock bag! We dont want to accidentally ruin the wonderful things youve made!

No one likes to be flaked on, so if you aren't sure if you can do this swap, dont sign up.
If you know you will be late or unable to complete the swap please let us know ASAP.
Communication is a must. Everyone is required to post up on the thread at least once a week to let us know they are still involved with the swap. If you do not post up it will be noted in your feedback. If you are going on vacation or will be away from the internet just let us know.

A Tracking Number is required within the U.S., please send tracking number to both your partner and organizer when you send. Mailing receipt need to be kept if sending elsewhere.
PM both your Partner and your team organizer when you send and receive.

Please post pictures of what you receive. Your partner worked hard on it and we would all love to see it! If you cannot post up please let your partner know as soon as you know. Make sure you take pictures if everything you send just in case.

Make one (large) piece of assemblage art for your partner.
Assemblage is the making of 3D (or 2D!) art that oftens involves using found objects

*** Large based on effort, not necessarily size:

By Time
-Large = 3 or more hours

By Size
-Large = A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse

By Price
-Large = $30 or more

We will not be listing themes for this swap in order to give everyone some artistic license in making their piece of art. Please be open to wherever the muse takes your partner and give yourself freedom to play and create ART!! But please keep in mind your partner's absolute dislikes on the questionnaire.

Make sure that your art is wrapped with care for for shipping!! It's always disappointing to receive a broken item.
