In summer we all have that go to pair of flip-flops. Whether going to the beach, shopping or out to dinner, flip flops become to shoe of choice. Let’s face it, they are quick easy and comfy.

Flip flops can be purchased just about anywhere. The dollar stores even carry them in all colors, styles and sizes for the whole family. So why not make them more personalized, make your own or just use them in crafting? Let’s check out some inspiration from the boards of Craftster.

These were store bought but SkyyAngel then added cut strips of fleece to make them a little warmer, but still give her the flip flop feel.

Adding something to give a plain black pair of flip flops a burst of color is exactly what Gina At the Disco did with her Old Navy flippers.

Maybe what you what to create is something more specific in color, design, or custom size? Perhaps making your own tops with sewing machine embroidery could be the way to go.
