Manic Monday: Classic Crocheted Bedspread

Crochet Bedspread So for a lot of people it was the first day back to the grind after the holiday season. I don’t know about you but I’ve definitely had my own manic monday trying to get everything back on track! (Hence the blog post at 9:30pm…)

I know I just featured another white crochet blanket two weeks ago but when I came across this thread today I knew I had to feature it. First of all it’s totally gorgeous and took FOREVER, but really I had to feature it reminds me so much of the vintage bedspreads that my grandmother owns. To me it’s just a beautiful, classic item that will surely be treasured for many years to come!

Emileia made this gorgeous bedspread for her sister. It is 6 feet by 7 feet, took 14 skeins of yarn, and is made up of 42 squares, each of which took 4 HOURS. Wow. Make sure you read the whole touching story behind this item here:
