Keeping Us In Stitches

It’s amazing what some people can do with some embroidery floss and a needle. There are so many beautiful examples posted on Craftster that it was difficult for me to choose only a few to feature, but let’s take a look at five that caught my eye this week.
Finney used photos to recreate a few of her favorite places in stitching. These little gems look almost like paintings!
Have you ever heard of a weather bee? As far as I know, it only exists in the mind of Eleven. Click on her post to find out the story of this interesting insect.
Even ordinary objects look extraordinary when they’re rendered in stitches. Finney‘s tiny backpack and waterbottle look almost identical to the real things.
Whoa, this circus cat! I can’t imagine how many tiny stitches it took Ludi to create this big top masterpiece.
This fabulous stumpwork owl knows that the forest has eyes. The Raging Sloth presented this interpretation of “the wild woods”.

I wasn’t kidding when I said that there were a plethora of great embroidery projects to be found on Craftster. Make sure to visit the Needlework board to see them all!
