October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. So to help bring awareness to breast cancer, let’s paint the town pink! With crafts of course.

Ever wonder what a breast cancer cell looks like? craftydame created this pillow of a breast cancer cell using needlework.

She calls this work of art Deceptive Beauty, which certainly does name it appropriately. Who would have thought something so ugly could be so pretty to look at?

Anyone who wants to show their support for breast cancer research will usually wear a pink ribbon. This lovely Beaded Pink Ribbon pendant by MeiIris is so delicate looking.

MeiIris also makes a good point in her post, men also can get breast cancer. Don’t be afraid to get checked out men.

In this project by MistressT she minces no words on how she feels about cancer.

Using Beatrix Potter toile she created the needlework of Admiral Cottonbotham Hates Cancer. Beautiful stitching and I agree with the Admiral.

What better way to grab peoples attention for a cause than with food?

The Pink Ombre cake by tatatortuga looks almost too pretty to eat. Almost. 😉

For October don’t put off making that appointment to get your yearly mammogram. If you’re too young for mammograms, you’re never to young to learn how to do self breast exams. Early detection is a great way to beat the odds, and save the Tatas!

Thank you for checking out the spotlight.
